I had a dream that a purple equestrian that yelled everything and flew down from the Moon told me that I was going to have to make a sacrifice soon, but didn't say much more and went back to the moon, and I woke up to pinkie jumping on me, crushing my chest with her weight, but she got off when I woke up and I was glad that I could finally breath, when I heard word ships had been deployed, and I woke up fully.

As we suited up in our armor I told twilight about my dream and when I described the equestrian from my dream she went kinda pail, and told me that who I had seen was Luna, and she had given me a message from the future, and I should take it seriously so I need to look for what she meant in the near future, but most of all she didn't want me to tell the other elements about my dream, so I kept quiet about it as we got ready to go elemental.

We one by one put on our elemental necklaces as we saw the ships near shore, I had to take off my axe to do this, my axe is something that I actually did a little bit of magic on, making it invulnerable to my extreme lightning temperatures and my atomic blasts, and as twilight put on her elemental necklace we began to glow and rise into the air, going elemental.

We went through the same transformation as last time, and prepared to attack as the first ship landed, the moment that the first elkondrian came out the battle started, blood flying in all directions as we attacked, me charging the air around me to about 2000000000 or so volts, sending balls of electric plasma into elkondrian flesh, the plasma exploding as it hit solid matter, ripping apart the elkondrian into piles of burning flesh and bones, we had taken care of the first ship when another ship landed, over twenty times as big as the first one, and with a brainless idea I send a wave of pure plasma into the group of elkondrians as they got out, frying half of them, some actually catching fire from the heat of the plasma, and with this first wave over over ten even bigger ships made landfall.

We had gotten rid of a few ships when I heard a scream and looked over, just in time to see a sight that will forever haunt me, rainbow dash being hit with a gigantic hammer of some sort, with a sickening CRUNCH! When it hit her side, and she crumbled into a ball of white flesh and rainbow colored fiery mane. In the back of my mind a spark lit, and quickly it grew into a inferno, engulfing my mind with a intense anger that was so powerful I couldn't even think as I tore through elkondrians trying to get to dashie, I soon reached her after ripping of the elkondrians head that had hit her , and I crumpled as I saw the massive amount of blood she was losing,  I finally blew my last fuse in my brain and I felt my reactor start up, without conscious thought my horn glowed as I sent every equestrian back to town, but for some reason rainbow Dash's body didn't leave, I don't know why, and I held her closely as I went far beyond atomic.

I don't completely understand what exactly happened or why it happened, also I'm glad it happened like it did, for if it didn't dashie would be dead.

As I went atomic and saw the atoms splitting in my mind I also felt something else, almost another presence, and with a start I saw dashie next to me, back in her nonelemental state, but I could also feel her mind as we floated in whatever weird place I go to when I go atomic, and with a bit of effort I was able to transmit a "are you OK?" Across the void, although all I got back was a feeling of infinite pain eminating from her mind, and a garbled message of no, with this I grabbed her entity as I prepared for landing and held her close, with a crunch we hit land.

As soon as her body was fully formed I teleported us to sugarcube bakeries, hoping to get dashie immediate medical attention, and was almost happy to see all of the other elements there, although they weren't to happy to see me

They had gotten rainbow dash into a bed and applejack was helping her breathe as fluttershy ran to find a doctor, I was in the hall outside the room when something nocked me onto the ground,WHAM, and I look up to see twilight holding a metal rod swinging to strike again, it hit me before I could react, nocking me nearly senseless, I roled out of her way as she swung again, and she demanded to know why I had done this to dashie, I didn't know what she was talking about so she hit me again with the metal rod, either the rod or my brain nocked some sense into me, and I realized what she meant, "Wait,  you think I did this to her, well you're mistaken, if anything I saved her after she was hit by a elkondrian hammer thing, so you can just go fuck off because I don't really care about anything but dashie right now!", I yell at her, but realize very fast I had had a poor choice of words when twilight collapsed to the floor crying her eyes out, " i- I'm sorry, i- didn't mean to blame this on you, bu- but I thought that you're blast was what had hurt her, I'm so sorry, its just that my first instinct was to blame you, after all you did for us, I'm sorry," with this she started sobbing again, which made me feel even worse about saying all that stuff to her, even if it was in a fit of rage.

Fluttershy had returned with nurse redheart, who was currently hooking dashie up to some kind of resperator, and as I left twilight to cry herself out the moment I came out of the back door i was kicked in the side of the face by applejack, sending me flying into the wall, I was in as state of intense confusion because these were supposed to be my freinds, so when applejack and rarity dragged me to the center of the floor I didn't even put up a fight, they started yelling things at me and hitting me with random items from around the room when I hear twilight yell " STOP!" They froze from hitting me and looked up, and twilight rushed over to me and helped me to my hooves, but I quickly had to lay down as I soon found out that applejack buck to my head had disoriented me to a point that I couldn't even stand up without falling, I heard twilight yelling at them that I hadn't injured her that a elkondrian did and this was completely unnecessary and might have severely injured me, twilight came over and checked me out, the kick had broken my lower jaw into two halves and cracked my skull, twilight helped me walk to a empty room so that I didn't have to worry about being attacked by fluttershy while she treated my wounds.

The skull fracture wasn't to bad, but the jaw was a major problem as it would need to be set and held still for atleast a week, I didn't say anything to twilight as she set my jaw because it was to painful to even move my mouth, but my mind was working double time to process what had just happened,before I even realized it twilight had set my jaw and had it bandaged in such a way that it would stay put and as we walked out of the empty room I heard the bad news.

Dashie was going to need a new rib, the one that was injured had almost disintegrated into tiny chunks and there was no hope for fixing it, this makes me remember something that had happened a couple weeks ago, twilight had wanted to do a x-ray on me to see if I was any different internally from any other equestrian, and I had agreed, internally I wasn't to different, besides I had kept some human characteristics like my brain size and terminating avioli in my lungs, but I also had kept the extra rib that male humans have, and this gave me a idea.

"She can have one of mine," I say, or atleast mumble through the bandages on my jaw, and everyone looks at me, besides applejack who adverted her gaze, and twilight asks me if I was sure about this, but I reply that I am and this must be what Luna said about sacrifice, when I say this everyone started asking a million questions at once, and twilight yells at the top of her voice " SHUT UP!", it got silent quickly, twilight just looked over at me and sighed, " well lets get you ready then," and we headed back into the back of the building.

Prep was just me shaving of a patch of hair were the extra rib was going to come out, and with this I laid down onto a bed next to the one dashie was on, and felt sleep hit me like a freight train when they put me out.

I woke up twice during the surgery, one time while they were still working to getting to the bone out and again while they were actually removing it, both times they saw that I was awake and took a little needle full of liquid and injected me with it, soon enough I was back asleep.

The third time I woke up I could see a set of stitches in my side, the cut was about five inches long, and when I looked over I could see that dashie had stitches a little way up from where mine was, and with this I fell back asleep.

When a woke up cagain it was about five hours after the surgery and dashie was still asleep, I got up as quietly as I could, noticing the lack of pain from the surgery, and I went into the main area.

Twilight had fallen asleep on the floor, a book next to her, applejack and fluttershy were playing that game that was kinda like checkers but more complex, and rarity was nowhere to be seen, they didn't notice me when I came in and sat in the equestrian equivalent of a chair, just sitting there thinking until they finished the game and fluttershy looked up, eyes going wide when she saw me, and she told me I was supposed to stay in the back room until tomorrow so I didn't strain myself to soon after giving up a rib, but I just told them I'll be fine. Applejack came over and sat across we from me and said," sorry about bucking ya, but I darn thought you hurt rainbow and was pissed" " don't worry", I say " twilight hit me over the head with a metal rod a couple times before I explained, so you're not the only one who hit me" she was relieved to hear that I wasn't mad or carried any grudges,  but they did ask what all this talk of Luna was about, so I told them about my dream and how itvhad came true, and fluttershy visibly shivered when I was through, but before I could say anything else a wave of tiredness came over me and I fell asleep in the chair.
