Nearly three weeks had passed since he had regained his sanity. He loved running around the plains with his lover. His mother and father always there by his side, and his lover there to talk to him, they passed the days happily together.

One happy family, they laughed, joked, cheered, and played games. The tree at the center of the field eventually shined a bright golden light, the souls that had once consumed it finally put to rest. Sitting by the tree in the night sky, the quartet of happy ponies would relax and talk about whatever entered their minds.

They did have ten-thousand years’ worth of memories, after all.

And in the middle of the night, in the cool breeze that blew around them, with sleep teetering on the verge of covering them with its gentle blanket, a lullaby would ring out from within the depths of the tree. A soothing song that immediately put them to sleep, resting them for the day of fun they would have…
