Tenno was sent to investigate a wormhole to see where it had led. The Lotus had explained that it might vanish. When he crosses over, the wormhole vanishes, and he crashes into the frozen wastes. He is discovered by a team of ponies lead by Shining Armor to find out what had crashed close to the Empire.

He is given a last order by the Lotus herself, defend Equestria until the wormhole reopens. These are his last missions in a strange world dominated with old earthen mythical creatures.
