Chapter 19: The figure of mindscape two
Previous Chapter Next ChapterThe two mares just looked at me with disbelief, unable to speak. I closed the glass doors and leaned against them, waiting patiently for my words to sink in. I honestly don't have a problem with species, these ponies are intelligent and are more human than they think, hell a lot of the mares I've hung around are downright beautiful. Zero will get a real kick out of this.
Just then I felt a spark of energy. Seems like someone found my token, they don't appear to be summoning me though. Just then I felt something calling me to the mindscape. Putting a mental note to check out things in the multiverse later, I turned back to the mares. "Would it help if I give you two some time to think about this?"
They both came back to reality and nodded.
"Very well, I will leave you to collect your thoughts. In the meantime I shall prepare for tonight's Gala. I will see you then." With that I walked into the room and out into the hallway. "Now that I have some time alone..." I grasped my necklace and it began to glow. "...it's time to check the mindscape." A bright light enveloped me and I disappeared from the halls.
I soon found myself in a familiar black hallway. The walls were still black but the place was noticeably brighter, a sign of the girls influence on me. I looked out to see the cloud layer had turned light grey instead of dark grey. Walking down the hallway I looked at some of the paintings, most of them being memories with the girls and some with Cipher in the parallel Equestria. I then heard footsteps coming from the end of the hall, turning I saw a shadowy figure approaching, slouching as it shuffled forward.
Taking no chances I readied my demon self, not turning into it but having it prepared. As it came into the light its body was pitch black, it had no mouth and glowing green eyes. "Who are you?"
I...don't know...who I am...or...where...I am...
"You're in my subconscious, this is the hall of memories. If you are here that means you are connected to me in some way, if it's any consideration."
Any info...is of use...thank you...stranger...
I watched as he slowly trudged past me, making his way down the hall. "Mother, I need some help here." Just then a familiar ball of light floated down from the ceiling and formed into the shape of Vivi. "Hello again mother."
Hello my child, how may I be of assistance?
I pointed down the hall. "There's someone wandering around these halls, he has no memories and has no idea who he is. I was wondering if you'd know anything about that?"
Interesting...what did he look like?
"Pitch black over his whole body and glowing green eyes." Her eyes widened and she shot down the hall. "Couldn't just tell me what you were doing first? No that's asking a little too much..." I began running down the hallway but it seemed to grow longer as I ran. "This again? I was hoping that it would be a one time thing with the temple." I switched to my demon self to increase my speed, but the hallway decided to go faster as well.
"Wait a minute..." I came to a screeching halt and shot off in the opposite direction. I figured out that the hallway was just repeating itself and that Vivi had probably turned a corner. I exited the demon form when I turned a corner and found a hall of doors. I noticed one door was opened slightly and heard voices coming from it. As I got closer I could make out what was being said. The figures voice had also changed.
Thank you miss Vivi, this will do nicely
No problem my dear, I'm just glad that you didn't run into Nightmare. This room will keep you safe, please ask one of the other emotions if you have any questions
"Emotions?"
Peeking in I saw the room wasn't a room at all, it was a field of grass with a hill that had a tree at the top. Also, the figure's body had changed to white and he was glowing. Opening the door I walked in and Vivi floated over to me. "What is all this?"
These rooms house your emotions, he was a lost emotion that was misplaced during your life in earth. When you were called into the mindscape it was your soul trying to guide the lost emotion back to its home
"Then what emotion is he?" She giggled and looked away. "What's so funny?"
His name is...Love
I froze in place, a blush adorning my face. I looked around trying to figure out how this area represented love. I then noticed a few different species of animals running around or flying in pairs, the field surrounded by a ring of roses. "This feels so out of place in my mind."
It doesn't belong in your mind, it belongs in your heart
"That was the cheesiest thing you have ever said to me." She shrugged and we left the room, waving to the returned emotion. As we both walked down the hallway I noticed the doors had names on them. Most of them being the names of negative emotions, but one made me stop and stare at the door. "Logic?"
I then felt myself being pulled out of the mindscape.
I awoke to find a glowing golden figure before me. "Ok, the glowing mysterious figure thing is getting real old real fast."
I think that you might want to hear what I have to say Neo Rayleigh
"Don't call me that, my name is Symbol!" The figure smiled and helped me up. I then noticed that he looked exactly like me. "Ok, what's with all the reclours?"
I am the positive side to your soul, forced out by the Nighmare Fuel and banished to this world. I have slowly been reconnecting with your soul.
"So you're my positive state personified?" He nodded. "So, you going to be jumping into my body to give me some kind of new power?"
No, I am not strong enough to do that yet. The most I can do is weaken the Nightmares hold on you to give you full control of its power
OH HELL NO!!!
The figure, now named Posit, pushed a small orb of light into my chest. I could feel a wave of energy course through me, I just felt more...in control.
Just then a small portal appeared at my feet which spat out a necklace that hit my leg and began to glow. "Is that a token?" Lightning came from it and the world stood still. "What the hell?!" I was forcefully pulled into the vortex.
