Dick Grayson known as the hero Nightwing ducks underneath a ruin car as parademons flew pass overhead. It’s been a month since Darksied forces invaded Earth and took it over. The heroes and government forces were all killed or been captured, leaving only survivors and those like him still running free. Most of the ones who were captured are now working as slaves to Darksied.

Nightwing and what’s left of the government forces are now searching for recruits to help fight. Which is why he’s in Canterlot as right before the invasion, there were reports of a magic user running around with the agents there tracking the user down. With all the magic users either depowered or captured, the resistance needed everybody they can throw at the invaders.

The city of Canterlot is like everywhere else is in ruins but is better than most other places he’s been through. The parademons had torn through anyone who tried to stop them and slaughtered anyone else. Now everyone is just trying to survivor as the parademons search for survivors to take back to the factories being built to work or something worse. Canterlot city being a farming community was made into a work farm to feed the invaders in exchange for not slaughtering anymore of them.

Nightwing got to Canterlot high school where the survivors of the city have gathered. Which he learned from notes left in some of the homes he’s been in. The school has been boarded up and made into a shelter, where the survivors have all gathered for some reason. He also noticed that there’s a statue missing in the front but thought nothing of it.

Sneaking inside the school, Nightwing found it empty, room after room were empty. There were signs of people like in the city but all were gone. Inside the cafeteria were signs of people having been eating and all the food being taken. It looks like everyone in the city had decided to escape, not that there’s anyplace but the most remote locations left that is. But the strange thing was that all the rooms had something that’s flammable or explosive inside of them, from gas cans, oil cans, propane cans, even baskets of charcoal. Making the entire building one big firetrap.

The auditorium was where he found them, three adult women all talking to each other who looked alike, which Nightwing guessed are triplets. One is dress in a worn suit that have seen better days, the other is dressed in a fancy white dress, and the other in a bodysuit that’s black and has a hardlight computer screen coming from a waist watch like device. Behind them is a horse statue that has the last few people besides them walking through it. There is also several crates with the words of fireworks on them stacked around the room as well as gas cans. With several around the statue.

“Mom that’s the last of them,” a redhead young teen said who has been watching as the last person in line a purple haired girl holding a small dog had entered the statue.

“Join the others Sunset, That’s it right?” the woman in the suit asked turning to her sisters.

“I’ll check,” the one in the bodysuit said using her device and her eyes darted to where Nightwing is at. “Come on before the next parademons patrol comes.”

“I’m not here for whatever you’re doing,” Nightwing said stepping out into the open.

“It’s Nightwing the one who cause this whole mess to begin with,” Sunset said glaring at him.

“The one who depowered all those with powers?” the sister in the fancy dress asked.

“The same,” the sister in the worn suit said as she grabs and holds Sunset to her protectedly. “His group hunted down anyone with powers and thought of nothing in killing my sister when she tried to protect Sunset.”

“I’m sorry for that but we have bigger problems to deal with now,” Nightwing said as he’s trying to piece together what’s going on here. The statue is being used as a portal and the women before him are the ones who powered it and got all the survivors in the city to escape through it.

“That’s what your lackeys said when the invasion started. Saying we need to band together and fight back, not caring how they just killed my aunt. So when the parademons came again we offered them as tribute so they would spare what’s left of us,” Sunset said.

“It doesn’t matter now, Darksied has captured just about everyone else and I’m searching for people like you with powers to help,” Nightwing said.

“As if I would help you. Right after you will just lock me up saying it’s for the greater good that people like me with powers be locked up. Well look what happen you and your lackeys couldn’t fight off the army of Darksied without people with powers to back you up,” Sunset said.

“I did what I had to do,” Nightwing said.

“And I refuse to help you who cause this to happen. All the heroes you locked up were all helpless when the parademons came for them,” Sunset said. (1)

“You’re no Batman as he wouldn’t had taken down the only ones who could do what you can’t do. Or admit your wrong and all this was caused by you,” the mother said.

“Enough,” the one in the black bodysuit said as her devices began beeping. “We need to go now.”

The four escape into the statue, but not before the one in the black bodysuit threw a flare into a open crate of fireworks. Nightwing ran out of the room as the fireworks went off behind him and caused all the other explosive objects in the room to blow up or cause flames to spread. He barely managed to escape as the building blew up and caught on fire, as all the explosive and flammable materials are caught in the blast.

Leaping out of the burning and exploding school, Nightwing found himself facing off with a patrol of parademons who were alerted by the school blowing up.

“Without the portal, even Darksied won’t be able to figure out where to go,” Celestia said looking at her waist computer. The four stood in the courtyard and the now pony humans are getting use to their new forms.

“So you don’t change?” the now pony princess Celestia asked.

“I traveled to enough worlds where I picked up a thing or two,” the traveler Celestia said.

“So you can turn me back to human?” the former human Celestia asked who is now an alicorn.

“I can or turn you antro,” traveler Celestia said as she turns into a cross between a pony and a human. “I use this form whenever I can. Has the benefits of both forms, I was a pony to begin with but I learn to like having fingers.”

“They won’t be coming after us right?” Sunset asked.

“No as I doubt Darksied cares enough to look into what happen to a small population in a small city. He has better things to care about,” traveler Celestia said.

“And what about Nightwing?” Sunset asked.

“He’s dealing with the parademons and the amount of explosives will reduce the statue to rubble and with the mirror on this side destroyed. No one will be coming from Earth,” traveler Celestia said.

“Will you be staying?” Princess Celestia asked.

“Yes as you’re going to need help with all the new ponies if they choose to remain as ponies,” traveler Celestia said.

1 - Calling for aid to the very people you been hunting down and them agreeing only works in fiction. Especially when the ones who have been on the run don’t have the choice of fight or die and can just escape or do nothing and live.

And there really needs to be a manga or comic where after those with powers were depowered and lock away. That the world was invaded and the ones who depowered and lock up the heroes, have to deal with the invaders alone.
