“I told you repeatedly that for it to work the one who is the only one who could do the ritual has to do it willingly and at any point where he doubted the reason why he’s even doing it or is threatened in anyway. The ritual won’t work at all,” Celestia said to former Judge Anderson who found her at an alien space station.
“I know. I was sent to see if there is anyway to undo the damage,” Anderson said.
“Nope and I refuse to go with you as I’ll probably be arrested for… not having a license for my magic or something else you judges have outlawed. Your planet’s core is dead and the protected shield that kept the solar radiation from burning you all is fading away. All because… let me guess Dredd got involved and pointed his gun at the guy’s face,” Celestia guessed.
“No it wasn’t Dredd but what happen is close enough,” Anderson said.
“You humans are going to either move to one of the colony worlds or die on your dead planet. You know I never understood how you humans of this universe got so bad. The whole overpopulation problem only worked if every family kept having large families. In all the other worlds, I went to people don’t want to have 10 kids like what must had happen to have such a huge population,” Celestia said.
“Tell me about it. I looked into it and we really shouldn’t have that many people given all what happen,” Anderson said. (1)
“So how bad are things there?” Celestia asked.
“The judges have lost control and I got out because of what happen that ruined any chance of stopping it. Those who can are fleeing to other worlds and the other cities are blaming us for what happen and offering no help whatsoever as they’re saving as many of their citizens as they can,” Anderson said.
“Well at least there be no longer need to pump tons of resources to keep Earth on life support now. And that the entire judge system won’t work as it did before. Why have so many laws when there isn’t a need for them,” Celestia said.
“Was it all for nothing, was it really a lost cause?” Anderson asked.
“Of course it was, I showed you the comics where everything that happen was just for entertainment and nothing changed for the better as if it did the series would end,” Celestia said.
“Can you drop me off in a world that is more realistic as you call it where all the insane stuff like demons and magic isn’t a thing?” Anderson asked. (2)
“Sure,” Celestia said.
