Two weeks have passed since the Fall Formal Incident of Canterlot High. The person responsible for the event, Sunset Shimmer, was punished by the school for her sadistic actions. She and her little goons, Snips and Snails, were sentenced to repair the entire front entrance of the school, which she destroyed during the incident. After about five days of the three them working on the entrance, the school board decided to relieve them of their punishment and send in professionals to finish the job. Now while the school board may have forgiven Sunset, the school itself was not yet ready to let her forget who she was.

Sunset Shimmer, before the incident, was feared by the school for her trickery and having the ability to force students to do her bidding. Now, she has gone passed her malicious nature and is trying to pursue a friendlier path.  However her fellow students aren’t buying it. Where Sunset would go, she will always hear what her fellow peers have to say about her. Whether it was delivered in words or by physical means.

Sunset tried to make friends with five girls who stopped her at the incident and were tasked by a temporary student to teach her the ways of friendship. But even those girls were still suspicious of her. Whenever Sunset would try to talk to one of them, they would make an excuse to leave early. From “I have to rush home and help with the harvest,” to “the mixer spattered cake batter all over the bakery and I have to help clean it up.” Sunset thought that their excuses were much worse than the cruel things everyone else did to her.

Sunset neared the point where no one would ever learn to accept who she is now. She was doomed to wander the world with her past being the only description of who she is. Until one person, a new student transferring from Cloudsdale High, helps her in this predicament and shows her that who she was doesn’t matter to him but who she is matter’s more.
