Chapter 1: The Truth - Chapter 1

The Truth - Chapter 1

Frizz, Bea and Hola are flying their way home. Christmas holidays. 2 weeks off school to celebrate Christmas and the new year.

"Ooooh! I'm so excited for Christmas! I hope I get everything I asked for!" Hola squeals.

When the triplets find their home and land, they see 2 other ponies. Dallas and Dakota, the twins. They became friends with the two, but what were they doing at their house? The triplets sneak up behind the twins and listen to their conversation.

"So... are we really doing this? Frizz, Bea and Hola should be here any second now!" Dakota asks, giving a worried look to her twin.

"Yes! We need to talk to our REAL mum and dad. They are our real parents and I don't want to live with that stupid excuse of a foster mum!" Dallas says.

"I know, and I agree, but what if Frizz, Bea and Hola hear about this? They'll be heartbroken when they find out that they're not triplets."

The 'triplets' gaze at the twins in shock, their jaws dropping open. A shiver went down Bea's spine.

"Don't make it sound like that! They are sisters, and identical. Remember? We're not twins either. Together, with Frizz, Bea and Hola... we're quintuplets. All of us. We'll talk to them soon, but right now we need to talk to mum and dad." Dallas explains quietly. The siblings nods their heads, and Dallas raises a hoof to knock on the door, but three loud coughs stop him. The siblings turn around to see their other siblings staring at them in anger.

"Uh oh..." Dallas and Dakota murmur in unison.

"We just happened to over-hear your conversation..." Frizz begins softly. "NOW WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL US WE WERE QUINTUPLETS?!" She shouts, her nose touching Dakota's.

"Woah, woah, woah! Calm down Frizz!" Bea and Hola say together, pulling Frizz away from a scared Dakota.

"We... we're..." Dakota begins, but trails off. She roundly pokes Dallas, who continues.

"We're sorry. We wanted to tell you the first time you moved here! But we couldn't. We discovered the truth and were shocked, but we couldn;t do anything about it. We thought it'd be better for our real parents to explain. That's why we're here."

Frizz, Bea and Hola glare at their fellow siblings, but looks soften as their parents (Blossom and Strike) open the door. They saw their quintuplets' faces look up at them in worry. The married couple look at each other with nervous looks. They bring their daughters and son into the living room to have the full and real conversation of their life. Why they were lied to..."

Blossom started first.

"When you were 3 years old, Frizz and Dakota got into a play fight. The rest joined in, but then it grew more violent. Before we were able to stop your vicious attacks... You all got blinded. Bea received a black eye, Hola received TWO black eyes. Me and Strike at the time thought it would be best to separate you to prevent any other break-outs. Several months after we adopted Dallas and Dakota away to another couple, the father ended up in jail for abuse. On Dallas, Dakota and his wife. Then, the wife became an alcoholic. The poor little kids, I never knew it until they brung up the subject just a few weeks ago. We're taking matters into court to regain custody of Dallas and Dakota, so you can all become quintuplets again."

It was silent for a few seconds before Bea spoke up.

"REALLY?! THAT'S IT?! There's got to be more!" Bea raged, buzzing her wings. "Okay, calm down Bea. There's much more to tell you. I'll continue now..." Strike says.

"It wasn't long till you three," pointing to Frizz, Bea and Hola "Had forgotten about Dallas and Dakota. We were shocked. You completely forgot their existence all together. We honestly thought something wrong had happened, but we, as always, were over-reacting. We never knew about what they suffered through. Well... um... your birth. I'll tell you about that" Frizz, Bea and Hola nod.

"It was a shock. A great shock, should I say. We were only expected to have twins, but five foals were clearly visible in the ultrasound. At the 21 week mark, we saw that 4 of you were girls, and 1 a boy. It's extremely rare for quintuplets, but even more rare to have one of them a different gender! When it came to giving birth, everypony came out healthy. Well... except Dallas... Dallas. You were born with a heart condition. We thought you wouldn't survive..."

Dallas looked at his dad with full attention. What if something was still wrong with him? Are they telling another lie?

"But you pulled through. Months later, you got surgery and you don't have the problem any more. We are so sorry we lied to you Frizz, Bea and Hola. We didn't mean to hurt your feelings and separate you from your siblings. Dallas and Dakota, we're sorry we gave up you for adoption. We're sorry for the abuse you went through. But don't worry, we're going to court tomorrow to regain custody of you. For now, we've been allowed to have you stay here. Blossom, I'll go with Dallas and Dakota to grab some things. Stay here with the girls." Strike finishes, rushing Dallas and Dakota out of the house, shutting the door.

"Well... that wasn't much... I expected more to be honest..." Hola moaned, still staring at the door.

"Why? We told you everything we heard. It may be little, but it' important. We lied to you, and now you know the truth." Blossom explains.

Frizz, Bea and Hola nod in unison, and hug their mother. Now they know the truth. and can't be happier then they are.

The next day, the whole family went to court. The alcoholic mother was charged, and Dallas and Dakota were reunited with Frizz, Bea and Hola. They were finally happy as quintuplets. They could finally be a full family again.
