(A few days later)

“So how are you holding up Kaoru?” asked Moondancer as she landed next to her partner.

“Okay I guess….still feels weird that I’m somewhat human again.”

“I have to say, that Ember person that visited a while back really did a good job when it came to patching you back up. It’s almost like you’re back to normal. Well minus the red eye and black & white hair.”

“She could’ve at least told me about the side effect of that weird magic thing she just did.” Kaoru said as her kagune appeared, giving her a fox like appearance.

“It’s not so bad. You look kinda cute with that new look of yours…hold on, do you wear glasses?”

“Sometimes, but I mostly use them for reading. Why did you ask-?” Before she could finish, Moondancer placed a pair of glasses onto her face.

“Aw, you’re even cuter like this.”

“Why are you my partner again?”

“Because we’re the newest members of the group.”

“.....Whatever. Anyway what did Chrysalis want us to do this time?”

“It’s kind of a request from Derpy really.” Moondancer said as she handed her a digital screen with a woman’s face on it.

“Woman’s name is Aya Brea, she a new member of mist over in New Yoke. Apparently she went missing for some time, and Chrysalis wants you to investigate the last known place that she was last seen at.”

“Mount Massive Asylum? Why would someone bring her into a place full of crazy ponies?”

“We don’t why she’s in there, but that’s the last place somepony said she was seen in. Your mission is simple. Go into the asylum and rescue Aya Brea. Once you’ve done that contact Chrysalis and inform her that you finish your mission.”

“Why do I need to do that?”

“Because we’re gonna blow this motherbucker to ground once you’re done.”

“Well that answered one of my questions. How am I going to get there? I can’t really get by on foot that quickly.”

“Press the button the the screen and you’ll be teleported to the asylum. You’ll also meet your partner from the Hero Association to back you up.”

“Okay, I’ll be back in a few hours or so.” Kaoru said as she teleported off after pressing the button on the screen.

(Mount Massive Asylum)

“Well…..talk about horror movie scene 101.” Kaoru said as she jumped over the gate. “Okay, so my new partner for this mission should be here. Where hell is he or she?”

“I’m right behind you.” Upon hearing that voice from behind her, Kaoru jumped into a tree out of fear. “You must be the Maretropolis Ghoul that the association’s been tracking.”

“Former ghoul!” Kaoru said as she landed next to the gray pony with dark lavender color mane. “Mind explaining who you are miss?”

“Maud Pie, I’m was sent here by the association to help you in rescuing Aya Brea.”

“Oh…..Wait you wouldn’t happen to be related to Pinkie Pie would you?”

“Yes.”

“Really?” Kaoru said as she eyed the pony up and down. “It’s kinda hard to tell that you’re her sister. What with you not being as hyperactive then she is.”

“I get that a lot.” Maud said as she trotted over to the entrance of the asylum. “We should get going. We don’t want anyone to see us and inform the others.”

“Right, lord knows we don’t want to waste our energy on a pointless battle.” Just as Maud open the door the asylum, a mare with a dirty pink mane and blue coat yelled as she ran for the door.

“Run away! We’re all doomed!”

“.....What the fuck was that all about?” Kaoru asked, only for Maud to shrug to her question. “I’m a bit paranoid on going in here now.”

“You know Chrysalis won’t like that you abandoned your mission.”

“Really? I didn’t know that.” Kaoru said sarcastically. “Let’s just get this shit over with.” She said as she open the door. Upon opening the door, Kaoru’s eyes widen as she saw someone or something eating the body of a dead person. As the door behind to duo closed, the human looked behind himself as he quickly ran off into the build after seeing the pony and ghoul. “Oh I am so going on a long paid vacation after this.”

“Do you know where to find Aya?” Maud asked as Kaoru pulled out a digital map of the asylum.

“From what intell told me, she’s on the third floor. Shouldn’t be that hard if we just sneak around without getting noticed by some of the crazies here. Then again, they’ll pretty much see us as figments of their imagination.”

“Any other ideas?”

“Well we could just go where she is underneath us, make a hole large enough for us to reach her?”

“If you can point me to where she is on the top floor, I can punch my way through the floor so we can reach her.”

“Alright, the map says it’s down the hallway to the right.” Kaoru said as she pulled out a buster like quinque from her suitcase that she had on her back. “Let’s go.”

“That’s not wise…” said a male’s voice filling the room. Kaoru and Maud looked to their left to see a man wearing a monk robe walking across the balcony.  “The children are sleeping… And the couple are, too~”

“I don’t know who you are old man, but you better stay out of our way in rescuing Aya Brea.” Kaoru said as she pointed her weapon at the priest.

“Don’t you mean Aya Gluskin?”

“What do you mean by Gluskin old man? That’s not her last name.”

“I do have a name you know? It’s Father Martin.”

“Answer the question old man, or else I’m going to kick your ass.” Kaoru ordered as her quinque started to glow bright.

“She is to be married tomorrow!” Father Martin said while giving them a creepy smile. “Once they’re married, they’ll live out their wonderful lives here in our home.”

“I don’t like the sound of that.” Maud said as she motion Kaoru to move. “We’re wasting time with him, we need to find Aya before something bad happens to her.”

“You don’t have to tell me that twice.” Kaoru said as she made a clone of herself. “Stay behind and make sure the exit is cleared. If you see anyone that isn’t a friend or innocent bystander, kill them.” The clone nodded as the duo ran off towards said location

“It is not time yet.” Priest said as he summoned the mis shape, broken, and torn up people of the asylum. “Children. You must descend, not rise. Go down and wake the children, it’s time to rise and stop the intruders from stopping the wedding.”

“Okay, so where the hell do we go from here?” Kaoru asked as they stopped in the middle of the hallway.

“We could always go down?” Maud suggested.

“Unless you can punch your way through solid wood/stone floors, then be my guess.” As Kaoru was thinking of a way to quickly move down to the third floor. Her train of thought was broken as she heard the sound of something breaking. As she turned around, she noticed a hole in the floor next to her caused by Maud. “....How did you.”

“I lived on a rock farm.”

“.....Okay….guess we don’t need to take the elevator down then huh?” Kaoru said as she looked down into the hole. “You sure this will lead us downstairs?”

“Won’t know until we go down their.” Maud said as she jumped down into the hole. Kaoru in turn followed the pony as she too jumped down the hole. As they made it to bottom of the hole, their vision fade due to the lack of light. The only light that was visible was the light coming from the hole Maud made.

“It so dark, I can’t see shit down here.”

“Oh no, what a nightmare.”

“....Was that a joke?”

“You tell me?”

“.....Never mind. Give me a second to get my flare out.” Kaoru said as she reached into her pocket to pull out a flare stick and light it. As the room began to fill up with light, Kaoru was taken by surprise by the room they were in. From what she could tell, the room was filled with dead body part of either humans or ponies. What made it worse was the fact that floor and room had either blood dripping from the walls or had piece of flesh hanging from the chains. “Well….this is something you don’t see everyday.”

“I don’t think Aya’s in this room.”

“Really? What gave that away?” Kaoru asked sarcastically.

“Well it could be the fact that the trail of torn clothing leads to the door over there.” Maud said as she pointed at the trail of clothing.

“I was being sarcastic about my question...but never mind. Come on, let’s head out before something weird happens.” Just as they were about to leave the room. The duo heard a disturbing voice coming from behind them.

“What do we have here? More toys to play with?” As the two looked behind themselves, they notice a mare with white maned, yellow eyed, and grey coated standing underneath the light from the hole Maud made.

“Who the hell are you?”

“Your death.” The mare said as she appeared behind Kaoru and kicked her in the back. This caused her to stagger forward as she turned around and tried to hit the mare with her quinque. Only for her to teleport out of the way as she appeared on one of the chain dangling from the ceiling. “You gotta try harder than that if you want to hit me-.” The teleporting mare was cut short as Maud appeared behind her and punched her in the face sending her flying into the wall.

 “Nice sucker punch Maud.”

“Maud…” The mare said as she quickly recovered from her face plant into the wall. ““Maud Maud Maud, always favorite! Her and Pink one!”

”....Limestone?” Maud said as she slowly walk toward the mare. “Is that you?”

“Who’s Limestone?” Kaoru asked.

“She’s my sister.”

“I’m no Limestone.” Limestone said as she teleported behind Maud and kicked her in the face. “I’m Blinkie!”

“That’s your sister? Geez, what the hell happen to her?” Kaoru asked as she tried to hit Limestone with a left hook, only for her to teleport out of the way.

“Don’t know.” Maud said as she paid close attention to how Limestone is teleporting. “Keep her distracted. I have an idea on how to deal with her.” The earth pony said as she made her way to the door of the room.

“Please do.” Kaoru said as she dodge one of Limestones kicks. “Because it’s very hard not to hit her without accidentally killing or cutting a limb off.”

“You can’t hit me,” Limestone said as she appeared above Kaoru delivering a downwards kick to the head before teleporting off again. Only for her to appear below the ghoul as she kicked her in the face, sending her onto the floor. “What’s the matter human? Can’t keep up with me?”

“Oh you are so dead!” Kaoru said as she summoned her kagune to try and attack the teleporting earth pony. Limestone simply teleported out of the way, appeared above her, and slammed her hooves onto Kaoru’s abdomen knocking the wind out of her.

“Weak.” Limestone said as she pulled out a sharp but rusty knife. “Now you die!” Just as Limestone was about to sink the knife into the ghouls heart, the metal door from the room they were slammed into Limestone as it sent her flying into the wall.

“.....You do know that knife wasn’t going to hurt me or anything.” Kaoru said as she stood up from the floor. “Plus, don’t you think that was a bit much.”

“It was either that or hit her with boulder.” Maud said as she pulled her pet rock from her pocket.

“.....Fair enough I guess.” Kaoru shrugged as she walked over to the knocked out pony. “What are we gonna do with her? We can’t just leave her here knowing that she might come after us.”

“I’ll take her back up to the entrance.” Maud said as she picked up the unconscious pony. “You’ll have to go on a head. I’ll try to catch up with you in a bit.” The rock pony said as she made her way up to the first floor through the hole she made seconds ago.

“Okay then.” Kaoru said as she exits the room. “Now if I was a chapel, where would I be?” She said thinking for a moment before deciding on where to go. “Guess I’ll have to find a map or something that leads me to it.” With a quick look around, Kaoru bolted to the nearest place that could help her find the missing police woman. Unknowing to the ghoul someone or something was trailing behind her, while keeping his presence hidden.
