Kyra made her way into the alley, pulling out her gun and aiming it ahead of her. As she stepped in, she saw the yellow mare standing in the center, facing her. "Where's the other one?" Kyra asked, cautiously approaching the mare.

Sunny smiled and crossed her arms. "What other one?" She asked.

The red mare raised her gun at her. "Oh, you are a troublemaker... So glad this wasn't a waste of time. But, I saw you come in with a purple mare. Where is she?"

Sunny tilted her head before inhaling deeply. "Ohhh... Her... Yeah, she's right behind you."

Kyra gasped and spun around, before having her gun knocked out of her hand. The purple mare then grabbed her by the neck and lifted her up off the ground. Choking and gasping, Kyra stared at the purple mare. "The fuck are you?"

Tresemme chuckled and let her hair form into the tentacles. "I'm the Mane-iac," she cooed, before a tentacles started to approach Kyra's body.

The red mare quickly aimed her hand at the mare and shot out her bladed chain. The Mane-iac stepped to the side, dropping Kyra to avoid the attack. Kyra then began to get up before shooting her right blade at the upper part of the wall to her right. Shooting upwards, she pressed her foot to the wall, detached the blade, before kicking off in a flying kick toward the purple mare.

Mane-iac smirked and grabbed her ankle with one of her hair tentacles before throwing her away. Kyra let out a grunt as she slammed into the other building before falling to the ground. The purple mare cracked her neck before walking towards the red mare. "You're barely a challenge... Stand up and fight."

Kyra grunted as she placed her hands on the ground. She knew she was no match for this mare alone. In all her times spent as an assassin back before forming the Skulls gang, she never faced an enemy like this. Nor would she ever agree to confront one like this. Deciding to run, she stumbled to her feet, turned away from the approaching psycho, and ran.

"Where are you going?" Mane-iac cooed, shooting a tendril out and grabbing Kyra by the waist. "Trying to escape?" Kyra went wide-eyed as she was slammed into the building on her left. "Here," Mane-iac continued, before slamming Kyra into the right building. "Let me help." With a powerful throw, she tossed Kyra out of the alley, across the street, and into a parked car setting of its alarm. Slamming into it, she tumbled over the roof and collapsed onto the sidewalk.

Coughing and gasping, the mare rolled onto her back. "Fuck..." she grunted.

As she was about to start running again, Mane-iac used her tendrils to climb up to the roof and throw one of the trash cans at her. The metal can hit Kyra in the back, knocking her over.

"I was hoping you'd put up more of a fight..." the crazy purple mare cooed, walking over to the downed mare. Her tendrils wrapped around Kyra's wrists and pulled her up to her feet, turning her to face her. "This is kind of a disappointment," she sighed, before punching Kyra hard in the stomach.

The red mare gasped sharply, eyes going wide as a tear fell from her eye. The blow was so hard that she couldn't even breathe for a second. Her breath was cut short when the purple mare punched her across the face twice, once with her left fist and once with her right. The second blow drew blood from her lips and nose.

"I want this to last," Mane-iac said, a dark grin spreading across her face.

After kneeing Kyra in the chest, she threw her over the alley and onto the roof of the neighboring building. The red mare immediately caught sight of a steam vent nearby. Shooting one of her blades at it, she yanked it towards her just as the Mane-iac landed on the roof.

Eyes narrowing, the purple mare noticed that the steam was blocking sight of her target. Moving through the wall of steam, she emerged on the other side and looked around. There was no sign of the mare. "SHIT!!!" She yelled, running to the edge of the building and looking over the edge. "FUCK!!!"

Sunny had finally managed to catch up, watching from the other rooftop. "We should go!" She called over. "I can hear police sirens!"

Mane-iac looked over her shoulder at the yellow mare and let out a deep, angry sigh. "Dammit..." she growled.

Heading back to the other roof, she wrapped a tendril around the mare, held her close, and carried her off the building.

"Later!” Night exclaimed. “Right now, I'm taking you to the hospital!" Night carefully helped her up and led her to his car. "Why were you alone?" He asked, getting into the driver's seat. "Where's Deva and Amanté?!"

Kyra looked over at him as he sped off towards the nearest hospital. "They're not... my bodyguards, Night... I only had the... energy to call one... So, I called you..."

Night nodded. "You're gonna be okay. Just stay with me."

"You need to gather yourself and focus on the task at hand. When you do, you can join us, but... for now... stay with Kyra. Want me to send Deva and Amanté over to you?"

Night was silent for a second. "No no. If you do, they'll get worried. And, so will Malice."

"Well, they may find out eventually, but... it's your family... Your decision... If they ask, I'll just tell them you're out for a walk..."

Twilight hung up her phone as Midnight licked her lips, sitting up. "What happened to Kyra?" Asked the black mare.

The unicorn hesitated before quickly getting out of bed. "Kyra was attacked," Twi said as she quickly grabbed her coat and shoes. "I need to find out more, so I'm heading to the hospital."

"I'll go with you," Midnight said as she left the bed, following the mare.

When they got to the door and Twilight opened it, they stopped when they saw Pinkamena standing there, fist up as if about to knock. "Uh... Hey, Pinkie," Twilight said, taking a step forward. "We don't have time to talk. Something happened and we have to go."

"O-Oh, can I come, too?" Pinkamena asked, placing her hands together. "It's actually what I'm here for. I haven't really... done much since Surprise's attack... I-I'm starting to feel... useless..."

Twilight gave a light smile and moved past her, patting her on the shoulder. "Come on," she said, the pink mare joining the party.

As the three arrived at the elevator, Twilight pushed the button. When the made it to the lobby, they made their way towards the front door. Until...

"Twilight?" Came a younger voice. The trio stopped and looked over to see Malice leaving the dining room. "Have you seen my mom?"

"Kyra?" Twilight asked, trying to remain calm. "She's out on a date with Night," she said, before she quickly lead the other two outside.

Malice watched them leave, her eyes narrowing in suspicion.
