Today was going to be a good day, I just knew it. For today, I was at Minecon. Hi, my name is Samson Luciel, and I'm 20 years old. I'm a little skinny for my age, but I don't let that get to me. I had been wanting to go to Minecon for years now, as I had never been to one before, and never had the money. Thankfully, today, my brother managed to scrounge up enough to get us in. I ran a hand through my dark brown hair as I took in the sight, my older brother taking pictures next to me. Above us was a large banner with the words, 'Minecon 2015' on it and various Minecraft characters around the letters.

Ahead of us was a large stage with a podium, probably where they were going to make the announcements. Behind the stage were rows upon rows of stands filled with merchandise. There was always something about Minecraft nearby, whether it was props, or otherwise. And for a while we just walked around, just looking at the various props and things being sold and occasionaly getting people who wanted to take a picture with me. I was dressed up as the infamous Herobrine, complete with a teal-blue t-shirt, dark blue pants, gray shoes, and even white contacts for the eyes, so naturally I got a few people who wanted to take pictures.

We played a bit of Minecraft on the few computers and consoles that were laid out on the far left side of the hall, and did a bit of trivia as well. After getting a few prizes from the trivia, most of them plushies, we came to a secluded stall in the far right corner. There was a creepy looking man in a black hoodie standing behind the counter, and numerous trinkets lay on the counter. I don't know why but I felt, drawn to the place. Like something was calling me to it.

"What tickles yer fancy?" the man asked, his voice reminding me of an old pirate like in the movies.

Looking around, my eyes quickly noticed a flat and blocky piece of wood that looked like the diamond swords found in Minecraft. Pointing to it, I asked how much it was worth.

"Ten bucks," he answered. My brother pulled out two five dollar bills from his wallet and handed them to the man. I thanked him and picked up the wooden, blocky blade.

"No, thank you," he responded creepily, chuckling to himself as we walked away. I simply shrugged and filed it under people just being their weird selves.

Swinging the sword experimentally a few times out of excitement, I sat down at a bench while my brother went to go grab some food. And that's when the sword started glowing a faint white. I picked it up and stared at it before I noticed that everything around me had stopped. Everyone was frozen in place, like time had stopped around me. Then, my eyes started to hurt. Tremendously. It felt like someone was gouging them out with a spoon and exposing them to ridiculous amounts of blinding and painful sunlight at the same time. I fell to the ground, writhing in pain and holding my hands over my eyes. Then, the pain stopped, and everything turned dark.

I woke with a start. Glancing around, I noticed that I was in a small clearing in some strange and eerie looking forest. Moss and vine covered trees surrounded me on all sides, reaching out with their branches as if trying to touch me. To the left of me was a clear pond, it's surface shining and shimmering in the sunlight.

Looking down, I sighed in relief as I realised that I was still in the same clothes as before. I also noticed that there was a light blue broadsword next to my hand. It seemed to be of simple design, but the material it was made of was what really surprised me. It was made of crystal. I squealed in delight at the blade, before realizing that I should probably check my face to make sure nothing had changed. After all, something must have happened to my eyes to make them hurt like that.

So, I made my way over to the pond and it's mirror-like surface and was shocked at what I saw. My eyes were white, and glowing. Just like Herobrine's. Slowly, I put two and two together. I'm Herobrine! I can't believe it, this is so cool! I whooped and hollered like an idiot, celebrating my change. Then I realized something else, I was lost. Hopelessly, and utterly lost. I checked my pockets for my phone, only to turn up empty handed. And then, I freaked out.

How was I going to get home!? What about my family!? Did they even know where I was? I didn't own a car, my phone is gone, I don't know where I am, oh man I am so screwed! Ok, don't panic! Surely someone is closeby, someone who can help! Yeah, I just need to look around, that's all! I'll be fine! With that in mind, I stood up and made my way out of the clearing, cutting excess brush and vegetation in my way with my sword which, by the way, was cool as shit. Before long, I found a castle with two towers, one in the front left, and one in the back right.

It was a simple castle, grey brick and everything. But the guards are what really caught my attention. They didn't look anywhere near as modern as they should, as they had spears and golden armor. But the most notable feature? They had muzzles, yellow manes and tails, and white fur. In short, they looked like anthropomorphic horses in armor. I think you can imagine my reaction. Yep, I flipped it, again. The fact that there were anthro's could mean only one thing. I was in Equestria. I had watched a little of the show, and while it was very similar to the other cringeworthy kid's shows out there, I didn't dislike it.

I didn't like to consider myself a brony per se, more of a person who just didn't mind the show. With this new information, I realized another thing. This was exactly like those stories about people being sent to Equestria only to never return. There was probably no way back home, considering how most of those stories went. Which meant I would never see my family again. I slumped against a tree as that thought sunk in. I was never going to see another human, never going to see my family or friends, I would be alone. But, that can't be right, right? M-Maybe this is only a dream? I mean, it would suck that I'm NOT Herobrine, but hey, I'd rather be at home as Herobrine then in ponyland!

With my head made up, I stood up and tried to wake myself up. I punched my gut, and all the air went out of me. As I fell to the ground, a dark, frightening realization, the last I wanted to have, sank in.

This wasn't a dream.

Tears filled my glowing eyes, and I wiped them with my hands, but when I did, they only came back covered in black goop. A further reminder I wasn't even human anymore. A further reminder I was far from home. I grit my teeth and clenched my fists tightly. I cursed the damned Merchant who had most likely brought me here. I cursed the man, or creature, or devil, who had made this event occur. I even cursed the God I prayed to. I would have continued cursing the Merchant and all deific beings, if two spears from some sharp-eyed guards hadn't been pointed at me.

"State thy name and business!" said one of the guards.

A thought crossed my mind then. I'm Herobrine! I don't need to take shit from anyone! I... I could be my own God! If the others would be so cruel as to abandon me, to toss me aside like this, then I'll show them a bloodbath they'll never forget, and be born anew as their equal! No... Their better. As I thought this, and the guards in front me tensed at my silence. I simply grinned. I can teleport! Quickly imagining a throne room, I immediately found myself standing in front of two thrones, one black like onyx and one a golden one. A blue banner with a crescent moon on it was above the black throne whilst a yellow banner with a sun hung above the other throne. On the thrones were the alicorn Princesses themselves, Celestia and Luna. Celestia, with her white fur and wings, wore a crown and necklace of gold, an amethyst embedded in each. She wore a simple white dress. Luna's dark blue fur went well with the black, sparkling dress she wore with an onyx necklace and crown with white jewels in the shape of a crescent in them.

Having taken notice of my sudden appearance, Luna spoke up, the Royal Canterlot voice deafening. "Who art thou, to barge into court unannounced?" she asked.

That was when I realized something else, if I was Herobrine, then I needed to start acting like him. If I was brought here as the character, then I might as well become the character. So I remained silent and simply stared at her. This seemed to unnerve her, just like I hoped.

"Speak!" Celestia demanded.

I did so, but my voice was different. It sounded distant and was low like the rumbling of thunder. "As you wish."

I could feel everypony in the room shiver as they heard my voice, and while I was a little surprised myself I made sure to not show it.

"Who art thou?" Luna asked.

"I am the ravager of lands, King of the Nether, but you may call me," I paused for dramatic effect, "Herobrine."

That final word echoed throughout the room, sending a chill down every spine present. I could feel the fear coming from the nobles and guards in the room, and it was intoxicating. Delicous, even. I couldn't help it, I smirked.

"What business dost thou have here?" Celestia asked, losing her patience.

I heard voices then, thousands of them. All of them saying a simple line, and I found myself repeating it. "I came here to give you a fair warning. Leave this place now and surrender, or die."

Celestia scoffed, so I teleported in front of the closest noble, a white stallion with a blue mane, and stared him straight in the eyes. He whimpered pathetically, and I smirked again. Then, with a flash of light from my eyes, he fell unconcsious to the floor.

"So be it." And with that, I teleported away to prepare for the inevitable conflict.

I sighed internally as I watched a few bluejays fly by. Being a statue is boring. Like, seriously boring. And because of centuries of boredom, I seem to have gone a little stir crazy. This whole time I've had nothing to do except plot my revenge against the sisters. The world of Equestria was a peaceful place, so there wasn't much to keep me entertained. As such, you can imagine my excitement when I had something else to do.

"Come on children! Single file!" said a sweet yet authorative voice.

Coming towards me was a mahogany mare with a light pink mane in a white long sleeved v-neck shirt and a red long skirt. Several fillies and colts were following behind her. They stopped in front of me, and my excitement grew as I watched them gather in front of me.

"Who can tell me what this statue represents?" the mare asked.

A colt raised his hand. "Terror and connivance!" he answered.

"Very good! This is the statue of Herobrine, who ruled over a fiery dimension called the Nether centuries ago. His armies razed countless cities to the ground, and in the end it took the joined effort of the Minotaurs, Griffins, Dragons, and the Princesses to defeat him," the mare informed.

Seems like somepony's done their homework! If only I could move, then I could show them what I can really do! The fillies and colts 'ooh'ed' and 'aah'ed' as they listened to their instructor go on and on about me.

Then, a filly with white fur, a horn, a pink skirt and purple short sleeve top and a stylized pink and purple mane raised a hand and asked a question, only to be harassed by another filly with pink fur and a tiara. The teacher, which I learned was named Cheerilee, scolded the pink filly before it was time to move on. The white filly from before, along with two others that looked familiar stayed behind. One of them had yellow fur with a red mane with a red bow in it, wearing a green tank top and blue jeans. The other was an orange pegasus filly with a purple, unkempt mane and tail and a black t-shirt with blue shorts. It was then that I realized who these fillies were. They were the ones who freed my one time neighbor, Discord!

Come on girls, let me free! Who knows, I might spare you all if you do.

"I'm soo tired of Diamond Tiara calling us blank flanks!" said the orange filly.

"Yeah! Why don't we prank her? I say she deserves it!" suggested the yellow filly.

"I don't know guys..." said the white one.

The three fillies argued about it some more before finally the white one gave in. Their descision made, they walked off to join the group, leaving me alone once more. As they walked away, I could feel cracks appearing on my stone prison, growing bigger and bigger before a final 'crack!' broke the shell, freeing me. I stretched my limbs and popped my back, smiling wickedly as I realized that I was finally free. Free at last!

And I can't wait to start the mayhem.
