Chapter 17: The Grand Galloping Gala, part 1

Previous Chapter Next Chapter

I yawned as I started the process of re-assembling my pistols. It was the night of the Gala and I'm...actually...lookin forward to it. The train cart rocks slightly every time the wheels turned on the rails. I was in my dress. Well, a new one that isn't late Victorian. It was a sparkling red dress that reached to my ankles. I cleaned the parts of my first pistol and put it back together. I manage to jam my fingers in ther once or twice, and let me tell you, it hurt like fuck.

I yelped as I caught my fingers again, "Son of a bitch!" I shouted, putting my finger in my mouth and gently sucked on it.

"Ouch, that looked like it hurt." Steve said as he laid on the couch across from me, looking out of the window. Ever since he stopped me from killing that bastard, he stuck around with me. I don't know if he's a real ghost, but considering its equestria I wouldn't be surprised, or a demon. If he is a demon, there is no way in hell I'm killing him. However, I do wonder how long he'll stay.

"Yeah, no shit sherlock. You need Watson to figure out your next case?" I retort to him as I continue to fix my pistol. He snorts and sits up, looking directly at me.

"No actually. You see I think I figured it out my self. You see, at eleven-forty five pm, the ambassador died due to poison. I asked around, and found out that the bartender slipped poison into the ice cubes. And that killed him shortly after." He said with a smirk.

My eye twitched. "Are you fuckin serious!" I shouted at him, my voice sharp and irritated. I sighed and went back too work. "You know what, I don't even care." I finished putting one of my pistols back together and as I started on my second pistol, the door on my cabin opened up. Fluttershy stepped in shortly afterwords. "Holy shit, shy! You look amazing!" I said in Surprise as I took in her dress. She wore a bright green dress with a white sash around her waist. Butterflies made out of pink gems scattered over the sash. She also wore white shoes that looked stunning on her a well as a pink flower in her hair.

Shy blushed like a red apple and kicked her right hoof on the ground awkwardly. "P-please, it's....it's nothing really." She said in her soft, shy voice. She came in and sat down, closing the door before she did so. I pulled out my tail from my dress and let it flick around.

"Oh don't act like that shy." I started looking back down at my pistol. "I think you look sexy in that actually." I said, smiling. The result was a blush that was as bright as the sun.

"W-wah!? I-i uh....oh my." I snickered as I hooked on the grip to the barrel. I slipped a clip into the gun and pulled the top part back, shortly springing back. Now that both pistols were loaded, I pressed the safety and put them into there holders.

I looked out of the cart's window, watching as a few trickles of water cascaded down it. Cracking my joints, I stood up. "I think I'm going to take a walk around the Train. See ya." I waved at her as I walked out into the thin corridor. There was not much space on the train. Just enough for one person at a time. The corridor its self was made mostly out of wood. There was an elegant design etched into the walls.

As I walked along the train i saw the canterlot castle on the mountain. We where about an hour away to getting there, but it seemed so much more that that. To be honest, it was like an ant was looking at the universe. As I gazed out of the window, I failed to sense twilight stepping behind me and placing hair hand on my shoulder. "Beautiful isn't it?"

"Gah! Holy shit!" I shouted as I spun around and hit the back of my head against the window. "Ouch, don't do that again twilight. You scared the hell out of me." I rub the back of my head and I look at the dress that she is wearing. She wore a deep navy blue dress with light blue bands around her waist. The dress reached up to her shoulders and no more, covering her whole upper body but ignoring the arms. There was an up turned collar making its way half up her head and flared outward. Her shoes where light blue in colour with a small star on the sides of it. "Wow." I said with a raised eyebrow.

"Heh, thanks. You look good yourself." She said with a smile as she gazed at my dress, making me blush crazy. ".....why do you have your weapons?" She asked with a stern look, which made me inch back slightly.

"W-well you never know what'll happen?" I averted my gaze and hoped she bought it, fat chance.

"Really?" She asked as she raised an eyebrow. She sighed and facepalmed. "You will never change will you?"

I smirked and shook my head. "Nope, never." We where both silent for a while before we began to laugh. The laugh seemed to go on for ages, just the two of us with no one disturbing us. "Well, I have to jet, see ya later!" I opened the window and stuck my head out of it, letting the air hit my face.

"Silver don't you dare!" I hear Twilight shouted as I climbed out and crouched onto the train carriage. I snicker and run along the train, my tail hanging out to stable me. With a smile I stand up letting the full force of the wind strike me with the strength of one of Cleavers attacks.

"Man this is cool...." I mutter as I looked up to the sky. The clouds were nowhere in sight, the full expanse of space open to me as I look on in wonder. I eye the castle as the train closes in. Canterlot castle, it was truly a sight to see. It...it was so incredible it was hard to describe in words or thought. The train pulled into the station after about thirty minutes or so and we all stepped onto the platform.

"Hey, where's Silver?" Rarity asked as she looked around for me. I smirked and jumped off of the train, tucking in my tail before landing in front of them with a smile. "And that answers my question. So anyway! What are all of you going to do when we reach the Gala?"

"Well, just as long as last time doesn't happen again....." Twilight said, irritated slightly. The others nodded in agreement as twilight crosses her arms.

"Anyone want to explain?" I ask as my eyebrows lift in confusion. Mumbles and sighs echoed around me. Sighing, I lowered my head. "Forget I said anything...".

I later found my self in a hallway, with Twilight leading me up a set of stairs. The room it's self was massive. A large checker floor with ruby red rugs leading all over the place. Multiple banners hung from the purpleish walls. And right at the top of the stairs where three glass panels. The first and last panel had yellow, warm markings with the sun in the middle. In the middle panel, it was dark blue and purple with a white new moon in the middle.

Standing at the top of the stair case was a white mare. She had both wings and a horn with a mixed, flowing mane and tail. Her tail had three colours, pink, cyan and a light green. Twilight led me up to the hybrid mare and smiled at her. "Princess Celestia!" She shouted as she hugged Celestia.

'Princess!?' I yelled in my mind as my mouth hung wide open and stared in shock. 'Better not say anything disrespectful.... Else I get my head choped off...'

"My young student, Twilight. How have you been?" Celestia said while hugging Twilight back.

My body shiverd as Celestia spoke. Something about her voice sent chills down my spine ending at the tip of my tail. It was like I was suppose to be afraid of her, like I was born to be afraid of her. "And who's this?" Celestia asked as she let go of Twilight and looked towards me.

"O-oh, names Silver your highness." I say as a hold out a hand towards her. She accepted the gesture and shook my hand and at moment, it felt like time stopped. We were locked together as our eyes met and it felt like something snapped between us. Her eyes....were glaring at me, or atleast that's what they felt like to me.

"Celestia?" Twilight asked as time restored to its fullest. "Celestia what's wrong?" Twilight placed a hand onto Celestia's shoulder, snapping her out of her daze.

"Yes, yes Twilight I'm fine." Celestia said with the slightest hint of irritation in her voice. "Why don't you two have fun in the hall, I'll be with you later." With that she sent us on our way with a smile.

"She seemed......nice." I said while looking behind my shoulder to look at the hybrid. "Well, i'm gonna have a wee look around. See yea later, Twi!" I said as I waved her goodbye for now.

The soft clopping of hooves struck the red rug, leading there way towards Celestia. "Tia, you felt it too, didn't you?" A dark blue alicorn said as she stopped behind her sister. Her dark, starry mane flowed in the same direction as her sisters.

"Yes Luna, I did feel it. That girl...Silver. I want you to keep a close eye on her. If I am correct, then the prophecy has started. If she shows any signs of....his power, tell me and we'll go from there."

"Of course, sister."

With a groan, I slumped over the table bored out of mind. "Good heavens Silver, that's no way for a lady to act." Rarity said as she sat next to me. I raised my head up off of the table.

"Oh please, we both know I'm not a lady..." I groan out as I look at her. We both share a look before we laugh together. "So anyway, how's your night been so far?" I asked as I lean against the chair.

"Well, so far it's been right. No surprises, no threats, no nothing. There's even no sign of Prince Blue-ah crap." Rarity finished with the slump of her shoulders as she looked towards a smartly dressed unicorn with goldish brown mane and tail. He wore a white tux with a blue tie with his cutiemark on each shoulder. I can just tell that I'm gonna murder that pony just by the sheer aura around him.

"Whats wrong rarity? Is he an asshole?" I ask as the stallion spots us and smirks before starting to walk over to us. "Oh yeah, definitely an asshole."

"Well, well, well, if it isn't the tramp called rarity, how have you been?" He said with a stuck-up voice.

"Prince Blueblood." Rarity said as she glared at the Prince. "I'm sorry to leave you in such a rush, you stuck up prick," Rarity said under her breath, "but I and my friend here are just leaving." Rarity said as she tugged my arm and started to walk away.

"Ugh, who let this animal in the hall?! Guards, Guards! Remove this beast immediately!" The Prince yelled, making an ass of himself.

"Okay, your first strike was insulting my friend her. Your second strike was insulting me." I said as I walked closer towards him, jabbing my finger in his chest. "Now unless you want your ass handed to you, you stuck up, shit-eating, bastard, I suggest that you shut up and walk on out of here."

The entire hall was silent, shocked to what they heard from me. Bluebloods left eye twitched, enraged from what he heard. "How dare you speak to me in such a way, you peasant!" He went to go and slap me, but I quickly grabbed his hand, twisted his arm around me and flung him over my back and face first into a table, breaking into pieces.

"Pathetic." I walked away from the 'Prince' and towards Rarity. "Man, he's a sack of shi-Gah!" I yelled in pain as a sharp, cold kunai found its way into my back. I quickly grabbed it and pulled it out of me. I spun around and threw it at Bluebloods hooves.

"The fuck is your problem you psychotic fuck!?" I yell at him, my wound healing with a sizzle as steam emits from it, sealing it shut.

"Hmph, we will fight outside you overgrown ape." He said, ignoring me as he walked out of a set of doors leading into an open garden. He stopped after a few feet away from me as I followed him.

"Funny, coming from a snobbish stallion who looks looks like a homo with that gay mane." I said as I faced him down getting into a stance of my own.

"You'll pay for that, monkey." He said with irritation as a cart full of weapons of all shapes and sizes was pushed into view by Bluebloods magic.

"What ever Blueballs." I mock as I pick up a sword similar to that of my katana. I look into his eyes, dark, corrupt eyes stair back. "The fuck?" I whisper as a look from him sends chils down my back. 'What is it with this chills today? Is someone walking over my grave or something?'

"Prepare your self, demon." He said suddenly, my heart skips a beat. But before I could question him he ran towards me, his own sword positioned to the side.

'Horizontal strike...' I mutter in my head as my eyes narrow towards his sword. With a quick side step and block, our blades made, sparks flashed against our skin and fur. With a flick, I parried his sword and kicked his side, launching him into a table. "You suck! Who trained you?!" I yell as I give my sword a twirl.

"Esoprup on... gninnigeb on... dne on sah emit. Sraey dnasuot eerth rof slegna dna nem gnoma deklaw evah I..." He mutters, much to my confusion. His horn glows with dark magic and he picked up multiple weapons from the cart. The crowd that had formed around us gasped, not noticing the dark aura around the weapons.

"Oh shit!" I shout as I dodge and weave out of the way of incoming weapons, swords, axes and more. Parrying the sixth weapon, I used my flames to block the last two. As the two weapons fall to the ground, I burst from the ground with new found speed and delivered a punched him in the gut, sending him through a near by hedge and into another garden.

I smirked and cracked my knuckles. "Hmph, serves you right, you stuck up prick." I crack my neck before walking back to the main hall, but not before I spotted a mare just like Celestia. Only she was a tad bit shorter and was a mix of dark blue and purple. She had a dark blue dress with light blue trims. She looked at me for a brief moment before walking away from the window that she was spying me from. "Huh."

"Prince BlueBlood, Prince BlueBlood! Are you alright?!" A light yellow stallion rushed to the prince's side.

"I'm fine." The prince said as he thanked the stallion for his help. "How dare she treat me like this!" He glanced up to the the garden he was punched out of.

"Is.....is it her?" The yellow stallion asked as he looked at the garden along with BlueBlood.

"Indeed she is, it been a long time since I saw her last."

"How old was she when you met her?"

"How old? She was just born when I first saw her. And my how she has grown."

"Will you start the project now?"

"No, not yet. There's still a few things I have to get ready first. And I have a little surprise for...Jane, hmhmhahahahahahahahAHAHAHAHAHA!"
