Chapter 1: A Very Generous Virgin

A Very Generous Virgin

An unusually depressed blue pegasus lay atop a cloud floating just above Sweet Apple Acres. Her front hooves covered her throbbing chest while her long colorful mane dangled over the edge. She stared at the stars and moon wondering just how she ended up where she was today.

Stupid Applejack...Stupid Pinkie! Rainbow Dash placed her hooves over her tearing eyes and attempted to suppress her sobbing.

It had been nearly a month since her ex-lover betrayed her in the most vulgar act of infidelity imaginable. She never would have guessed that Applejack, the most honest and reliable of mares, could ever be capable of such. With her strong sense of loyalty, it was easy to see why Rainbow Dash was so upset.

Stifling a yawn, she closed her eyes and let her imagination run wild.

She recalled that horrifying sight. Rainbow thought the mare cared for her, but Applejack only broke her heart in the end.

Then Pinkie came to mind.

Learning to bake with her; how perfectly sweet and caring that mare really was; and, more importantly, how she so selflessly put her own obvious, emotional turmoil aside to make sure her best friend didn't have to feel another ounce of sadness.

She pictured those two wide blue eyes staring up at her so innocently...so lovingly...then she remembered the events that followed, feeling as if she had taken advantage of a sweet and naive mare.

"Why did it have to be her first time?", she asked aloud to the stars, a part of her hoping they'd offer an answer.

The empty pit in her stomach began to fester in her mind; she wondered why she felt this way and needed an answer.

Then it hit her: she missed Pinkie. She missed her goofy smile and her annoying, hyperactive antics. She missed that ridiculous, snorting laugh...A small part of her even missed Pinkie's obsession with sniffing her.

Thinking about it, Rainbow smiled and decided it was time to pay her best friend a visit. She had been intentionally avoiding her for quite some time, but now she began to feel as if that fact was actually the source of her depression.

I want Pinkie, don't I?...

Rainbow Dash cleared her throat intentionally loudly as she fluttered outside the second floor window of Sugarcube Corner.

"Psst, Pinkie?", she whispered before lightly tapping on the glass with a hoof.

Not a moment later a groggy pink mare stood in front of the window with one eye open while she wiped the sleep from the other.

"Dashie? What are you doing here? I thought you..." Pinkie yawned and stretched before unhooking the latch and pushing the window open.

Rainbow gladly stepped in and rested, as she couldn't help but yawn herself. "I just wanted to see you. I haven't been feeling like myself...and I've been thinking about you quite a bit lately."

Pinkie let out a chuckle before pulling her friend into a warm hug, her muzzle happily buried into a fragrant, rainbow mane. The scent was so much more than satisfying for her. She brushed her nose across her friend's cheek and neck, all the while inhaling. Her body quivered and she broke a smile as she closed her eyes, nearly losing herself in a drug-like trance.

"Mmm, I missed you too Dash." Pinkie sounded nearly euphoric, taking another deep inhale through her mouth.

Rainbow immediately picked up on Pinkie's current self-indulgence and let out a pained sigh. "Did you miss me? Or did you only miss smelling me?!" She pushed her friend away with a hoof and looked to the floor.

"Both?" The apologetic party mare offered a reassuring smile, staring at the mostly silhouetted pegasus standing in front of the starry night sky behind her open window.

Rainbow frowned and looked into Pinkie's moonlit eyes with a strong hint of resentment. She glared and pointed her hoof accusingly as she let out an angry huff, "I wanna date you, darn it!"

Pinkie's eyes widened as her smile brightened the room. "You do?! I thought you'd never wanna date me! Because you keep avoiding me, and also because then ponies would see us dating and I know you don't want ponies knowing you like mares, even though everypony knew you liked Applejack, but that was different and I know it. Ooh, is this different too?!"

Rainbow found herself beneath two front hooves and a pair of wide questioning eyes. "Yes, this is very different from anything else, especially Applejack. And you still can't tell anyone that I like mares, got it?"

"Got it!" Pinkie hugged back on to her new marefriend and felt her heart blissfully yet painfully pounding in her chest.

"Oh, and no more sniffing me!" Rainbow narrowed her eyes and crossed her front hooves.

Pinkie looked as if Gummy had just passed away, her deep blue eyes wide and watered over. "...Or what?"

"Or this isn't going to wor... uh..." Rainbow began to feel her heart breaking as Pinkie's bottom lip began to quiver. "I mean...well...Just keep it to a bear minimum then, please."

"Okay!" Pinkie immediately took that opportunity to take another whiff. "Mmmmm... It's sooo good. You should try it."

Rainbow rolled her eyes while Pinkie's muzzle brushed up her chest, neck, then chin. Soon their muzzles were touching and Pinkie offered a kiss, which Rainbow gladly accepted.

After they pulled away, Rainbow Dash let out a dramatic groan. Curiosity had finally bested her; she lifted her mane with a hoof and inhaled a deep chestful of the aroma, a little unsure how she would react.

About thirty seconds passed before Pinkie finally broke the silence in anticipation. "You feelin' anything yet?"

Almost anticlimactically, Rainbow Dash shrugged and glared at Pinkie. "I don't see what the big deal is..."

"Are you crazy?! All of you smells so good!! All your parts smell so different, but they're all soooo yummily snifferific that I wish I never had to stop sniffing you ever again!" Pinkie allowed herself to get carried away as she knocked the pegasus onto her back.

Rainbow laughed and spread her wings as Pinkie helped herself to far more than the bear minimum of sniffs. "You're the crazy one, Pinkie. How do I smell different from any other pony?"

The distracted party mare ignored the question and buried her nose into Rainbow's coat. "Okay, okay, Pinkie. I'll make you a deal."

"A deal?" She leaned up excitedly, wiping her nose.

"Yes. You can sniff me whenever you want, as much as you want, but you have to do something for me whenever I ask, no matter what. Deal?" Rainbow smiled and held out her hoof.

Pinkie placed her hoof on her chin and looked thoughtfully away. "Hmmm, something, huh?...Deal!" She bumped her hoof to Rainbow's.

"Sniff away Pink, just remember our agreement." Rainbow lay back and decided no harm could come from this and, more than anything, Pinkie was clearly enjoying herself.

The pink mare rubbed her front hooves together and licked her lips as if she were preparing to dive into a delicious meal. Rainbow rested her head on the floor and closed her eyes while Pinkie's muzzle sensually stroked her body. Suddenly, Pinkie let out a chirp of delight while she brushed her face up Rainbow's ribs and beneath her wing. Rainbow shifted uncomfortably as Pinkie shoved her muzzle straight into the pit of her wing, taking a noticeably longer inhale through her nose.

"Uh...Pinkie? I haven't showered today...plus it was really hot out...and that's really weird." The pegasus pulled away and lowered her wing, catching a whiff of her own body odor.

As Dash stood up, Pinkie Pie limply fell flat and sprawled herself out on the floor with a blissfully blank expression and her tongue hanging out. "Where'd ya go?" She spoke slowly and softly.

Dash couldn't help but smile at the scene. She loved seeing her friend so perfectly satisfied, despite the awkwardness and discomfort that it took for Pinkie to attain her fix. Though, letting her marefriend achieve ecstasy began to tempt Rainbow Dash. She had a frustration building and knew exactly how to have it resolved. "So, remember that deal? Time to pay up."

Pinkie nodded and let her contentment shine through her soft smile. "You name it. I'll do anything!"

Rainbow grinned and backed into Pinkie's bed, making herself comfortable. "See these hooves?" She blushed and held her back hooves up.

The pink mare squinted and nodded again.

"You can't tell anypony that I told you this, but it feels really, really good when ponies lick your hooves. So...will you?" Rainbow tentatively asked, knowing Pinkie had already agreed, but wouldn't object if she refused.

"Well, duh! What kinda mare doesn't like having her hooves licked?", Pinkie asked before climbing onto the bed.

Rainbow just lay back and rolled her eyes at the comment. Hoof licking wasn't exactly a mundane interest in her book. She relaxed and let her legs fall limp as Pinkie slowly slid down her body, her muzzle grazing down her stomach then thighs.

Dash looked down to see Pinkie's nose rubbing up and down across her hooves. The rising anticipation added to her excitement. "You gonna lick 'em or what?"

"Oh, right!" Pinkie nodded, snapping back to reality.

She winked at the impatient pegasus and gently nipped the tip of her hoof. Rainbow leaned back and closed her eyes, trying to suppress her embarrassment. "Remember Pinkie, you can't tell anyone...not even our friends."

The preoccupied mare nodded absentmindedly as she kept her eyes closed and stuck her tongue out. Rainbow forced her head down and cringed at the strong, tickling sensation to follow. Pinkie smiled, feeling the mare gently jerking back, but not far enough to interrupt the session.

She stuck her tongue out further, swirling it around the sensitive frog of her hoof. Rainbow quivered and felt a moistening between her legs.

"Okay, do the other one." She ordered as she placed her front hoof on her forehead, trying to restrain her unnecessary angst.

Pinkie nodded and promptly switched hooves. "Like this?" She asked as she began over-dramatically swashing her tongue sloppily all over the sides, center and all.

Rainbow didn't respond. She simply covered her mouth and felt her state of arousal growing exponentially as the licking carried on. Next, she heard the mare take a deep inhale, longer and louder than before.

"Mmmmm, you smell good, Dashie." Pinkie dropped the hoof and began crawling up the bed towards the source of her aromatic delight.

Rainbow squeaked as her partner's muzzle made its way between her legs, pressing against her sweet spot. She giggled and lifted her legs, parting them for easier access. "You want it? Go for it."

The distracted party mare seemed nearly oblivious to Rainbow's comments as she took in the sweet scent wafting from between those perfectly toned blue thighs. She took in a deep breath through her nose and held it for a moment before letting the hot air out through her mouth to brush across the spread pegasus' crotch.

"Come on Pink, that's not fair..." Dash whined, resisting the urge to thrust herself into Pinkie's face.

Rainbow put on a devilish grin and leaned up. "So, if I smell that good down there, how do you think I taste?" Hoping to elicit at least one lick before she had to rape this sweet mare.

Pinkie's eyes widened, "I remember what you taste like Dash, and I liked it!"

She then stuck her tongue back out and gave a swift lick up the center. Rainbow lifted her legs higher and squeaked again at the unexpected burst of pleasure.

"Ha, right. Yeah, I liked it too...Wanna make me come? That's what marefriends do, right?" Rainbow boldly asked, already certain she was getting what she wanted one way or another.

"I'll try my best! Should I go get the icing gun?!" Pinkie jumped up and asked excitedly.

Before Rainbow could answer, Pinkie pulled out the gun from behind her back and sat it down on confused mare's stomach. "Pinkie, were you holding that the whole time?"

"Well duh, before you came here I was making midnight cupcakes." Pinkie pointed to a tray of partially frosted and iced treats.

Rainbow scratched her mane and shrugged. "Just...be careful."

Pinkie smiled deviously and squeezed the trigger, spurting out a small stream of liquid that landed on Rainbow's stomach, instantly solidifying. Rather than shoving the gun inside of her as expected, she sat it down on the bed and wondered exactly what she should do next.

Pinkie's mind began to wander as she stared. I wonder how much she likes this, should I go down there? Maybe another lick! Ooh, she jerked a lot there, maybe that was too rough. Hmm. Oh, idea! Pinkie grabbed the icing gun and sprayed the sugary mix all over Rainbow's chest and stomach.

"Oops, missed." Pinkie blushed and giggled.

She then began lapping up the mess, cheerfully swirling her tongue across and through Rainbow's messy coat. Starting at her lower stomach, she soon reached her chest and caught a whiff of something rather enjoyable...at least in her opinion.

Mmmm...mmmmmmm, that smell...Pinkie's nose found itself buried inside Rainbow's wing-pit.

Far from concerned with Pinkie's obsessions, Rainbow let herself fall limp while she dealt with the fact that she was going to be left unsatisfied. Letting out a deep breath, she opened her eyes. "So, Pinkie, want me to do you at least?"

"Naaahhh, I'm good." Pinkie cheerily pointed out as she huffed and huffed from the inside of Rainbow's pit.

"Okay, whatever you say, weirdo." Rainbow sighed.

Once thoroughly satisfied, Pinkie crawled up the bed, snugly resting herself on top of the sleepy pegasus. "Dashie, I really did miss you...not just sniffing you."

"I know. We're best friends right? It only makes sense to miss each other."

"I missed smelling you too though...", Pinkie confessed with a nervous blush.

"...I know." Rainbow murmured and rolled her eyes. "There's something wrong with you. Let's go talk to Twi in the morning and see what she thinks. I don't know how long I can deal with this sniffing after all..."

"Okay, Dashie...but what if she realizes we're dating?" Pinkie widened her eyes and leaned in.

"It's fine. I don't know why I cared so much. I love you; you're my best friend, and if I want to fall in love with you then that's nopony's concern but our own." Rainbow sternly pointed out.

Pinkie gulped, a small jolt of pain poking at her heart. "You're...falling in love with me?"

Rainbow's eyes shot open. "I...Let's get some sleep. We'll talk about it later, okay?"

Satisfied, Pinkie blissfully sighed and hugged onto her marefriend. Thoughts of what the future might hold began to flood into her mind's eye as she dozed off, creeping into her dreams.

Rainbow lay awake, staring at the ceiling. I do love you, Pinkie... She wanted so badly to say it out loud, but felt the timing just wasn't quite right. Caving to her heavy eyes, she closed them and joined her lover in a peaceful slumber.

The sun rose far too quickly and glared in through the open window. Rainbow Dash was the first to wake as she wiped her tired eyes and eased Pinkie off of her. "Get up you. We got a busy day ahead of us."

Pinkie peeked one eye open and raised an eyebrow. "But I'm not ready to get up...", she objected.

"I don't care! We need to go see Twilight before she gets too wrapped up in something to pay attention to us. Move it, bucko!"  Rainbow sounded like a drill sergeant as she stamped a hoof and ordered her friend up.

Pinkie snapped out of bed and saluted the stern pony. "Gotcha! Let's go!"

Rainbow turned away and leaped out the window, fluttering down to the front door. Not a moment later Pinkie burst through the door with a bright smile. Her previously messy mane was back to it's normal, poofy state. The two then cantered off towards the library, Pinkie absentmindedly humming and frolicking while Rainbow remained very focused and adamant.

Tap tap tap! She rapped on the front door with her hoof-tip.

"Oh? Hello, girls. What brings you here so bright and early?" Twilight groggily answered, failing to stifle a yawn.

"Pinkie here," Rainbow declared, glaring at the clearly unfocused earth pony as she stared at a bee, "has a problem."

"A problem?" Twilight rolled her eyes and giggled. "And this is news how?"

"Pinkie, what's your favorite thing to do in aaaallll of Equestria?" Rainbow grinned and glanced over to the mare.

"Ooh ooh, I know!" Pinkie happily shoved her nose into Rainbow's mane and took the biggest whiff possible before slowly backing away with a sense of euphoria lingering over her shoulders.

Rainbow explained, "She won't stop smelling me, and she acts like she's seriously addicted to it or something. I haven't been showering more or wearing frilly perfume or anything like that either; I smell the same as I always have."

"Hmm, that is strange...even for Pinkie." Twilight trotted around the pink mare who stood wobbly with partially closed eyes.

"Look! It's like she gets some kind of high or something." Rainbow joined Twilight in examining the mare.

Pinkie began to fidget underneath their scouring eyes.

Twilight placed a hoof on her chin. "Maybe it's not Pinkie after all." She looked up and down Rainbow's body, "Do you mind?"

The troubled pegasus sighed and fluffed her wings. "Go for it." Offering a wing in the direction of the unicorn, she felt uneasy about the procedure.

"It's just for research," Twilight reassured as she leaned in and took a modest sniff off the wing. "Hmm, smells fine to me."

She then cleared her throat and moved a bit closer, sniffing up the rest of the wing and all through the colorfully fragrant mane. With one final inhale, she let out a deep breath through her mouth and closed her eyes.

"Well, I'll admit, you do smell really good, Dash...but not that good." She pointed to Pinkie who was now buried in Rainbow's wing, her tongue hanging out and her eyes rolled up.

The frustrated pegasus pushed the party pony away and coughed. "Well? What could it be then? Why is she acting like this?"

Twilight opened her front door back up, glancing towards a light yellow mare with a two-toned dark pink mane that was staring at them with a raised eyebrow and slacked jaw while her watering can was overflowing a flower pot. "Let's continue this discussion inside. I have a few ideas."

The three made their way inside and got comfortable. Dash sat next to Pinkie on a soft sofa, who immediately wrapped her hooves around her and let out a loving sigh. Dash nervously huffed and looked at Twilight, wondering what she'd think of the behavior.

"You two want to get a room while I work this out?" Twilight blushed a little and glanced away.

"No, we're fine!", Pinkie answered, kissing up Rainbow's neck and cheek.

"Not now, Pinkie..." Rainbow gently nudged her away.

"But...but I thought you said it was okay if Twilight knew..." Pinkie teared up and widened those adorable deep blue eyes.

Rainbow sighed, recalling what she had said. She almost began to regret it, if only slightly. "I know I know..."

"Wait, you two are together?!" Twilight asked quite loudly, "What about Applejack? I thought-"

"You thought wrong.", Rainbow interrupted.

"Yeah, Twilight, that was different." Pinkie had to offer her two bits.

"So, you're dating then? That's cute. I don't see why you want to keep it a secret though. It's not like any of us care." Twilight shook her head and skimmed another book.

"Right right, so you said you had some ideas about Pinkie's thing then?" Dash gladly changed the subject.

"Right, I did. My first idea, and most likely the explaination, is that your secreting some kind of pheromone that Pinkie is easily picking up on. Something that I and most other ponies only subtly and subconsciously react to. I can't explain how or why, but Pinkie seems to be hypersensitive to whatever it is you're emitting. I'm trying to decide whether she only recently became aware of this, or if you've only recently began emitting." Twilight nodded and buried her nose back in a book.

"Huh..." Rainbow got lost somewhere on the way and Pinkie was hardly even paying attention at all.

"There's no way that this is the first time you've been in heat around Pinkie, so a simple sex pheromone doesn't cover it alone..." Twilight muttered aloud as she continued skimming.

Rainbow blushed and pushed her thighs together. "Um...it's not really a sexual thing anyway. Right, Pinkie?"

Both mares nodded in agreement, before Twilight shooed them down with a hoof. "Shh, lemme read."

Dash sighed and slumped in her seat, finally returning Pinkie's hug. With a lighthearted laugh, she decided a kiss would be nice. Just as the two touched lips, Spike and Rarity came bursting through the library door.

"Whoa! Get a room you two!" Spike covered his eyes and headed for the kitchen. "Yuk!"

"Oh my! Rainbow Dash! What happened to you and Ap-" Rarity was cut off by the angry pegasus raising a hoof and shouting.

"Don't say it! Nothing happened! Nothing ever happened!! I don't want to talk about it!" Rainbow sighed and Pinkie let out an angry 'hmph'!

"-ple Jack" Rarity dropped her hoof and twisted her mouth.

Rainbow growled and stood up, lightly pushing her marefriend off of her. "Twi, let me know when you find something out. I need some air."

Rainbow's ears drooped while she trotted past Rarity. Once outside she took flight, forcing herself not to look back; she was fully aware that Pinkie's beautiful blue eyes would latch onto her heart and drag her back down to the ground. Simply thinking about those immaculate sapphires was getting to her.

She shook her head and regained her focus, landing on a soft cloud. Thoughts of Applejack replaced those of Pinkie, and an old wound reopened. Images of her taking a bite of a soiled apple, winking, and deviously laughing filled her mind. Derpy Hooves licked her lips and the tip of her hoof, her face ominously backlit by a large flame in a small lantern. Big Macintosh pointed his hoof and laughed maniacally.

Well then, Dashie Dash, how's it feel knowin' no pony'll ever love you? We'll all betray you one way or another. Even Pinkie'll find a mare way better smellin' than you! Applejack sadistically licked the partially eaten apple, her evil green eyes stabbing into Rainbow's heart.

I just don't know what went wrong, Rainbow Dash. First everything was goin' real good for you, then it all...fell...apart... Derpy spoke slowly, her derped out eyes slowly fixing straight on Rainbow's.

Eeyup! Big Mac crossed his hooves and nodded his head with a demonic grin.

"Shut up!" Rainbow shouted and pounded on the cloud beneath her with her front hooves, causing it to disperse into the air.

She fell a few meters down before turning and catching her bearings. More annoyed than ever, she decided to check in on Twilight, hoping for a bit of good news.

On her way, she attempted to let the past go, but knew a small part would always be there...especially with her annoying friends bothering her all the time. Eventually, they'd catch on and let it go...but Applejack will always be around, and Rainbow hated the thought of losing such an amazing friend over a bad relationship.

The perfectly perplexed pony pondered Pinkie Pie's present predicament predominately pertaining to this pleasantly pungent pegasus. Picking up her pace, she proceeded to perceive the prevalent possibility that the purple pony probably presented a probable prognosis pinning potential problems to the pink party pony's peculiar proclivity. The provoked pony peeked up, pointing a pompous hoof up to a poorly postured pony-author.

"Stop it!" She exclaimed. He sighed and continued writing.

Rainbow pushed through the library doors, "So, anything yet?"

Twilight stood above Pinkie, who was lying on her back. "Well she doesn't seem to be attracted to my pheromones in the least. Unless pegasi have a very different secretion, this doesn't make any sense. I'd hate to write this off as Pinkie being Pinkie, but that's all I've got."

Rainbow Dash sighed and turned away. "Thanks anyway, Twilight. I guess it's not really that big of a deal."

The beat pegasus lifted her marefriend off the floor and headed towards the door but, before she could leave, she was stopped by Rarity.

"Please please please, Rainbow Dash! I must know what happened between you and our dear friend Applejack!" Rarity looked on with wide starry eyes.

"Ugh, fine! She cheated on me with Derpy. Happy?!" Rainbow angrily galloped out the door and stamped the road with a powerful hoof.

Pinkie glanced back and forth between Rainbow and Rarity. "Now look! Ya made her mad! Go say sorry, ya big meanie."

Rarity looked appalled. "I did no such thing! She just stormed off after I asked a simple, harmless question. Woe is me! All my friends think I'm a horrible monster when all I do is try to become more involved in their personal lives. I thought we were closer than that!" Rarity's forced tears dripped down her cheeks as she placed a hoof over her head before collapsing on the sofa.

Twilight rolled her eyes. "Go talk to Dash, Pinkie. I'll take care of Rarity. Okay?"

"Are you sure? 'Cos I can help too, if want you! I love making ponies smile--it's kinda my thing--but why am I telling you that?" Pinkie shrugged and turned to face Rainbow. Then it hit her: Twilight was in heat. She had been using her pheromones from her current state to compare them to the pegasus' potential state.

Realizing what her intentions were, Pinkie turned back and gave Twilight an obviously over-dramatic wink. "Ooooooh, I hear ya loud and clear, alright!" Pinkie raised her eyebrows in quick succession, winked again, then raised her eyebrows again, all while slowly backing out the front door.

"What in Equestria is she implying?" Rarity leaned up with a confused smirk.

"Oh, Rarity. I think you know perfectly well what she's implying...and we both know she's right." Twilight latched the door with her magic and gave the melodramatic white unicorn a lustful wink and smile.

Pinkie covered her mouth and giggled as she trotted up to her frustrated marefriend. "Come on, Dashie! Show me a smile!"

"Not now, Pinkie. Can we just go relax at your place?...I'm having a bad day..." Rainbow wasn't sure why she was still so bothered by something that happened so long ago.

"Wanna talk about it at least?" Pinkie began to lose her smile, pained by her lover's sadness.

"There's not much to say..." Rainbow shook her head, secretly wanting to pour her heart out to the concerned mare.

"Then say a little. A little will help a little at least, right?" Pinkie nodded and placed a hoof over Dash's back.

"It's just that I'm tired of everyone thinking me and Applejack were a couple. They claim they know it, but they couldn't be more wrong. We were just really close friends. She promised that she wasn't a fillyfooler, and I was sooo happy to hear her say that, because I wasn't one either. So that meant we could do things together and have fun, but we didn't have to get emotionally involved because that would potentially mess up our awesome friendship. So then what happens? I walk in on her fillyfooling around with Derpy...and she's really into it. That's when I realized that she was a fillyfooler...I can't even stand to think about her anymore...She's supposed to be the most honest of ponies...and she lied to me." Rainbow sighed and looked down.

"But...I'm a fillyfooler...and you still like me...right?" Pinkie's bright blue eyes vividly reflected the sky as she stared, breaking Rainbow's fragile heart.

"Don't look at me like that, Pink..." She tried to stop the rising tears that heart shattering gaze brought on. "I'll love you no matter what you are, Pinkie. Even if you're a weird pony-sniffing freak."

Rainbow hugged her and washed her own emotional turmoil away. She was just glad to share a sincere moment with her best friend and lover.

"I love you too. And I'm not a pony-sniffing freak...I'm just a Dashie-sniffing weirdo." She giggled and snorted.

"That you are, Pinkie." Rainbow finally smiled again, wrapping a wing around her dear friend. "Thanks, by the way."

"You're welcome, but...thanks for what?" Pinkie tilted her head, retaining her upbeat attitude despite her confusion.

"For being an awesome friend. I can always talk to you about anything...not like our other friends."

"Well I told you once before, I'm best pony!" Pinkie proclaimed.

Rainbow shook her head and laughed. "I guess you are best pony, whatever that means." She attempted to play along.

Pinkie put on a victorious smile and thought for a moment. "Just you wait and see! Everything's gonna be back to normal before you know it."

"Pinkie, with you around, nothing will ever be normal." Rainbow laughed and pulled her friend closer as they headed home, spirits lifted and intentions positive.
