Chapter 2: Ch. 1 - Vladimus

Ch. 1 - Vladimus

"Hey." I said to the pony in front of me.

"Hey." she mirrored back to me.

I smiled at her and she did the same back to me. I looked around and saw that we were standing in what looked like a park of some sort. There was also a set of charis and a table nearby, compelte with a chess set on top of the table. It was amazing how the gold of Aviania was able to make all of this seem so real. Almost too real.

"Maybe we should take a seat." I told the pony in front of me, while pointing at the table and charis. She eagerily agreed and bounded over to the cahirs and table and took a seat right away. I had to keep reminding myself that whatever happened is not real, no matter how convincing it may seem.

"So today is our second aniversary" the dark pony in front of me told me.

I smiled, for I knew that if I was to get out of this simulation, I had to play their game.

"Oh I know", I lied, smiling at her with such sincerity. "That's why we're here."

I then extended my hoofs out and held hers and she responded with a soft giggle.

"Oh Daring...how 'daring' of you..hehe"

I wanted to softly chuckle at her response for my mind started becoming flooded with memories of us being together but I remembered that the Soviets were still watching and I suppressed it. Instead, I just continued smiling, giving the pony in front of me the best googily eyes I could.

"Anything for you Vlad" I almost purred to her.

I then used my wings and hovered over the table, carefully flying over Vlad's head. I then leaned in and kissed her on the forehead, to which she unexpectedly grabbed my face and re-directed it to hers.

"Woah Vlad!" I exclaimed, as my cheeks became rosy.

She continued to kiss me and even closed her eyes but I did not close mine. Instead, I started looking around the park, trying to notice where the actual walls were. I noticed that just further down the path we were on was a lake and I couldn't help to notice that the lake itself was incredibly still. I then thought of an idea to get Vlad and myself out of the simulation.

"Hey honey! Maybe we should kiss by the lake! It would be more romantic down there!" I told Vlad sincerely, pushing my face away from hers in the best way I could to not hurt her feelings.

She gave me a look of curiosity, looked to where I was pointing and then looked back to me in delight. She immediately grabbed my hoof and dragged me towards the lake as fast as she could.

"Oh boy, this is gonna hurt" I told myself, as I braced myself for impact.

Just as I had expected, both Vlad and I slammed head on to the invisible wall that was just short of the lake.

"OW! What the- how come we can't go to the lake!" Vlad pleaded to me, as she started feeling the invisible wall in front of us.

Bilet. They found out it is simulation. Dammit. Shut it off! SHUT IT OFF!

Vlad looked towards the sky for the voice that was booming overhead and she looked back at me.

"What's happening honey? Honey?" she asked me.

I wanted to tell her but I knew it was better if I hadn't. Vlad trotted over to me and hugged me tightly as we saw the edges of the sky and park start to melt off, revealing a very grim reality. The lake itself was torn in two as a huge ugly door emerged out of it. The tables and chairs themselves became nothing but  a dark and lifeless shell of its former self. Eventually the entire simulation came to an end and both myself and Vlad fell down to the ground, passing out from the simulation's termination.
