"How could this happen?" the man said as he held his wife as they watch the world around them fall apart.

"Your tough love in raising the one who who should had stop this cause this to happen," Celestia said to the pair.

"It was for their own good. To be able to handle what they would have to face," the mother said.

"You taught your child to trust no one and that no matter what would never be good enough. Leaving them completely unbalanced and unable to have anyone to join them to stop what's happening. They also have such a horrible childhood that the moment they were free of you two, instead of doing what was needed, they just went wild as they had nothing to keep them on the path. They had no relationship, had no understanding of the world around them or the resolved to do what was needed. Made worst by how the people of this place made sure that they had nothing but tough love as you all call it. What you two actually expect would had happen? They would just go and stop what happening? Just so that they could be loved by the very people who showed none for all of their life?" Celestia asked.

"They should had been able to handle everything on their own," the father said.

"Why don't you go and show your child how it's done?" Celestia asked the father who looked away. "It's always easy to say how others should be able to handle it all by themselves but when you're the one who needs to go and do it. You just look away, unable to do anything without help. That's what you did to your child, unable to gather a group of friends to help them, because they have no idea how to make friends."

"Aren't you going to do something?" the mother asked.

"What's the point? There is no reason for me to save you two or anyone else in this place," Celestia said teleporting away leaving the people to their fate. (1)

Author's Note

1 - The setting is one of those plots where the parents treat their child horrible viewing it as tough love. But ends up in it just having the child not being anything like what the parents wanted or became too much as they wanted and couldn't change their mindset even when it would had been better to do it another way.

And the whole people of a place being just as bad to the kid and ends up the kid not wanting to help out when the people need their help.
