We soon arrived at what thought was a library, but twilight told me that this is were she lived, we walked in and was awestruck at the number of books that this place held, stacked n shelves,piles,stacks to the ceiling, and I realized that me and twilight were a lot alike, we were obsessed with reading, she led me to a little room in the back with a long hallway and a target at the end, and she had me stand at the entrance to the hallway, facing the target, " OK, now just imagine a lightning bolt striking the target, and let loose".

I pictured in my mind what she asked me to, but couldn't let any lightning go," try harder" twilight says, and I felt a sudden rush of calm come over me, and watched a a fat blue bolt of lightning come out of my horn and leave a scorch mark on the target, I step back, not beleiving fully in what I had done, "good, that is your birth power if you were truly equestrian, and it will come naturally More powerful, but other types of magic is what I'll teach you.", I nod at her,saying that this should be fun.

For my next task she had me sit down and she placed a book in front of," a dictionary?"   " you will try to lift up the book without touching it" says twilight, and I grab a nearby book, and scrape the one in my hooves under the dictionary, lifting it up, twilight laughs and says I was supposed to try with magic, so I put it back down and stared at it, trying as hard as I could to imagine the book up only was able to create a little lightning bolt for all my effort, which struck twilight  and gave here quite a shock, she jumped almost all the way to the roof, and chewed me out for about 5 minutes about watching were my magic goes but apologized when she realized that I was about as inexperienced as i possibly could be, and in the end she ended up sending me off with a couple of books about learningmagic.

I went back to my crater and started reading one of the books, and it was quite interesting explaining some very basicspells, when I flipped the page however, a paper fell out, and when I read it I realized that it was a potion, which the description said that would boost your birth power 700% for several hours, this gave me a idea, and I started gathering ingredients, black mushrooms from rotting trees, water that had been boiled, a special plant that grew underwater, a drop of blood from the equestrian that would use the potion, and a pile of wood ashes, most of this stuff I had to look for but once I had it all together I started preparing it the way that it was supposed to be prepared, and when I added the drop of blood last, and watched as the potion started to glow.

The paper said to drink just a couple ounces, and once I did I couldn't believe the effects, I had a constant stream of ion streamers coming out of my horn, and felt like I could do anything.

I rose up into the air on my wings and headed to twilights to show her that I had actually did something magic related properly, and when I nocked on her door and she saw me, she fainted

When she came back to she asked me why I would possibly do something as make a potion, and I answered that I did it to show her that I could do magic properly, but she didn't want to hear it, I should have told her before I drank it, and I realized this was true, and we flew back to my crater, and it turns out the potion gave me a huge speed boost, which I didn't notice before because I was so happy, when we landed twilight examined what was left of the potion and was relieved that I had made it properly, otherwise the effects could have been permanent. I showed her the paper that had the potion on it, and it turns out it was a potion that twilight invented a while back when she was learning magic and that was why it was in the book, although she was happy to find out that the potion worked, because she had never made it, and she said that she didn't want to find out that I made any more options until I had more experience in magic.

Twilight went home but I still had a couple doses of the potion left so I packed it with my other things and started flying.
