Chapter 1: Rumble in the Wasteland

“Yay we’re finally here!” Samantha yelled out as she walks inside with her friend.

“I don’t see why you had to drag me along?” Said Vanessa as she try to fix her hat that kept blocking what she was seeing.

“Oh come on don’t be like that besides this is a lot of fun, and you always complain I never spend any time with you” Samantha said as she make sure she has everything in a bag on her hip.

“Cause most of the stuff you drag me to ends up with me getting hurt, remember the time when you brought me to that kids paintball party?”

“Okay one that was my mum idea I didn’t think it was your kind of fun, and two how was I supposed to know there would be that many kids?” Samantha then crossed her arms and looks at the sky. “Besides once they found out that the paintballs hurt they stop playing after that.”

“They didn’t, they kept on shooting each other until they passed out.” Said Vanessa as she rubs her arm. “At least we stopped them once we found out that was happening."

“They did say for an adult to be with them at all times, not our fault there mums and dads can’t keep an eye on them” Said Samantha as she pays for the both of them to get in. “Besides we’re here to have fun, so can you do this for me please?"

“Fine but if something bad happens here and you get me to be the hero, I’m just gonna ignore it hide out in the bathroom.” Samantha sigh at her friend and then pulls out her formboard staff then smiles at her.

“Don’t worry with my staff by my side nothing can hurt me, if only I could get a Kinsect to go with it. I feel like my costume is missing something without it.” Said Samantha as she looks at a food bar on the way in.

“Ugh I can’t stand that bug in the game, nor do I want to get near it in real life.” Vanessa shuddered at the idea of something that big holding on to someone's arm.

“Hey it was really useful when we took on that boss that one time, you can’t say it wasn’t a big help in the end.” Said Samantha as she looks at a stall selling swords.

“By help you mean that you stood their like an idiot, and had me fight a deviljho all by myself.” Grumbled Vanessa. They both stop when they see what looks like a tall metal skeleton man walk away with a book and some kind of staff.

“Hey where do you think he get that staff from? It looks so real.” Said Samantha as she looks around to see where he got it from. Vanessa who was still looking at the guy walking away and was about to say something when the tall guy disappeared in the crowd.

“What the? Hey did you see that?” She asked only to find Samantha was standing at a stall looking over some stuff. “Never mind.”

Samantha then saw something that made her eyes sparkle. “Vanessa you have to see this!” She calls over to her friend waving her arms at Vanessa.

“What is it this time?” Vanessa asked only to see something orange with green eyes put right in her face. It didn’t take Vanessa long to find out what it was and start freaking out. “It a Mauldrone!, that guy said I can have it for 60 pounds if we buy a three for one deal!”  

“And you want me to help you buy it I take it?” Said Vanessa as her friend was giving her the puppy eyes, she sigh and looks at what else was on offer and saw a Monster Hunter's book. “Huh this could be a interesting read.”

“We still need one more thing.” Said Samantha as she try to look for something else to get. That when the guy behind the stall start talking to them. “Do you need help with something my deer’s?”

“You wouldn’t happen to have a charge blade would you?” The guy looks between them and rubs his chin. “Tell you what I can exchange what your friend there has on her back for better one and throw this in as well."

The guy go under his stall fishing around for something until he pulls up what looks like bowgun. Samantha and Vanessa eyes go wide at seeing it, just how did he hide something so big under there. That was until he folded it up and looks at them. “What do you think?”

“Deal.” Said Samantha handing over her old staff to the guy and getting a new one that looked really real. Then Vanessa pockets the book and takes the bowgun, she was surprised how just how heavy it was.

“Watch out for the Velociprey, they get nasty this time of year.” The guy calls out as Samantha put the Mauldrone on her arm then both girls start walking away.

“.......Okay?” Said Vanessa as she walks a little faster to get away from the strange man. Samantha was smiling and petting her new Mauldrone. “Hey maybe I should name it, what do you think?”

“Name it whatever you want, you know I’m not very good with names.” Said Vanessa as things start to look strange. “Hey question, do you feel a little light head a bit?”

“Well now that you ask yeah I do feel a little dizzy.” Said Samantha as she holds her head.

“Hey…..are you ok-.” The next thing the girl knew was passing out and falling. “D-Dammit.”

Vanessa slowly opened her eyes and try to think what happened. The last thing she remembers was her and Samantha passing out. Before Vanessa could think more on this she hears a buzzing. At first she doesn't move but keep hearing the buzzing sound then as much as she hated to she followed the sound to her friend was as sleeping on the ground next to her.

“Oh really funny Sam, you almost got me-” Vanessa stop what she about to say when her friend rolls over with a very alive big BUG crawling all over her friend and buzzing it wings. Vanessa could only do one thing and that was scream.

“GAH! PANCAKES!” Samantha jumps awake and the bug quickly crawls to her arm and lock itself in place. “WAH!?, I’m Up! Is it a school day or something?” She asked looking around to find her dressing room, only to see she in the middle of nowhere. “Van, where are we?” Samantha asked then saw her friend hiding behind a large rock.

“We’re in the middle of fucking nowhere Sam.” Vanessa growled and pointing at her friend. “And you have a huge monster on your arm KILL IT!” Samantha just stare at her friend before laughing and holding her arm up.

“Oh calm down it not real." The Mauldrone then buzzed it wings, Samantha blinked at this before looking at her arm and seeing it little head turn to her. “Okay… So it is real… Awesome!” Samantha yelled picking the bug off her arm and holding it in her arms. “I’m going to call you Tom!”

“Ok you are taking this really too well.” Said Vanessa as she get on the rock and has a look around.

“Are you kidding me I’ve always wanted to be a real monster hunter and now I can! We’re going to have so much fun isn't that right Tom?” Samantha said as the bug buzzed it wings again and went back to locking itself to her arm.

“Ok one, I doubt we’re monster hunter’s because we’re in the middle of nowhere. Two I’d be more focus on figuring out where we are, and three I’m not getting near that thing on your arm.” Samantha told her friend as she stay on the rock.

“When you put it like that it does sound kind of bad, but if we find some water maybe we can just chill out there until someone find us.” Said Samantha as she looks around not really sure which way to go.

“Oh joy we get to play the waiting game, this is gonna be so much fun.” Vanessa said in a sarcastic tone.

“Maybe not.” Samantha said as she looks at the Mauldrone. “Hey Tom think you can help us find some water?” The Mauldrone let go of Samantha arm and start to fly off in one direction, Samantha run after it and follows. “I think he found something!” She calls back as she runs.

“Hey! Wait up dammit!” Vanessa yells running after her friend little did they know something else was watching them.

Vanessa was bored following the bug unlike her friend who was more than happy following it. Vanessa then reached into her pocket and pulled out the book she got from that guy. Not only that but she was thinking about leaving the bowgun behind but something in the back of her head kept telling her she would need it.

Vanessa then opened the book and started to read a random page. The book was very vague about the monsters, not what she had in mind when she got it. But the artwork on what the monsters were supposed to look like was really good.

“Hey Samantha how long till we reach water, are you sure that thing know where it going?” Vanessa asked. As she looked up and saw something, just what was that.

“Hey Vanessa look, what that up there?” Samantha asked only for the Mauldrone to turn back and go back on her arm. “What wrong Tom?”

“Hey why did your bug friend return?” Vanessa asked walking up next to her.

“I don’t know maybe it has to do with those shadows that are getting bigger coming this way." Samantha said as she pulls her staff out and looks at it. “Do you think there friendly?”

“Something tells me they’re not…...get ready to run in case shit hit’s the fan.” Said Vanessa as she put one hand on Sam shoulder.

“Wait you have a bowgun right? Why not find out if it works, I mean if Tom is real then.” Samantha asked looking at it.

“You and I both know I prefer to use either the switch axe or the charge blade, and besides I doubt this thing will work for me seeing how I’m a blademaster.” Vanessa said handing over the bowgun to Samantha. “You use it.”

“Fine but you have to take Tom” Said Samantha as she about to hand over the Staff and holds out her arm with Tom who buzzed at Vanessa.

“You sure he won’t bite my face off if you hand him over to me?” Asked Vanessa as she hands the bowgun over and take the staff.

“Who him? He’s just a big sweetie.” Said Samantha with a smile and pets him. “Go on he don’t bite, I think?”

“Fine.” Vanessa grabbed the glaive, and extended her arm for Tom to crawl on to. “Ugh it feels weird.”

“Just think of him as a living shield.” Said Samantha as she unfolds the bowgun. “Hey, I don’t think this thing was finished being upgraded yet.”

“Great so it’s at level one then huh?” Asked Vanessa as she try to not throw or pull Tom off her arm.

“Maybe?” Samantha answered as the shadows get closer. “Hey, you got any rounds?”

“Look in your bag Samantha I’m not a gunmaster remember.” Samantha did as Vanessa said and pulled out a clip of rounds for the bowgun, they both look at it as if to ask how it got there. Samantha then try to put the clip into the Bowgun like in the games when they heard a voice call out to them.

“Well, well, well. What do we have here boys?” Both girls blink when they look at the one who said that, and could not believe what they were seeing.

“........Samantha is that a talking pony?”

“.......Yes Vanessa it’s a talking pony, and they don’t look friendly."

“Really now, what gave it away?” Said Vanessa sarcastically. “Was it due to the fact that they look like a bunch of crazy idiots from an apocalyptic world?”

“Well I was going to say it was the fact they wasn’t cute.” Said Samantha as she looks at her Bowgun trying to work out if she can aim it or not.

“.......Really?”

Samantha just blinks at her friend. “What? I mean look at them they have knifes and scars, they also dress up as if they was from that Mad max movie.”

“Hey! Shut up and hoof over the goods, we might even let you freaks go if you do something for us.” Said one of the bandits.

“Boss maybe we can keep one of them and sell the other one as a slave.” That comment made all the ponies laugh.

“Wow…...Talk about being racist huh Vanessa?” Asked Samantha only to see just how angry her friend was getting. Samantha even take a step or two away from her friend just to be on the safe side.

“I’m sorry, but what did you just say?” Growled Vanessa as she unfolds the staff and the blade come out.

“What as long as it not a pony there nothing wrong with having a slave” Said one of the bandits.

“Sir we would sell a pony even if it was a little filly.” Said a bandit with a hat.

“Well, whatever it pays well." Said the Boss. As he pulls out a makeshift axe.

“.........Samantha.” Vanessa said sounding almost calm.

“Yes?” Samantha replied worryingly.

“Kill the others, but the boss is mine.”

“Can’t we just hurt them really badly and leave?” Samantha asked hoping to get out of here without fighting anyone.

“Normally I would suggest that, but something tells me they’ll just come after us when they wake up.” Samantha sigh and take aim at them.

“I understand.” Samantha said and pulled the trigger. The bang was followed by one of the bandits being shot in the hoof having it get shot clean off.

“That bitch shot me!” Screams the downed Bandit.

“Get them!” One of the others yelled and they all run at the two hunter’s.

“Tsh, New York city at night all over again.” Vanessa used her glaive to launch herself into the air, and attack the bandits boss who block the attack.

“Can’t we all just get along!” Screams Samantha as she shooting at the bandits to and missing some of them.

“What are you morons doing!? Stop being pussy’s and get them!” Yelled out the boss who had a horn on his head.

“I be more worried about me instead of the others shit head!” Vanessa said as she push the bandit’s boss back a few steps away from herself.

“Damnit!” Yelled the boss as he swings back with the axe. But what Vanessa could not work out is how he was holding it without touching it.

“How the hell are you even holding that without any hands?” Asked Vanessa.

“What you don’t know about magic?” Said the Bandit Boss who then smiled. “Oh this is going to be fun.” A large rock floats over his head then the rock was sent flying at her.

“Ah crap baskets!” Vanessa did a barrel roll to the left, then launched Tom at him.

“GAH! It on my face! Get it off! Get it off!” The Boss yelled shaking his head trying to get Tom off.

“Samantha how are you doing on your end?”

“I don’t like the flying ones!” Samantha calls out firing her Bowgun in the air at the flying ponies.

“Use a flash bomb on them, just like you did with the fly dragons in the game.” Vanessa suggested. Samantha then pulled a flash bomb and throw it in the air then covered her eyes.

“AAAAAHHHHHH! MY EYES, I CAN’T SEE!” Yell the two flying ponies as the fall to the ground.

“Heh works every time.” Vanessa called back Tom to return to her arm. The bandit Boss was gasping for air as he sit on the floor. “Ha! Face down with female kicking your ass, it’s must be my birthday cause I’m have a blast mopping the floor with you.”

“Van I think we should go before they can see again.” Said Samantha as she keep her bowgun aimed at them.

“You and I both know they chase us if we leave them alive.” Vanessa replied.

“Come on I just want to leave, besides Tom is shaking.” Said Samantha as she looks at Tom.

“Fine, but they come after us after we leave. I’m gonna say I told you so.” Said Vanessa as she turns and start to walk away. Samantha sigh and follows her friend only for them to hear a yell from behind them.

“You’re not getting away!” Yelled the Boss Bandit. Then something large flies past them and he was gone.

“What the hell was that?” Asked Vanessa only for Samantha to point at the large land shark was the only way to describe it, but they know what it was and it name. As the monster shakes it head and swallows the pony in one bite the two humans slowly back away from it.

“It a Cephadrome…” Said Samantha with a look of fear on her face. “What do we do?”

“Simple.” Vanessa focus her attention at the bandit’s vehicle. “Hope you don’t get car sick?”

Samantha was already running to the car with her bowgun on her back. “Hurry up and run!” She calls back in panic.

“Gee thanks for leaving me in the dust asshole!” Vanessa yelled as she tries jumped into the car,  but saw Samantha jump in the back and loaded her bowgun. “Just drive!” The wheels of the car screech as Vanessa drives, Samantha saw the Cephadrome eat another pony before it roared and dives into the sand and swims after them.

“Oh no…” Said Samantha as she take aim.

“I take it that it’s following us?” Asked Vanessa

“Yeah, hey you know that movie tremors?” Samantha asked as she fire her bowgun into the sand. “Well this is a bit like that!”

(Music Starts)

“Yeah but only this involves a giant sand shark, instead of mutated worms.” Vanessa answered as she made a hard right turn pass a huge boulder. The movement some how turns the radio on and they hear music playing.

“Oh that just makes this feel more like the movie.” Complains Samantha as she keeps shooting at it.

“You see this is what I was talking about, this is what I was trying to avoid!” Screams Vanessa as she drives.

“Shut up and drive faster!” Yells Samantha. Tom on the other hand was on the dashboard looking outside as everything flying past.

“Can this get any weirder than this?” Vanessa asked as she notice something was moving under a blanket under the passenger side of the seat. She then removed the blanket to see a small beat up little colt with chains around his hooves and neck. “Well that answers my question.”

“Hey I got charge shots back here!” Yells Samantha as an explosion go off somewhere behind the car. “It still following us!”

“Um we have bigger problems than fish face back there.” Said Vanessa as she try to keep her eyes on the road if there was one.

“Like what is a Deviljho in front of us or something?!” Calls out Samantha.

“We have a underage pony in the passenger side of the car.” Vanessa said pointing to the little colt who was shaking in fear.

“You're worrying about driver safety now of all times! We’re being chased by a Cephadrome that plans on eating us!” Samantha then throws a flash Bomb at it.

“A flash bomb won’t work on it, unless it’s out from under the sand.”

“Well I don’t have a sonic bomb now do I? I’m working with what I got!” Tom go over to the colt and clicks at him before trying to work out how to free him.

“Hold on, hard left!”

“Hard wha-”

Samantha screams as she hanging out of the car by her legs and is still trying to shoot the Cephadrome with her bowgun.

“Man they make it look so easy in the video game, why is he so hard to kill it in real life?” Asked Vanessa. As she looked in the rear mirror and saw Samantha was trying to get back inside, and the Cephadrome was getting a bit too close for her liking.

“Drive faster!” Screams Samantha as she looks in her bag for something.

“I’m going as fast as this stupid thing can go! You got problem with it? Then you drive, otherwise get off my back and keep shooting!” Vanessa yells but then see something she wasn’t going to like, she saw fins in the sand going past them. “That can’t be a good sign.”

Tom was going crazy in the car and goes into the back sets and try to hide under something. “What going on, is it good news?” Asked Samantha as she fire another charge shot at the monster.

“Um don’t freak out or anything, but I think there’s more of them.” After Vanessa said that she heard Samantha scream, as the two humans, Mauldrone and colt were driving through a school of Cephadrome’s.

“Oh you have got to be kidding me?” Asked Samantha as she gives up on shooting the monster that was after them.

“I have an idea, but you’re not gonna like it.” Vanessa made a hard right towards and open gully.

“I’m not liking this, I’m not liking this at all!” Screams Samantha.

“Like I said you’re not gonna like it.” With that she full speed towards it, avoiding the Cephadrome’s that were trying to eat them.

“We’re gonna die!” Screams Samantha.

“I’m too young to die!” Screamed the young colt holding onto Tom. As they drove into the empty gully. Vanessa notices that the Cephadrome’s had stopped, or more like gone around the gully and away from them.  (Music Ends)

“Good they left us for the time being, now we can think of a plan before they reappear on the other end.” Vanessa said as she stopped the car, then remembers the colt that was holding on to Tom. “Oh right.”

Samantha falls out of the back of the car and crawls on the floor, before laying on her back panting. “Never… do that, again.” She said more to herself then to Vanessa.

“Hate to break it to yeah, but unless we can think of a plan then we’re gonna have to do it again.” Said Vanessa as she get out of the car and go to the passenger side then opens the door. “Plus I don’t think the gear I have now, will do any damage towards them.”

“Same here.” Said Samantha as she saw the colt sitting there holding on to Tom for dear life. “Who’s that?”

“Like I said before we have a passenger in the seat, why do you think I said that earlier?” Said Vanessa as she try to carefully lift the colt out.

“Okay, let see if we can get those chains off of him, I’ll look in the glove box.” Said Samantha as she go into the car.

“While you do that I’m gonna have a look outside and see if things are ok.” Asked Vanessa. All she got from Samantha was a wave as she was digging around in the car.

“Meow.” Samantha hit her head and looks around from in side of it then calls out. “Hey did you hear that?” Samantha looks out the window and saw a Felyne looking at her from the other side. “Vanessa…” Samantha calls out staring at the cat.

“Yeah what is it?” Vanessa calls out as she walks over then see the Felyne standing on the car. “Oh…”

“Oh that all you're going to ask is oh? Help me!” Said Samantha who dare not to move.

“Is everypony okay down there?” Called out a voice from above them.

“If by okay you mean not scared to death by a giant sand shark? Then yeah we’re okay.” Said Vanessa as she saw a Pony who was red and had a blue mane and tail. She also had a jacket and a backpack on, the pony then saw the colt and yelled. “What do you think your doing with him!” The pony fly down and lands next to the colt making sure he was alright.

“Whoa we didn’t do anything to the little fella. We found him like this when we were fighting a bunch of bandits that wanted to sell us to become slaves.”  

“Not to mention a school of Cephadrome’s that wanted to eat us.” Added Samantha, as she pointed outside to the Cephadrome’s jumping out of the sand.

“Those things have names?” Asked the pony as she walks up to them, the pony then notices the cat walking on the hood of the car. “What that?”

“Honestly I have no idea, this little fella appeared out of nowhere.” Vanessa answered as she notice the cat breaking the chains of the little colt. “So care to tell me who you are, and where we are random talking pony lady?”

“We’re in the wastelands, nopony come out here seeing as there all the monsters that live here.” She said as she looks around. “Sorry I haven’t given you my name it is Sunny Day and you are?”

“Samantha and this is Tom.” Said Samantha cuddling the Mauldrone in her arms.

“I’m Vanessa.” Said Vanessa as she looks to the now free colt that was given some water by the cat. “Now who are you two?”

The colt looks at everyone before saying his name. “I’m Pip and are you guys going to eat me or something?”

“......Really does it look like we would eat you after what happen earlier?” Said Vanessa folding her arms.

“To be far one of you is wearing the hide of a lagombi.” Everyone turned to the Cat that was playing with it whiskers. “By the way I’m Sir Scatsbarry it nice to meet you all, but we should find somewhere safe to sleep for the night. This way my village is not far from here.”

“......Am I the only one who just notice a talking cat?” Asked Vanessa.

“No.” Everyone else said at the same time, Tom even flew over and locks itself on to Vanessa arm.

“Okay good, for a second there I thought I was going insane.” Everyone followed the Cat calling himself Scatsbarry. They then saw as they went deeper into the gully they find a small village full of cats.

“This feels so weird.” Said Samantha.  

“I been out here in the wasteland for years, and I never even knew this village was here. How can these cats survive out here for this long without getting notice by raiders, ghouls, and monsters?” Said Sunny Day as she was in shock at how clean the village looks like.

“We lived our lives with the monsters, it a part of our lives. It hard work but the other things fear them we fear them to but we live with them as well.” Said the Cat that was leading them.

“So the reason they haven’t found you yet is because the monsters eat them all before they can get here?” Asked Vanessa. The cat smiles at them after she said that. “Something tells me not to fuck around with these little bastards.”

“That and if there’s anything like the game they will try and take our stuff.” Whispered Samantha to her friend.

“Great so don’t fuck with them, and don’t let them steal your crap.” Vanessa whispered back.

“Come this way we have much to talk about and food to eat.” Said Scatsbarry as he goes into a cave in to the side of the large gully. Once inside they see hundreds of Felyne, some even wear armour and some looked like cooks and waiters. There was even a hunter bored on the cave wall in the large hall.    

“This is so cool!” Yells Samantha as she runs off inside.

“Okay I have to give you guy’s credit for surviving this long out in the wasteland, but I still don’t understand. How you guys could’ve survive this long without getting any kind of radiation from the aftermath mega spells?” Said Sunny Day.

One Felyne close to them on a table calls out after hearing that. “We’re Hunters!” Then all the Felyne call out. “MEOW!”

“But…...I don’t.” Stumbles Sunny trying to work out how that make any sense.

“Don’t question it Sunny.” Said Vanessa. “Let just eat, drink and forget today even happened. I wonder what Aptonoth taste like?”

“Ugh fair enough, still have some more questions though.” Said Sunny as she saw one can with a large plate on it head with some kind of large cooked animal.

“Van they’re playing my song!” Cheers out Samantha as she sit with a group of Felyne and start eating with them.

“Oh god not this song.” Vanessa complains.

“Why what wrong with it?” Asked Pip as he stay close to Sunny.

“That Damn cooking song they always play whenever they cook. It was bad enough when they did it, but it gotten to be annoying when Samantha started to sing it.”

The ponies looked confused at the human girl until her friend stands on a table and started singing. Not only that but the Felyne were joining in.

“Ugh.” Groans Vanessa as she grabs a mug off a table and start to drink it. “Someday this turned out to be.”

Chapter 2: Deviljho on a rampage

(The Next Day)

        After some rest, relaxation, and stocking/upgrade their gear up. Our traveling hunters make their to the nearest town in the wasteland, with the company of Sunny Day as their guide of the wasteland.

“You sure it was a good idea to leave the earth pony with the cats?” Asked Samantha, who was keeping an eye out for any of the Cephadrome’s from yesterday.

“Well we couldn’t bring him along with us right? I mean after what he told us yesterday, I’m pretty sure keeping him there is much safer than bringing Pip with us.” Vanessa respond as she turn left past a broken up vehicle.

“True, but why didn’t Sunny stay behind as well?” Asked Samantha.

“Because I’m the only pony that knows the wasteland from the back of my hoof, plus I’m not the kind of pony that’s good with little foals.” Sunny said as she looks through Vanessa’s monster hunter book. “Besides he seem okay with staying with them. So who are we to deny the kids request.”

“I guess you’re right. So where are we going anyway?”

“We’re heading to New Appaloosa, I know a few scientist’s there that might take interest in the gear you have. Not to mention this book on all these new monsters in the wasteland we never heard of.”

“As long as they don’t try to do that alien probing thing, then I don’t have a problem with them asking us questions and stuff.” Said Vanessa as she made a right turn past a dead animal. “So from what you told us last night.This place was originally called Equestria, but due to a war that took place 200 years ago Equestria is now called the wastelands?”

“That’s the short version of it. Personally I don’t really care so much about it, what happens in the past stays in the past. Though it would be nice for everything to go back to normal, then to live in a hell hole like this.” Sunny said as she pointed a hoof at the environment around them.

        A few hours have past and so far no sight of any school’s of Cephadrome’s or any other monsters. Just then black smoke started to appear from under the hood of the vehicle they were driving in. “Oh come on! You can’t be serious!?” Yelled Vanessa as she pulled the car over to the side.

“What’s up?” Asked Samantha.

        Tom latched onto Vanessa’s arm as she hopped out of the car, and popped the hood of the car up to see the problem. As she did a puff of smoke burst out of the engine. Hitting her in the face causing her to cough upon impact. Vanessa backed away from the car, trying to clean her lungs of the smoke. “Bad news ladies, our car is out of commission.”

“Damn just our luck.” Said Sunny as she bucks the tire of the car. “Looks like we’re gonna have to hoof it then.”

“That or see if we can find another raiders car, and steal it.” Vanessa suggested.

“And where are we gonna find one in the middle of no where? In case you haven’t notice, not that many ponies come around here besides slavers.”

“Well it’s better than nothing, anyway let’s just head over to that town over their with that huge ass tree sticking out of it.”

“You mean Ponyville?” Said Sunny. The two humans then look at Sunny and rise an eyebrow.

“Pony what?” Asked Samantha.

“Ponyville. It used to be a place where ponies used to live along with the elements of harmony.”

“........This place is weird as hell.”

“It’s the wasteland Vanessa, you should’ve expected something like this after fighting those pony raiders.” Said Samantha as she began to walk towards the town. “Let’s see if we can find some parts to fix our car, or see if we can steal from any more raiders in town.”

“Might as well, but keep on your toes Samantha. After what happen yesterday, we shouldn’t be so careless about our surroundings.” Said Vanessa. She then pulled out a handgun from her backpack, and handed it to Sunny. “Here Sunny. You might need this more than I do.”

“W-Where did you get this from?” Sunny asked taken abrupt by the weapon.

“From the glove compartment in the car. I’m not that comfortable with guns, plus it will protect you and not be the damsel in distress.”

“Fair enough I guess.” Sunny grabbed the gun with her hoof and placed it into her saddle pack. “Thanks, it’s a good thing I’m good with a firearm then with a knife.” She said as she walks off to catch up with Samantha along with Vanessa.

(Ponyville)

        The trio made their way to what remains of the once beautiful town of Ponyville. Houses were either burned to the ground, badly damaged, or wrecked. What got to the humans the most were the somewhat remains of dead ponies. Some of them were either bones, or some were decaying and had flesh that were being eaten by maggots. Samantha’s face turned green as she turn away from the sight, and threw up next to a house. Vanessa on the other hand was not affected by the sight of it.

“Wow this place is like a graveyard.” Said Vanessa walking over the remains of dead ponies. “And here I thought humans were destructive, but you ponies pretty much take the cake.”

“I take your world is a lot like ours?” Asked Sunny walking up to Vanessa.

“Somewhat.Though give the humans a few more years and we might end up like this.”

“You seem to be taking this really too well Vanessa. Most ponies would be freaking out by this, just like most stable ponies.”

“Stable ponies? What the hell are those?”

“Stable ponies are those who survive mega spell bombs by going underground. Inside the stable it is an underground facility that can hold up to 2 or 3,000 ponies. It’s kinda like a place where they can preserve those that are suited for the future when the war was over.”

“Yeah a lot a good that did them huh? Also to answer your question Sunny. I was born in military type family, and my dad would teach me and my brothers how to fight and cope with stuff like this. Unlike my two brothers I was more adaptable to the training and more acceptable to gore and stuff.”

“Oh the boys back in New Appaloosa are so gonna piss themselves when they found out I’m friends with you two.”

“Can we just go and search for parts needed for our car please?” Asked Samantha. “I prefer not to stay here any longer.”

“Alright. You and Sunny Day search the houses on the left side, I’ll go search on the right side.” Vanessa said as she started to walk off. “If you see a raider or somepony in trouble, give me a call on my cellphone Samantha.”

“Roger that boss lady.” Samantha said giving her friend a small salute before walking off.

“Idiot.”  Vanessa thought as she walked off.

(Right side of town)

        A few hours of searching every house that wasn't about to fall on Vanessa, and so far she found a tool kit, five medical kits, a full box of both handgun & shotgun shells, and a few packs of dry food. "Well it's not much, but hey it's better than nothing like dad always says." Vanessa said as she pulled out her cellphone to call Samantha, but stopped due to seeing a light grey color unicorn with a light brown color mane wearing a navy blue shirt; sneaking up on her with what looks like to be a handgun with a scope on top of it.

“Well, that’s interesting.” Said Vanessa at this as she carefully put her phone away. Then looked down at Tom who looked right back at her as if knowing what she was about to do. Tom unlatched himself from off of Vanessa’s arm and crawled onto the roof of the house they came out of.

“Judging by the way she looks, I take it she’s one of those stable ponies Sunny was talking about. Better not kill her unless she’s a raider in disguise.”  Vanessa thought as she slowly turned around to see her attacker. “So care to explain why you’re pointing a gun at someone like me?”

The pony blinked at Vanessa in shock it almost looked like her brain stopped or something. The pony then shook her head and puts the gun at Vanessa. “Don’t move!” She said as she looked around the room. “Is there anypony else here?”

“They’re not with me at the moment, they’re on the left side of town looking for some parts for our vehicle. Why you ask?” The pony gave Vanessa a strange look as if trying to work out if she was lying or not.

“You have a car, but you're looking for parts?” She asked keeping her gun pointed at the human.

“Yeah stealing a raiders car is not best choice, they suck when it come to keeping their vehicles up to date.” Said Vanessa with a smile how ever the pony did not look happy.

“Just my luck, the only way for me to leave this horrible place and it turns out to be a broken down car.” The pony sighed but kept her eyes on Vanessa. “You said you stole that car from raiders, how did you get it?”

“Long story short don’t ever piss me off…..ever. That and always keep an eye out for monsters popping out of nowhere.” Vanessa said as she notice Tom was in position. “So care to low that weapon of yours?”

“Why should I?” Said the pony still pointing the gun at the human.

“Because in about a few second I’m gonna disarm you of your weapon if you don’t low your gun.” The pony just smiled and cocks the hammer of her gun. “Try me!” Said the pony. Just as she said that Vanessa snapped her finger and Tom jumped off the roof, and latched itself onto the ponies face.

As soon as Tom jumped on the pony mare’s face she started to screaming and runs around yelling. “It's a bug! Get it off of me! it’ll eat my brain!” In the mare panic she dropped her gun. 

“He’s not gonna eat your brain.” Said Vanessa ordering Tom to move out of the way. “Now then.” Vanessa rushed towards the pony and grab her by the waist.

“Let go of me you monster! I won’t let you eat me!” The pony yelled and was kicking it hooves out trying to get away.

“Please I don’t eat sentient beings like you, but I’m not afraid to knock some sense into one like you.” Vanessa lifted the pony up and suplex her onto the ground causing the mare to have the wind knocked out of her. “Told you I would disarm you in about a few seconds.”

The pony just groans as she lay on the floor. Vanessa just rolls her eyes and looks at Tom who was now one her shoulder looking at her. “Oh come on I know a suplex like that wouldn’t keep you down, then again I never done it on a pony before so that might be different.”

Samantha jumps in through the window followed by Sunny Day as a hail of gunfire was hot on their heels. “Van the phones don’t work out here!” Screamed Samantha as she loads her bowgun and fire out the window.  

“Did you remember to turn it on, or did you forget to add minutes to it again?” Asked Vanessa as she grabbed to somewhat knocked out stable pony and ducked for cover.

Samantha put her back to the wall before sliding her phone on the floor to Vanessa. Once Vanessa picks it up it just kept flashing ‘no signal’.  

“Great so our phones are useless here then huh?” Said Vanessa. As a bullet buzzed past her head.

“If we can get out of here I’m sure I can find somepony who can make them work for you.” Said Sunny as she shoots at a raider who was to close to the window.

“Gonna be hard seeing how you brought the party here.” Vanessa then focus her attention at the stable pony she had in her arms. “Hey pony girl you up yet?”

“I have a name you know.” She growls and used her magic to pull the gun over and rubs her head. “It’s Littlepip.”

Vanessa just blinks at her. “Really no kidding? We just met a little colt who was named Pip a day ago.”

“Girls there a gunfight going on, help us!” Samantha yelled pulling up some Pellet shots and fire out the window. The sound of Raider’s in pain was her reward.

“Right, right.” Vanessa said as she jumped out the window, and charge at the raiders. Only to hear a loud crunch from behind her and looks up at the roof of the house they were all hiding in. A large set of jaws was slowly chewing up the roof of the house before it stopped and two small red eyes on top of it head looked down at her and the raiders. “Oh you have got to be fucking kidding me!?”

It was a Deviljho. The Deviljho then spat out the roof it was eating and roared at all of them. Vanessa saw her friends and Littlepip run out of the door of the house. Leaving her and the raiders alone with the large monster with nothing but big teeth to make up it lower jaw.

“WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING!?” Yelled one of the raiders.

“Just RUN!” Shouted out Vanessa as she ran past the raiders. And to her luck or bad luck they followed her, so did the Deviljho. “Don’t follow me you assholes! Go somewhere else!”

“Fuck you I can fly!” Yelled a pony with wings who flew up into the air and was chopped out of the sky with one bite. The other raiders panicked, some try to fight the monster only for the Deviljho to snatch them up once they stopped running.

“Man raiders are dumb as hell.” Said Vanessa as she hid behind inside a house watched the raiders run past and getting killed. It looked like the Deviljho has done this before by the way it was just following the large group of ponies.

“Okay I just need to stay under the radar, and not run around like a jackass saying-.”

“It coming! it so big we can’t take it!.” Screamed a raider as he ran around the corner into the alley Vanessa was hiding in.

“I was gonna say come and get me Deviljho, but that works to.” Said Vanessa as she start running down the alley. She then heard one raiders start laughing. “Ha there no way it can fit down this alley we’re saved!” Only for the Deviljho run through the houses as if they wasn’t there holding it mouth open in the alley way going after them.

“WELL LOOK WHO’S WRONG!?” Yelled Vanessa jumping on top of a house that wasn’t wrecked by Deviljho. Vanessa heard the screams of fear from the raiders as the Deviljho slowed to a stop with it tail sticking up in the air. Before she heard a sickening crunch, the Deviljho then lifted its head up chewing up the bodies in it mouth as blood run down it jaws.

“Crap it spotted me.” Said Vanessa as she jumps from rooftop to rooftop to avoid to avoid the oncoming Deviljho. But the roof on one house gives way and she falls in. “Ow, damn you home depot flooring!”

Vanessa then heard the Deviljho steps as it sounded like it was slowly walking through the houses. Vanessa could run out of the house but that sounded like a bad idea with the Deviljho being so close by. So she quickly turned a table over and lined it up so it would hide her in case the Deviljho tried to look inside.

“Man Winnie the Pooh doesn’t have to deal with this kind of bullshit. So why do I have to deal with this?”

The sound of the foot steps was getting louder as it was getting closer. Vanessa could see dust falling from the roof and nicknacks shack from just the monster steps. It was getting so bad she couldn’t tell which way the Deviljho was coming from.  

“Just keep it together Vanessa everything will be just fine. You're not going to be Deviljho's lunch after everything that happened today.” 

Then it stopped, it was deadly quiet. Vanessa didn’t dare move even if she thought the monster was gone. She then felt warm air blowing in to the house, at first she didn’t understand what was going on until the Deviljho slowly pushed its head through the roof and was sniffing.

“Oh god I am so dead, don’t look this way. Please don’t look this way.”

Vanessa could see the power muscles that were moving it head from over her. The smell of blood was in the air as the Deviljho moving it head from side to side sniffing the floor of the house. The Deviljho gave out a growl as drool was starting to hit the dusty floor as if it was still hungry.

“Please go away, please go away, please go away!” She thought as she was now dreng in her own sweat.

The Deviljho had one last sniff before pulling it head out of the room and start to slowly walk off. Vanessa could hear it foot steps getting quieter and quieter and sigh in relief.

“Oh thank god that bastard left.” Vanessa slowly collapse to the ground. “Taking on a Deviljho alone with low gear solo, is like giving a monkey a shotgun. I wouldn’t turn out so well.”

That’s when Vanessa phone started to ring. She sighed seeing it was working, then panicked seeing that her phone was ringing! The sound of the Deviljho feet steps stopped.  

“Oh no.”

The Deviljho foot steps were getting louder again and coming more faster this time, it was coming back.

“Dammit! Of all the time for this stupid phone to work, now it picks the time to work!?” Vanessa yelled as she ran out of the house and bolted towards the open street of Ponyville.

The Deviljho came flying through some houses and roared once it see her. It was going at a slow pace as if seeing no need to run Vanessa down. The Deviljho knew something, her size could not outrun it. That was only made more clear by the way it was growling.  

“SAMANTHA! SUNNY! LITTLEPIP! HELP!”

That when a car drives down the street and right next to Vanessa with Samantha holding her and out to her friend. “Get in!.” The Deviljho behind them roared seeing the car and started to pick up it pace.

“Can’t losing steam.” Vanessa responded only for Little pip to use her horn to levitate her into the car. “Um thanks.” The Deviljho that was chasing them roared again as it was ruining to keep up with the car.

“What do we do now?” Asked Sunny Day who made a hard right turn past sugarcube corner.

“Flash bomb. Sunny don’t look back!” Said Samantha. The Deviljho smashed it way through a house again and opened it jaws as it was getting closer. Little Pip saw Vanessa phone and throws it into the Deviljho mouth, it jaws snap shut before swallowing it and opens it jaws again feeling nothing go down it throat.

“What the hell man!? I had two more payments left on that!” Yelled Vanessa.

“Why didn’t it do anything? That was some kind of grenade right!?” Asked Little Pip.

“That wasn’t a grenade you dumbass, that was a phone! You know a way to communicate with someone!?”

Samantha picked this time to throw the flash bomb into the air. The powerful flash of light stop the Deviljho as it roars in pain.

“Hold on everypony, hard left!” Said Sunny Day as she made a hard left turn past the Golden Oak Library, and head straight towards the exit of Ponyville.

“What about our stuff that we left in the car that broke down?” Asked Vanessa.

“Before we came and get you, we made a little pit stop and got our stuff so we wouldn’t forget it later on.” Samantha answered as she saw the Deviljho charging at them again. “Oh come on! Why won’t you just stay down!?”

The Deviljho then trips over a broken car and falls on it belly.

“HA! That’s what you get for trying to eat me fuckhead!” Yelled Vanessa flipping the bird at the monster. The got back up again and roared but looked a bit wobbly as it walked. “It must still be blind from the flash bomb.”

“That or it kept on hitting its head onto the walls it kept charging through.” Said Sunny as they make their way out of Ponyville and onto the road of the wasteland. “So, who the new mare?.”

“Her name is Littlepip.” Vanessa answered. “Met her when she was trying to mug me.”

“How well did that work out for her?” Asked Sam.

“I had Tom jump on her face, and then I suplex her onto the ground.” Samantha laughed as Sunny Day just smiled as she drives the car.

“Who are you creatures, and why are you with that pony?” Asked Littlepip. “Are you slavers or something?”

“Ha yeah right and I’m the mare on the moon.” Said Sunny Day.

“To answer your question Littlepip. My name is Vanessa Roberts and these our my friends Samantha Mayfield and Sunny Day.”

“Hi.” Sam said as she was working on her bowgun.

“Hello.” Said Sunny waving a hoof.

“And to who we are……well I don’t know, but we’ll figure it out later on.” Said Vanessa as she relaxed in the back seat.

“Van we’re monster hunters remember?”

“Fine we’re monster hunters, but I still don’t like that title. So care to tell me why you had me at gunpoint back in Ponyville?” Littlepip didn’t look comfortable talking about that. “Oh come on it’s the least you could do seeing how I didn’t kill you and all.”

“Oh fine…but it’ll take a while for me to explain.”

“We’re driving on the road to New Appaloosa, we have all the time in the world.”

(One long explanation later.)

“And that’s how I got here, and why I tried to mug you.” Said Littlepip.

“So you decided to leave the stable to find your friend Velvet Remedy, and to ask why she left?” Asked Vanessa.

“That was such a sad story.” Samantha said as tears run down her face. “Littlepip!” Samantha then hugs the pony and cries.

“Samantha stop hugging her like that, I mean really you always get like this whenever someone tells you a sad story like that.” Vanessa pulled her friend off of Littlepip. “Ok Littlepip after we make it to New Appaloosa we’ll help you find your friend Velvet Remedy.”

“Really just like that? no pay or anything?!” Asked Littlepip.

“Why not plus if I was in your…..hooves I would pretty much do the same thing you’re doing.”

“Not to mention that Samantha would nag us to death if we didn’t help.” Said Sunny. “So new plan, stop by New Appaloosa and help Littlepip find her friend.”

“Okay then, so how long before we reach the place?” Asked Samantha.

“A week if we make good time maybe two.”

“As long as we don’t run into any monsters or raiders that is.” Said Vanessa.

“Yeah, I was adding running into them on the way to that time frame.”

“Whatever let’s just hope nothing else happens to us on the way there.” Just as she said that a bullet ricochet off her hat. “........Please tell me it’s not the raiders from Ponyville?”

“Good news it not them it someone else.” Said Samantha.

“Then who is it?” Asked Vanessa as she pulls herself up. “Seriously what the hell, does this wasteland have against us?” Vanessa then see an armored car drive up next to them with a pony in armor on the top of it waving at them to pull over.

“I think he’s asking us to pull over?” Said Samantha.

“Oh yeah and why should we.” Asked Vanessa.

“He has a rocket launcher.” Replies Sunny day.

“......Fuck…..fine pull the car over Sunny Day, lord knows we don’t want to die too soon.” With that Sunny pulled the car over towards an open clearing that the armor car told them to go. “So care to inform us just who are these jerks are Sunny?”

“There the Steel Rangers. There one of the few groups who have the firepower to come all the way out here without dying.” Said Sunny Day as she keep an eye on the armored car.

“So what the hell are they doing out here in the middle of fucking nowhere?”

“Some say they’re trying to clean up the ‘monster problem’, if you ask me they just make the monsters work for there food is all.”

“Great so we got a bunch of ponies that profit off of the monsters they were suppose to get rid of.”

“If they make it back...” Said Sunny with a frown.

“I take it they’re gonna kill us if they see us as a threat then?”

“Depends on what their orders are and what they're hunting. They may just let us go if we don’t know anything or if we do.”

“Then they’ll kill?” That when a group of armor ponies walk out of the armored car. They aim their guns at the the car, however one pony walks out without armor and walks up to there car.

“Um, greetings random pony dude. What seems to be the problem here?” Said Vanessa trying to act innocent.

The pony looks at Vanessa then at Samantha, the pony slowly walks around the car looking it up and down. Before getting to the drivers side where Sunny is. “Like to tell me why you have two… Mutant Apes in a raiders car that you are driving?”

“HEY! We’re humans not apes pal!”

The armored ponies cock their guns and aim at the car. Sunny Day look at Vanessa and glare at her. “Shut up.” The pony at the window didn’t even look like he heard what Vanessa said. “We… stole it.”

The pony looks at Sunny for a long time before he said this. “So you stole this car from raiders, like to tell me how you did that all the way out here… just the four of you?”

“We took it while they were getting eaten by a Deviljho.” Said Samantha. The pony looked confused at her not understanding the name. “She means a big monster, it had all these teeth on the bottom of it jaw.” Said Sunny.

The pony slowly smiled at them. “Do you know how long it took us to try and track down those raiders? Five weeks and now you’re tell me they’re all dead?” He asked looking at Littlepip.

“Pretty much yeah, if you wanna go and check it out yourself, but you might want to be careful though. That monster might still be there if you do go back to Ponyville.”

His eyes widen when he heard the name of the town. “That thing still alive? After all the magic bombing we sent last week? Nothing should be left alive for it to eat.” He asked looking at all of them.

“Well it’s still alive and right now I think it’s blind after hitting it with a few flash bombs.”

The pony looks at them and just shake it head. “Yeah right like flash bombs can hurt it.” The pony walks away from them and orders for everypony to get back inside the armored car. Once inside it start to turn around and drive back the way it came.

“Well…...That could of gone better don’t you think?” Said Littlepip.

“That, was the best we could of hoped for. We’re just lucky that they didn’t ask you two more about those flash bombs, or things could have turned bad.” Said Sunny Day as she start the car.

“Let’s just go before they turn around and come after us.” Samantha suggested. “Because I doubt we could do any damage to them with only rank two weapons.”

“Agreed. Move over Sunny I’m driving this time.” Said Vanessa. Sunny move to the back as Samantha gets out then back into the car.

“So we just keep going until we see a sign that says New Appaloosa?” Sunny laughs at that before laying in the back set. “Something like that.”

“Ugh its Las Vegas all over again.”

“You mean Las Pegasus?”

“.......I get the feeling that your world’s state names are similar to ours, only with a lot of pony puns in them.”

“That’s kind of funny seeing as I’m from the UK.” Said Samantha with a smile.

“And I’m from U.S.A, but you don’t see me making puns like this. What’s next they have Manhattan here as well?”

“You mean Manehattan right?” Asked Sunny with a smile getting a kick out of this.

“Oh I got one. Do you have Buckem Palace?” Asked Samantha and Sunny Day just nods at her.

“Ugh this place is gonna be the death of me. I just know it.” Vanessa said as she started to drive off at top speed. “Anyway the only time when we’ll stop is for either a pee break, or to see if the next town have any supplies we could take and use for ourselves okay?”

“Okay, but can we try and tame a monster? I’ve always wanted to try that.” Said Samantha with a smile.

“And have those Steel Rangers blast us? I think not.”

“Oh come on it’ll be fun we can call it Pinkie!”

“Okay if we are gonna tame one we’re not gonna call it after one of the former leader of the ministries.” Said Sunny Day.

“Yeah if anything we don’t want ponies to think we’re in league with any of them.” Said Vanessa. “I think Atlas is a better name for a tamed monster don’t you think?”

“Oh Batman.” Said Samantha with a smile.

“No, no that Bat stallion.” After hearing Littlepip say that Samantha just lost it and started laughing. “What?”

“Butt Stallion!” Said Samantha as she laughs in the back.

“We are not naming him that…ever.” Said Vanessa, but stop once she realized she was joining in. “Dammit now you got me doing it!”

Chapter 3: Kill the slavers then rescue the slaves

        One week has past since the incident in Ponyville and our wandering travelers make their way to New Appaloosa. So far they haven’t seen any ponies from the Steel Rangers. The only thing that the group encounter were pretty much just a small group of raiders along with a bunch of Jaggis, but so far everything seem to be going as planned….or so you think.

“Man this would be nice drive to New Appaloosa, if it wasn’t for the fact that the environment was….well dead and lifeless.” Said Vanessa.

“Well unfortunately this is how it is. Unless you have some kind of spell that can bring life back to this Celestia forsaken earth, then good luck with that.” Said Sunny Day flipping through Vanessa monster hunter book.

“Hey you never know.” Said Samantha while feeding tom.  “I mean this is the wastelands after all. There bound to be something that can do that right?”

“Maybe, but for the time being let’s just focus on the task at hand. So Sunny Day what were you out here in the wasteland?” Asked Vanessa.

“Studying the new monsters that have been popping up recently. I don’t know if I told you guys this, but I’m a scientist in New Appaloosa’s science & medical department.” Sunny answered as she put the book away. “The boys back home sent me out here to gather information on the new monsters in the wasteland, and return with as much info as I can.”

“How did that go out for yeah?”

“Not so well when you’re stuck in a gully for the past two weeks. Surrounded by a school of sand sharks.”

“Well it a good thing we came along then huh?” Said Samantha “You would’ve been eaten up by the Cephadrome’s just like those raiders did.”

“That or I would’ve died of starvation.”

Vanessa bit her lip at that, if things went differently that could of happened to both her and her friend. Maybe even have to eat Tom just to stay alive, She shuddered at the ides of being forced to eat a bug. Vanessa was brought back to reality when fire started to appear from under the hood of the car.

“Not again.” Said Sunny Day as she stop the car.

“Man this is the third car that broke down this week.” Said Vanessa getting out of the car.

“Maybe we’re pushing the cars to much, I mean the thing got to overheat all the way out here.” Said Littlepip as she cleans her gun.

“They’re raiders cars.” Said Sunny as she hopped out of the car. “They rarely keep their cars up to date.” She then moved to the back and pulled out a sniper rifle.

Tom crawled out of the car and went on to the roof as a look out keeping it eyes out for anything.

“Well we might as go on foot. Grab your gear and lets go before somepony gets us.” Said Vanessa.

“Aww I was going to make bullets out of the Jaggis claws and teeth we got.” Said Samantha as she pulls up a bag full of Jaggi claws and teeth.

“Will make them later Samantha. Just grab your stuff and lets go.”

“I still find it gross how you two wanted to cut up those things for weapons and armor.” Said littlepip. As she pulls her bag out of the car to.

“Hey we’re in the wasteland. You pretty much need whatever you can take in order to survive out here.” Said Sunny Day.

“Besides the meat wasn’t that bad.” Said Vanessa. As she took a bite out of some leftover Jaggis meat they cooked just a day ago.

“Yeah and you didn’t mind eating it either Little-.” Samantha was unable to finish as they heard a gunshot sound in the air. Tom buzzed it wings loudly and flew over to Vanessa arm and locks on to it. “That can’t be good.”

“The sound came over that hill over there.” Said Sunny Day pointing at the hill. “Let’s check it out.”

“This is a bad idea.” Calls out Littlepip.

“Maybe, but it could be a bunch of raiders and we could take another car from them.”

“Why do I feel like that the only plan we have to move around the wastelands.” Deadpans Littlepip as she follows them. As the group made it to the hill they saw a group of ponies wearing similar clothing as the raiders, but was more well kept and had armor.

“Slavers.” Growled Sunny Day.

“How can you tell?” Asked Samantha.

“Better armor, there cars and trucks are well kepted. Not only that but look how they patrol around the ponies with the collars on their necks. Yeah these guys are Slavers alright.”

“ALL RIGHT YOU PIECE OF SHIT!” Yelled one of the slavers. “GET YOUR WORTHLESS FLANKS ONTO THE TRAIN! YOUR NEW LIVES AS SLAVES START WHEN YOU REACH OLD APPALOOSA!”

“Think that train will take us to New Appaloosa?” Asked Vanessa.

“I don’t think so. Look how many there are of them.” Said Littlepip.

“Hm…..Sunny Day, Samantha. Stay here and be our cover fire if any of the slavers sneak up on me or Littlepip.” She said then focus her attention towards Littlepip. “Littlepip you’re coming with me. It’s time for a prison break.”

“Okay, but just to let you know I only have two chag rounds left. Not only that I don’t have many rounds left ever.” Said Samantha. As she looks in her bag worryingly.  

“You still got blast rounds right? Use that.”

“Yeah I only have twenty of them left and I was saving them for a big monster.”  

“Then make them count.” Vanessa then grabbed Littlepip and sneaked off towards the train.

“Don’t I get a say in this!?” Said Littlepip as she was dragged away.

“Nope, but think of this as a ‘we’re even’ after what you tried to do to me last week.”

“I said I was sorry!”

“Sorry won’t cut it with me. Now be quiet and get that gun of yours ready.”

(Train)

“How did this happen!?” Screamed Samantha as she fire a round down the train car at the slavers who were trying to kill them.

“I think it was because of that cell phone thing of yours.” Said Sunny as she shot a slaver in the head.

“What I want to know is who could be trying to call you? Your phone didn’t even get a signal before.” Said Vanessa. As she pushed a slaver out of the train car window and heard the pony slaver screams as he fell to his death.  

“Does it really matter!?” Asked Littlepip. As she fired little macintosh as another slaver who was trying to get into the train cart they were in.

“Who even driving the train?” Asked Samantha as she smacks her bowgun into a slaver pony head.

“I think it was one of the slave ponies that made a run for the train when the fighting started.” Said Sunny as she reloads her gun.

“Tch figures.” Vanessa said. Throwing a knife at a slaver from a distance and it just hit the floor by their hooves. “Dammit this would be much easier if I had a long sword.” Just as she said that. A flash of light engulfed for a few seconds before dying. Vanessa open her eye to see that her glaive was replaced with a long sword. “Holy crap it’s my longsword Yuki Ichimonji!”

“How did you do that?” Asked Samantha in awe. “But won’t it be too long to use in this train car?”

Vanessa only smiled to her friends question. “Get down, all of you.” Samantha did just that dragging both ponies with her. “Hope this move works.” She said as she placed a hand on her long sword, and closed her eyes.

“What are you idiots doing!? Get that freak and kill it!” Yelled one of the Slavers as they all rushed towards the human. Vanessa opened her eyes as she drew her sword out. Cutting the ponies that were about to attack her into either in half or decapitation their heads.

“And that is one way on how you use a longsword in a closed spaced environment.”

“Was that all of them?” Asked Littlepip.

“I doubt it.” Said Sunny Day handing Samantha one of the slavers rifle but refuse.

“No thanks I’m good.” Said Sam. As she looting the bodies taking food and water canteens off them.

“Switch to your bow Samantha. Seeing how you’re running low on ammo.” Samantha looks at her bowgun then closes her eye and then her bowgun turns into a bow.

“This is so COOL!” She yells.

“Ok so we split up into two. You and Samantha free the slaves from here to the end of the train. While me and Littlepip deal with the ones here and up. Got it?”

“Yes sir captain bossie boots sir.” Said Samantha and runs off with Sunny Day.

“I hate it when she talks like that.” Said Vanessa. “Welp let’s get going Littlepip.”

        While Samantha and Sunny Day took care of the slavers on their end. Vanessa and Littlepip venture towards the engine room as planned. Train cart after train cart Vanessa and Littlepip pushed their way through them. Killing off any slavers and/or raiders that blocked their path. A few hours of killing and freeing any slaves and the duo entered the next room close to the engine room, but before they could leave they were tooken by surprise by what they saw.

“Littlepip are you seeing what I’m seeing?”

“You mean the fact that we’re riding down a mountain?”

“That and the back car is full of baby Aptonoth’s.”

They could hear the cries of the baby Aptonoth’s as there all in cages. Some were even trying to get out by headbutting the bars. As well as others that just lay down in the cages to.

“Are they dangerous?” Asked Littlepip.

“As long as you don’t try to kill them, or piss them off.” Vanessa closed the door to the car the Aptonoth were in. “What I want to know is how did slaver’s get so many of them without pissing off their mothers?.”

“Maybe they killed them?” Asked Littlepip.

“I’m gonna go with that as an answer, but we’ll worry about it later. Right now we have a train to stop.” Just as she opens the door to the next car. Vanessa was sent flying onto Littlepip by what looks like a piece of stone stuck on a metal rod. “*Cough* Son of a bitch! *Cough* What hit me!?”

Standing in the doorway was a beefed up minotaur wearing full body armor similar to the Steel Rangers armor they saw last week. In his hand was the same weapon he used to knock the wind out of Vanessa.

“The hell is that?” Asked Vanessa pulling herself off of Littlepip.

“It a minotaur. What is one of them doing here!?” Yelled Littlepip.

“That’s a minotaur? I thought those things were a myth.”

“No there was always stories about them surviving the magic bombings, but nopony knew if it was true or not seeing how far away they live from the wastelands.” Littlepip was shaking.

“So…..anything I need to know about them?”

“Only they’re strong and what I could get from the stable. They were the best blacksmiths around. Apart from that no pony knows.”

“Fan-fucking-tastic.” Vanessa said as she drew her longsword out. “When you see an opening hit him hard got it?” Littlepip was still shaking but nods her head slowly.

“Are you two done talking? I’m not being paid to stand here and listen all day.” Grumbled the minontar.

“No, but your mother would do that when she sells her body out to be your towns slut.”

The minotaur didn’t even move at that insult. “Your point?” He asked as if not caring.

“I’m saying your mom’s a whore dumbass.”

“I know.” He just replied blankly.

“Oh……..well…..this is awkward.” The minotaur moves forward and attacks with his stone like hammer smashing a train seat in the process. “HA! You missed me fuck head!”

The minotaur smiled and pulled a back swing sending the chair flying at Vanessa. Vanessa saw the chair coming at her and barrel rolled to the left and hitting her back into the wall of the train car. Then she saw the minotaur swing his hammer at her again only for her to duck under it and back away. “You missed again!”

The minotaur was smiling as he pulled the hammer free and taking the train car window with it. “Not bad.” He said as what remains of the window fall to the floor.

“This wouldn’t be the only time I had to fight someone with a weapon like that.”

“So you grow up in a city did you?.” The minotaur asked.

“Projects actually. Lived there from the age of five to the ten until my father got me out. After that I lived on a military base for the rest of my life.”

“Sorry to hear that, I know what it like to be turned into a tool for others to use.” He then swung his hammer right at her aiming to crush her in one blow. Vanessa dodged, but the minotaur punched her in the face sending her flying into the floor.

“Going by the way you fight you haven’t done this for a long time.” The Minotaur said as he saw Littlepip. “Not only that, but you have one of these stable ponies with you? Tell me, how long have you been living in the wasteland for?”

“A week and so far we’re doing well.” Littlepip answered.

The minotaur laughed at that before giving Vanessa a sad smile. “I’ve been doing this for too long I’m tired, I just want to lay down and close my eye and never wake up again. But I keep waking up to this nightmare…Can you please, put me to sleep and never wake up again?”

“Tch coward.” Said Vanessa pulling herself up from the floor.

“We all are, every last one of us on this planet. Why do you think no one helps each other? They know there no hope for any of us anymore.” The Minotaur attacked again slamming his hammer onto Vanessa’s sword.

“Heh you give up to easy dumbass, but if you want to take the coward's way out of this hell then just kill yourself!” Vanessa yelled. As she pushed the minotaur back.

“Can’t, minotaur law we can only die in battle. You should know that growing up in the military.” He then pushed her away and try to swing his hammer into Vanessa skull.

Vanessa dodge the minotaur’s attack as she rushed towards him with her sword ready to counterattack. The minotaur let go of his hammer letting it hit the floor and side steps the humans attack. The minotaur then punched Vanessa in the face again sending her to the floor.

“Sorry about this. I’m just doing my job.” He said as he slowly picks up his hammer up off the floor. Littlepip took this moment to fire upon the minotaur while he was distracted. Littlepip kept firing until she heard her gun click empty. Her eyes wide in horror as the minotaur slowly stands back up. “Like I said I’m just doing my job.”

“I’m back!” An arrow fly into the minotaur back and he then around to see who attacked him. Samantha was standing in the doorway in the train car with a smile and Tom on the top of her head like a hat. “That didn’t go as planned.”

“SAMANTHA STAY THE HELL OUT OF THIS!” Yelled Vanessa pulling herself up again. “This asshole is mine and mine alone to deal with!”

“Like that time we went to that bar and you got mad at the claw machine?” Said Samantha with a deadpan stare.

“Get in the way of my fight and I’ll kick your ass like the time you did when we were kids.”

“Sure… Just like the time we went to that movie and you got mad at the ending.”

“Do you two need some time alone or something?” Asked the minotaur as he pulled the arrow out of his back and stare at them. “We’re kind of in the middle of a fight to the death as you can fight with your marefriend once I’m dead or she is.”

“We’re not a couple jerk face.”

“As much as I want us to be sadly.” Said Samantha with a smile.

“You’re not my type Samantha.”

“I forgot you like the guys with the nerdy look, I know you think there cute.”

“No they’re not my type either, and I’m not into dudes.”

“What about that one guy you watched that anime movie with and said you had a good time.” Said Samantha with a big grin on her face.

“That was you brother idiot how you hook me with.”

“Come on you know he likes you!”

“Until he told me I wasn’t his type remember?”

“No… He told me you guys were going out again sometime. Oh that cheeky little he lied to ME!”

During Samantha’s little tantrum. The minotaur sucker punched Vanessa in the stomach, and sent her towards the door of the train cart. “If you two are done talking? I would like to finish my fight with her, so stay out of it.”

“*Cough* Prick.”

“I don’t have time for all this stupidity. I have a job to do and I don’t need a bunch of greenhorns like you to keep me from it.”

“Fine then.” Vanessa pulled herself from out of the door and took out a red container from her back pouch. “I really didn’t want to do this, but I guess I have no choice then huh?” She said as she swallowed the red substance in the container.

“What was that she just swallowed?” Asked Littlepip.

“Demondrug.” Samantha answered. “It acts like a steroid increasing a person’s strength, speed, and I think numbs one’s pain senses.”

“Interesting.” Said Sunny who was writing down some notes. “A drug that can increase a pony’s strength and speed. Does it have any side effects?”

“Not that I know of, but something tells me that Vanessa will be tired after all this.”

“So.” A red aura appeared around Vanessa as she took out a mega potion and drink it. “Now that I got a feel on how you fight, this should be a fair and interesting fight.”

“You think you can still beat me.” The minotaur said. Chuckling at the Vanessa statement. “You wouldn’t be the only one that said-.” Before he could finish. Vanessa launched herself at him with her longsword at the ready. The minotaur saw this and swung his weapon at her, only to see her vanish from his sight. “What the?”

“Down here idiot!” The minotaur looked down only to see Vanessa perform an uppercut with her sword onto his body armor. At first it did nothing, but when Vanessa landed on the floor the armor broke in half revealing his body from under it.

“Not bad mutant, you’re the only one that were able to destroy one of the steel rangers power armor.”

“Mind telling what your name is?’ Asked Vanessa. “You already know my name, but I never got the chance to ask you yours.”

“Iron Wall is my name.” He said as he charged at Vanessa with his weapon ready to strike again. “But it won’t matter to you once I kill you all!” At that moment time seemed to had stopped from Vanessa point of view. During that time she once again closed her eyes and imagine one of her weapons in her hand. And again like before, the entire cart was engulfed in a bright light. Causing everyone except Vanessa to cover their eyes.

*Clang* *Slash* *Slash* *Slash*

As the light vanished. Samantha, Sunny Day, and Littlepip open their eyes to see Vanessa standing behind Iron Wall with her charge blade in hand, and serious look on her face. Vanessa slowly walked away from the minotaur as Iron Wall collapsed to the floor like a ton of bricks.

“Sad really, you could of been a great ally if you weren’t such a coward.” She said as she focus her attention towards her friends who looked at her in shock, well mostly Littlepip. “What? Do I have something on my face.” (Music Ends)

“No we’re just surprised that you beat that minotaur all by yourself.” Said Samantha. “Guess you can cross beat the crap out of a minotaur on the things you never done before.”

“Shut the fuck up Samantha and take care of the slaves that are still in shackles.” Vanessa said as she walked towards the engine room. “Littlepip let’s go.”

“Huh? Uh h-hey wait up.” Littlepip said as she was brought out of her train of thought and followed the human off.

“You humans are very weird, no offense or anything.” Said Sunny Day.

“None taken. Let’s just leave them to do their thing while we free the other ponies.” Said Samantha as she walked towards the other train cart.

(Vanessa & Littlepip)

“H-Hey I have a few questions if you don’t mind me asking?” Asked Littlepip.

“Sure what is it?”

“Why is your skin the same color as chocolate?” Vanessa momentarily stop after hearing that. “Oh Celestia did I say something offensive?”

“N-No, no you didn’t say anything offensive or anything. It’s just the way you said it that took me by surprise that’s all.” Vanessa said trying not to bust out into a fit of laughter. “To answer your question I’m African American.”

“Oh okay, so how come your friend isn’t the same color as you are?”

“She’s white.”

“So are all human brown and white?”

“In a way yes. What you thought that all humans were the same color or something?”

“Well I never meet your kind until a week ago. You can’t blame me for wondering that.”

“Yeah good point I guess…..wait what did you think why my skin was brown?”

“Uh well I figure that you ate too much chocolate when you were just a little filly and your skin turned to the same color as chocolate.”

“.........BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!”

“What’s so funny!?” Yelled Littlepip who was blush.

“That’s the most stupidest thought I have ever heard of in my entire life! I mean what kind of human turn brown just by eating nothing but chocolate for the rest of his or her life!?”

“Oh fuck you jerk!”

“Okay, okay I’m sorry for that outburst.” Vanessa whipped away the tears from her eyes. “Let’s just go and see what’s in the next train cart.”

“Fine but this isn’t over.” Agreed Littlepip as her horn glowed causing the door to open. The duo entered the room and found out they were inside a kitchen. A very somewhat old and beat up kitchen that you would see in a silent hill movie. Just without the monsters and having the environment change every few hours or so. “Geez you think they would keep this place up to date.”

“Yeah you think so huh? Let’s see if we can get anything useful out of here before-.”

“WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING!?” Vanessa turn her head to the left to see a Slaver levitating a shot at them.

“Who care! Just shoot her and get that pony. We can sell her once we hit Old Appaloosa!”

“I really hate the wasteland.” Vanessa said. As she and Littlepip jumped over the kitchen counter to avoid the shotgun bullet being fired at them. “Hey how much ammo do you have in that gun of yours?”

“You mean little macintosh?” Littlepip levitated her gun towards her as she open it to check how much ammo she has. “two rounds.”

“Okay and how many ponies are trying to kill us right now?”

“five.” Vanessa kicked open the bottom cabinet in front of her to pull out a frying pan. “Um I don’t think this is a good time for cooking Vanessa?”

“I’m not gonna cook Littlepip, but I do need you to fire at the frying pan once I throw it into the air.” Vanessa tossed the frying pan into the air as Littlepip fired the last two bullets from little macintosh at the pan. The two bullets bounced off the pan and into two of the slavers skulls. “Two down three to go.” She then pulled out three throwing knives and hand one to Littlepip. “To your left!” Littlepip tossed the knife to the left hitting the slaver that was about to shoot her in the throat, while Vanessa threw her knife into the slaver on her side’s throat as well.

“Two down one to go.” She said as she rushed from behind the counter with her charge blade in hand. The Slaver shot at Vanessa, but it was blocked by her shield.

“OH SHI-!” Before he could finish. Vanessa shield bash the pony into the air and tossed her sword into the air as well.

“LITTLEPIP NOW!” Upon hearing that Littlepip jumped off the counter, off of Vanessa’s shield, and then grabbed the sword that was in the air slamming it into the heart of the Slavers chest. “Nice teamwork there.”

“Wow, that was amazing!” Yelled Littlepip who was trotting around in joy. “I mean I never done anything like that before, but we did in perfect symmetry.”

“Okay let’s not lose track on what we need to do Littlepip.” Vanessa said as she handed her friend a shotgun and a sniper rifle which were surprisingly in perfect condition. “Here you’ll need this more than I do.”

“How come you don’t use firearms?” Asked Littlepip.”You don’t seem to have a problem with using throwing knives, but you won’t use a gun?”

“I suck at aiming nought said.”

“Are you really that bad as shooting?”

“I’ll say this much. Don’t ever give me a gun unless you have a plan to use my bad aiming to your advantage, but I don’t mind using a shotgun.”

“Oh……..let’s get going.”

“Yeah let’s.”

(Engine Room)

“Hey don’t you think it’s a bit quiet out there?” Asked a Slaver shoveling a shovel full of coal into the fire of the engine.

“Yeah it is. A little too quiet if you ask me. I’m gonna go check it out, you keep the train going until we hit old Appaloosa.” The unicorn said as he open the door only to have his head blown off by Littlepip’s shotgun.

“OH SHIT!” He yelled as he was about to attack Littlepip with the shovel he had in his hooves. “You’re going to pay for that you little bitch!” Vanessa threw paintball at the earth pony causing him to go blind for the moment. This gave the human the chance to suplex the pony onto the metal floor.

“Answer me this shit head. Where does this train go to?” Vanessa asked as she held a knife that the pony’s throat. “And I be really quick about it if I were you, cause right now I’m a little trigger happy.”

“O-Old Appaloosa why?”

“What’s in Old Appaloosa?”

“You don’t want to know we’re turning this train around.” Said Littlepip.

“I-it’s a one way train, you can’t turn it around or anything.” Said the pinned down slaver.

“Does this train go anywhere else?” Asked Vanessa.

“Umm.” Said the slaver as he looks around.

“Hey my friend asked you a question idiot, so you better answer her.” Littlepip cocked her shotgun to make a point. “Or she’ll hand you over to me, and you wouldn’t like that.”

“Okay! there is one other place but… it overrun with monsters that act like chickens.”

“....F.M.L.”

“What? do you know what he's talking about?” Asked Littlepip.

“Yian Kut-ku’s.”

“A Yian what?”

“Annoying bird like dragons that I really hate to fight with, but they do have good materials for us to make weapons out of. Care to tell what’s in Old Appaloosa slaver?”

“What do you think?” He asked rolling his eyes at her.

“You do realize I could give you to my friend Littlepip and her shotgun right?”

“I’m a slaver right? And we’re going to Old Appaloosa. I’ll let you guess as to what’s there and why we’re going there with this many slaves.”  

“Really now?” Vanessa looked at her stable friend. “Littlepip we’re going to Old Appaloosa to free some slaves.”

“Your crazy! There no way you’ll get off the train let alone free anyone.”

“You clearly never met me before have you?”

“And you clearly never been through Old Appaloosa. Only two kinds of ponies get through that city, slaves and slavers.” The slaver pony then crossed his legs over his chest. “You might as well just shoot me now.”

“We’ll do that later, but for now you’re gonna help us get in.”

“And why would I do that? It either I die by you guys or I die when they find out I helped you get in ever way I see nothing in it for me.”

“If you help us you’ll live, but if you don’t I’ll kill you.”

“Yeah as some pony slave most likely.” The Slaver was making it clear he was not helping.

“Hm…...Hey Tom, do you have anyway to control this guy?” Tom just buzzed at her and flew off to find Samantha.

“I think that a no.” Said Littlepip.

“Really? I couldn’t tell seeing how he flew off.” Vanessa said sarcastically.

“So are you mares going to kill me or what?.” Asked the Slaver still sitting on the floor.

“Plan B, we use this guy as a puppet to get us in.”

“That not going to work.” Deadpans Littlepip.

“We won’t kill him, just use some mind control magic to control him.”

“I don’t have any spells like that, not only that but hardly anypony know that kind of magic anymore.”

“Geez you ponies really putting me in a bind here you know that?”

“Look this is the wasteland. Most ponies out here don’t expect to live past a day let alone a week. Not only that, but places like Old Appaloosa are the kind of place outlaws, bandits, and slavers go to drink get food and go back out to make other ponies lives a living hell. What we need to do is find somewhere else to go and I’d pick flying monsters over Old Appaloosa any day of the week.”

“Let me put this in terms you can understand. One, even though Samantha and I are good hunter’s. Taking on a place that is over runned by dragons with low gear and supplies is like handing a monkey a shotgun. Two we have injured ponies that can’t stand or fight due to the way they been treated, and even if we gave them our potions and stuff this train doesn’t have that much ammo or weapons to fight the monsters.”

“And saying we should go to Old Appaloosa where we’re just as likely to get shot at and get turned into slaves what you’re planing is going to get us all killed!”

“There is one other place…” Said the pony Slaver.

“......Didn’t I ask you if there were another place this train lead to?” Said Vanessa pressing her knife closer to the slavers throat.

“I know, but I was thinking it the only way I’ll get out of here alive… We can go through the Diamond Dog town.”

“Wait there’s a town named like that?”

“No way I hear they eat ponies!” Yelled Littlepip.

“You wanted a way out where we all don’t have to die I just gave you one. But we’ll need the other bodies of anypony you guys killed to get here.”

“Well it’s a good thing they’re a lot slavers and raider idiots on this train.”

“We might have to give them something more to get past, something alive.”

“Like what pray tell do we need to give to get past them?”

“The baby monsters in the back of the train or some of the slaves…”

Vanessa looked over at Littlepip who bit her own lips after hearing that. “Ok so we three options. Fight our way through a bunch of dragons, sneak our way through Appaloosa, or sell the baby Aptonoth’s so we can get past Diamond Dog town. I’m really wanna go with option two at the moment.”

“We should get Sam and Sunny in on this? They’ll want to know what going on.”

“Fair enough.”

(Moments later)

“So that’s pretty much it on what’s going on ladies. So what are your thoughts on the matter?” Asked Vanessa.

“I think we should go to this dog town it could be fun and maybe even get some supplies when we’re there.” Said Samantha with a smile and Tom on her head.

Sunny day looked like she was thinking. “If I remember right the train tracks from the Diamond dog town loop back on to this line then we can head to New Appaloosa from there.”

“You guys do realize we have to sell them babies right? You’re ok with that?”

“Not all of them, I can haggle them into taking three or four at the most and we can sell the other six once we get to New Appaloosa.” Said the Slaver pony.

“Who said you had a say in this?” Said Littlepip keeping the shotgun at the pony head.  

“Easy Littlepip. We still need him alive, unless he tries to do something stupid then you can shoot him.” Said Vanessa.

“As long as I get to live I don’t care if you even sell me out to the ponies who live in New Appaloosa.” Said the Slaver pony.

“Alright then.” Vanessa started to walk off towards the engine room. “Diamond Dog Town it is then.”

“We’re going to have to stop the train so we can change the tracks. Then put them back once we’ve past the junion.”  

“Okay than. Samantha hand over whatever potions you have and give them to any pony that needs them.”

“I kind of already did that and..” Samantha holds up two potions up in her hands. “This is all that left.”

Vanessa hands over her bag full of potions. “Not the one’s up front now get to it.”

Samantha sighed as she took the other bag and started her long walk back through the train carts.

“Just to let you know if the Diamond dogs want one of the slaves you should really just let them have one. It could be trouble if you say they can’t have one.” Said the Slaver.

“We’ll see how things turn out once we get there, but until will just focus on taking care of any of the injured ponies on the train.”

“Your the boss.” Said the Slaver pony as he go back to drive the train.

“Yeah……..I’m the boss.”

“I don’t know how to feel about this, is it normal for a pony to just change sides like that?.” Asked Littlepip.

“Most ponies do if it means they live longer.” Said Sunny Day as she reads the Monster Hunter's handbook. “Don’t forget this is the wastelands. It hard to making a living out here let alone live.”

“That and survival of the fittest.” Added Vanessa.

“I’m going to keep an eye on him.” Said Littlepip as she go after him.

“To bad he’s a slaver he a looker.” Said Sunny Day with a half smile.

“Seriously?”

“This is the wastelands you can’t be picky.”

“Good point. I’m gonna check on Littlepip, you okay with staying here in the engine room?”

“Go get her tiger.” Sunny Day smiles after saying that.

“Okay you really gotta stop hanging around Samantha.”

“Why I don’t know what you’re talking about?” Said Sunny with a giggle. Vanessa didn’t say anything but just turned around and walked off towards where Littlepip was going.

        Outside of the train on a mountain a few yards away. Was another human wearing a black, yellow, and red outfit that looked like it was made in neighpon. Standing next to a large ape like monster with horns sticking out of the sides of it head.

“So there are other humans then myself that came to this place.” Amanda said as she hopped back onto her Rajang. “And the worst part is I know one of them.” Her partner Raj gave her a smug look as if he was saying he wants to fight them.

“Not yet buddy, let’s just follow them and see how things turn out. We might need their aid for when we go to Old Appaloosa to free the slaves in that town.”

“Before something finds that town and get a free meal.” Said a brown color pegasus with orange color mane and two guns strapped to his side.

“Oh right, I almost forgot that you were here Calamity.”

“Forgot? We’ve been traveling for weeks how can you forget about me?”

“You mean forget how you shooting at me when you thought I was a super mutant trying to attack that carvan you were protecting?”

“I said I was sorry!”

“And I forgive you for that right after Raj volleyball you out of the air like fly.”

“I still don’t know how you can trust that thing, how do you know it won’t eat you in your sleep?”

“If Raj wanted to eat me he would of done so by now, and the reason why I trust him was because I saved his ass from a blind Deviljho and the Steel Rangers.”

“You mean the black one with the scars on it face? Still don’t know how you drove that thing off.”

“It’s not that hard to do if throw a grenade down it’s throat. Still I wish I had a shock trap so I could kill and use it parts to make another set of armor.”

“Your crazy, killing them is one thing but making armor out of them?”

“Crazy I maybe, but they have good armor that’s pretty useful. Along with weapons you make out it.”

“At least it wasn’t a Diablos and a Monoblos. That could’ve been bad.”

“You mean the one’s that attacked New Appaloosa a week ago?”

“That the one’s.”

“Well it’s a good thing I took them up on that offer they gave me after I took that job.”

“Still I don’t understand how you turned those parts into weapons?”

“You know those two minotaur brothers that works with the science and medical department of New Appaloosa?”

“What about em?”

“Where did you think I got most of my supplies and gear from, they may not be as strong as other minotaurs, but they make one hell of a good blacksmiths.” Raj used his tail to lift Calamity onto his back where Amanda was on. “Now hang on we’re going to Diamond Dog Town! They still owe me after saving their town from Molten Tigrex the other day.”

“You know I hate this!”

“Too bad cause this how we roll!” With a kick to Raj’s side. The rajang coat started to spark with electricity and runs off to where the train was head off towards to town.

 

 

 

Chapter 4: Berserk Tetsucabra

(Diamond Dog Town)

        A few hours have past as the traveling hunters and friends made it to Diamond Dog Town. At first they thought that the town was gonna be a place full of thugs and savage dogs, but to their surprise it was….well nothing like that. Well it still looked like a project where Vanessa used to live, but it looked like it was flea market to her point of view.

“So this is Diamond Dog Town?” Asked Samantha. “It looks like a flea market.”

“In a way it is, but unlike most flea market they sell slaves here. So try not to do anything that might piss them off.” Said the slaver pony.

“Yeah I’ll try not to piss them off.” Said Vanessa.

“I mean it. Don’t forget that we need to get through here to get to New Appaloosa.”

“Yeah, yeah I get it. Let’s just hope my plan will workout in our favor.”

        Just as they were about to explore the flea market a group of Diamond Dogs wearing heavy armor started to approach them. In the middle of them was a Diamond Dog wearing trench coat and a western duster on his head.

“Well what do we have here? Been awhile since I’ve seen a slave train coming here in my town. So what are you all selling to me? Slaves, goods, or do you need some supplies for something?”

“My name is Silver Shot, and we see passage through your town to get to New Appaloosa.” Said Silver Shot.

“Hm what do you have to trade with for passage through my town?” Silver Shot motion Vanessa to bring over a baby Aptonoth. “Oh what do we have here?”

“This is called an Aptonoth. One of the new monsters that have been popping up around the wasteland all of a sudden. We’re willing to trade you three or four of them in exchange for passage and some supplies for the ponies inside the train.” Said Vanessa.

“Hmmmmmm are they any good?”

“If you let them grow into adults they’ll be very helpful when it comes to dragging heavy loads, and the meat you can cook from them is to die for when hit a certain age.”

“Really now?” The Diamond Dog mouth started to water as he thought of how good the meat would be once they kill the Aptonoth’s. “Okay you have a deal.”

“Really? You’re not gonna ask for a slave to eat or something?” Asked Sunny Day. “What the catch Doggy?”

“First of all my name is Blitz, and second I don’t need nor want a slave. Now if you guys came here about a month ago during the previous kings rule then he would of asked for a few slaves, but for me. I prefer to trade with something interesting or caps.”

“I’m starting to like this guy.” Said Vanessa.

“But I have to ask. Who are you guys? Normally I would a group of ponies in that train, but so far I only see you three and…..who the fuck are they?” Blitz asked pointing at the two humans.

“My name is Vanessa Roberts, and these our my friends Samantha Mayfield, Littlepip, and Sunny Day.” She answered as the rest of them waved hi to Blitz.

“Huh, never thought I see a bunch of mutant apes be friends with a group of ponies.”

“HEY! I am not a hairless ape. I am a human being from another world thank you very much!”

“Okay no need to get angry about it. Sorry if I offended you Ms Vanessa.”

“I guess I’ll let it slide seeing how you’re the only one that apologise for saying that. Along with calling me Ms.”

“Does it really matter Vanessa?” Said Littlepip. “At least we can get some supplies and passage through this town.”

“Now wait just a minute there partner. I said I’ll give you the supplies for those slaves you’re trying to help, but you can’t let you through.”

“How come?” Asked Samantha.

“We have a bit of a mutant frog problem near the train tracks. I sent some of my men down there to see if they could drive it off or kill, but the dang thing hard to kill when it keeps jumping around like a filly hooked on coffee.” Blitz tilted his hat in annoyance. “So far I haven’t lost any of my men, but seeing how that mutant frog is blocking the other path of the town. Shipment is taking too long to get here seeing how they have to make it pass Old Appaloosa, and I prefer not to have any of my men be taken in to be turn into a slave.”

“So what you’re saying is that as long as that frog is still there, then we won’t be able to get to New Appaloosa right?” Asked Vanessa.

“If you’re able to kill that thing. I’ll personally make sure whenever you and your friends come into town you can have anything you want. As long as it doesn’t cost you an arm and a leg.”

“Okay I’ll take care of your little problem, but before I do this mind telling me what it looks like?”

Blitz reached into his trench coat to pull out a photographic picture of what the mutant frog looks like. “This is what the the bastard looks like. Though I am surprised that radiation would turn a frog into something like this.”

“That's not a mutant frog Blitz. It’s a Berserk Tetsucabra.” Samantha said looking over Vanessa’s shoulder.

“Tetsu-What?”

“*Sigh* Berserk Tetsucabra An amphibious monster known for its distinctive markings resembling a painted face. These beasts dig up and hurl boulders in the same way as a standard Tetsucabra does, but the stones thrown by this Berserk variety explode upon impact.” Said Sunny Day as she closed the monster hunter book she was reading.

“Look I don’t care what it is. Can you kill it or not?”

“This shouldn’t be a problem. Samantha and I will take care of this with no problems at all.”

“Oh hell no! I’m not going near that thing, not after what happened the last time we fought it.” Said Samantha in defence. “Plus I’m ran out of ammo and need to make more before I even try to help you out.”

“What about your bow?”

“Not so useful when I don’t have anymore coating to cover my arrows in.”

“Dammit. Okay fine you stay here and help Sunny Day with the ponies inside. Me and Littlepip will take care of the monster on the train tracks.”

“Try not to get yourselves killed. Lord knows we don’t want that to happen.” Vanessa gave her friend the bird and walked off along with Littlepip by her side.

(Outside of town)

“Okay so we’re looking for a giant monster toad that throws explosive rocks at you. Shouldn’t be that hard to find and kill right?” Asked Vanessa.

“I’m pretty sure we’ll be able to find it seeing how it’s the only thing that is odder than anything else in the wasteland.” Said Littlepip.”But I have to ask. Why did you take Blitz offer to kill this Tetsu-what the hell that name is?”

“Reason number one. We need to hurry up and get to New Appaloosa so we can drop the ponies off. Granted it may not be much but after what Sunny Day told us about the place they should be able to help them get back on their hooves.”

“Any other reason besides that? Because something tells me that you need that monster for something big that’s going to happen later on.”

“Reason number two. I need that monster so I can make some bullet proof armor for when I free the slaves in Old Appaloosa.”

“You’re gonna do WHAT!?”

“Dude too loud.” Vanessa said covering her hears from Littlepip’s outburst. “Like I said I’m gonna free the slaves in Old Appaloosa.”

“Didn’t you hear what Silver Shot said about that place? It’s full of Slavers, Raiders, and Celestia knows what else is in there.”

“Yeah I know that, but I’m not the type of person who like to see innocent bystanders suffer. After I was in the military and we don’t take kindly to people who prey on the weak.”

“Didn’t you hear anything I said before? If you want to free the ponies of Old Appaloosa you’ll need a army. A big one.” Said Littlepip.

“This wouldn’t be the only time I had to do something like this Littlepip. I been in a situation like this at the age of 19 before I joined the military, but unlike what happen back home I’m more prepare for something like this.”

“You’re crazy if you want to get yourself killed fine, but don’t think I will be following you there.”

“I’m pretty sure you’ll come with me Littlepip.” Vanessa said looking at her pony friend with a smile on her face. Littlepip just rolls her eyes at the human as they walk. “Don’t give me that look. You and I both know you don’t want to see me get killed, and plus you know in your heart that you want to help them as well.”

Littlepip was about to say something when she heard a noise. Vanessa heard it too and the two slowly turn around and saw the Berserk Tetsucabra sitting there looking at them.

“You think that monster can understand us?” Asked Vanessa.

“I hope not…” Said Littlepip. “Why don’t you try and talk to it?”

“Okay…...Hey can you understand anything I’m say?” Said Vanessa asking the Tetsucabra a question. “Because if you do understand me then you need to get the hell out of here, and away from this town because we were sent here to make you leave or kill you.”

It jumps forwards and roars at them before jumping at them again with it jaws wide open.

“Well that answers my question!” Vanessa grabbed Littlepip and rolled out of the way of the Berserk Tetsucabra. “Looks like we have to kill it then.” Vanessa said as she pulled out her longsword as Littlepip drew her sniper rifle out.

“You really think that going to hurt it?” Asked Vanessa.

“Well it’s better than nothing.” Littlepip fired at the Tetsucabra, but the bullet did little to nothing due to the monster’s skin being hard as steel. “Seriously? How can you hope to kill if bullets can’t even pierce its skin?”

“That is why I have my longsword to do that. Now go and find some cover and I’ll give you the signal to fill that thing with lead after I damage it’s skin.” Littlepip did as she was told, and ran off towards a pillar of earth and stood on top. Keeping her focus on the monster. “Okay now back to big, tall, and ugly.”

Once again the Tetsucabra jumps at Vanessa with it jaw open. Getting ready to try and eat our huntress, but to its surprise Vanessa jumped above the monster, switched to her charge blade into axe mode, and slammed her weapon onto the back of Tetsucabra causing the scales on it’s back to break. "Okay backs broken now for the legs and tusk." Vanessa switch from axe mode back to sword & shield mode. At that moment the Tetsucabra chucked an explosive rock at the huntress, but was blocked by her shield.  

        Vanessa dashed forwards. Switching her weapon back into axe mode as she was about to strike the monster, but the Tetsucabra jumped over her and ricochet off a boulder and slammed right into Vanessa. Causing her to be slammed through the wall of a broken building.

“Vanessa are you okay!?” Yelled Littlepip.

“Did anyone get number of that bitch that hit me?” Responded Vanessa staggering to her feet. The Tetsucabra started roaring in the sky before it starts digging into the ground.

“What’s it doing?” Asked Littlepip.

“Running away from us. Come on let’s follow it before it get’s the chance to recover.” Vanessa said as she ran off towards where the Tetsucabra was, but it lift its head up with a mouth full of stone. “OH FUCK ME IN THE-!” Vanessa was unable to finish her statement as the monster crushed the rock within its mouth. Causing it to explode and sending Vanessa through another building.

“Vanessa you okay!?” Calls out Littlepip as she runs over to the down human.

“Ugh…….since when did you have a sister Littlepip? Vanessa shook her head trying to knock off the dizziness from what happen to her. “This is another reason why I hate hunting this bastard, but I need him for the armor.” Vanessa pulled herself up and saw the monster watching them from a far. “Smug little bastard. I’m so gonna enjoy killing you and making armor out of you.”

The Tetsucabra started jumping toward them before lunging at them to attack again. “I got an idea!” Said Littlepip as she ran off.  

“H-Hey where are you going? Don’t leave alone with this jerk of monster!” Yelled Vanessa just as the Tetsucabra bit into her longsword and growled. “Uh oh.” The monster then started jumping around with Vanessa holding on for dear life. “Oh god it’s Mexico all over again!”

The Tetsucabra then throws Vanessa into another house before roaring at the sky. It almost sounded like laughter.

“Okay now I’m mad.” She said as she switch to her starlight axe. “I will not be made a fool of by a small minded monster!” Vanessa switch from axe mode to sword & shield mode.

The monster frog just drags it large tucks in the ground before roaring again and start to dig in the dirt.

“Like hell you’re gonna escape from me!” Vanessa started to charge at the monster, and just like before it pulled out another stone into its mouth. “Not gonna work this time stupid!”

The Tetsucabra neck looked like it was getting bigger then It spit the exploding rock at her. As the dust from the explosion started to disappeared Vanessa shield was held up during that time. “Told you dumbass.” She said as she smashed her shield into the Tetsucabra’s face, causing one of it’s tusk to break.

The Tetsucabra growled as it jumped back and drag it feet in the dirt like a bull going to charge. When out of no where a large tarp drops on top of the monster frog. “There now get it!” Yelled Littlepip. However Vanessa noticed something odd was happening the monster frog was not attack or jumping. Just sitting there with the tarp over it head.

“What’s the matter dumbass? Finally realizing that you’re fucked?” Vanessa said as she switched to her longsword getting ready to kill it. It didn’t move. Littlepip walks over to Vanessa then slowly and carefully walks up to it. As they get closer to the monster they could hear snoring.

“........Is it sleeping?”

“I… think so?”

“........That’s it. Gonna kill it while it’s asleep, because right now I’m absolutely fucking livid.” Vanessa once again raised her sword. “Now hold still while I pierce through your head.”

“Wait! Maybe it's not a bad mutant frog. Maybe we can just dump in the wastes somewhere where so it won’t hunt no pony.”

“Dump it my ass! I got some payback to give to this bastard. Not only that but I need some armor and weapons from it.”

“How are you going to make armor out of it? The things bulletproof, so how are you going to cut it up for armor?” Asked Littlepip as she looks up at Vanessa.

Vanessa pulled out a sharp carving knife from her back pocket.

“Okay, do you even know how to make armor?” She asked looking back at the sleeping monster.

 

“No… but that won’t stop me from trying.” Vanessa threw her longsword into the monster’s head killing it upon impact.

Littlepip did not look happy about what the human did, but then they heard the roar of another  Tetsucabra down the street sitting under the shade of a house.

“Huh didn’t see that coming.”

Then another one jumped into the middle of the street as if not knowing they were there and hopped off down the street to where the other one was resting in the shade.

“HA! Today must be my birthday, because I’m seeing two more to make some more gear for you and me Littlepip.”

“Sigh, why do I always meet the crazy ponies.” She sighed and pulled the large tarp off the dead  Tetsucabra with her magic.

“Oh this coming from the pony who didn’t have a problem killing those jaggi’s awhile back.” Vanessa said as she pulled her sword out of the dead Tetsucabra.

“They’re a pain in the flank, they’re either try to kill you or steal your food.”

“Or both, but either way time for some killing.”

“You’re not going to try and get these things to are you? You guys know it makes me sick watching you guys eat…meat.”

“You didn’t seem to have a problem when you ate some along with Sunny Day.”

“I had to. It was either that or go hungry and I know fully well you won’t last long out here on a empty stomach.” Said Littlepip. “I guess you want me to drop the tarp on them like I did with the other one right?.”

“That’s the plan. Give like five to ten minutes, and then drop the traps on them.”

[Two dead Tetsucabra’s later]

“See I told you the plan worked. Not only that but I have the stuff to make my new armor with.” Said Vanessa pulling a handmade wooden cart with materials from the Tetsucabra’s she and Littlepip killed.

“I get the feeling this is gonna be a normal thing with you when it comes to hunting monsters like this?”

“Pretty much yeah, but this shouldn’t surprise you after all the stuff you seen me do.”

“Which is why I’m against you trying to do a suicide attempt to try and free the slaves in Old Appaloosa Vanessa.”

“Look like it or not. I’m going to do it even if it is suicidal at least I might as well give it a try.”

“And you think our friends will allow this?”

“Maybe, maybe not, but either way I’m going to go save them. Plus maybe your friend Velvet Remedy might be their as well.”

“............”

“So are you in or not?”

“*Sigh* Alright fine, but we better not get killed or get captured their or else I’m gonna kick your flank.”

“Wonderful my little partner in crime. Now let’s head back and tell Blitz that we took care of their little mutant frog problem.”

“Ugh I don’t know why I keep getting myself drag along with her.” Groaned Littlepip as she followed her human friend back into town.

Chapter 5: Rest and Relaxation

 

A few days have past since the traveling hunters and their friends left Diamond Dog City. Thanks to the supplies given to them by the Diamond dog named Blitz, they were able to treat or mend to all the ponies inside the train. As soon as they reached New Appaloosa, everypony inside were back to physical health, though they still needed to be treated for any broken bones or damaged organs. Moments later they’ve reached their destination New Appaloosa.

[Science & Medical Department]

(Sunny Day’s Room)

“You can’t be serious about this?” Asked Silver Heart, still flabbergasted by Vanessa’s plan.

“I am dead serious about this.”

“This has to be the most stupidest plan you can ever think of Vanessa. I mean I don’t mind helping you out and all, but this plan is just impossible and suicidal.” Said Samantha hugging Tom.

“Look I know that it’s suicidal, but we can’t just leave those ponies to a fate worse than death can we?”

“Look Vanessa we been friends ever since your father moved you to live on base, but this….this is just crazy even for me.”

“Look I know that it’s crazy and I know you all don’t want to join me and Littlepip in this raid-.”

“Whoa wait a minute I didn’t say I wouldn’t join your crazy raid. I’m just saying that we need to gear up if we’re going to do operation freedom unite.”

“.....Operation freedom unite?”

“Well we are freeing a bunch of slaves aren’t we?”

“You can’t be serious about this? Do you even know what’s in Old Appaloosa?” Said Silver Heart. “That place is a breeding ground for slavers and raiders of all kind, and you expect to kill them all and save the slaves?”

“Crazy as it sounds, but I actually think this plan might work.” Said Sunny Day. “I mean with the materials that Vanessa got from that mutant frog thing, we were able to make some very interesting body armor.”

“Speaking of armor.” Vanessa turned her attention towards Littlepip. “During my time making my own armor, I made a new outfit for you Littlepip.”

“What’s wrong with the one I have on now?”

“If you haven’t notice it already Littlepip. But your stable suit is badly torn, cover in dirt & blood, and you kind smell…..then again we all smell seeing how we haven’t had a bath in the past few weeks.” Littlepip was about to say something about Vanessa statement, that is until she smelled herself to see if she was telling the true and boy was she right.

“Ugh…..Okay you’re right about that.”

“Let’s get some R&R before we do anything else.” Sunny suggested as she walked over towards the door leading to the hallway. “There’s a shower room down the hallway to your left. You’ll have to share the room seeing how we’re still fixing the ones upstairs due to a broken water pipe.”

“I’ll wait until you girls are finished.” Said Silver Heart.

“Well aren’t you a gentlecolt.”

“I only became a slaver because I didn’t want to die. Just because I join them doesn’t mean I haven’t lost my common sense like how some raiders are.”

“Good to see you’re still sane, would be a shame to have to kill you if you try anything stupid.”

[Bathroom]

“Well…...this is…..awkward.” Said Vanessa trying to fit into the bathtub, but only her feet and arms were sticking out of the tub. Littlepip was pretty much in the between the humans legs trying to fit into the tub.

“Are all humans this tall? I mean seriously I can’t even fit in the tub with you in it.”

“Most humans are, but be great full that I’m not overweight like how most are around here.”

“Dear Celestia that would be very uncomfortable. It’s bad enough you take up half the tub, I don’t need to be pressed against somepony’s fat.”

“Yeah…..hey are you calling me fat?”

“.......No.”

“....I’m going to ignore that.” Vanessa said as she tried to sink lower into the bathtub.

“Hey I have some questions if you don’t mind answering?”

“It depends on what the question is, but I’ll answer it to best of my ability.”

“Is your world like this, a somewhat barren wasteland of hell?”

“Not really no, but give the human race a couple of years or so then it will end up like this…..I think?”

“So your world is in a state of war as well?”

“A little bit, but not in my country.”

“What’s it like?”

“Think of it like this place the wastelands. Only take away all the raiders, slavers, dark sky’s, destroyed buildings, and dead body and plant life. Now replace it with nice looking buildings, plant life everywhere, non broken buildings, etc, etc.”

“You don’t seem that impressed about your world.”

“I been living there for the past couple of years, I pretty much gotten used to it. Also why with the sudden questions about earth anyway?”

“O-Oh um nothing really, just wondering that’s all.” Littlepip said as she dunked her head into the water and back up. “Just wanted to ask.”

“You were gonna ask me if you wanted to go there were you?”

“Can I?”

“If I can find something that can get us to earth, then sure why not.” Vanessa said as she pulled herself out of the tub. “Just be careful not to piss off the locals, and please don’t go into anything that is classified on base? I already got in trouble when Samantha did that, and I don’t want to piss my dad off more than ever.”

“I make no promises, but I’ll try.” Littlepip said as she too exited out of the tub. As she did she notice something shining on the bathroom floor. “Hey someone dropped a cap in here!” She said as she levitated the metal object towards her.

Vanessa turned her attention at what Littlepip found. “That’s not a cap.”

“Then what is it?” Littlepip asked as she took a closer look at the mysterious object. “Never seen anything like this in the wastelands before. You think we can sell it to get some caps?”

That when they hear a voice from the gem, it sounded like all they had to do was say someone's name and hold it.

“Who the hell is Asphyxious?”

“Don’t know, want to call him?” Asked Littlepip as she held the gem over to Vanessa.

“Oh yeah like that’s gonna work.”

“Well I’m doing it.” Said the unicorn as she held it in her magic. “Ummm.... Hello Mr: Asphyxious could you please come to us and ummmm do something?” Asked Littlepip as she looked at it awkwardly.

“That’s how you call someone? Man imagine if you were in my world and try to call someone.”

That when a portal opens above the bath and something drops into the water. “Oh for fuck sake! I was having a bath contemplating my existence as a Displaced!” Yelled a male voice.

Vanessa and Littlepip looked behind them to see some kind of half dragon thing that looked half human. He had what looked like an eyepatch and a dragon like tail not only that once he stands up he was also naked.

“Um…...Pip.”

“Yes Vanessa?”

“Did you just summon a human into the bathroom?”

“I think so…..you know him?”

The male human growled as he got out of the bath. “Thats just great. Someone summons me without my clothes on,  well it’s a good thing I keep my echo on my lich form.” The half human then looks at Littlepip before turning his head towards Vanessa who was naked in front of him..

“Why don’t you take a picture? It’ll last longer.” Vanessa said sarcastically.

“One tick.” He said as his body was covered in blue fire and what stands before them was a Lich made of metal. “Let see here, let me just get some gear out of this thing and.” There was a flash from his echo as he put it on the floor, then turns back into his human form and start to get dressed. “Done.” He said with a small smile on his face.

“........Why do I get the feeling that I’m gonna hate you.”

“Hey you said for me to take the picture? Not my fault what F.A.U.S.T. and Jack dues with it.” Said the half human dragon with a calm smile.

“.......Pip you still got my shotgun I gave you?”

“Don’t shoot him.” They hear a click as they look to see what looked like a Shotgun pointed at them.

The half dragon like human smiled at them. “Don’t try it unless you want to have acid rounds burning your insides. So why did you call me?” He asked sounding more bored than threatening.  

“You’ll have to ask Littlepip about that.” Littlepip looked between Vanessa and the one she summoned.

“I wanted to see if it worked.” She said with a blush. Asphyxious sighed as he put his shotgun away.

“Let me guess you’re a displaced right?” He asked pointing at the naked woman before him.

“The hell is a displaced?” Vanessa asked.  Asphyxious facepalms at this and sighs.

“Can you please get dressed and I’ll explain it to you.” Said Asphyxious as he crossed his arms.

“Would if I could, but my stuff is being looked at by the boys in the science department.”

“On come on I’m sure Twilight will give you your stuff back just ask one of her friends to get it for you.” He said pointing at the door behind them.

“Um…...If you mean the ministry leader of Arcane Science, then I hate to say this but she’s dead.” Said Littlepip.

“What?” Asked Asphyxious staring at the little pony. “What do you mean dead, that… No, no that can’t be right. What happened, what about her other friends? Pinkie, Dash, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rarity?”  

“From what Sunny Day told me, the leaders of the ministries of Peace, Awesome, Morale, Image, and Wartime Technology are dead.”

Asphyxious take a moment and sit on the floor. “... I need you to explain, everything about this  equestria.” He asked rubbing his eye.

“This is no longer Equestria buddy.” Said Vanessa covering herself with a towel. “ This is the wastelands. Where you better be ready to kill anyone that tries to kill you.”

“Sounds like what happens to me weekly…” He said sounding depreast.

“HA! Yeah right if your world have raiders that kill anyone, slavers who’ll sell anypony including kids, and monster that will eat you.”

“I have to deal with a cult that want to bring a dragon into the world that only want to eat it son’s and kill everything. A crazy monster scientist that has a horde of Pigmen under his control. And I have to put up with old Sunbutt who I want to kill everytime I SEE HER! So ya shit happens.” Asphyxious said with a edge to his voice.

“Oh so the Princesses are alive in your world?” Asphyxious slowly looks at them.

“You have got to be FUCKING KIDDING ME!” He yelled as he get up and kicks the wall. “How can they get themselves killed!”  

“They died during the war with the zebra nation from what Sunny told me.”

“What kind of fucked up world do you two live in?” He asked then walks past them. “ You know what I need some air.” He opens the door and walks out of the bathroom to see a  large bug land on his face.

“Oh hey you found Tom. I was wondering where he went after we got into the tub.” Said Vanessa.

Asphyxious reached up and pulled the large beetle off his head and looks at it. “Hmmm, at least it not a dragon spawn…” He said as he put Tom down on the floor and let it go.

“You be surprised at what you’ll find here in the wastelands.”

“After seeing one of my friends get turned into a Alicorn, and before that I am started dating a changeling queen and a half robot dragoness nothing surprises me anymore.” He said walking out of the room.  

“Fair point. So mind telling me who you are? Because you didn’t really explain much from inside the bathroom.”

“Didn’t you listen to my token? My name is Asphyxious. But my full name is Asphyxious Hellbringer.” He said looked between them.

“I ment your real name.”

“Can’t remember it anymore. Being locked up and left in the dark for 900 years does that to your mind… Also going crazy.” Asphyxious said as if it was not a big deal.

“Okay…..Well my name is Vanessa Roberts, and the stable pony next to me is name Littlepip.”

“Hello.” Said Littlepip with a wave of her hoof.

“Nice to meet you Vanessa, Pip.” Said Asphyxious as he moves his long tail from side to side.

“And you are in what used to be called Equestria.” Vanessa said as she points out the window to New Appaloosa. “This is New Appaloosa, the town of….well I don’t know it’s just a somewhat broken town.”

“I see… Also just a heads up if I start sounding, strange and become. Clingy I maybe falling into my dragon instincts. Just to let you know.” He said looking away from Vanessa with a little blush.  

“Noted, come on let me take to Samantha and Sunny Day. Something tells me that they should be informed about this whole displaced thing.”

Asphyxious follow them with a slight frown. “Samantha… Why do I feel like I’ve heard that name before?” He asked himself as they walked.

“Have you met her before?”

“I don’t think so, maybe. It’s kinda hard to remember my time when I used to be human.” He said as he rubbed the back of his head.

“Huh, well I’m sure you remember sooner or later now come on.”

(Sunny Day’s Room)

“We’re back ladies.” Vanessa said as she enters the room with Littlepip and Asphyxious along with her.

“It’s about time you two came back-.” Before Samantha could say anything else, she was taken by surprise by Asphyxious. “Holy fuck.”

“Is she always like this?” Asked Asphyxious as he looks at them blankly.

“Sometimes yes.” Vanessa said with a smile.

Samantha lifted herself off the bed and walked up towards Asphyxious with an angry/surprised look on her face. “The hell are you doing here Mark?”

Asphyxious looked confused at her as she said that. “Pardon?” He asked just looking at her with his one eye.

“Don’t “pardon me” Mark. I’m asking how the hell did you get here?” Asked Samantha as she put her hands on her hips.

“I’m sorry I don’t understand who Mark?” Asked Asphyxious as he feel a soft pain in his head and start to rub his head.

“.........What?” Asphyxious just looks at her as Sam arms fell to her sides. “W-WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN BY THAT ASSHOLE!? THAT’S YOUR NAME!”

“My… name…” Asphyxious said as he looks at her. “Wait… Do you know who I was before I was Displaced?” He asked sounding a little lost.

“You’re my dick of a cousin who keeps bailing on me whenever I ask you to help with a stunt I wanted to do.”

“I did that because I was worried you'd… Hurt… Yourself.” Asphyxious said as he trails off. “How do I know that…”  

“.....You really have no memory of me or Vanessa do you?”

“I…” He said as he shaking a little. “ I need to lay down…” Asphyxious said as he go to sit on the bed.

“Tch idiot.” Samantha stormed out of the room and walked off to somewhere else.

“Um…….what’s going on?” Asked Sunny Day. Asphyxious put his hand on his face as he sit on the bed shaking.

“I don’t remember… I feel like I know her but I can’t remember where or when.” Asphyxious said as he sit there.

“Long story short Sunny, Littlepip summon this guy from out of nowhere with this gem we found.”

“Not nowhere that’s my token…shit, I need to explain about the Displaced to you and….her, about making tokens.” Said Asphyxious as he looks at the floor.

“Might take a while for Samantha to cool down, so during that time you can ask us any question you want to know.”

Asphyxious looks at Vanessa and asked something that made him runch a little. “What… happened after I was gone?” He asked Looking at Vanessa.

“Well I don’t know what you mean by that? Care to be more specific?”

“Your friend called me Mark right? What happened to him?” He asked again.

“Well he was suppose to pick us up after the con, but he didn’t show after a couple of hours so we pretty much just rented a room for a few days and continue going to the con.” He looked at her calmly listening to her tell him her story.

“Once the con was over there was still no sign of him. Sam called the police and there was a search for about a year or two. After that they stopped looking and Sam…..well….she didn’t give up looking. So everytime a con was near we would look around and ask people if they have seen him.”

“What was he dressed up as…” Asphyxious asked looking at his hand.

“Some kind of grim reaper thing from a game.”

“I see…” Asphyxious said as he looks at the wall then get up. “I think I should talk to her.”

“She might shoot you.”

“Hah that nothing new for me sister and Chrysalis kick my ass all the time.” He said as he walks out the door.

(Roof Top)

“So this is where your hiding.” Said Asphyxious as he climbs up to the roof as he then carefully walks over to Sam. “I wasn’t sure I’d find you all the way up here.”

Samantha said nothing as she simply aim her bowgun at Asphyxious. He stop and holds his hands up in the air looking at her.

“Tell me…...What is my last name?”

Asphyxious sigh as he sit down on the roof and looks up at the sky. “I could try and lie but, that won’t make things better. I could say something like I knew who you was but I can’t. When you're left alone in the dark with no sound, no light, no one to talk to. No way to tell the time your mind just start to brake down to try and survive… But I didn’t have a human body anymore…”

Asphyxious stop and thinks about what he's going to say next but say nothing.

 

“I ask for you to tell me what my last name is, not to hear you monolog. Now I will ask you again.” She said as she cocked the bowgun. “What is my last name.”

Asphyxious looks down at the roof tiles with a frown. Thinking and thinking but nothing come to mind, so he closed his eye and said. “I don’t know.”

“..............It’s not fair.” Asphyxious opens his eye and looks up at her. “It’s not fair.” Asphyxious saw tears run down her face as she hold the bowgun in her hands. “Two years of trying to find you. Two fucking years of giving up my own dreams and future just to find you. Two fucking years of abandoning all my friends and family just to find. Now that I finally found you, you don’t even remember me.” Samantha pulled her bowgun back into her hand and started firing at Asphyxious only for the rounds to miss him.Asphyxious didn’t move as she fired at him, the one thing he didn’t understand was how she was missing. Hell even his echo shield was off, he just looked at her as the smell of gunpowder fill the air.

“TWO YEARS I GAVE EVERYTHING UP JUST TO FIND YOU AND YOU DON’T EVEN REMEMBER!? YOU MADE MY LIFE HELL AND RUIN MY LIFE BECAUSE OF THIS!” Samantha stopped firing as she ran up to Asphyxious and delivered a right hook to his face. Asphyxious grits his teeth at the pain in his face but does not fight back and let her hit him. Many thoughts were running through his head. One of them was why was he not fighting back? Why did he let this girl scream at him and punch him?

“I figure if I found you everything would go back to normal. Mother and father would accept me back into the family after they gave up on trying to find you. I figure that even if they abandon me I would always have you to help Mark.” Samantha was about to punch him again only for Asphyxious to wrap his arms around her.

“I’m sorry…..I know it not what you want to hear but that what I think he would say. I think he would feel guilty for making you worry like this, I think he would say it my fault so don’t worry about me. Live your life how you always have and smile.” He said to her as she held her fist over his head.

“.........B-But he’s the only family I have left.”

 

 

“Who says you can’t make a new one with your friends.” Asphyxious said with a little smile on his face. “I may not be him,  but I would like to be apart of your family. I’m sure Pupa would love to meet you.”

“*Sniff*........You do know I hate you right now right?”

“I know and you're free to hit me as much as you want.” Asphyxious said giving her a goofy smile.

“........Dammit, you're lucky that you’re doing the same face that Mark would give me to cheer me up.” Asphyxious then let her go and sit up looking over the town on the roof with her.

“Hey Sam, would it be okay if you told me what Mark was like?” He asked looking at her.

“Funny, caring, always bailing me out of trouble whenever I get into a fight with my folks.”

“Let me guess he would always give you a lecher right? Heh I do the same thing to my daughter.” Asphyxious said with a laugh.

“.........Maybe.”

Asphyxious give her a smirk then grins at her. “Hey guess what.” He then start tickling her. “Tickle Attack!”

“Oh no you don’t!” Samantha yells as she kicks Asphyxious in the balls.

“Why… Why everyone kick me there…” He asks in pain as he lay on the roof.

“Oh shit! Sorry, should of told that whenever someone does that I sometime hit them below that belt.”

“Heh well… Now I know don’t I?” He said with a painful smile.

“Oh walk it off you wuss, if Mark can handle something like that then so should you.” Samantha then began to walk towards the door. “Now let’s head back, mostly because it freaking cold up here and this towel is not helping.”

“I still can’t figure out how that didn’t fall off by now?” Asked Asphyxious as he follows her.

“A woman has her secrets.”

(Back inside)

“And that everything I know about the Displaced so any questions?” Asked Asphyxious as he looks at everyone in the room.

“Not really when you think about it.” Said Sunny Day as she looks at her note book. “So do you have any questions you want us to answer?”

“Just one… What did you to dress up as to end up here?” He asked looking at Sam and Vanessa.

“Hunters from the monster hunter games.” Said Sam as she was feeding Tom. Then everyone in the room heard a girly scream and looked at Asphyxious.

“Heh, sorry I was I think a fan of that. Hmm, was it a game or a manga?” He asked himself as he taps his head.

“Both actually, but we did the game one.”

“Then why is it you ended up here then a equestria full of pony hunters fighting monsters.” He asked rubbing his chin.

“HA! You think we’re hunters?” Said Sunny Day giggling a bit. “This is the wasteland, not a hunting service place to hunt monsters.”

Asphyxious looked at her blankly as he looked to Sam. “Hey Sam can I kiss her to make her be quiet?” He asked bluntly.  

“Sorry but no, also Sunny please explain to my friend about this world he’s in.”

“Fine I’ll tell him.” Sunny said as she turned her attention at Asphyxious. “So what do you want to know about this hell hole of the wasteland?”

“Let start how all things do, from the beginning.” He asked crossing his legs looking at Sunny Day listening to every word. After an hour or so of listening to the somewhat brief history of the wasteland. He then asked Sam if they could go out hunting so he could get some cool armor to.  

“You’re crazy.” Said Littlepip.

“Your point?” Asked Asphyxious looking at the pony bluntly.

“Hate to break it to you, but the only monsters that you’ll find are near Old Appaloosa.”

“What so bad about Old Appaloosa?” He asked looking at everyone.

“It’s place for Raiders and Slavers to sell anypony or anything there.”

“Hmmm… I see, okay new plan we kill everyone there.” He said with a mad grin.

“That would be a good plan for Vanessa.” Said littlepip with a smile.

“HEY!”

“But we can’t at the moment.”

 Asphyxious then grind at them. “Do you know who I am? I am Asphyxious Hellbringer, Lich Lord of the frozen north, King to the Diamond dogs, Devourer of Everblight. Just let me loss on that place and everything inside is as good as dead.” He said with a hungry smile.

“You haven’t seen the monsters around here have you?”

“Bitch I eat dragons.” He said with a smile and a wild look in his eye.

 

“...........Should I tell?”

“Tell him what?” Asked Vanessa.

“While you guys were busy with your baths, our former slaver friend info formed me about them having a Dalamadur there.”

“Cool, I want to eat it.”  Asphyxious said with that hungry look again.

“Do you even know what a Dalamadur is?”

“It sounds deadly and I want to kill it that all I need.” He said as he pulled out his cutlass. “Onward to battle!” He calls out then runs off.  Before he could make towards the door, Samantha tackled him to the ground.

“No! My one weakness being tackled!” He said waving his tail around.

“Take a look at him dumbass.” Samantha said as she showed him the picture of what it looks like.

 Asphyxious looks at it for a long time. “I want one.” He said with big eyes.

“We’re trying to save the ponies inside the place, not try to fight something can eat both Celestia and Luna in one gulp.” Littlepip said.

“That not really that hard I know my friend Dox could do it… Oh wait you mean. Never mind.”  Asphyxious said waving it off.

“Yeah tha’st why I tackled you idiot.”

“Sorry I just had this overwhelming need to fight something.” He said rubbing his face. “Being part dragon sucks!”

“Anyway we need to make sure that thing doesn’t wake and attack us. Faust knows this plan might go south if we don’t be careful about this.” Said Littlepip as she looks at everyone. “That goes for you as well Vanessa.”

“Why me?”

“Because you have the tendency to do something rash or bold.” Said Samantha.

“Name one time I did that?”

“Does the train incident ring a bell?”

“.......It turned out okay.”

“You have to tell me how that went Sam.” Asphyxious asked with a smile.

“Oh it would of gone well if my cellphone didn’t go off while we were sneaking onto the train to free the ponies on it.”

“Why didn’t you turn it off?” He said with a raised eyebrow.  

“Well I didn’t think that my phone would work seeing how I couldn’t get a signal on it.”

“Can we please get to the task at hand?” Asked Silver Heart. “Aren’t we suppose to think of a plan to free the ponies inside Old Appaloosa?”

“I can get in and out without been seen.” Asphyxious said with a smile.

“Good...but that could be a problem if you can’t get Faust knows how many ponies out of there.” Sunny said as she jotted down some notes. “Plus even if you did, some of the ponies might not be able to survive teleporting if you do have that ability.”

“Judging by the way they been treating the ponies there, I doubt it. Which is why we’re going to use the train that you four stoled to transport them here.”

“So… We’re going to pull a borderlands train ride right? sounds fun.” Said Asphyxious as he rest his sword on his shoulder.

“Pretty much yeah.” Vanessa answered. “While you guys get the ponies out, Littlepip and I will be causing a lot of chaos to get their attention while you grab and run.”

“I’m sure that will make Discord happy.” Said Asphyxious with a grin.

“Discord’s dead as well.” Sunny said bluntly.

“Never mind.” He said with a grumble.

“Okay so while you two take care of the Raiders and Slavers, Samantha, Asphyxious and I will free and get the slave ponies into the train.”

“But what about the Dalamadur?” Asked Silver Heart.

“If it wakes up and attack us…….we haul flank and run.”

“Sometimes the old ways are the best.” Said Asphyxious as he laughs a little at that.

“Okay so we have a plan. Operation Freedom Unite will begin tomorrow, so be prepare to head out. Also be prepare for and don’t let your guard down.”

“I’m going to see if Sister can open a portal and send some warjacks over.” Said Asphyxious as he turn on his echo and talks to a holo window that pops up.

“We’re trying not to wake the dragon up.”

“I’m not trying to bring an army… Just one or two.” Said Asphyxious as he make the holo window smaller.

“How big are they?” Vanessa asked.

“Tall as my Lich form which is taller than this room.” He said as he talks to what looks like a pink dragon on the holo.

“No.” Sunny said with an annoyed look on her face.

“Don’t worry I have ones that are no taller than Van and Sam.” He said and waved at something on the holo.

“Who is that on the screen?” Samantha asked.

“My horde mate’s Sister and Chrysalis as well as my daughter Pupa.” He said with a smile. “Want to talk to them Sam?”

“Um….sure?” Sam goes over and looks at the holo screen then see what looks like a bug like pony waving at her.

“Hi I’m Pupa are you one of daddy's friends?” Said the anthro changeling on the holo.  

“Um….Yes…..wow never expected you to have a family Mark.”

“It kind of happened.” Asphyxious said with a light laugh.

“So this is the daughter of Chrysalis? Never imagine seeing one of Equestria’s third greatest enemy from another word.” Said Sunny Day.

“Hey are you saying mean things about my mommy.” Said Pupa puffing up her face.

“No, no I’m just surprised to see a mix breed before. Nothing against your mother or anything, though in this world she’s pretty much dead from what I heard.”

The changeling child just turn her head to one said. “Mommy not dead she right here.” Than the scene moves to Chrysalis who was also anthro. “Please try not inform us about what has happened to your worlds… I don’t not want to find out what my other self did or what happened to their hive.”

“Fine I won’t.”

Asphyxious smiles and sigh. “So you can’t send me any warjacks, not ever Cankerworm?” He asked.

“Sorry sweetie but Kat said they was going to take more time getting that mana battery installed then she thought.” Said Chrysalis then she smiles. “Come home soon I want to make more brood~” Asphyxious blushes as the changeling queen put her bust to the screen and the holo turn off.

“Make more brood?” Vanessa said with devilish grin on her face.

Asphyxious rubs the back of his head blushing. “We kind of had 20 more kids and she want me to help make more.” He said rubbing his head.

“So she’s the butch and you’re the bitch in the relationship?”

“Only when we’re not in bed.” He said with a smile. “I also have Sister to deal with who is now pregnant and another Displaced who I kind of added to my horde.”  

“......This makes me feel so glad I’m not into dudes.”

“Technically the displaced used to be a guy but not anymore.” Asphyxious said rubbing his head with that goofy smile.

“Seriously?”

“He was displaced as Gagie from borderlands.” He said looking at them.

“Damn…..sucks to be him huh?”

“Don’t know I should make a call to her after this.” Asphyxious said taping his chin with a grin on his face.

“It’s up to you, but for now I’m gonna get some sleep before we head out tomorrow.”

Asphyxious looks at the beds then at the others. “So…..who do I bunk with?” He asked looking at them all. “Or do you want to send me home and you can summon me when you're ready?”

“Best you stay here, we don’t know if you’ll be available if you leave.”

“Okay….so Sam, is it okay if we share?” He asks awkwardly.

“......No. Reason why it’s because I’m bunking with Sunny, and the last we bunk we got into a fight due to your snoring.”

“I don’t snore.” He said blinking at her.

“Oh yes you do, which caused us to fight with each other in the middle of the night.”

Asphyxious sigh as he looks at them all. “So where do I sleep?” He asked looking at everyone.

“You’ll be bunking with Silver Heart next to you.” Sunny said pointing at the pony next Asphyxious.

Asphyxious looks at him as he looks at the half dragon. “Fuck it, I’m going Lich all night I’ll see you when you wake up.” He said walking out the room.

“I’m starting to regret meeting you all.” Said Silver Heart.

“Well it suck to be you then huh?” Said Littlepip.

Chapter 6: Good-Bye

(The Next Day)

        Morning has just arrived in New Appaloosa, well it would of arrived if the clouds weren’t covering the sky. But you get the idea of what I ment, anyway the town was beginning to flood with ponies of different sizes and ages. So far nothing seem to be out of the ordinary….well the one thing that stands out was this small tower of black smoke that lead to the Iron Lich himself reading a book. Most of the ponies in Appaloosa stayed as far away from the lich as the fire in his furnas burn. But the children played around the lich and on him without any fear as he reads.

“Well I see someone is enjoying himself.” Said Sunny walking up towards the lich.

Asphyxious looks up with his skull like head and nods at her. “Just reading to pass the time. I have no need for sleep in this form as you can see.” He then carefully with one of his clawed hands picks up a filly off from his back and put her back on the ground.

“I could tell seeing how some of the little fillies and colts are using you to either play on or sleep on.”

He nods at that and laughs a little. “They remind me of Pupa when she would just sit with me or sleep on my lap as I would work back in the den.” He said as he careful where and how he moves.

“Yeah most of these little ponies lost their parents from raiders, born without one, or just abandon.”

“That to bad.” Said Asphyxious as he looks at them.

“Yeah a sad fate for them in this hellhole. Anyway just wanted to let you know the others are awake if you want to head back inside.”

“Okay.” He said and get up then walk off to meet up with the others.

[Science Department]

“I don’t see why I have to take this radaway stuff.” Said Vanessa smelling the strange orange substance. “It smells like something you get from a bootleg hobo.”

“It’s Radaway Vanessa.” Said the minotaur scientist. “It get’s rid of any radiation that you may have come into contact with. Only downside to it it has a salty aftertaste”

Asphyxious walks in his human form and stop when he see the needle in the minotaur hand. “...” He then slowly backs away from them.

“Get in there you pansy.” Sunny said as she kick Asphyxious into the room. He cry out as his face hit the floor.

“Damn you.” He said as he get back up and his eyes widen. “Oh no you’re not coming near me with that.”

“Relax stupid Professor Blue Stone isn’t going to hurt you, he’s just getting a blood sample from Vanessa and Samantha.”

“NO!” He screams and try to run out of the room past Sunny. “You're not taking MY blood!”

“......What was that?” Asked Littlepip as she walked into the room.

“A idiot that’s afraid of needles.” Said Sam with a deep sigh.

“I get the feeling he’s gonna be like that everytime he see’s a needle.” Said Vanessa.

“Yep.”

“Should one of us go after him?” Littlepip asked.

“We’ll get him after getting our gear and armor upgraded. So can we have our stuff back or what?”

“Your stuff is in the locker over there next to the closet. I have to say the material that you gave was very interesting to say the least.” Blue Stone said as he examining the a monster’s scale. “To think that there were monsters who scales are stronger than a dragon’s scales.”

“Yeah you be surprised at how strong some of the monster scales are. Hey Littlepip, mind if I have a look at that thing on your wrist if you don’t mind?”

“Why do you need to see my pipbuck for?”

“Just wanted to do a little upgrading that’s all.”

“Since when are you an expert in technology?” Asked Samantha.

“I took a few robotic engineering classes in High School, so if you don’t mind I would like to see her pipbuck please.”

“......Fine.” Littlepip horn started to glow as she took her pipbuck off and handed it to Vanessa. “You better not break it or anything, because that’s the only one I have seeing how I could bring anything else with me before I left the stable.”

“Oh come on this me you’re talking about, when have I ever done anything that would break something?”

“What about that time I gave you that gameboy?” Said Sam with a knowing smile.

“.........Shut up.”

(Rooftop)

Asphyxious was looking out with a careful eye for Sam and her friends to show up. As well as for anyone who looks like a doctor with a needle in hand. He always hated those things he can’t remember why.

“Seriously? You run off to the rooftop after seeing a needle?” Samantha said as she walked next to Asphyxious.

Asphyxious looks at her and sigh. “Hey I don’t know why I hate them so much? I just do.” He said looking over the town. “Wish I could do more for them, you know.”

“Not much you can do for them really, this place is a wasteland that can’t be brought back from the brink of destruction.”

“The whole world can’t be like this right? I mean there has to be places better than this.” Asphyxious asked.

“It’s kinda hard to explore the world when you can’t even leave Equestria, not to mention with all the raiders and slavers around you won’t last long out here.”

“Add to that you have monsters to deal with to.” Asphyxious said as he looks at her. “So we ready to go?”

“Yeah we’re ready to go…...I have a request I want you to do.”

“Okay what?” He asks.

Samantha reached into her pocket and tossed a well wrapped item to Asphyxious. “I want you to give this to Vanessa when the time is right.” Asphyxious looks at it and unwraps it. “Inside it is a box of homemade cookies and a letter for her to have.”

Asphyxious wraps it back up and looks at her. “Why are you giving this to me?” He asked.

“Just encase I forget, I was always forgetful when it comes to giving something important to someone.”

Asphyxious smiles a ther and poke her in the ribs. “Hey now don’t talk like that I’ll give this back to you and make you give it to her okay.” He said with a big smile.

“Thanks, but you hold on to it and give it to her when the time is right.”

“Don’t get yourself killed now, I may be a Lich but I’m not going to put you through being brought back okay? It hurts like hell.” He said calmly.

“Relax, this is me you’re talking about. I’m pretty much shooting from a long distance so I won’t get killed by someone.”

“I could send one of my ghosts to keep an eye on you if you like, Abby a sweetheart.” He said as he get up.

“Look I know you care about me and all, but don’t worry about me okay? This wouldn’t be the only time I did something like this.”

“Okay… I’ll try. But if things go wrong just call alright.”

“I will. Now come on, Vanessa and the others are waiting for you downstairs to go over the battle plan.” Asphyxious nods at her as they go down to meet the others.

(Moment later)

[Slaver Train]

“Okay so you all know the plan right?” Sunny asked.

Asphyxious nods at her as he get both his shotgun and SMG ready for the rade. “Just getting my gear ready.” He said as he picks up his cutlass and it give off a glow.

“Okay, Littlepip and Vanessa will cause a commotion in the center of the place. Samantha and Silver Heart will go in from the side and snipe anypony that are attacking from a long distance, and Asphyxious and I will search inside and get any slaves out of there.”

“If all else fails I can raise the dead to give us an opening to get out.” Asphyxious said as he stand up.

“We’re trying not to make as much noise as possible.”

“Only if the plan fails will I do that.” He said calmly the walks over to Silver Heart. “You any good with that?”

“I been out here in the wasteland for the past 30 years, I’m pretty sure I’m good with this.”

“Okay could you do me a favor and look after those two for me. Once this is done I’ll have to go back home and I don’t feel right leaving them by themselves.” Asphyxious said as he looks at him.

“I make no promises, but I’ll try if we survive this.”

“Sure we will, after all we’re all badasses here.” Asphyxious laughed as he walks away from the pony. Asphyxious then go into the other cars and sommunds two of his ghost. “Banjo, Abby I need you two to stay hidden and keep an eye on the two Displaced for me okay.”

“Sure can boss, I’ll keep my eyes on them.” Said Banjo as fades away. The one called Abby nods at Asphyxious then smiles as she fades away as well.  

“Look alive ladies!” Yelled Vanessa as she summoned her long sword. “We’re getting close to Old Appaloosa!”

“Now the real fun starts.” Said Asphyxious as he held his SMG in hand standing next to Sunny Day.

“Remember stick to the plan and don’t lower your guard.”

“Ya we know.” Said Silver heart annoyed as he stopped the train before they reached Appaloosa. “You’re saying that we might buck up or something?”

“After being around other ponies that don’t listen, you can’t expect me not to repeat myself.”

“Anyway we can’t bring the train any closer otherwise they’ll just take our only means of escape.”

“Lets get going then.” Said Asphyxious as he opens a door and hops out.

(Old Appaloosa)

        What was used to be a town filled with both ponies and buffalos that used to work together was not a place for Slavers and Raiders to hangout at. Old Appaloosa was nothing more than an empty shell of a city, what with it having somewhat wrecked building, off railed box cars, and metal structures that hold slaves in cages hanging off of them or next them. It didn’t really help them either since it was raining heavy outside. One slaver guard who was not paying attention to what was around him. Felt a gahlot hand cover his mouth as a blade into his back and out of his chest. The slaver could not scream as the light in his eyes slowly faded.

“So where would they keep the slaves Sunny?” Asphyxious asked as he carefully pulled the dead pony off to one side and put the body in a dumpster. “I’m pretty good at this cloak and dagger stuff huh?”

“Mostly outside and inside.” She said looking around the corner to make sure nopony was there.

“That won’t make this easy on us.” He said wiping the blade on his trousers.

“Which is why I had Vanessa and Littlepip act like decoys to get everypony’s attention.”

“Okay but where do we go from here?” He asked looking around. “This places looks pretty dead to me.”

“For the time being we’ll keep them in the train cars until we can make more room for them in New Appaloosa. That or let them live in the train or move them into Diamond Dog Town.”

“There a town of Diamond dogs? Cool.” Said Asphyxious as the carefully move deeper into the town.

“I wasn’t so thrilled about that, that is until we met the new king of the town.”

“Interesting.” He said calmly as looks down a street. “Can’t see anyone but there two in the bar and five in the building over there.” Asphyxious said pointing at two buildings with no windows.

“Anyone guarding them?”

“Doesn’t look like it, but something wrong. It looks like most of these buildings are empty.” He said looking around.

“What do you mean empty?”

“As in no one living in them. If this place is a slave town then we should see more than this and hear it. It almost like a ghost town out here.” Said Asphyxious as they both carefully cross the street.

“Hm…..Either this a trap or Van and Pip are doing a hell of a job as decoys.”

“Then why aren’t we hearing any fighting?” Asphyxious asked. “Could something else have happened you guys don’t know about?”

“Like what? Unless there was somepony or something that could of taken them out then I don’t know what else that can do this.”

Asphyxious nods at this and looks down a road. “Let just get the slaves and get out. We’ll worry about where the Slaver’s went later.” He said as they make there way down the road.

“*Sniff Sniff* You smell something?” Asked Sunny Day.

Asphyxious stop and sniffs the air. “Ya… What is that?” He asked looking around.

“It almost smell like-.” Before she could finish her statement both her and Asphyxious heard a loud roar pierce through the sound of rain falling and thunder. “That can’t be good.” She said

 

“I take it don’t rain a lot out here?” Asphyxious asked pulling out his cutlass. That when they saw Vanessa and Littlepip run around a corner then past them.

“OUT OF THE WAY CHAOTIC GORE MAGALA & GREEN PONY WITH A HORN & WINGS ARE AFTER US!!”

“What the fuck did she just say?” Asked Asphyxious as he blinks at this as they ran away.

“Um, we might want to hide. LIKE NOW!” Sunny Day said as she pushed Asphyxious into an empty build as the Chaos Gore Magala ran past them.

“Okay… What was that.” He asked again laying on the floor with Sunny on top of him.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

“Chaotic Gore Magala.” Sunny answered showing him a picture of it in the monster hunter book. “Despite the unique name, Chaotic Gore Magala is actually just a normal Gore Magala which has been traumatized or otherwise interrupted during the process of molting into a Shagaru Magala. As a result, only half of one side of its body has fully molted. Because of its improper molting process, it is left looking like an amalgamation of Shagaru Magala and Gore Magala.

“So we found out what happened to the slaver’s then huh?” Asphyxious asked as he get up. “So do we help or stick to the plan?”

“Stick to the plan, after we get the ponies out we’ll help out in taking out that monster.”

“Okay.” He said and go back outside. “I just hope everyone stay out of trouble.”

“I’m sure they’ll be fine.”

(Vanessa & Littlepip Third person)

“DAMMIT! WHO’S IDEA WAS IT FOR US TO BE THE DECOYS!?

“IT WAS YOUR DUMB PLAN!” Yelled Littlepip as she keeps running.

“Oh…..right…..WELL I DIDN’T THINK THIS WOULD HAPPEN TO US!”

“THIS ALWAYS HAPPENS TO US!”

“GET BACK HERE YOU LITTLE WORMS!!!” Yelled the dark green alicorn who was riding on the Chaotic Gore Magala.

“Well now what do we do!?” Vanessa asked as she and Littlepip made a hard right turn. “We can’t just keep running for long.”

“We need some way to fight that thing. Don’t you have anything to slow it down?” Asked Littlepip.

“Give me a second.” Vanessa said as she looked around to see if there was something to slow the monster down or kill it. Just as she did she notice some of the boxcar hanging from sturdy, but weak chains. “I have an Idea.” She said as she pulled out a throwing knife.

Littlepip looks up and pulled out her shotgun. “I see what your planning, will it work?” She asked as the monster was getting closer.

“It’s better than anything we have planned.” Vanessa said as she threw a knife at the hanging box cart they were running under causing it to fall. “Now keep running!”

“I’m not stopping!” Yells Littlepip as she keeps up with Vanessa. Without even looking behind them, they heard a loud crashing/bone crushing sound from behind them.

“Did it work?” Asked Littlepip as she kept running.

“Don’t know, but we better hide if that monster is knocked out.” Just as they made a left turn, Vanessa grabbed Littlepip by the waist and rolled into an abandon building. Upon entering the building the due hid underneath a table with a cloth covering it. “Well at least we know what happen to most of the ponies here.”

“What do you mean?” Asked Littlepip as she looks up at Vanessa.

“You didn’t notice how quiet it was when we were looking around?”

“Well…” Said Littlepip as she thinks about that.

“Wow and Samantha says I don’t pay attention to details.”

“S-Shut up…..can you let me go now?” She asked with a blush.

“Oh….um….sure, sorry about that.” Vanessa released her grip on Littlepip. “Okay I guess finding your friend Velvet Remedy might be harder than I thought.”

“Yeah, but we have other things to worry about.”

“You mean the Chaotic Gore Magala or that crazy pony with a horn and wings?”

“Both and that pony was an alicorn if I remember the story’s.” Said Littlepip as she looked out side.

“Well that good to know what that thing was. So is the coast cleared?”

“I think so… But i get the feeling if we go outside we’ll be attacked again.”

“What makes you think it won’t attack us while we’re in here?”

“Well think about it. If that was true, then wouldn’t this place be in ruinings by now?” She asked looking outside.

“.......Good point.”

“Not only that shouldn’t we see more ponies running around and slaves screaming in fear?”

“Again good point.” Vanessa pulled herself up from under the table as she walked near the door.

“Wait, I just thought of something. One pony alone riding a monster wouldn't make all the Slavers and Raiders leave this place. They would do everything in there power to take them down so where are they?”

“That or she’s their leader and gone crazy with power.”

“That to…”

“..............I’m heading outside, you take the rooftop and snipe it so I’ll know it’s coming.”

“Got it.” Said Littlepip as she heads to the roof.

With her hand on her long sword, Vanessa rushed out into the middle of the street. Just as she made it outside she notice that the body of the Chaotic Gore Magala was still crushed under the cart that Vanessa made to land on it.

“Well what do we have here?” Called a voice from above her.

“I’m surprised that you were able to avoid the boxcar that landed on you pet.” Vanessa said looking up at the sickly green alicorn floating above her. “Guess you’re a lot smarter than most raiders.”

“Raiders? Is that who you think we are? Don’t make me laugh we’re nothing like that scum.” The Alicorn said with a smile. “And my pet is not so weak as you think.”

“Unless your pet is able to survive a heavy blow to the head, then it would seem you’re pretty much all alone.” Said Vanessa but then notices the alicorn horn start to glow. Then the Chaotic Gore Magala growl as it slowly start to get up.

“.......Fuck, didn’t see that coming.”

The monster growled as it get up and looks at Vanessa bearing it teeth. “Want to know how I came across this dragon?” Said the Green Alicorn as she lands on it back.

“Let me guess, you bought him from a bunch of raiders or something?”

“No I found him dying in the wasteland badly hurt. I know how to heal with my magic and sadly it the only magic I know how to use, but this dragon now helps me after I helped him. With his power I now have nothing to fear in this deathtrap anymore.” She said sounding proud.  

“With this dragon by my side I have nothing to fear from anypony! Not even that worthless pony Red Eye!”

“..........” Not even saying a word, Vanessa slowly turned around and began running off.

“...Hey… HEY! GET BACK HERE!” Yelled the Green Alicorn as the Chaotic Gore ran after her.

“Samantha where the hell are you!?”

(Samantha’s location)

“D-Dammit.” Samantha said as she was staggering against the wall from her injury she got from Silver Heart.

“Sorry about that love, didn’t think the git would turn on ya.” Said the ghostly Diamond dog as he reloads his pistols.  

“Y-You have nothing to be sorry about.” She said as she coughed up some blood. “I just never thought he would turn on me during this quickly.”

“Too right I do Asphyxious is going to lose his shit when he hear about this.” Said Banio as he go over to her and looks at her wound. “Is it bad?”  

“.......Let’s just focus on finding Vanessa and the others.”

“No what we need to do is get ya some help. I hate to say it but you’re in no shape to be moving around, I’ll call Abby and she will get the boss okay? I’m sure he can help ya…” Said Banjo as he looks at the blood.

“.......Fine.” She said as she pulled her bowgun up Banjo let out a ghostly howl into the air before keeping an eye on Sam. “Sorry about this.” She said as she hit Banjo with a paralyze bullet.

“W-what the, how did ya?” Banjo asked as he tried to move.

“While Mark wasn’t looking I took a sample of his lich form and had the boys in the lab to make me some bullets that can hit ghosts like you.”

“Heh, ya chicky girl… Shoulda known this would happen at some point. Anything you want me to pass on before ya go? This is going to break his heart ya know?” Asked Banjo as he sit there.

“........The effects should wear off in about a few minutes or so, but if you do see him tell him to give Vanessa the thing I gave him.”

Banjo sigh as she left. “I hate sad endings.” He said to himself.

“Please…..just let me make it in time before it’s too late.”

(Flash back to a few minutes earlier)

“Alright Silver Heart, all we have to do is kill anyone that’s sniping. Shouldn’t be that hard to do seeing how it’s just the two of us.” Samantha said as she took up a sniping position on an abandon building rooftop.

“Yeah should be easy.” Said Silver Heart.

“Hey, you okay? You been really quiet since the train ride.”

“It nothing, just that friend of yours said to keep you and Vanessa safe.”

“Ugh, I really wish Mark would stop worrying about me like that. I mean it’s not like I’m gonna get killed by somepony out here…..well besides the raiders, slavers, and monsters.”

“I wouldn’t say that.”

“What do you-” Before she could finish asking, Samantha heard a gunshot and felt a sharp pain in her chest.

“Oh will you look at that, it seem I was too late to stop some slaver that shot you.” Said Silver with a twisted smile.

“S-Silver? B-But why?”

“Oh come on, you think somepony can stay alive out here without being a good liar? Now that just stupid, I was never on your side. All I did was tell you what you wanted to hear. Now I can go back to the others and tell them the sad story of how you stay behind to save the little slaves.”

“B-But aren’t we friends?” Samantha asked as she fell to the ground gripping her chest.

“HA! Friends? No not at all, there no making friends out here it just kill or be killed human.”Just as Silver Heart was about to shoot Samantha again, they both heard a click.

“Good to know my boss won't feel guilty about taking ya soul.” Said a mysterious voice as it  made Silver Heart head explode into pieces.

“D-Damn, and Sunny Day really like…..him.”

“You need to get inside love. No telling if his mates are around.” Said Banjo as he keep a look out.

“Yeah *cough, cough* let’s get inside.” Samantha said as she limped her way inside the building.

“Damn, Asphyxious is not gonna like this.”

(End of flashback)

“Please…...don’t let it end like this.”

(Vanessa and Littlepip)

*CRASH!!!*

“Keep running Pip! Asphyxious may have the the dragon distracted, but we need to deal with this crazy pony!”

“I am running, but I’m running out of steam here if you haven’t notice!”Littlepip said as she dodged an oncoming magic beam from behind. “Faust that was close!”

“DAMMIT WHY WON’T YOU JUST DIE!?” Vanessa yelled as she jumped over a dead body of a pony.

“STOP RUNNING AND DIE LIKE THE BANDITS YOU ARE!” Yelled the Alicorn.

“We’re not bandits, we’re heroes that are freeing the slaves you been keeping!”

“Stop lieing to me! There no such thing as heroes!”

“Well you’re looking at two that are you mutant freak!” Littlepip said as she fired at the Alicorn only for her to summon up a barrier to protect herself. “Dammit! I thought she said she can only heal?”

“Well apparently she was lying about that seeing how she keeps shooting at us with beams of death.” As the duo made their way through town, they heard what sounded like a dog howling.

“What the hell was that?”

“Sounded like a Dog howling?” Said Littlepip.

“I doubt it could be a dog.” Vanessa said as she pulled out another throwing knife and threw it at the alicorn’s left eye when she wasn’t looking. “Ha! Finally I hit you!”

The Alicorn gritted her teeth as she pulled the knife out of her eye and looked at Vanessa in hate. “I am going to KILL YOU!”

“Did you just buck up?” Littlepip asked as she started to back away.

“WHEN I’M DONE WITH YOU YOUR HEADS WILL BE MOUNTED OVER MY FIREPLACE!”

“I might have fucked up yes…….we better run.” Just as the duo were about to make a run for it, the alicorn’s horn started to glow as she shot at the hanging box car to block their escape route. “Shit not good.”

The boxcar fell and blocked their path. “Now you're trapped like rats!” Said the Alicorn with a smile. “Dragon Kill them!” She screamed.  

That when they then hear a dieing roar as the monster fell from one of the buildings covered in cuts. That when they heard a voice. “I don’t have time to deal with a little shit like YOU!” They looked up to see Asphyxious covered in blood.

“What took you so long to get here!?”

“Hey I had to cut through everyone who got in my way!... Wait, Abby did you howl!” He calls out and the ghostly Diamond Dog appeared next to Littlepip and shakes her head no.

“Wait you know what made that sound?”

“It was ever Banjo or Abby, but seeing she here and didn’t that means…” He stop and his eye fills with worry. “Sam…”

“Y-You killed my pet.” Asphyxious looks at the Alicorn and narrows his eye at her. “I’ll make you pay for what you did to it monster.”

“Please. I’ll say this much you're right I am a monster, the most feared kind of monster. A monster with no remorse.” He said coldly and start walking. “I have other things to worry about so I won’t play with you.”

“Don’t you dare turn your back on me you freak! You think you can just walk away from me!?”

“Yes because you're weaker than me.” Said Asphyxious as he start looking for Sam.

“HOW DARE YOU CALL ME WEAK!” The alicorn’s horn started to glow as she aimed it at the lich. “Well then seeing how you’re calling me weak I might as well take care of the weaklings to show you how powerful I am!” She then turned her attention towards Vanessa as she fired a magical beam of magic at the human huntress. Asphyxious turned after she fired drawing his cutlass ready to run and try to stop the attack. Before the spell could hit Vanessa, she was pushed out of the way of the attack by a familiar huntress with a bowgun. Time seemed to have slowed down as Vanessa turned around to see Samantha pushing her out of the way with a smile on her face.

“I’m sorry.”

His eye widens at what he saw next. “No…” Asphyxious said as he watched Samantha fall to the floor.

“S-Samantha?” Vanessa said as she slowly walked towards her fallen friend.  

“Wow. I was trying to kill the brown mutant monkey, but I guess that’ll do for now.”

A tower of blue fire explodes from Asphyxious as he give off a horror filled roar. “I AM GOING TO KILL YOU!” The air fills with magic as the very ground  itself give way. He transforms into His Lich form in all it horror and glory.  

“I WILL MAKE YOU SUFFER!” He screamed as he teleported up to the Alicorn and ripped her horn from her head.

“Whoa!” Littlepip said in both fear and amazement. “He ripped through that barrier like it was nothing.”

“I WILL BRING YOU ANGNEY!” He roars as he grabs both her wings breaking the bones in his grasp and pulls them from her back.

“Dear Faust, I’m think I’m going to be sick.”

Asphyxious then grabs the Alicorn throat and held her up to his skull like face. “YOU TOOK FROM ME SOMEONE THAT I CAN NEVER GET BACK! AND FOR THAT I’M GOING TO KILL YOU!” He screams as his metal claws go titer around the pony neck before there was a snapping sound then her neck explodes in blood and gore.

“T-That was something I didn’t want to see when coming back.” Said Sunny Day walking out of a broken building.

Asphyxious didn’t move as he looked into the dead eyes of the pony in his claws serving with hate. Everyone could feel it coming from him as he held the dead body up. “I’m going to kill you again…” He said darkly as he drops the body.

“Hear me, I’m going to bring you back and kill you AGAIN!” He roars at the dead body.

“THAT’S ENOUGH!!!” Yelled Vanessa as she punched Asphyxious in the face. He slowly looks at her as the tears run down her face. “You have magic right? Then help Samantha then instead of wasting time with this freak.”

Asphyxious looked at her in horror. “Oh god, you’re right.” He quickly go over to Sam and start to try and heal the damage.

“It’s not going to work.” Said Sunny Day looking over the damage done to Samantha.

“Shut up.” Said Asphyxious as he try to heal Samantha wounds.

 

“It’s not going to work because she’s been shot in her vital areas.”

Asphyxious transform back to his human form and punches Sunny in the face. “SHUT UP!” He go back. “I’m going to save her life she going to be okay damnit!” Tears run down his face as he works.

“LOOK AT HER IDIOT!” Sunny Day said as she recovered from her punch to the face. “You and I both know that the wounds on her can’t be healed with magic.”

Asphyxious grits his teeth trying to think of a way to save her. “Everblight…” He said softly then start yelling. “Everblight you hear me you stupid dragon! Save her life and I’m yours, I’ll follow your every order just save her please!”

“D-Don’t.” Samantha said while coughing up a huge amount of blood. “Don’t…...be an idiot….you idiot….”

Asphyxious looks down at her as tears fall from his face. “I can’t lose you… I just found out I have some family left you can’t go….” He said as he held her in his arms. “Please don’t go....”

“*Cough, Cough* I don’t know who this everblight is, but…….but if…..if you do….w-what will happen t-to your family back home?”

Asphyxious just looks at her as he try to hold in his pain and sorrow. He just hugs her and cries. “Please don’t go....”

“........I’m sorry…….you know I don’t have long to live.” Samantha reached out to Asphyxious’s face. “You know what to do when I’m gone.” Asphyxious nods at her as he looks into her eyes.

“S-Samantha?” Vanessa said trying to hold back her tears. “Y-You idiot, why the hell did you do that? Your job was to keep an eye out for any snipers not to get yourself killed protecting me.”

“Hehe…..guess I fucked up huh? S-Sorry, but someone had to look out for you…*Cough, Cough* you were always not that aware of your surrounding.”

“I told you when we met, to never do that stupid human shield crap for me! Why don’t you ever listen to me?”

“........Guess I’m an idiot…...to the….very…..end.” With her final say Samantha closed her eyes as darkness soon consumed her vision. Asphyxious let it all out as he cried the pain he was feeling in side.

“...........We’re leaving.” Said Vanessa as she began to pick up the dead body of her dear friend.

“.....Not… Yet…” Asphyxious said through grited teeth as he wipes his face and looks at Vanessa. “I’m burning this place to the ground first… That okay with you?”

“Do what you want with this place….when you’re done meet us at the train.”

“...Thank you…” He turned back into his Lich form and give the order to his Bane Knights. To burn Old Appaloosa to the ground.

(Moments later)

“Welcome back.” Sunny said as she was waiting outside the train with an ice pack on her face.

Asphyxious gets out first and helps Littlepip lift something wrapped up out of the train. “Where should we put her pip.” Asphyxious asked his voice sounding hollow.

“Vanessa wants her body to be cremated.”

“Okay get some wood please, I’ll keep an eye on her.”

“She said she’s going to use the train engine to it.”

“Oh…okay. Can you…Look after Sam for me.” He rubs his eye as he get back on the train. “I’ll be back.”  

“Where are you going?”

“To talk with Vanessa.” He said as he go in the train car.

“Judging by the way she looks, she might be in the bar area of the train.”

Asphyxious walks down the train cars till he finds Vanessa. She was in the bar part of the train car. “Room for one more.” He asked. Vanessa said nothing as she was lost staring at her drink. Asphyxious go up and start to pour himself a glass as he sit next to her. He looks at the glass then just drinks straight from the bottle. He coughed at the drink as it burned his throat. “Fuck…” He said as he rest his head on the bar.

“.............”

“Two fucking years. I don’t even know if I really am this Mark guy, I was…” He take another drink. “If I knew…..Fuck!” He hits his head on the bar and start to cry. “What the fuck am I anymore!” He sniffs and try to get himself under control.

“Pretty much the grim reaper in some cases.”

He laughs bitterly at that. “Don’t mean I have to like it.” Asphyxious then pulls out the cookies that Sam gave him. “She…...wanted you to have this.” He put them on the bar and slides them to Vanessa.

“What is it?”

Asphyxious laughs a little as he wipes a tear away from his face. “Cookies.” He said and looks at her. “She said they were homemade…there’s a note too, don’t know what it say.”

 “I’ll look at it later…...thanks.” Vanessa said as she reached for the item and placed it in her pocket.

“This… Is the first time I’ve seen a Displaced die. I knew we could I just…..I didn’t think it would be of someone who was part of my old life.” He said as he take another drink.

“You might want to head back home, you family must be worry about you being gone for this long.”

“I will, after we’ve seen to Sam, then I’ll go home.” Asphyxious as he wipes his face.

 

“You can if you want. I already said my parting words, so you best say yours before I cremate her.”

“The worst part is I don’t know what to say.” Asphyxious put a hand over his face. “What do you say when you can’t even remember the ones closest to you.” He take a deep breath. “I just, I wanted to know more. I wanted for her to meet Pupa and watch them play.” He said as tears run down his face.

 

“There’s nothing left to do now, but to move on really.” Vanessa said as she pulled out a cigar and begins to smoke it. “If we let depression hit us, then that would make Samantha mad.”

“I’m bad when it come to losing someone, like this old dog we had. When it died I cried and cried.” He smiled sadly at that. “I don’t even know how I remember that…”

“............Here.” Vanessa reached into her other pocket and tossed a plush of Samantha at Asphyxious. He looked at and slowly pick it up then cried again holding it.

“Thank you.” He said as he sit there.

“Keep it, Samantha made me two by accident so I figure you need the second one more than I do.”

Asphyxious take a breath as he calm down. “Thank you… I think I’m good now.” He said as he get up. “You ready.”

“Yeah….I am.” She said as she called Littlepip over to bring the body to the engine room. “I’ll be patrolling the area to make sure no one attacks us.”

“Sure you don’t want to say some words before we start?” Asphyxious asked as he looks at Vanessa.

“I already said my parting words to her while you were burning the town to ashes. I’m pretty okay on my end.

“Okay.” Said Asphyxious as he looks at the fire. “I Didn’t know her long, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t family. I felt when I met her things just clicked, like meeting an old friend you haven’t seen for a long time. Where ever she is now, I hope she stay out of trouble. The last thing I need is to bail her out of it.”

He smiled a little at that. “I guess for me no matter how short our meeting was. You were family to me, I won’t forget you. Hey, I think I’ll name one of my kids after you once there born. Goodbye Sam I won’t forget you.”  

“Goodbye to you to…..Mark.”

Asphyxious stopped to look behind himself to see if someone was there, only to see nothing but the barren wastelands.

“Hey you okay?” Asked Littlepip.

“It… Fine.” He said with a smile as a tear run down his check. “We just said our goodbyes.”

Chapter 7: My Last Stardust

        After the cremation of Samantha’s body and the explanation of the multiverse, displaced, and tokens. Asphyxious made his way back home leaving his token to Vanessa encased she ever needed someone to talk to or for help if she ever go herself into any life threatening situation. Moments later after the three heroes part ways with Asphyxious. Vanessa, Littlepip, and Sunny Day make their way down the mountain with the slaves they rescued from Old Appaloosa.  

(Train)

“How’s Vanessa hold out?” Asked Littlepip treating to one of the slave pony’s injuries.

“Not so well really. When I was asking if she was okay, she just simply said nothing and just stared out the window.”

“Can’t really blame her for acting this way. Watching your best friend die in front of your eyes, it would make anypony depress.”

“That and suicidal….hey you don’t she’s going to kill herself do you?”

“I doubt it, she may be depressed but she isn’t that stupid to kill herself. Though I think we might want to keep an eye on her just encase she might do something…..drastic”

“Noted, why don’t you go and have a talk with her while I help out here okay?”

“I’ll see what I can do, but I don’t think I can help or anything.”

“At least try to do something. It’s bad enough that Silver Heart was a traitor and somewhat killed Samantha, we don’t need her to feel like it was her fault and try to hurt herself because of it.”

“Alright….I’ll try, but don’t expect me to be useful.” With that Littlepip walks off towards the bar area of the train. As she enters into the bar Littlepip could see Vanessa with a empty bottle in her hand with her head faced side ways looking out the window with a sluggish expression on her face. “Um….hey Vanessa, how’s it going.”

“............”

“Vanessa I know you can hear me, don’t act like you can ignore.”

“............”

“...........” Littlepip’s horn glowed as she levitated a bucket of water over Vanessa’s head as she dropped the water onto her head. Vanessa turned her head to the side to see Littlepip with an annoyed look on her face. “Good I got your attention.”

“What do you want Pip? Can’t you see I’m busy?”

“If by busy you mean drinking yourself shit face drunk, then sorry for interrupting your busy schedule.”

“First of all I can’t get drunk seeing how an artificial heart and liver.”

“I’m afraid to ask, but how did you get an artificial heart and liver?”

“During my time on base with my dad, I sign to be a test subject to certain medical projects. First was the artificial heart, which helped help me out seeing how I had a heart problem. The second was the liver seeing how I…..shot myself by accident with a shotgun and blew out my whole liver.”

“How did you blow your own liver out!?”

“Here a bit of advice when someone tells you that the shotgun is empty, don’t believe them when they pretend to shoot at you.”

“Noted…..anyway the reason why I’m here is to see how you’re holding up.”

“.......I’m fine.”

“You don’t look fine to me.”

“Well I am, now if you don’t mind I would like to be alone please.”

“I’m not going anywhere.”

“I said go away please.” She said with an annoyed tone in her voice.

“I said I’m not going anywhere until we talk about this.” Littlepip took a seat across from Vanessa. “Now tell me the truth, are you okay or not?”

“...........”

“Answer me Vanessa.”

“...........”

“Vanessa!”

“I don’t need to tell you anything, now go away and leave me alone or else.”

“Or else what? You’re gonna kick my flank?”

“I’m tempting to yes.”

“Please like you could do something like that. The way that you are now you couldn’t even beat a raider let alone a slaver.”

“...........”

“What no witty comeback? Guess without Samantha around you’re just a lost-.” Before Littlepip could finish her statement, Vanessa sucker punch the stable pony in the face knocking her to the floor.

“Don’t you dare talk about her like that!”

“Oh did I hit a nerve or something? Because if I did then that mean I was right.” Pip said as she wiped the blood from off her mouth. “You’re nothing but a lost dog without your bitch of a friend Samantha.”

“I said DON’T FUCKING TALK TO HER LIKE THAT!” Vanessa yelled as she charged at Littlepip getting ready to punch her in the face again. Littlepip’s horn glowed as she encased the human in a green aura and slammed her into the wall of the boxcar they were in.

“Did you forget that I was a unicorn?” Littlepip asked as she threw the human again over the bar counter. “Come on Vanessa, is that the best you got?” To her surprise a wine bottle was thrown pass her head. “Whoa!”

“And you should know that I don’t give two fucks about it!” Vanessa yelled as she fired a barrage of bottle wine at Littlepip, who in turns barrel rolled to the side and hid behind a table from the attack. A few second of bottle throwing Vanessa moved from behind the counter and began to head towards Littlepip with a bottle in hand. Just as she reached to where Littlepip was hiding, she was shot by a magical beam in the face. This cause her to be sent flying into the wall again, as Littlepip ran up to her ready to buck Vanessa in the face with her back hooves. Just as she was about to hit her, Vanessa tossed the wine bottle in her hand and hit her in the face causing her to miss but elbows her in the nose and lands on top of her.

“.......S-So…..how are you feeling now?”

“Surprisingly much better than how I was earlier, but I still feel like shit.”

“You still blaming yourself after what happened to Samantha are you?”

“........Isn’t it?”

“Hey, what happen to her isn’t your fault. If we had known that Silver Heart would’ve turn on us, then I would of blown his head off the moment we met him.”

“I know….but still…”

“Listen to me.” Littlepip said as she jump on top of Vanessa forcing her to the floor. “It’s not your fault okay? You and I both know that something like this was bound to happen sooner or later, but that doesn’t mean you have to think that when a friend dies or turn on you it’s your fault. Don’t get depressed because of what happen, because right now if Samantha was alive to see you like this.”

“She would kick my ass or say something stupid…..*sigh* fuck your right.” Vanessa pulled Littlepip from off of her as she brushed off some of the dirty and blood off of herself.  “Never thought I would get a lecture from a pastel unicorn.”

“Oh would you rather have it come from a hellhound?”

“I don’t know what a hellhound is, but I doubt they would be civilize as most creatures are.” She said as she reached into her pocket to get out the package that Asphyxious gave her from Samantha.

“What’s that?”

“Asphyxious gave me this when Samantha died. I know the box is filled with her homemade cookies, but I don’t know what the letter is about.”

“Why don’t you open it and read it?”

“That’s what I’m about to do.” Vanessa answered as she open the letter, and began to read it outloud.

To my dear friend Vanessa

        If you received this letter that mean that I am dead from either from someone that killed me while protecting you and I died in the hospital or from something else I guess. Anyway if this letter get’s to you then that’s mean that I’m dead. Now I know right now that this would be the moment where you would go to a bar and get drunk, or get into a fight with one at a local bar somewhere near town. But really Van you shouldn’t let this get to you, well you should but not to the point where you end up getting yourself in trouble. I know losing your best friend will be hard for you to accept, but you need not let this get to you like this. You are a strong woman that doesn’t take crap from anyone, hell you even punched a jaggie in the face when you misplaced your long sword a while back.

        I know that you’ll be depressed right now, but if I was alive to see you like this I would kick you fucking ass like you did to me back home when my parents kicked me out of their home when I was looking for Mark at each anime convention. You remember don’t you? How you pulled me by the collar and punch me like a punching bag just to get me to stop being depressed? I have to say even though that was a cruel thing to do, it actually gave me a lot to think about. Oh look at me I’m starting to cry while writing this, dammit I’m blaming you for this Van making you best friend cry like this. *Sniff, Sniff* A-Anyway I’m gonna have to make this short before I have to write again due to me crying.

        For the past few years I was always a bane in your side ever since we were kids. Always pulling you along with the crazy stunts I would do, bring you to every con to find my cousin, always bailing me out of trouble when a guy I date is a jerk and tries to have his way with….for that I am sorry for being the person always causing you trouble. I know you’ll say that I wasn’t but I know you hated it, and yet you still stay with me through it all when most people would of gave up and left. For that I am grateful for having a true friend like you, and for always being with me till the bitter end I left you with a little present.

        Before Vanessa could continue with read a surge of magic energy started to flow within the room as particles of magic started to gather around her and Littlepip. As the magic gathered around them the room was bathed in a vail of cosmic gold and blue dust as a blinding light filled the room. Moments later the light died as it revealed Littlepip and herself wearing a cape like cloak on them and a new long sword on Vanessa’s back and next to her.

        Like it? I made it a few days back while you and the rest of the girls were asleep after our daring escape from the Deviljho. It was kinda hard to learn that magic spell from Sunny’s book, but I was able to do it to my surprise. Hell I didn’t know humans could do magic.Anyway I figure seeing how I found the materials need to make from ponyville, I might as well make for when we free the ponies from Old Appaloosa as a reward. Listen…..I know you’re angry with me for dying on you and leaving you in this hellish world and I’m sorry for that, but I have a request I want you to do for me if you’re willing to do it?  For the past few days traveling with you all this place is like our home, but only with ponies. This world is cruel and no one is going to do anything about, that is why I want you, Sunny, and Pip to do something about. I know this may sound impossible to do, but I want you to the hero to save these ponies raiders, slavers, or anyone that would corrupt other ponies. This is my last request I would ask from you Vanessa. If you choose to take up the mantle of the hero, then I would be happy if you did. If not then I would understand.

        After reading the letter out loud, tears started to pour down heavily from her eyes along with Littlepip’s eyes as well. “Samantha……” Vanessa picked up the second sword as she pulled out a stone that open a portal to the multiverse. “My name is Vanessa , The Huntress and Hero of the wasteland. *Sniff, Sniff* I-If anyone needs me and Littlepip’s help in anything that needs saving. Give us a call and I will help to the best of our ability.” Having saying that Vanessa tossed the Starlight Gate long sword into the void as it closed behind it.

“......Littlepip.”

“*Sniff, Sniff* Y-Yes?”

“What I’m about to do would most likely get me killed, and I know I got you into trouble but I want you to join me in saving this land if you’re up for it?”

“From the moment we meet I didn’t know if you guys would kill me in my sleep or Faust knows what. But as I been with you for the past few weeks and you saving my flank from time to time, I’ll have to say that I’m by your side on this crazy crusade that you friend requested you to do.” Littlepip said as she wiped and walked next to the human with a smile on her face. “Plus during our journey through the wasteland we might find Velvet Remedy along the way.”

“Thanks…...I really appreciate your help through all this.”

“Don’t mention it.” Littlepip began to walk off towards the boxcar where Sunny Day was in. “Come on, let’s go see if Sunny needs help.”

“Yeah let’s.” After looking at the writing on the sword, Vanessa sheathed her sword and walked after Littlepip.

    “No matter if you path is clouded in darkness or you fall into the abyss of sorrow. I will alway be by your side to save your ass, because we are blood sisters till the end.”

Chapter 8: Well that escalated quickly

“There you go my friend, you’re all patched up.” Said Sunny Day finishing up bandaging the last slave pony.

“Thank you Ms. Sunny Day, you don’t know how much this means to us that you saved us.” Said Clocksmith. “If there’s anything you need from us, let us know and we’ll help.”

“Oh don’t worry about. Now try not to move so much now okay? Those bandages will stop the bleeding as long as you don’t push yourself.” She said as she took a empty seat next to her to relax in. “Dear Celestia, I’m surprised that we had enough medical supplies to go around.” Just as she was about to take a sip from a bottle of apple cider she got from the bar, Vanessa and Littlepip entered into the room. Most of the slave ponies were scared at first due to the fact that some of them didn’t know what the strange creature was.

“I’m back from the bar.” Said Littlepip. “And I brought Vanessa with me as well.”

“Glad to see you out of your little depression my human friend, and I see that you two have some new stuff on yeah.”

“Parting gift from Samantha.” Vanessa said as she pulled out a bag of cookies. “She even left us some of her homemade cookies as well.”

“Oh? Never thought to see sweets like those. How did she make those?”

“It’s Samantha, she always find a way to do something like this.” She answered as she toss a few at Sunny and Pip. “So what do we do now?”

“Well for starters we gotta get the hell off this mountain and back to New Appaloosa. After that…..I really have no idea, but we’ll see how this plays out.”

“Yeah sorry about that, didn’t think we were gonna make this far.”

“Eh don’t worry about. After what happen in Old Appaloosa I’m pretty sure we’re in the clear for now, but keep on your guard we don’t know if there is any survivors coming after us.” Sunny said as she began to eat. “Well besides losing a friend and that handsome dick of a slaver I think this turned out better then expect…..no offense.”

“None taken if Samantha was here with us she would of said the same.” Vanessa said as she pulled out a bottle of Apple Cider, and began to drink it.

“You sure you wanna drink that during a time like this?”

“Like I told Littlepip I have an artificial heart and liver that turn toxins into protan, so i can drink as much as I want. Though the downside is that I’ll still have the stupid headache from it.”

“That’s…..that’s actually a smart and interesting way to help somepony with a heart or liver problem. You don’t mind if we have a look at it do you?”

“.........No.”

“Why not?”

“Well I’m not injured or anything. Plus I don’t like it when…..ponies look at my insides….no offense or anything.”

“None taken…...So what are you ladies gonna do after this?”

“We’re gonna be doing a lot of things after this. Find Velvet Remedy and fulfill Samantha’s dying wish.”

“What was her wish?”

“She wanted me to be the hero of the wasteland.”

“..........Forgive me if I sound like a dick, but that’s the most stupidest wish I have ever heard, and I have heard a lot of stupid wishes.”

“Stupid as it may sound, but I’m pretty much gonna fulfill it.”

“What you’re about to do is insane on so many levels. I mean do you know how many bad shit is in this land? That doesn’t includes the raiders, slavers, and monsters. I’m talking about Alicorns, super mutants, ghouls, unknown monsters, the list goes on and it never ends.”

“Don’t care.”

“......You really are going to do this are you?”

“With Littlepip’s help we’re going to take down anyone that stands in our way.”

“Do…...I mean…..but…..UGH! Dammit!......You know what buck it I don’t do that much in New Appaloosa, and they pretty much just send me around the wastelands so I want in.”

“You sure? I’m not gonna lie you might end up getting killed if you come with us.”

“Well it’s not like I’m gonna leave you two after the shit we been through, plus Tom seems to want me to stay and help out.” She said as Tom crawled out of Sunny’s bag and onto her head. “So I might as well help when it come to what you need to know about the wasteland, just don’t expect me to follow you into any dangerous place unless I have no choice.”

“Sounds like a plan. So what do we do first after we get the slaves?”

“We’re gonna have to go to ghoul city, it’s pretty much the safest place where we can stay and not have to worry about ponies coming after us.”

“What’s wrong with any other place?”

“Not that many safe places to relax in for a long time, plus after what we just did we pretty much gonna get Red Eye’s attention.”

“Who’s ready, is he your leader or something?” Asked Littlepip.

“HA! Yeah right, I would sooner die than to serve that crazy pony.” Sunny said as she took the bottle from Vanessa, and began to drink some of it herself. “Red Eye isn’t my or some ponies leader, he’s just somepony who wants to rule the world and what everything to go his way.”

“Why do I get the feeling that this Red Eye pony has a god like complex.” Said Vanessa as she called Tom over to feed him. “If he does have that kind of mind complex, then we might end up having to fight him later on.”

“That is an possible “if” Vanessa. Red Eye maybe crazy, but he’s has ponies stupid enough to follow him till they die. Personally I would keep a safe distance from the bastard as much as possible.”

“How powerful is he-.”

“RRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Before Vanessa could ask her question, they heard a loud blood curdling roar followed by a loud banging sound that sounded like something hit a metal door very hard. The huntress looked at both Littlepip and Sunny Day with an annoyed look on her face saying “you gotta be kidding me.” expression.

“Question, did Asphyxious ever killed that dragon?”

“I think he only injured it to the point of passing out.” Littlepip answered.

“Crap.” Vanessa shoved the rest of the cookies into her pocket, as she rushed towards the ladder the reached to the roof of the room they’re in. “Sunny keep the train going towards New Appaloosa, Littlepip you’re with me and finishing off this bastard for good.”

“Right.” Littlepip said as she rush off with Vanessa.

(Rooftop)

        Vanessa and Littlepip made to the roof as they saw the battered up Chaotic Gore Magala staggering to keep itself up from the damage it received from Asphyxious, and from the constant dropping of boxcar courtesy of Vanessa. As the beast was slowly staggering towards the duo Vanessa notice the black/purple like substance dripping from it’s mouth.

“Better not let it hit or bite me. I know the frenzy virus increases a person’s strength, but I don’t know what it would do in real life.”  She thought as she unsheath her sword.

“Anything that I need to know about this thing?” Littlepip asked as she pulled little mac out.

“Watch out for that black stuff, and be careful this thing can hit hard and move really fast.”

“Anything else?”

“Let’s try not to let this bastard get to the engine room.” After saying that Both Vanessa and the dragon charged at each other. As they both reached each other and the dragon was about to bite the huntress’s head. Vanessa jumped on top of the dragon and stabbed it on it’s back, the dragon roared as it struggled around like a mad bull trying to get Vanessa off it’s back. “You’re gonna have to try harder if you want me off your back stupid.” She said as she dug her sword deeper into the dragon’s back. During this time Littlepip was shooting at the Chaotic Gore Magala’s wing like claws, mostly because she wanted to prevent it from flying away or from grabbing one of them. This plan of her’s was short well lived when Vanessa was thrown off and sent flying at Littlepip. The two collided with each other as the dragon flew up into the air, and fired a blackish purple like ball at them. The attack made contact as they both we’re infected by the frenzy virus.

“Dammit, not good.”

“What was that it hit us with?”

“Frenzy Virus, it acts like the demondrug I have but a little bit different.”

“Well in the game it weakens you if you don’t hit it a bunch of time, but I don’t know it will work here.”

“What will happen to use?”

“Don’t know, we’ll worry about it later once we hit New Appaloosa.” Vanessa pulled herself up from the the roof as she took switched to her Star Knight Sword. “Just focus on tall and ugly over here.” Just as the dragon was about to charge at our two heroes, Vanessa pulled out a flash bomb and threw it in front of the Chaotic Gore Magala. The dragon fell onto the train car causing it to buckle a bit from the tracks. Vanessa charged at the fallen dragon getting ready to stick her sword into the dragon’s head, only for the dragon to counter by biting her on the shoulder and hitting her with another frenzy virus attack at close range.

“Vanessa!”

“I-I’m fine.” She said as she jabbed her sword into the dragon’s throat causing it to let her go. “J-Just keep shooting at it until it’s dead.” Vanessa rushed underneath the dragon and begun to hack & slash pass it. Littlepip pulled out her shotgun and shot a piece of the dragon’s shoulder arm like claw off. As Vanessa appeared behind the dragon it had just enter into it’s rage mode causing both Vanessa and Littlepip to cover their ear.

“Yep we pissed it off even more.”

“Really? I haven’t notice seeing how we keep hitting it.” Littlepip said as she shot at it again only to shoot it’s purple feeler off it’s head. Vanessa saw the feeler flying  and decided to grab it after she jumped off of the dragon’s back. After grabbing the feeler Vanessa placed it into her pocket and landed onto the Chaotic Gore Magala’s head. Pulling out her sword from her side, the huntress planted her sword into the skull of the dragon’s head.

“Checkmate!” Vanessa yelled as the dragon fell. The huntress removed her sword from the dragon’s head as she walked/stagger over to Littlepip. “Well that turned better than I expected.”

“Are you kidding me!? That dragon bit you and hit us with some kind of virus that we have no idea what it does. How can you be so, so okay and happy about this?”

“Hey we won didn’t we not to mention we got payback for what it did to us back in Old Appaloosa. Plus I go something from it to make some new armor so why wouldn’t I be happy.”

“.........You are not right in the head you know that?”

“Oh I’m sorry I didn’t my insanity was being judge by my action.” Vanessa said sarcastically. “Now come on let’s head back to the others before-.” Before she could finish saying anything else they both heard the Chaotic Gore Magala roar along with a high pitch sound. The two looked behind themselves as they saw the dragon standing up, what got their attention was the high pitch sound coming from the dragon’s mouth. Seconds later the dragon lowered its head towards the roof of the train car they were standing on, and launched an oncoming tower of dark flames at them.

“Littlepip.”

“Yes?”

“I’m starting to hate the wasteland even more.”

“You and me both.” After saying that both her and Vanessa’s world went to darkness, for all they could hear was the sound of an explosion and the train car they were standing on.

Chapter 9: Frenzy Mode

“Vanessa.”

“Ugh…..not now Samantha…..I’m tired.”

“Vanessa.”

“……………..”

“VANESSA!”

        Vanessa opened her eyes after hearing Littlepip scream her name out loud. Upon opening then she found herself on the ground badly injured and covered in blood from herself and the Chaotic Gore Magala that they fought moments ago. As Vanessa tried to pull herself up she felt a surge of pain going through her right shoulder and left leg. From what she felt it would seem that her left leg was broken from the fall or from the dragon’s attack seeing how they were somewhere at the bottom of the mountain.

“D-Dammit, how long was I out?”

“Two maybe three hours really, I just woke up not to long and found you like this.”

“Great…..wait what about the train?”

“Judging the stuff that’s around us, I can only guess that the train car we were standing on was the only thing that got destroyed.”

“Well that’s good. At least the others got away safely.”

“Yeah but we’re kinda stuck down here in…..whatever the hell this place is. Not to mention that you’re injured and we don't have any medical supplies to patch you up.”

“Fuck.”

“And not to be the barer of bad news, but I saw something moving around here.”

“Well fan fucking tastic! Can this get any worse!?”

“Also I’m running low on ammo so there’s that as well.” Littlepip said with a sheepish smile on her face.

        

“........Have I ever told you I hate this place?”

“A lot actually.”

“Well we can’t stay here for much longer.” Vanessa summoned Starlight Gate and used it to help herself up from the ground. “We need to head back to New Appaloosa and hope Sunny Day made it there.” Just as they were about to head off they the sound mad laughter and gunshots into the air. “Dammit why here of all places?”

“I’m surprised that raiders are even down here. What do we do?”

        Vanessa looked around her surroundings to see if they could find a place to hide. Normally she would’ve fought the raiders solo if it wasn’t for her banged up leg and wounded arm, but in this situation this pretty much calls for hiding. Seconds later Vanessa saw a cave big enough for her and Littlepip to hide in. “We’ll hide in that cave over there until they leave.” She said as they limped to the cave. Before they entered the cave, Littlepip trip over something causing her to fall face first.

“Ow!”

“You okay?”

“Yeah I’m fine, just tripped over something hard.” Littlepip’s horn glowed as she picked up the object that made her trip, to what she could tell is was pure white diamond. “Whoa! I just found a bucking diamond!”

“Congrats, now come on we need to hide.”

“If we live do you think we can sell it for caps in New Appaloosa?”

“That is if we live-.” Vanessa was cut short as she tripped over something. “AH! Dammit my leg! Who the fu-.” Vanessa looked down to see the same diamond only this time it was black. “.......Guess we’re gonna be swimming in caps if we survived this.”

“That or take them to science department and see what the scientist would give us for them.”

“That to-.”

“Hey guys I found some pony tracks, maybe they might have something worth taking!”

“If it’s a mare then we have a new sex toy colts!”

“Let’s just hide before they get us.”

“Agreed.” Littlepip said as she handed her diamond to Vanessa. Moments later the duo made to the cave that Vanessa saw a few minutes ago.

“Come out, come out wherever you are mare.” Said a earth pony holding a whip. “We just wanna be your special friend.”

“Yeah we won’t hurt you.” Said another pony. “We just wanna talk.”

Great talk about being cornered like rats.”  Vanessa thought as she looked at the two diamonds she had. “Guess we won’t be getting any caps with these.” The huntress looked over to the right to see a piece of scrap metal sticking up from the ground. “Those two are getting close to where we are, but I bet they’ll look somewhere else if they heard something else.” With whatever strength she had left Vanessa threw the two diamonds at the piece of metal causing the two raiders to look towards the direction of the sound, just as they did twin portals opened up in front of them.

        From the portals walked two women, almost looking like mirrors of one another. The black haired one wore a cropped white jacket with light grey pants, while the blonde wore a black version of that jacket with dark grey pants. And neither of them looked all that glad to see the raiders.

“Well, well, well, what do we have here?” asked the black-haired one.

“Looks like a group ne’erdowells looking to get their butts beat,” the blonde replied with a sinister smile.

“Who the buck are they!” Yelled the earth pony.

“I don’t know just kill them and let’s get back to finding those two mares that we heard.” Said the unicorn as they both unleashed a clip of bullets at the two women.

They both smirked and held out their hands. To the astonishment of the ponies, ever single bullet stopped in midair right in front of their outstretched hands.

“Now, now, now,” the blonde smirked. “Don’t you know it’s rude to shoot at a lady?”

“Quick get the other while I hold them off!”

        “On it.” Having saying that the unicorn teleported off leaving his friend behind to deal with the two humans. Meanwhile Vanessa and Littlepip we’re slowly making their way out of the cave they were hiding in to figure out where the noise was coming from. Only for the huntress to get shot in her left rib and Littlepip getting hit by a magical beam to the stomach.

“Well what do we have here boys?” Said a pegasus with a twisted smile on her face.

“It would appear that we have some rats hiding in our home boss.”

“Really Quick Shot? I can see the mutant monkey thing being a rat.”

“Screw you asshole!” Vanessa yelled only to get shot in the shoulder blade.

“Vanessa!” Littlepip yelled but was levitated off the ground by one of the leaders goons.

“But you, I have to say you look nice for a mare from the stable. Quick Shot, Red Sun.” He said as two earth ponies appeared in front of him. “Kill that mutant and take whatever she has, afterwards bring the body to me. I wanna see if that thing is a male or female.”

Um, why sir.”

“Because if it’s a female then I can make a sex doll out of her, you all can have to stable pony if you want? It’s up to you.”

“Oh dear Celestia somepony help us!”

“This is the wasteland bitch, no one can help you out here. And even if they did, who would be stupid enough to face us?”

“That would be us,” a feminine voice came from right behind him.

“Who the buck are you freaks?” He asked as the unicorn goon dropped Littlepip. “What, you’re friends with that freak mutant monkey over there?” He said as he pointed towards the badly beat up huntress on the ground bleeding. “Because if you are you two are gonna share the same fate it’s gonna have.”

“We’ve never met before in our lives,” the blonde replied with a smile.

“But that doesn’t mean we’ll just let you do whatever the hell you want to her. Allow us to introduce ourselves. I’m Raven Masters.”

“And I’m Kat Shifter. We’re known as the gravity sisters, and it would be beneficial to your health if you left now before things got heated.”

“Oh I’m so scared of a bunch freaks like you two, boys take are of the these mutants while I have some fun the mare the that other mutant.” He said as all the raiders pointed their weapons at the gravity sisters. “And make sure you leave the bodies at my place, I’ll add them to my collection later.”

“What did I just tell you only a few minutes ago, hmm?” Kat asked. Her hand suddenly lit with red and white fiery energy. In that same instant, all of their weapons suddenly crumpled up, making them worthless. “It’s very rude to shoot a lady.”

“Mother of Celestia!”

“Don’t just stand there attack the with whatever we have!” said a random pony as some of the other ponies had melee weapons in their mouths and begun to charge at the two humans.

“Allow me,” Raven said. Her hand lit with blue and black energy, the ponies lifting up into the air, flailing about. “Are you gonna be good little boys and play nicely, or does momma Raven have to punish?”

“Put us down you bitch! Don’t you know who we are!?”

“We’re the Black Bandits! We don’t take orders from anyone, especially you freaks!”

“Punish it is,” Raven sighed. With a twist of her wrist, all of the ponies were slammed down to the ground. But it hurt far more than it should; almost as if they had plummeted off a cliff instead of only a few feet off the ground.

“You’re gonna pay for that bitch!” The leader said as he pulled out a rusty battle axe and charged at Raven.

Kat stepped in his way. Only inches from her face, she stopped the blade with just two fingers. “So hostile,” she tisked. “But to think you actually thought you stood a chance. I give you this kid.” She twisted her wrist, breaking off the entire front of the blade. “You’ve got some guts, but not a whole lot of brains.”

“Y-You think this will stop me?” He asked as he pulled out a hidden knife. “Don’t make me laugh, this isn’t the only time I faced with someone who was as strong as you.”

Kat looked at him with a raised eyebrow, not impressed at all. She reached out and flicked his horn, breaking it off and sending it flying off into the distance.

“........Oh buck me side ways with Celestia’s hoof.” He said as he started to back up slowly away from Kat after seeing his blade was flicked off like a fly.

“You’re not facing some tough girls, kid,” Kat smirked. “You’re facing goddesses.” She got right in face and smiled evilly. “Now… run.”

Without even a second thought the leader and the rest of the raiders pulled themselves up from the ground and started to run away from the two gravity sister. That is until they were all cut down after taking a few steps of trying to escape. Standing in the middle of the cut up bodies of the raiders was Vanessa who was covered in a mysterious sickly blackish purple aura and was wearing black and purple armor that was a bit…..revealing in most areas of her body.

“Okay, that wasn’t fair,” Kat glared. “They may have been scum, but killing someone while they’re back is turned is cowardly and unfair.”

“............” Vanessa said nothing but stared at Kat and Raven as she begun to slowly walk towards them. The Huntress reached for her sword only to toss it next to Littlepip as she summoned a new sword that resembled her armor. “Slavers, Raiders, it matters not if they run away or not. They die by my sword before they could run. For there is nothing to stop them from doing what they do to the innocent ponies of the wasteland, nothing but me.” She said as she crushed the head of a dead raider. “Now if you’ll excuse me I have to take care of some of the stragglers that are still trying to running away.” 

Raven and Kat weren’t quite so pleased. “They are running away,” Raven said, taking a small step forward. “They are defenseless and weakened. Striking them down now makes you the villain, not the hero. You do no favors at this point in time. Let, it, go.”

“And let them go after innocent ponies that they would kill or sell into slavery? No, I’m not going to let them go, they’ll die like the scum they’re. I’m not going to give any of the them a second chance not after what happened to Samantha when I let one lived.” Vanessa sword started to glow. “Now get out of my way, I don’t want to have to hurt you both.”

“There is no need for cold blooded murder,” Kat responded. “If you wish to strike them down, then at least give them a chance to fight back. If you don’t, then you are no better, if not worse, than them.”

“Lady this is the wasteland, morals and stuff like that will get you killed in the long run. Now move it.” Before Vanessa could say or do anything, Littlepip hit the huntress from behind with a knockout spell sending her into dream land.

“Thanks Celestia that spell worked.”

“Well, that was simple,” Kat commented. “Poor girl flipped her lid.”

“Yeah, but she sure is a sexy thing,” Raven said, slightly licking her lips.

“Not now, you kink.”

“Love you too, sis.”

“Um….Mind telling me who you two are if you don’t mind?” Littlepip asked as she levitated Vanessa onto her back. “I mean not to be rude or anything.”

“I’m Kat Shifter,” the blonde reintroduced. “Gravity incarnate.”

“And I’m Raven Masters, the gravity master.” The black haired one bowed her slightly. “A pleasure, miss.”

“I’m Littlepip and this is my partner and friend Vanessa Roberts, who I would like to apologies for what happened earlier with her almost attacking you both.”

“Wouldn’t be the first time,” they both answered at the same time with a shrug.

“So no hard feelings?”

“Well,” Kat drawled, “not completely. She did go and commit cold blooded murder. That’s really not okay in my book. Self defence claims ended when they started running.”

“Oh dear.” Littlepip said as she opened one of Vanessa’s eye as she could see that her eye was purple instead of rose red. “Oh this is not good, not good at all.”

“Is something wrong with her?” Kat asked, walking over to them.

“She’s infected with the frenzy virus that we got from that dragon we fought while escaping Old Appaloosa with train full of slaves.” Littlepip said as she put Vanessa on the ground and poured water down her throat from Vanessa’s water bottle.

“Can it be cured?” Raven asked, looking on with interest.

“I-I don’t know I’m not a medic like Sunny Day…..wait can anyone of you get us to New Appaloosa?”

“We can fly you there,” Kat nodded. “Never heard of the place, but since you know it, there should be no problem finding it.”

“Just follow the train tracks they’ll lead you to the town.” Littlepip said as she began to stagger a bit. “N-Now if don’t mind I’m gonna pass out now?” She said as she fell to the ground.

Kat blinked before looking at Raven, who was looking back unamused. “Don’t say it.”

She smirked. “Allons-y?”

Raven sighed deeply, pinching the bridge of her nose. “Fine, whatever. You take miss frenzy, I’ll take the pony.”

(New Appaloosa)

[Medical Science Room]

“This just amazing and shocking at the same time!” Sunny Day said as she looked over at both Vanessa and Littlepip’s medical results.

“Amazing as in ‘good’, or amazing as in ‘oh mon Dieu call the grave diggers’?” Kat asked hesitantly.

“They’re not going to die, but from the information I got is telling. Then it seems that this so called frenzy virus has merged with their DNA. Which is a good and bad thing if they don’t mind a certain side affect happening to them.” Sunny said as she walked over to a her desk and pulled out a bottle of Apple cider.

“Please tell me you’re not drinking on the job,” Raven asked, giving her an uncertain look.

“Don’t judge me. After being surrounded by sand sharks in the bucking desert, getting chased by a deviljho, freeing a bunch of slaves, and tending to everypony that injured in Old Appaloosa while escaping a giant dragon like snake. You bet your sweet ass I’m gonna drink. Not only that but I’m done my part of the work, so it’s the other ponies in this place turn to help out.” She said she began to drink.

“What was that about my ass?”

“Hey what’s this doohickey?” Kat asked, looking over one of the strange machines. She accidentally activated it, blinding her for a moment. “Woah, did I just take my picture or something?”

“I think that’s an x-ray machine, sis,” Raven said, holding back a chuckle.

“....I knew that.”

“Close, it’s actually scans a pony DNA and stuff. That’s what I used on Vanessa and Littlepip moments ago.” Sunny put the bottle down as she looked over at Vanessa. “Guess it comes to no surprise that something like this was going to happen her…..guess you’re still not over what happened to Samantha huh?”

“Who’s Samantha?” Kat asked, trying to clear the radiation from her eyes.

“Originally there were two humans in the wasteland instead of just one. During a mission that we were on one of our teammates was a slaver that we thought that was good, but turned out to be a spy. Samantha got injured in the heart from Silver Heart and again from a green alicorn in Old Appaloosa when she pushed her out of the was of the attack that was meant for Vanessa.”

“Ouch,” Kat winced.

“Only two humans on the entire planet?” Raven repeated. “In a place like this, I would have thought there would be a few more. Ah well, at least now you can say there’s been a total of three humans on this rock.”

“That’s what you took out of that?”

“Everyone picks up different cues, Kat. Don’t judge me.”

“True you got a point. And for the record this place used to be called Equestria, but now we just call it the wasteland.” Sunny said as she took another sip from the Apple cider.

“Well, I can’t say it’s the first Equestria I’ve seen in such a sorry state,” Kat said, looking out the window.

“Ugh…..My head….what the hell happen?” Vanessa asked as she woke up from her episode of insanity.

“And so awoketh Sleeping Beauty from her slumber,” Raven snarked with a grin.

“Yeah if sleeping beauty had a hangover……..WHAT THE HELL AM I WEARING!?” She asked after looking at herself for a second. “I look like some kind of perverted character that someone made in a game!”

“Well, you went beserk and just… kinda showed up like that,” Kat gestured to all of her. “It’s been hard keeping Raven off of you.”

“Fuck you, Kat.”

“Maybe later.”

“Shut up!”

“Oh god, did I do something when I wasn’t myself?”

“You killed those marauders in cold blood.”

“Were they running away?”

“Like frightened children,” Raven nodded. “Kat flicking that guy’s horn off really freaked them out. Then you came along and just, boom, dead.”

“Dang there goes moral compass for the day.” Vanessa said as she pulled herself off the bed. “I wouldn’t be surprised if karma does something to me later for doing that.” She said as she eyed Raven and laughed a bit.

“Don’t tempt me,” she licked her lips.

“No it’s not that just something that Littlepip said when we meet. So mind telling who you two are?”

“That’s Kat, and I’m Raven. We’re the gravity sisters.”

“Well it’s nice to meet you two, I’m Vanessa Roberts huntress and hero of the wasteland, and pony over there is Littlepip my partner.”

“We got that from the good doctor over there,” Raven nodded to the other pony. “You’re welcome for the save, by the way.”

“Guess I owe you two one huh?” Vanessa asked while blushing. “Well whatever the favor you need just let me know.” Just as she started to stretch a bit from being stiff, some pieces of her armor started to crack a bit. “Well…...that something that never happen to my armor before.”

Raven was watching with a predatory smile, making Kat roll her eyes. She tossed a blanket to Vanessa. “Please stop giving her ideas. And you owe us nothing; I don’t need favors.”

“Fine, but still thanks for the save back there though.”

“No problem,” Kat said with a smile. The machine next to her started to fritz out a bit. “Gah! What is up with this stupid thing?”

“Isn’t that thing connected to the scanner?” Raven asked.

“No that’s the microwave that I made from scrap. It maybe loud, but cooks food to perfection. So far everything beside the medical stuff is made from scrap that I found in the wasteland while traveling.”

“Oh… huh, spooked by a microwave. Well… I feel stupid. By the way, did come from that little x-ray burst? I’m a little interested to see how the machine works with my DNA.”

“Oh right that, let me just bring it up on the computer and…...huh, that’s odd?”

“What’s odd?” Kat asked, looking over her shoulder.

“Your DNA isn’t like a human DNA from the sample I got from Samantha and Vanessa. It’s…..different for some odd reason. So far it just as complex as Vanessa’s but different.”

“Oh, well that’s normal,” Kat waved off. “I’m not human.” She didn’t even look at the pony’s expression as she looked over the results. “Oh, so that’s what it looks like. A triple helix, very nice.”

“This is something you can rarely find.” Sunny said as she took some notes of the triple helix. “Red Eye been trying to find somepony with DNA like this that or information about…...crap we can’t let that S.O.B get his hands on this.”

“Well, technically it’s a quadruple, but the fourth band can only be seen with the right scanner and… wait, what would DNA like this be of benefit to somepony here?”

“We may not be able to to some degree, but Red Eye….well let’s just say that if were to get his hooves on something like this. Let’s just say wasteland would more screwed if he figured out a way to create some kind of super pony soldier with it.”

Kat let out a small, humorless laugh. “My DNA may allow for some longevity, but that’s about it for benefits. Save for a few small biological differences, you can’t tell me apart from a human.”

“Yes, but mix with something deadly like the frenzy virus the human with brown skin has due to eating too much chocolate as a little filly.”

“HEY THIS IS MY SKIN COLOR DICK HEAD!”

“That and mix it with self repair nanobots and you pretty have you super soldier ready to kill ponies, that is if he finds somepony that’s an expert at this DNA stuff along with a suitable host.”

“That could be bad,” she admitted. “You may want to erase this data as soon as possible. My DNA is too dangerous for the lives of morals.”

“Noted. It’s bad enough we raiders, slavers, super mutants that ponies into them, and other shit. We don’t need super soldiers running around killing ponies.” She said as she began to delete the info on Kat’s DNA. “Shouldn’t take long for the file to be destroyed, so do you two have any questions you wanna ask me about the wasteland?”

“Nope.”

“Naw, I’m good.” They both smiled.

“Fair enough.” Sunny Day then turned her attention at Vanessa. “As for you Vanessa, you need to take a bath.”

“Why do I have to take a bath?”

“Because you smell of dragon breath, blood, and Celestia know what else.”

“.........Fine, but you have my Yukumo outfit ready and Starlight Gate polish as well.” Vanessa said as she stormed off to the bathroom.

“While she’s doing that I’m gonna be taking a look at her’s and Littlepip’s DNA to see if anything else is going on. Feel free to explore or relax while you’re here ladies.”

“I’m just gonna take a nap,” Kat said, stretching and muffling a yawn. “I was right in the middle of a nice one when the diamond called. She transformed into a golden furred earth pony and cantered off. “If you need me, I’ll be on a cloud.”

“Don’t eat it this time,” Raven called after her.

“Screw you too, Rae-rae.”

“Don’t call me that!”

“So…..I see you been eyeing Vanessa for a while. Care to explain why?”

“It’s better than giving up and letting the everyone around you do as they please. It’s a soldier’s job to protect the people and the peace. Vanessa has the right mindset to fix this place, but it will take a long time.”

“I might have given up on saving this land, but that doesn’t mean I’ll just standby and watch ponies getting killed. I may not be the perfect doctor, hell I done my fair share of killing before I ended up as New Appaloosa’s doctor. But I took an oath that no matter who the pony is I’ll still heal them….even if they are slavers or raiders.” Sunny pulled out a laptop from her bag. “If those two actually save this place then I’ll burn all the sex tapes that I have collected throughout the years I’ve been here.”

“Perfect, this will make things easier to explain.” Sunny said with a childish smile on her face. A moment later, Raven, Vanessa, and Little Pip walked in.

“What’s up, Kat? Something wrong?”

“Ask the doc.”

“The reason why I called you all here was because I might have found a way to restore the wasteland back to what it used to look like two hundred years ago before the war with the zebra nation.”

“Wait really?” Said Vanessa a bit shocked at this. “How?”

“After looking into some files I found in Old Appaloosa and some files I have here. I found that only way to restore whatever peace the wasteland has, is by using the elements of harmony to bring life back to this land.”

“Sounds like a feasible plan, but one problem,” Kat brought up.

“You’re going to not only have to find the elements, but also new bearers for them,” Raven continued.

“True, but for the time being we just need the elements.” Sunny Day turned her laptop towards the other. “For with the of science I found the elements locations and created a device that will allow us to use them without the need of the bearers.”

Raven and Kat winced. “Oh… well… good luck with that…” Neither of them sounded very much like they thought it would work.

“What do you mean by that?”

“I think they mean that it’s not going to work.” Littlepip answered. “And I might have to agree with them on that.”

“Hey it’ll work, all I need is to get the parts that I need to make it while you two go get the elements.”

“And where are they?”

“I’ll give you five of the elements locations, once you get all five come see me so I can tell you where the last one is.”

Raven and Kat looked at each other, before looking at the doctor suspiciously. They rolled their eyes and shook their heads at the doctor’s wording.

“Shoot me all the looks you want, but if I tell them who has the last element the these two would most likely go after that one first.”

“Well, since you two have a fetch quest to get to, Kat and I will make our leave,” Raven said.

“Before you two leave have this.” Vanessa pulled a copy of her sword Starlight gate. “If you need us give us a call okay?”

“Hoo, big ol’ thing. Kat?”

“On it!” Kat reached into her cutie mark and pulled out a book. She opened it up as Raven dropped the sword, the entire blade disappearing into the pages. “That should be a fun read later,” Kat said as she closed up the book.

“.....I’m starting to wish I was pony that can do something like that.” Said Littlepip.

“Oh you’ll be surprised later on.” Said Sunny Day who was trying not to laugh.

“What do you mean?”

“Well since you two have to frenzy virus in your DNA’s...you pretty much gonna be one. Or in the terms of what the great Lyra would say anthropomorphic.”

“Oh an anthro,” Raven gave Littlepip a predatory look. “Such sexy things, them anthros.”

“That would explain why Littlepip is standing on her hind hooves.” Vanessa said pointing to Littlepip who was standing on her hind hooves.

“That could get painful when her forehooves turn into hands,” Kat commented.

“Gonna be much painful for Vanessa when her extra arms gonna come in.” Sunny Said as she show them the results of the huntress. “You see for some reason after getting bit by that Gore Magala and from radiation from the machine; which I am so sorry for that you’re gonna have….certain features granted you’ll look like a pony just with four arms. But hey look on the bright side at least you give me a “hand” around the place.”

“Get it? Because she’ll have more the two arms.”

Kat slapped the doctor on the back of the head. “Bad pony. Bad.”

“Oh whatever I thought it was funny.” She said while rubbing the back of her head. “Anyway the transformation will happen slowly so don’t be surprised if you feel weird or act weirder than usual.”

“Where’s she gonna buy shirts?” Kat asked, tilting her head cutely.

“Unless she’s able to make them out of thin air like she does her armor and weapons, then I’m pretty much gonna have to make them, that or get the ponies here to help out.”

“I know one outfit that won’t be needing any adjustments,” Raven said, looking lustfully at Vanessa.

“Stop it.” Pip said looking Raven with a deadpanned expression. “You already had your fun with my partner.”

“She can’t help it,” Kat sighed. “She’s a kinky little connasse. The kinkiest you’ll ever meet.”

“Guilty as charged~.”

“Why do I get the feeling I’m gonna be the center of attention whenever I call you two here.” Said Vanessa.

“We’re not a package deal,” Raven scolded. “She has her token, and I have mine. We don’t have to both be here.”

“Speaking of which,” Kat looked at her wrist, pretending a watch was there. “I should get going. Dinner will be starting soon and Ben hates it when I’m late.”

“I have a meeting in the morning with the reconstruction committee. And after all that fun earlier, I’m going to be needing a good rest.”

“Feel free to summon us if you need help with something or just wanna talk.” Said Littlepip as she walked over to put her steampunk stable suit on.

“Sure thing,” Kat nodded, opening up a portal. “Allons-y!” she dove right on in.

“And don’t you be afraid to give me a ring, sweet thing,” Raven said, blowing Vanessa a kiss. She disappeared into a vortex of her own.

“Looks like somepony has a fan.” Sunny said in a teasing tone.

“S-Shut up and just tell us where the first  element is before I hurt you.” Vanessa said as she cracked her knuckles and change to her Yukumo outfit.

“Fine, the first element is the element of honesty and that’s in Diamond Dog Town. You should have any problems getting it seeing how Blitz owes you a favor for taking care of that mutant frog problem.”

“Alright, we’ll head over there in a few minutes. Right now we need to stock up on supplies in town.”

“Okay try not to get lost, and try not to get into trouble you two.”

Chapter 10: Soapy Dragon [Edited]

(Diamond Dog Town)

“What do you mean you lost the Element of Honesty?!” yelled Vanessa, causing Littlepip and Blitz to cover their ears.

“I wouldn’t say lost it per say. It was pretty much stolen during when I was exploring something weird in the abandoned building where you killed that mutant frog thing.”

“All I hear is excuses.” Littlepip groaned.

“Don’t judge me, this was something that you rarely see in the wastelands now a days.”

“Okay then smartass, tell us who stole it so we can kick their ass after we kick yours. You only had ONE job and you still screwed up!” Blitz rolled his eyes at Vanessa as he pulled out a picture of what the monster looks like.

“This is what the thing looks like.”

“Oh… COME ON!!! Not again!!” Vanessa screamed. “We’ve already dealt with enough shit the last few times a monster was the reason for something. Don’t these guys ever just mind their own fucking business?!”

“It’s the wasteland, what do you expect.” The Diamond dog said as he handed the picture to Vanessa. “The thing is holding up outside in in the wrecked city. You can’t miss it really, just follow the trail of bubbles.”

“Well, that’s one thing… However, something about this… doesn’t feel right. It’s like it wants us to come to the wrecked city to lay a trap for us.” Littlepip then looked at Vanessa, who was thinking through what the mare just said. “Vanessa, do you know anything about this creature?”

“Hell if I know, the monster hunter book doesn’t have anything on this creature.”

“What about the bubbles though?” Littlepip asked. “Are they like poisonous?”

“No, it just makes it hard for you to keep your footing on the ground. Not to mention hard to get that stuff off of you seeing how we don’t have that much clean water.” Blitz said as he point to some of his guards sliding on the ground.

“Wow… sucks to be them… Okay, since we know what the bubbles do and the dragon is the cause of it, what else are we missing?”

“So far that pretty much it. Just be careful though, some raiders have been sneaking around the place last time my men checked.”

“Piece of cake, Raiders are a daily occurence for us.” Littlepip smirked. “Don’t worry, we got this… right?”

“Yeah we got this.” Vanessa said as she unsheath her long sword. “Let’s just get this over with before we lose the element.”

(Half an hour later, Wrecked City)

“Boy… when they said wrecked, I didn’t think that would mean OBLITERATED!!”

“Littlepip, be quiet!” Vanessa shushed. “You’ll disturb the dragon if you keep shouting like that.”

“Sorry, so what building do you think the dragon is hiding out in?”

Vanessa took a few moments to look around the scene as she looked at the ruins of the city that they were in. One thing stood out to her though as she looked through her binoculars. It was a building that looked like a stadium. Or more accurately put, a coliseum. That wasn’t the only thing she was seeing though, she was seeing a few bubbles leading inside from the main entrance.

And what looked like the skeletons of dead raiders, with their supplies looted off of their bodies. “I think I found out where our dragon is.”

“Really? What gave it away?”

“The Coliseum has bubbles and dead raider corpses that have already been looted. That just makes me worry that someone is trying to get to the Element before us.” Vanessa insisted. “Let’s move.”

“I was being sarcastic about that, but yeah let’s go.” Littlepip said only to notice two raiders heading towards them. “But first, we better hide.” she said while levitating Vanessa behind a broken wall. Soon, they began to overhear the two raiders from their current positions.

“I don’t see why we have to get that stupid element from that dragon. Why do we even need it anyway?”

“Because stupid, it’s part of Red Eye’s plan.”

“Do you even know what it is?”

“No, but we’re being paid in a lot of caps just to bring them in. Now quit your whining and let’s just find a way to take care of that soap dragon thing.” As the two raiders walked off, Vanessa and Littlepip moved from behind the broken wall and continue their way to where the dragon is.

“Guess we’re not the only one’s looking for the Element of Harmony huh?” Vanessa said as she scratched her head. “This might be a problem for us.”

“Nothing we can’t handle right?” Littlepip asked. “Though, we now know a name. Maybe we should ask the Diamond Dogs about it once we’re done here.”

“That or Sunny, but let’s ask them both just incase they might have different info on the guy.”

“The more info we have, the better.” Littlepip said. “Now… should we start with killing those two Raiders first or should we just let them lead us to the dragon?”

“Let them lead us to the dragon. Something tells me that if we do kill them now, their friends might alert the others.”

“Maybe… or they were sent to go look for their friends?” Littlepip brought up a good point. The corpses that Vanessa saw earlier were fresh, meaning that they weren’t in here for very long. “How about they lead us to the entrance, we take them out and then enter the coliseum from there. Something tells me that the ponies they’re looking for… are already dead aren’t they?”

“Yeah while you talk about your plan, their heads were cut clean off by a jet stream of high pressurized water.”

“... Are you being sarcastic?”

“OF COURSE I’M BEING SARCASTIC!!!” Littlepip facehooved herself, thanking Celestia above that the two raiders did not hear the sudden outburst. But it was a few moments later that the air was soon filled with the horrid and bloody screams of those two raiders. When the group arrived, they were greeted by a bloody scene. The first one’s head was bitten clean off with teeth marks around the neck line and the second one was nothing but a bunch of tiny pieces of flesh and bone. Dematerialized.

“Well… that’s one way of doing it.”

“Look out!” Vanessa tackled Littlepip to the ground as a stream of water jetted past them. “That was close.”

“Too close-.” The Unicorn was cut off by the sight of the source of the high power stream. What she saw… was nothing she would expect. “Uh… Vanessa… B-behind you.”

“The dragon’s right behind me isn’t he?” Vanessa asked as she turned her head around slight. What she saw was the dragon itself… but what she heard was something else.

“Are you in league with Red Eye, or are you just a bunch of Raiders trying to steal the element of honesty?”

“Woah woah woah… Steal the Element of Honesty?” Littlepip asked. “You were the one who stole it from us!!”

“I didn’t steal anything! That dude was the one that stole the Element of Honesty. I was merely getting it back before Red Eye tried to get it.”

“We’re not in league with Red Eye,” Vanessa told her. “And that dude you mentioned? He was a friend of ours that was trying to keep it safe from Raiders. So technically… you did steal it from us… Wait a second… Hey, can I ask you something?”

“Why should I answer your question thief?”

“Because something tells me you’re not from Equestria… Like me…” She told her. “Do you see any other humans walking around here in broad daylight? Plus, we’re trying to gather the elements of harmony to restore balance, not to do something like other thieves would and sell it to the highest bidder.”

The dragoness move up close to Vanessa as she began to sniff her. “Weird, you look like a human but you smell like a gore magala.”

“That thing tried to kill us!” Littlepip chimed in. “Trust me, we’ve been trying to survive through the wastes and every time we get even a few steps ahead, a monster comes from nowhere.”

The dragoness then turned her attention at Littlepip, and began to sniff her as well. “You both have the same smell as a gore magala. Explain yourselves.”

“That… might take some time to explain, but to get to the point, never fight a chaos gore magala on a train near radiation.”

“...... So that’s why you smell like one… That’s a relief. For a moment, I thought you were one.” The Dragoness said, confusing Vanessa.

“One of what?”

“I mean you were a monster.” She clarified. Now though, the dragoness began to glow, growing in size to her full dragon form, looming over them briefly before going back down to the same size as Vanessa. “And for the record I'm not a human per say, I am a pure blooded dragon, just gain some abilities over the years or so."

“I don’t know if I should find that as a good thing or not? But anyway, my name is Vanessa and this is my friend Littlepip.”

“Pleasure to meet you both. My name is Skye… do you mind if I ask you something?” The Dragoness said, causing Littlepip and Vanessa to look at each other first before looking back at her.

“Um, sure.”

“It seems we both have similar intentions regarding the elements… Would you mind if I joined you two in your travels? I believe I can help you two in finding the rest of the Elements.”

“Y-You sure you want to join us?” Vanessa said hesitantly.

“Of course. You are the first ones I met who haven’t tried to kill me, so I am grateful for that… Also, it’ll be like the Three Amigo’s right?”

“Well the more the merrier right?” Littlepip said as looked at Vanessa. “What do you think?”

“As long as she follows my orders and doesn’t wander out of my sight, then sure.”

“Great!!” She proclaimed. “First though, let me put together a bag.”

“You have bags? For what pray tell do you need them for?”

“I’ve been harvesting supplies from Raiders, including Food. I do get hungry, you know that?” She deadpanned.

“Fair enough, let’s just get the hell out of this place quickly.” Vanessa said as she look at the hole in the broken ceiling. “Something tells me we’re being watched by someone.”

“Actually, I had that open for sunlight. Plus anypony that tried getting through there gets blasted immediately.

“Who said they had to be close to be able to see what’s going on.” The huntress said as she made her way to the exit. “I’ll be outside checking the area. When you’re done we’ll head back to town.”

“Got it!”

“*Sigh* How long does it take to get your belongings together. I’m starting to get bored just waiting for them.”

“Please… I already did mine. I just had so much extra stuff left over that I get some things for you two.” Skye replied, holding a backpack and saddlebag.

“What took you two so long? I had to read the monster hunter book to fill the boredom.”

“Skye got bags for both of us. Trust me, she had a LOT of stuff. Including a couple weapons.” Littlepip replied.

“Unless she has some materials for me to make some weapons or armor out of, the you can keep it...well beside the shotgun base weapons.”

“Materials are here yes,” Skye replied, grabbing something and tossing it to Vanessa. “Your shotgun?”

“Perfect, looks like I’ll be busy tuning and making some new stuff on the way back to New Appaloosa.”

“Lead the way… Although, I might want to try learning to use one of these.” The Dragoness said, pulling out a sniper rifle with a knife ducktaped to the end of it.

“.....No.” Vanessa said as she grabbed the sniper rifle and gave it to Littlepip. “So far you do much better without a weapon, plus something tells me that you’ll shoot someone by accident.”

“The safety’s on. Plus, I can’t transform freely. There are limits.” Skye told her. “For one thing, I can’t transform into a dragon again until after an hour..”

“....Wow, you are the grand central station of disappointment huh?”

“Not likely. Plus, I prefer to have my transformation be a trump card.” Skye told Vanessa.

“Yeah because it didn’t stop you from ripping those raiders to pieces.”

“Hey, what would you do when someone invades your private space?” Skye asked. “Like if someone walked in on you while you were taking a shower.”

“.....Fair enough I guess.” Vanessa was about to say something else, but was unable to as she felt a sharp pain coming from her lower back. “O-Oh hell…”

“Vanessa?” Skye said, worried. “Are you okay?”

“Y-Yeah, I’m fine… just…ugh.” The huntress lower her head as she kneel down grabbing her stomach.

“Vanessa?!” Turning around, Skye shouted out to the Unicorn in front. “Littlepip! Something’s wrong with Vanessa!”

“Guess the mutation is starting to kick in.” Littlepip said as she pulls out another set of Yukumo gear for Vanessa. “Sunny did say that it will hurt when the effects happens to the both of us.”

“Wait… What effects?” Skye asked. “You two don’t have an infection now, do you?”

“No, it’s more like our DNA is changing for use. Radiation mix with The Frenzy virus will do that to you.”

“You’re going to have to tell me later,” Skye said. “For now though, can she walk? Or is she going to need some help?”

“You tell me if she’s able to walk?” Littlepip said as she was about to levitate Vanessa onto her back. Only for her to see a tail sticking from her lower end.

“... Okay, nevermind. Let’s just get out of here before anything else happens.”

(Diamond Dog Town)

“So you’re telling me that this dragon here,” Blitz said pointing to Skye. “Thought that I stole the element from her because she thought I was a raider?”

“Pretty much yeah, sorry about that.” Skye said bowing to the Diamond Dog. “With what’s been going on around the wasteland, you can’t be to sure who’s friend or who’s foe.”

“Well you didn’t kill any of my men, so I guess I’ll forgive you for that. So what about that Vanessa girl, is she going to be okay?”

“Well she’s stable, but we’re gonna have to head back to New Appaloosa. Now that we have someone that knows the location of the elements, we need to think of a plan on how to get the other from the five dragons.” Littlepip said as she hopped onto the train.

“Feel free to stop by if you need to stock up on supplies, or need some info about something.”

“If you don’t mind me asking, but mind telling who this Red Eye pony is?” Blitz facial expression harden as he tilted his hat over his eyes.

“It’s best that you don’t make enemies with him. Believe me, he’s not a pony you should fuck around with.” He said while walking away from the train as it began to move.

“Um….o-okay?” Littlepip simply closed the door to the train cart as she laid next to the unconscious huntress. “I hope finding the other elements won’t be as difficult then it sounds.”
