More good news made its self-apparent an hour later as there came a loud knock on the south side. Applejack looked over the wall and saw a small group of Minotaurs and Dragons led by Spike!

“How the blazes!” Applejack cursed with glee “SPIKE!”

Applejack was thrilled, although small in number these were some of the most powerful creatures in Equestria “Get in here!” she yelled as she gave the nod for the gate to be raised. As Spike, the Twelve Minotaurs and five dragons walked in an almighty cheer went up. They were still unquestionably outnumbered but now hope was on their side “Spike, you’re amazing!” Applejack said in awe of the other dragons, and then an idea entered her head “Zecora!”

Meanwhile…

In the shopping district of Canterlot Chrysalis was walking down admiring her new capitol, as she dragged Twilight and Rarity by chains attached to the mare’s necks. Heartless suddenly stopped “This isn’t right!” he said as he looked into a window of a cottage “This looks like a calculated withdraw, rather than a mad panic but how?!”

As if to answer an arrow landed square in the chest of the standard bearer of the Changeling horde, the changeling looked down before falling over dead. It was then that the sky was filled with arrows and they rained down on the changelings. Many Changelings too slow to realize what was going on were struck down and one of the fallen was, Captain Blizzard.

“GET DOWN! IT’S A TRAP!” Heartless screamed before he too met his end.

The battle lasted less than twenty minutes before the ponies won their first victory and they had not lost one pony or otherwise to the horde of evil. Sparks looked around and couldn’t help but release a loud whistle of content “Well, well maybe they’re not so tough. That was easy” she said with a small kick against the head one of the changelings “With any luck, we’ll be able to retake Canterlot by next week and put…um…what’s her name again?”

A tall archer pony answered saluting “Chrysalis, Mam!”

“Chrysalt, in a small jail cell” Sparks mused as the ponies began to strip anything of value from the dead and dying “I want this done in five minutes!”

Within three minutes the corpses were stripped and the ponies of the perimeter had returned to their hiding places waiting for more changelings. No pony or changeling would have known there was an army hidden.

Elsewhere…

The second changeling army was making its way to Sweet Apple Acres, led by the experienced changeling, Tital. As they continued their progress, spirits were high in the ranks soon they would be feasting on the love of many foolish ponies and they would have new slaves. A win, win situation food and pleasure and all they had to do was beat ponies, easy.

Tital turned to another changeling and said “I can’t wait to retire with a few pony slaves and a nice home. Heck, I might retire here” he hissed not attempting to hide his evil “I wonder if the Queen will let me have one of the princesses?”

The changeling laughed “Haha, sorry sir, I think you’ll have to settle for the common variety slut but I’m sure retiring here will prove beneficial” she cackled evilly.

It was then that Tital foot sunk into the earth, the ground fell away dragging the army into a twenty foot hole but what Changeling got their wings out in time were dragged in by a gravity spell. There was then an almighty explosion as the walls of the hole exploded and the changelings were entombed by the earth.

Later…

Chrysalis was sitting in her thrown, forcing Twilight to suck her off again and listening to her aid as he listened off all the new “Property” they had seized. Night Light was filled with rage “Leave my little girl alone!” he screamed struggling to get free “You’ve already murdered my son!”

Chrysalis laughed evilly as she kept her grip on Twilight’s neck “I’ve already fucked her and soon she’ll be mine forever!” she said to Night Light before turning to Twilight “Now, Twilight, either you tell Ponyvile to surrender or I’ll kill your father! Think about it, you’ve already lost your brother and if I kill your daddy then…”

“DON’T DO IT!” screamed Night Light as he strained against the guards “YOU’VE MADE ME SO PROUND! DON’T DISGRACE YOURSELF! BY SERVING THIS BIT…!”

“Enough!” the changeling guard said as he winded the unicorn with a swift kick to the stomach.

Chrysalis was pleased “So Twilight, make your decision!” she said as she clapped around the unicorn’s neck “Your father or Ponyvile?”

Night Light weakly moaned “Don’t!”

Twilight’s eyes filled with tears “Dad, I love you but I won’t let Ponyvile be enslaved!” she barked out the last word “Dad, I’m sorry”

Night Light smiled “I couldn’t be any prouder of you! You have done so much and I know your mother feels the same way” he said as he looked up at the changeling guards who were pointing their spears down at the Unicorn “I love you and I’m proud to have….!” were the last words of Night Light.

Once the deed was done Chrysalis ordered the guards to chain Twilight’s foot to the floor and left her to weep over the body of Night Light but before she left she took the head of the dead unicorn and threw it out the open window. “There now I hope you have learned your lesson, never defy me!” She said as she spread her wings “Now I’ll need to pick a replacement for you tonight, how about Fluttershy?”

Twilight sniffed from the floor “Leave her alone!” she said weakly.

“Your right, Cadence would be better” Chrysalis said making her mind up and flew out the window.

The guards then left and locked the door leaving Twilight with the body of her father. Twilight looked at the desecrated remains that had once been her father. She had signed her father’s death warrant and she had now lost another family member within a day of losing her brother. She cried over the body burying her nose into what remained of his mane.

“Dad” she said with tears still trickling down her face “I promise I’ll not disappoint you!” and that was the solid truth. Many dark days lay ahead but Twilight was going to face them and she wouldn’t let any other pony die needlessly. “I’m Twilight Sparkle and I’m daughter of Night Light!” she mumbled to herself taking comfort in it.
