Chapter 1: Wanna Bang?

Wanna Bang?

The sharp sting of a slap was all Flash Sentry felt as his vision turned red for a moment. Sunset Shimmer stood in front of him, her chest heaving as she fumed. It took a few moments for him to collect himself, and as his vision cleared he started to realize what he'd just said.

"Oh."

"Oh is right," Sunset stated darkly, her piercing eyes not wavering from his for even a second. "Is that what you really think of me?"

"I, uh, I wasn't thinking?" he suggested lamely. The flustered rapscallion tried to put on his best smile, but even his signature grin couldn't seem to win Sunset over. Instead, she growled, seemingly even more frustrated that he'd try playing off his offense as nothing but an accident.

"You weren't...thinking," Sunset intoned. She looked him up and down, her frown deepening. "You know what? Fine. I shouldn't have expected someone of your level of intellect to bother doing something as tedious and mind-numbing as 'thinking'. You're only holding an A average in school, taking honors courses, and giving me a run for my money as class valedictorian. It's not like you have a brain, right? Of course you wouldn't get it"

"Um, yeah?"

"Of all the stupid, asinine behavior!" She shouted. "Here I was, thinking that we'd actually get some work done, that you'd be able to put your ugly, no good di-" Sunset paused for a moment, collecting herself. She brushed a lock of her long, red hair out of her face, looking pensive for a moment. "No, You know what? I don't buy it. You're too smart for this to be a mere slip of the tongue. You're many things, but stupid isn't one of them. You were thinking about this from the very start, weren't you?"

"No, of course not!" Flash said defensively, trying his best to look offended. "I would never-"

"It worked with Trixie, too."

"I, um, what?"

"Oh please!" Sunset scowled. "You porked her at least a dozen times while we were still dating! What, you think I'd be too stupid to realize that?"

"How'd you-"

"Girls talk, Flash, and nothing that's said around our school fails to get to me. I tried my best to convince myself you weren't going out and banging other girls while we were going out, that I was somehow good enough for you. I was almost crushed when it finally dawned on me that I wasn't." Sunset smirked. "I'm almost a bit flattered that you'd proposition me like this. At least that shows that I'm not some irredeemably hideous witch or anything. No, you just can't keep your pants on for five minutes."

"It's not like that!"

"Isn't it? Come on, Flash, I wasn't born yesterday. You had this planned from the very beginning, from the very moment you offered to study with me. And here I was, stupid enough to think you were actually concerned about my grades. I thought that maybe, just maybe you were simply giving a good turn and willing to help me out." She smiled. "For a moment there, I saw the same kind of man that tugged at my hearstrings, that you were the kind-spirited man that I once thought I knew." Her face darkened. "But no, it was just about the sex."

"I..."

"It was always about the sex, wasn't it?"

"No, of course it wasn't about-"

"No, you've said enough already." Sunset cut him off, turning away. "We're done here."

With that, she walked out the door to Flash Sentry's bedroom, not even bothering to slam it. He wasn't worth her time, and she wouldn't give him the satisfaction of an emotion. Staying angry with him gave him credit, and he didn't deserve that. He could sit there and wallow in his own stupidity until he rots for all she cared. As she strode out the front door to his family's house,
