(The Chapel)

After making her way passed the destroyed hallway, Kaoru made her way to the front door of the chapel. Just as she was about to open the door to the room, she heard a voice coming from the other side of it. “My dear sweet darling, everything is just as I imagined it~”. Peeking through the front door’s keyhole, Kaoru saw a man that had brown hair and a dark eye. His other eye was pure white, surrounded by flesh that looked almost burnt. Next to the man was a blonde woman who was sobbing. Her mouth duct taped shut while wearing only a brides dress covered in blood. Her hands and feet were tied behind her back tightly. From what Kaoru could guess, the woman was Aya from looking over the image of the woman from before. “Soon we shall be bound in marriage. And soon after, our children will be born~” He said caressing her face, which Aya attempted to avoid feebly, almost tiredly.

“Do you see the target?” Moondancer asked.

“Yeah, and it looks like I she being forced to marry some creepy old guy.” Kaoru said, as she lifted up her quinque. “I’m getting ready to enter and take the guy out as soon as possible.”

“Inform me on how Aya is after you take care of the guy. She may look fine, but we don’t know if they done anything to her while she was stuck in this place.”

“Understood.” Ending the conversation, Kaoru pulled away from the door for a moment before busting it down with her quinque with one strike. “Sorry ugly, but there’s not going to be a marriage today.” She said, causing the man and Aya to look behind themselves to see the ghoul standing in the doorway. Looking over the room, Kaoru looked over at Aya who eyes were lit up with relief when she saw her. She to mumbled something unintelligible through the tape, but Kaoru could tell that she was glad that she came just in time to save her..

 “You, weird looking guy with the damaged skin.” Kaoru said as she pointed her quinque at the man. “Step away from the hot woman, or else I’ll be smashing your face in with my weapon.”

“You bitch! This was supposed to be a perfect day!” The man screamed, scratching his head vigorously. “She’s mine! You could have also been with me, but you have clearly shown your colors.”

“Ew! Why would I want to be with some creepy old dude who lives in a creepy ass asylum. If you don’t hand her over, then I’m gonna kick your ass. What will it be idiot?”

“And here’s my counter offer.” The man said as he pulled out a butcher knife. “ You become one of my brides or die!”

“Guess I’ll have to knock some sense into you then.”  Kaoru said as she quickly started to charge at the man while moving left and right to get him to lower his guard. The Groom soon reached into his holster as he pulled out a glock pistol and started firing at the ghoul with surprising accuracy. Kaoru quickly used her quinque to block the bullets as best as she can as she took cover beside a row of seats. “You’re not so bad when it comes to aiming. Tell me, what’s your name.”

“Eddie Gluskin, darling~.” He answered, as he started to reload his pistol.

“Ew, the way he says his name is even more creepier than his offer.” Kaoru shook her heard Eddie’s foot step heading towards her. Reaching into her trench coat, the ghoul pulled out a small smoke bomb as she waited for the right moment to toss it into his face. “You know it’s not too late to take up my offer. No one has to get hurt.”

“And my offer still stands bitch. So what’s it going to be?” Eddie said as he finish reloading his gun as he took aim.

“No thanks, I’m not into polygamy.” Kaoru darted to the left as she quickly tossed a smoke bomb into Eddie’s eyes. Screaming in pain from the stinging sensation of the small bomb exploded into his eyes, Eddie began to fire off random shots into the chapel hoping that he was able to hit Kaoru or at least kill her. During this time, the ghoul took this as a sign as she quickly charge at Eddie as she jumped midway towards him. To her surprise, she notice that the gun was aimed at her as two bullets shot out of the pistol and headed towards her. Only for her to deflect them with her quinque and hit Eddie on the side of his head, causing him to tumble to his side as his head hit the ground hard.

“That should keep you down for a while.” Kaoru said as she slowly walked over to the unconscious man to make sure he was knocked out. Lightly kicking him, the only thing she heard from him was the sound of him breathing. With a shrug, the girl turned her attention towards Aya as she walked over to her and slowly removed the tape covering her mouth.

“You okay?” Kaoru asked as Aya nodded yes.

 “I’m…Kinda high…”

“Crap, did he drug you during your kidnapping?” The ghoul asked as she started to untie the woman’s hands and feet

“I…Think so…” Aya said, stretching her limbs out for a moment before falling face first onto Kaoru’s chest.

“Geez, they really did a number on you huh?”

“I want out of here. My head hurts. I want clean clothes. And underwear…” Aya grumbled as she felt Kaoru place her on her back.

“I’ll take you back to HQ so Adagio can make sure you’re back to normal. Adagio, can you hear me?”

“Yeah I hear you. What’s wrong?”

“I found Aya Brea, but she’s been drugged. I’m bringing her into the League’s HQ for you to have a look at her.”

“Got it. But you might want to hurry, That big guy from before is heading your way, and he is not happy about you ditching him on the bottom floor after that thing you did.”

“Great, this is going to complicate things.” Kaoru said as she lifted Aya off her feet bridle style. “Where’s Maud?”

“She said she had to leave the mission seeing how she found two of her sister in this place. Sorry but you’re on your own on this.”

“Wouldn’t be the first time I have to do something like this.” Just as she was about to leave, Kaoru heard Eddie moaning as she turn around to see him waking up from his head trama.

 “Oh god…Where am I? What’s...going on…?” Eddie said as he tried to scratch his head. Just as he was about to do that, his eyes widened upon noticing the glock pistol in his hand as he quickly dropped it. “W-What have I done?”

 “Moondancer, what is up with this guy?”

“Hm, let me have a look at him.” Kaoru aimed her communicator at Eddie as a blue light appeared and started to scan him. “He’s suffering from multiple personality disorder after scanning his brain. Not to mention looking through some of the surveillance cameras…..it’s not something that we might not be willing to let him go off scot free. I mean he literally killed a lot of ponies in here. Not to mention that he raped a few-”

“Okay Moondancer that’s enough.” Kaoru said as she ended communication with her for the moment. Just as she turned her attention at Eddie, she notice that he was walking away. “Where are you going?” She asked, only for him to remain silent as he walks out of the chapel.

“Aren’t you going to go kill him?” Moondancer asked.

“Normally I would, but as of this point I’m not in the mood to deal with him.” The ghoul said as she adjusted herself so that Aya would be more comfortable. “I get the feeling that he’s in the same boat as I was a while back. For now I’ll leave him be until he does something.” She said as she made her way out of the chapel. “I’m making my way out of the Asylum.”

“Roger that, I’ll inform Adagio to prep the operation room ready.”

“Alright Aya, hang on tight.” Kaoru said as she felt Aya hold onto her. Taking a runner’s position, Kaoru bolted off down the hall as she started to make her way to the lobby floor of the Asylum. “How’s my escape route Moondancer?”

“You’re in the clear on the floor you’re on, but the guy you were fighting that slammed you through the wall is waiting for you down at the lobby.”

“How the hell does he know I’m heading down there?”

“Don’t know, but you’ll need to deal with him if you want to leave this place with Aya. I would help, but I’m taking care of the pony that you had me rescue.”

“Just keep an eye out for anyone else that is heading my way during the fight. I prefer not to have Aya being taken away while I’m fighting.”

“Roger.”

(Lobby floor)

After taking the elevator down from the second floor, Kaoru exits the elevator as she walks over to the front desk and placed Aya there for the time begin. “This shouldn’t take long. Just wait here for the time being, and we’ll leave this place.” Turning around, Kaoru lifted her quinque into her hands as she walked over to where the monstrous man from before was standing. Narrowing her eyes at him as hein turn does the same. “Moondancer, any kind of information on this guy?”

“From the files I looked up on this place, that guy’s name is Chris Walker.”

“Wait you mean this guy is related to Lance?”

“I don’t know really. If is related to him, then we’ll apologise to him the next time we meet him. But for now, just take him out.”

“Right…” Cracking her neck, Kaoru charged at Chris as in turn caused Chris to charge at her slowly but with enough force to plow through a wall. Halfway through the charge, Kaoru slide through the gap in between his legs as she appeared behind him and hit him from on his back. Causing him to tumble forwards. In anger, Chris slammed his fist onto the floor causing a small fist like crater on the floor as he pulls himself up and tried to surprise attack her. Kaoru quickly ducked out of the way of the punch as she countered with a multiple jabs to his face with her quinque.

“I’M GOING TO KILL YOU!!!” Chris yelled as he grabbed Kaoru’s weapon during mid jab and tossed her into the air causing her to lose her grip and land against the upper wall of the lobby room. As Kaoru was falling toward the floor, Chris quickly used her own weapon against her as he picked it up, rush over to where she was falling, and hit her in the abdomen as she was sent flying through the wooden column.

“F-Fuck...that really hurts…” Trying to pull herself up from the floor, Kaoru saw Chris quickly heading towards her with her weapon in his hand as he was ready to crush her head with it. The Ghoul quickly reached into her trench coat as she aimed it at the wall a few feet away from. Pressing the trigger she was quickly dragged out of the way before Chris crush her head with her own weapon. Turn his head to the left, he quickly gave chase after the ghoul as she tossed a smoke bomb into his eyes. Causing him yell in pain as he lashed out at nothing. “Didn’t think he was that tough to do damage to.”

“Well he is kinda built to be tough. But even though he’s like this, he’s still human.” Adagio said as digital face of herself appeared in front of Kaoru.

“I’m pretty sure he doesn’t classified as human anymore.”

“True, but he still has the body structure of one. All you have to do is cut at the tendons in his arms and legs and he’ll be falling like a fat pony on prom night.”

“And where do I find the locations of the tendons?”

“Pretty much in these locations.” The siren answered as she showed a digital screen of the human body with arrow pointed to the shoulder and back part of the legs..

“Alright.” Kaoru reached into her pocket as she pulled out a small combat knife. “Shouldn’t be that hard to do.” She said as she charged at Chris. Just as the man was beginning to regain his vision, he saw Kaoru heading towards him as he tried to strike her down. Only for her to jump out of the way and dug her knife into his shoulder blade. Putting her weight onto the knife for a moment, Kaoru quickly pulled the knife out as she jumps off of him and lands behind him. Turning around she saw that his left arm went limp as he dropped her weapon to the ground. Chris tried to pick it up, but was soon yelling in pain from Kaoru shooting him in the other shoulder with her grappling hook.

“Not gonna happen buddy.” The Ghoul said as she pressed the trigger to pull the hook out of his shoulder and used it again to bring her weapon back to herself. “Little bit of a heads up. You should never take away a person’s weapon.” Without even looking at her quinque, Kaoru press the red button at the tip of the shaft as it soon split in two as it transformed into two heavy blades. “Especially when she can use them much better then you can.” As the monstrous human began to charge at her, Kaoru took up a fighting stance as she quickly moved out of the way of the charging human and slashed his left leg off.Causing him to fall face first onto the floor. During his face plant, she quickly jumped into the air and slammed the tips of her swords into his shoulders and quickly cut off his arms.

“Normally I would leave you alive, but I don’t want to take any chances with you.” Kaoru said as she quickly brought one of her swords near his neck and cut his head clean off from his body.

“Not bad Kaoru. Even when you have a broken left rib cage.”

“Thanks god for the weapon you gave me. Otherwise this would’ve ended a whole lot different than how it is now.” Kaoru said as her quinque transformed back into a suitcase and placed it on her back. She then jumped off of the corpse of Chris Walker as she walked over to Aya as she picked her up bridal style. “Now let’s get you back to HQ.” Just as she was about to make her leave, a familiar voice caused her to pause as she turned to her left.

“Oh, it’s you…” Rotten Core said.

“I figure you would’ve been gone by now. Why are you still here?”

“We’re just leaving.” said a new voice as Kaoru looked over Rotten Core to see a cyan colored unicorn mare with different shades of purple. Her eyes were covered by a pair of goggles similar to that of Rotten Core had on. Next to her was a light greyish blue earth pony with a white and faded light blue mane. Her goggles were strangely white, unlike the others. “Nice to meet you face to face.”

“Care to introduce yourselves?”

“You want our real names, or our codenames?”

“Codenames. I prefer not to have unwanted ponies to try and figure out who you really are.”

“Fine, my codename is Hack. But my real name is Massacre. The mare you met moments ago is Rotten Core, but her real name is Vile. And the pony beside me is named Bluntforce.”

“....I hate to ask your parents why they choose names like that to give to their children. But I’ll leave that question alone until the next time we meet. For the time being, I thank you for helping me with the trap near the chapel.”

“Don’t thank us. We only did it because we need some help. That is all.”

“These guys are villains…” Aya muttered. “The yellow one is a well known villain...I read up that she was a Power…Whatever…”

“Mind my friend here. They drugged her with something that I don’t even know.”

“She’s right though…” Bluntforce said bluntly as Massacre hit her upside her head.

“Shut up, dummy.”

“Well whether it was for good intention or not. I thank you for helping me. Now if you’ll excuse me, I must be off.” Turning her attention back at the doorway, Kaoru began to make her way outside as she started to make her way back to the League of Vigilante home base.
