Joseph's Apartment

In Joseph's apartment, Joseph is sleeping on his couch while the TV's on. He was wearing his white tank top and blue jeans. Beer cans was on the floor which means he was drunk. Few seconds later, his phone started ringing in his pocket which woke him up. He was getting annoyed by his phone. He slowly reached the phone in his pocket, pulled it out of his pocket and answered it.

"What?" Said Joseph.

"Hey it's Paul." answered a man on the phone.

"Paul who?"

"Are you drunk again?"

"Maybe."

"Paul Johnson, your team leader. The one who always saving your ass on the field. Ring any bells?"

"Oh." He said with both of his eyes wide opened.

"Now you remember."

"So what is it that you want, sir?"

"You should check the news."

With that said, Joseph sat up, grabbed the remote and changed the channel from SyFy to the news. On the news channel, it talking about African Rebels invading villages in and killing every civilians on sight.

"Are we being deployed?"

"Correct." Paul answered.

"When?"

"Your flight leaves at seven. So you better get ready."

"Roger."

As Joseph hanged up the phone, he turned off the television, got off the couch, take a quick shower in the bathroom, got dressed and began packing his things, he even packed his Glock 17 OD Green that was under his pillow. Then he found a picture on his night stand. He picked it up and began to feel emotional. It was a picture of him and his wife while she was pregnant in Japan. As he kissed his photo, he folded it up and put it in his pocket and left is room. Before he leaves,  he turns his lights off and closed the door.

Nigeria, West Africa

Village

Viking mercenaries mission is to guard a village of refugees. It was eight man job. Two cover the north entrance, two cover the south, two cover the east and two cover the west. Joseph is covering the north side of the village with one of his team leader who works for Viking also. His name is Paul Johnson. He was an ex-marine for six years until he was honorably discharged for his leg. He was hit by an IED and had his leg amputated and replaced with a prosthetic leg. His weapon of choice is AK-47 variant is fitted with a King Arms Quad Rail (KA-SK-05) handguard, IO Inc SCOP0040 scope mount and T6 stock adaptor, along with what appears to be a Vltor IMod Stock. and Joseph's weapon of choice is an M4A1 fitted flip-up iron sights, EOTech Holographic sight, M203 grenade launcher and a desert camouflaged stock and pistol grip and have ten magazines for it in his tactical vest. He also carry his Glock 17 OD Green in his holster and four mags for it in his vest. Few moments later, he get a call on his radio from Chris Mason, a teammate of Joseph who is guarding the east side of the entrance.

"Johnson, Hamada do you copy over?" Said Chris Mason.

"Lima Charlie, Chris what's up?" Johnson asked

"How's your side?"

"Good for now. Yours?"

"Same. Man it's been six days and we haven't shot a damn thing."

"Hey keep your eyes open. There is a chance that they may ambush us. Our job is to make sure nothing happens to these villagers. Clear?"

"Copy. Chris out."

After Chris got off the radio, Johnson then called north and south side guards on his radio to see how they were doing.

"North, South. How are you guys?"

"North side good." Said his teammate on the north side.

After the call, a mortar round hit a house behind Joseph and Paul.

"WHAT THE FUCK?!" Joseph yelled.

"ALL UNITS! ALL UNITS THIS IS CHRIS! WE GOT A PROBLEM!" Said Chris on the radio. "THE REBELS ARE HERE! I GOT A MAN DOWN AND I'M TAKING FIRE OVER HERE! I NEED HELP ASAP!"

Paul got into my radio and called Chris.

"Sit tight me and Joseph are on our way."

"ROGER! JUST HURRY THE FUCK UP, PLEASE!"

Paul then called the other teammates.

"North, South get evacuate the villagers now!"

"What about you, sir?!"

"Don't worry we'll be fine just get these people out of here!"

As Paul got off the radio, him and Joseph ran towards the east side of the village. They see everyone running and panicking and mortar rounds hitting everywhere. Some these people were hit by mortars. Paul and Joseph were yelling everyone to evacuate the village and follow their other teammates and they listened. As soon as they made to the east entrance...they were too late. They just witness, Chris get shot in the head and fell to the ground.

"FUCK!" Joseph swore when he just saw Chris Mason and Jacob Tanner both dead.

Those two were one of the best operators Joseph knew...now they're gone. Joseph and Paul then see rebel fighters moving into the east entrance and opening fire on Paul and Joseph.

"HOLD THE LINE!" Paul yelled and then both of them went to a crouch position open fire on the rebels.

Both of them were fighting and killing the rebels. They were dropping every rebel they see on their sights but more and more were coming towards them.

"LOADING!" Yelled Paul.

When Paul ran out of ammo, one of the got lucky Paul shot in the head. Joseph just lost a friend who always saves his life. Now it only Joseph. As he fight the rebels, one of his teammates called him.

"Hey Joseph, Paul! We've evacuated the villagers! Now it's your turn to get out of there!" said one of teammates on the radio.

"NEGATIVE! I'LL TRY TO HOLD THEM OFF AS MUCH AS I CAN!"  Said Joseph.

"But Joseph-"

Before his teammate could finish his sentence, he turned my radio off and continued to fight. He didn't care what will happen to him. The rest of his team will be going home except for him. He had nothing left back home. Which means he's expendable. As he was fighting to hold out the militia, one of the militia got lucky and shot him in the head. Is this really the end of him? As soon everything went dark, he then heard a voice a motherly female voice.

"Don't worry, Takeda Martin. It is not your time your time."

In Fluttershy's Cottage, Fluttershy was still sleeping in her bedroom until something was tapping her face. Fluttershy slowly opens her eyes and found out who was waking her up. It was Angel with a smile on his face.

"Oh good morning, Angel. Are you ready for breakfast." She asked.

The rabbit replied by nodding his head.

"Alright. Let me take my shower and get dressed first."

After the rabbit got off the bed and went straight towards the kitchen, Fluttershy got up from beneath the bed covers and made her way into her bathroom. She took a nice shower and put on a pink dress. When she got out of the bathroom she went downstairs toward the kitchen and feed Angel. After feeding Angel some carrots, she thought that she may skip breakfast today. Suddenly there was a knock on the front door. When she went to it and opened it, it was Rainbow Dash.  

"Morning Fluttershy." Said Rainbow Dash.

"Oh good morning, Rainbow Dash." Said Fluttershy. "What brings you here?"

"To see my best friend of course and I want to know if you want to walk with me."

"Where are we going?"

"Just a walk in the Everfree Forest."

"I-In the E-Everfree F-Forest?" She said in a scared tone.

"Yeah just you and me."

"Oh I don't know..."

"Oh come on Fluttershy. I'm gonna be with you for the whole time. I'll make sure nothing happens to you. I promised."

"Well...alright I guess."

Both of them came out of the house and started walking through the Everfree Forest to have a nice walk together.

Joseph can feel the grass pressing against his back, a sign that he is still alive. But he can't be alive. He should be dead. He slowly open his eyes fully and took a good look at His surroundings. He is in the middle of a strange forest.

"Where am I? How did I get here? Did my team make it out with the villagers safely?" A lot of questions were going through his mind. "Most importantly...how am I still alive?"

He did remember getting shot in the head. He placed his hand on his forehead and felt no mark. Weird.

"At least I have my gear with me." Joseph said to himself. He got up and began calling his team.

"Hamada to team respond over." He said on the radio but no one responded. "Team respond over." Yet again no one as answered. The only thing he heard was static.

His thoughts are that he don't have any signal here in this forest and I hope that my team nor the villagers are dead. He then started walking around to see if there's a town near by. Joseph hope that he don't end up in a militia base. He moving through thick vines and shrubbery. He don't see any animals in this forest which is weird. He then heard someone yelling Rainbow near by. It sounded like a female voice. He followed the voice and started speaking to the person who was yelling Rainbow.

"Hello?!" Joseph yelled. "Hello?!"

The singing stopped and he lost track where the sound came from.

"Damn." Said Joseph.

"W-Who are you?" Said a soft female voice behind Joseph.

The person was behind him. Joseph put his hands up to show the person behind him that he is not a treat. He slowly turned around and could not believed of what he is seeing. It was some kind of creature with yellow fur, pink mane and tail, wings and was wearing a pink dress. She was shocked when she saw him and Joseph was shocked when he saw her.

"Um...hi." Said the creature.

"What the f-"

Before Joseph could finish his sentence, he get hit in the back of the head by something. He dropped to the ground and slowly becoming unconscious.

Fluttershy was surprised that the creature was knocked out by Rainbow Dash. She may not know what it is but she knows that it was wrong for Rainbow Dash to hurt it.

"Are you alright, Fluttershy?" Asked Rainbow Dash.

"Rainbow Dash why did you do that?!" Said Fluttershy in a upset mood.

"What? You don't know what he may do to you. I matter of fact...what is it?"

"I-I don't know. I never seen this creature before in my life."

"What do you think we should do with it?"

"Well I think that we should take it to my house and bring Twilight to figure out what it is."

"Are you sure, Fluttershy? This thing maybe dangerous."

"I'm positive. Now please help me take it to the house."

Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy picked up the unknown creature and took it to Fluttershy's cottage.

He sat up and was sitting on the edge of the bed rubbing the back of his head feeling pain and began scanning his surroundings. He was on a bed, in some sort of wooden room. He then noticed that his gear is gone. His M4, pistol and his tactical vest are gone but he was still wearing his Khaki Propper Tactical Long Sleeved Battlerip Dress Shirt, Black EMERSON Gen2 style Tactical Pants and his combat boots. He got off the bed and came out of the room and then heard someone humming in the kitchen. It was a female voice. As he makes his way towards the kitchen, he then was surprised to see something. It was the same creature from the forest and it was cooking. It then stops when it saw Joseph.

“Oh my... You're awake.” Said the unknown creature. "I was about to fix you something to eat."

"W-What are you?"

"I'm a Pegasus." She answered. "What are you?"

"Human." Joseph answered. "So where am I?"

"You're in my cottage."

"No I mean where am I? What country is this?"

"Well you're in Equestria which is outside of Ponyville.”

"Ponyville? Equestria?" Said Joseph in his thoughts.

Joseph could not believe that he's in another world. He felt like he was about to throw up.

"You're not from here are you?" The Pegasus asked.

"No." Joseph answered.

"Listen I'm very sorry of what my friend did to you in the Everfree Forest. She thought you were going to hurt me."

"Trust me. I won't."

He might as well would like to know the Pegasus name. It probably wanted to know his name also.

"So who are you?" Asked Joseph.

"I'm Fluttershy." Said the creature.

"Nice to meet you, Fluttershy. I'm Joseph. Joseph Hamada."
