Rainbow Dash opened her eyes and yawned. Yesterday was a long day of pranks with Pinkie Pie. She got out of bed, feeling a strange pain on her back, but she thought it was a cramp from flying so much yesterday. She stretched out her wings, yawning even more. The pain in her back intensified, so she looked at it in the mirror. There was a really big bruise there. She thought for a moment for what could have caused this. Then she remembered. It was that one prank involving Twilight. The thought was a blur, but she remembered the important parts. She remembered scaring Twilight while she was doing a spell. She couldn't remember what kind of spell it was, but there was a weird type of hole in front of her, glowing purple. “Ok Dashie, once I count to three, we jump out and scare her!” She remembered Pinkie Pie saying. “This is gonna be so hilarious!” Said Rainbow Dash, getting into a position like she was going to pounce on something. “1...2...3! GO!” Shouted Pinkie Pie, startling Twilight. They both jumped out from behind a bookshelf, and then there was a big white light, like a teleportation spell, and then she woke up there in her bed in the morning. Apparently when she jumped out from behind the bookshelf, she hit a huge stack of books that Twilight had read that day, and bruised her back. So, after remembering how she got the bruise, she went into the kitchen to eat breakfast. There was a strange blue...thing there. He looked like he was going through his daily actions. "Do you have anything in the way of actual food?" The strange creature asked. Rainbow Dash was just standing there, slightly scared of what that...thing is. Once she snapped out of her trance, she examined the creature. He stood on two legs, wore strange red things on his feet, had weird noodle like things on the end of his arms, and had a spiky head. Oh yeah, and he was blue. "Wh...who are you? More importantly, what are you?! And what are you doing in my house?!!" Rainbow yelled, slightly startling the creature. "Oh yeah, we haven't gone through introductions yet. My name is Sonic, Sonic The Hedgehog." The creature said. "And you are?" Sonic asked. "Oh uh...my name is Rainbow Dash." She said, a little less creeped out by the creature, now knowing who and what he was. "Wait are you... a horse?" Sonic asked raising an eyebrow. "No, I'm a pony. A pegasus to be exact, and the fastest thing on Equestria." Rainbow Dash said, grinning. "A pony? FAST?!" Sonic said, rolling around on the floor, laughing. Rainbow Dash stood there, embarrassed. "Oh yeah?! You think your so good? Well I challenge you to a race." Rainbow Dash yelled, very angrily. Sonic stopped laughing. "You think you can beat me? Get in line. I'm the fastest living thing in the universe." He said. "Oh yeah? I'll have you know, I broke the sound barrier! TWICE!" Rainbow Dash said. Sonic got up off the floor. "I accept your challenge then." He said. "We meet here at 6:00, got it?" Rainbow Dash said, already imagining Sonic being miles behind her as she passed the finish line. "See you then." Sonic said.
