Chapter 3: Cancellation
Previous Chapter
Sorry to all my watchers for taking so long, but while I was reading Blood is Thicker than Friendship, I reallized I had too many plot strings and too little ways to tie them together. In addition, my inspiration for this story has faded with time, with one character literally being stuck in Sugarcube Corner with nowhere to go. So I've decided to cut this down into it's component stories, which will allow me to write more easily. I suggest following me so you can catch all of them, because they explain what would have happened to all the different characters in this story, just cut apart and spread out over separate stories. So here's some stories to watch out for.
Prehistoric Equestria: Fluttershy comes across some bizarre footprints out by Froggy Bottom Bog, and discovers something wonderful. At the same time, Scootaloo gets a strange new pet bird...
Partial Crossover with Jurassic Park, for similarity in scenes in the fan-fiction and the novel.
Gojira v.s. King Ghidorah v.s. Mothra v.s. Rodan v.s. Anguirus v.s. Megaguirus v.s. The Elements of Harmony*: When several reports make the news of the important cities of Tokyoat, Moooskow, Prarie, New Yoke, Melbark, and Trotford getting nearly demolished over the matter of a few nights, the Elements of Harmony find themselves being sent to solve the cities' problems, as a diplomatic measure by the Princesses. But just what has caused the destruction, and will the Elements be enough to stop them?
*Working title and a joke on the over-use of the 'v.s.' in Japanese film. Release title will be The Elements of Harmony v.s. The Kaiju
Obvious crossover with the Toho kaiju movies.
Doctor Whooves: A Cruel Joak: Doctor Whooves had been asked by Queen Faust herself to help her undo a mistake she made long ago. It would have easy work, but fate has other plans, when he runs into a musical pony duo.
The main plot of this fic, slimmed down to allow for elaboration.
Taloneightor: All is calm in Ponyville until reports of ponies suddenly dying from gunshot wounds in various parts of the town, around the same time as a strange hippogriff moving into town forces the Princesses to have the Elements of Harmony solve the problem.
Terminator crossover.
Press X to Dash: After Rainbow Dash suffers from a nearly fatal crash after having Twilight cast a new spell on her newly bought flight armor, results in the pegasus being fused with the flight armor. What's more, her wings are gone, and in their stead a large metal horn is sprouting from her head. Now she has to readjust to life without flight, and along the way, discover the strange new abilities her accident has given her.
I think you can guess what this crosses over with.
Climb the Shatterthorn: A new, massive tree springs up in Everfree Forest, and Celestia tasks the Elements of Harmony with climbing to the tree's peak. Just what oddities await them up there?
Recounting the fate of the tree from last chapter, which was hit by a meteor.
The New Sophonts on the Block: When a Dog scientist comes across a new species of ape, he learns that they seem to have the beginnings of a culture. Written in third person, with first-person notes by the scientist interspersed throughout.
starts of as a Slice of Life, but soon becomes Survival-Horror.
Cutie Mark Crusaders: Operation Buck Up that Buck: When an odd duo moves into Ponyville, a griffon who seems overly enthusiastic about being here, and disgruntled deer who seems to be unable to speak Equestrian, it's up to Scootaloo and the other Crusaders, plus Pinkie Pie, to turn the buck's frown upside-down.
What would've happened with the deer and griffon that were headed to Ponyville last chapter.
Visitors from Planet RSE-386: The South Pole, Antlertica. Scientists are studying and odd field of meteors that have crashed into the ice. Cut to seven years later. Aurora are reported being seen over Ponyville. Nopony says anything until one Winter night when seven bizarre beings descend from the sky. the Princesses order Twilight and Friends to make the visitors at home, which leads to some hilarious intercultural differences.
A crossover, but the crossover is a secret, hinted at only in the title. Also a continuation of what would've happened to the meteor that crashed in the mountains.
Flowers for Angel Bunny: A third person retelling of Flowers for Algernon, focusing on Derpy Hooves. At the end of each chapter there will be a page from Derpy's journal.
Again, sorry if you all wanted to see this story finished, but it works better if it was cut up this way.
