Pony May Cry
Chapter 2: First Devil Arm
Previous ChapterAuthors notes: This takes place right where the last chapter left off.
“You know, Mr.Dante, at first I was skeptical about working with you, but after that performance, I’d say you are worthy of working with someone as awesome as me, name’s Rainbow Dash.”, the blue pegasus said, walking up to Dante.
“Oh, great, I’m worthy of working with a rainbow haired pony, I feel manlier than ever currently.” Dante replied.
“I-I’m Fluttershy.”, a barely audible voice came from the yellow pegasus behind him. Making him turn around.
“What was that?” He asked.
“OKAY, now that the girls have introduced themselves, I’m Twilight Sparkle.”, The purple unicorn said, clearly trying to keep him from intimidating Fluttershy.
“Now that introductions are out of the way, we may proceed to Equestria.”
Celestia fired a beam from her horn, causing the hellgate to take form into a heart shaped portal.
“Wow, if Lady were to catch me doing this. I’d be the laughing stock of the group.” Dante said as he walked in.
As the Temen-ni-gru prepared to rise, the man in blue stood before his minion.
“Sanctus, is the hellgate ready?”, he breathed slowly.
The demon behind him spoke in a raspy voice, almost as if it’s vocal cords had been crushed sometime before. It looked like that of a mortal priest, but with black eyes that had red pupils.
“Yes, Master Vergil, but why do we not just use your power of Sparda.”
Vergil only scoffed.
“You know from experience, that the power of Sparda doesn’t stop Dante, and it wasn’t even him who did you in, it was Nero.”
Sanctus hissed at the mention of the name, before angelic(?) wings grew from his back and he flew away.
“If I know Celestia, she fell right into my trap, she went to get Dante thinking she would need the help of Sparda. A mere pawn, no way she can stop the future.”, Vergil quickly excused the idea. He knew she could foresee it, which is why he came up with an elaborate plan, one that could not be beaten.
Vergil merely sat down.
“So let me get this straight,” Dante said, “You want me to go in to the Temen-ni-gru a second time to face my brother.”
“Face him. Don’t kill him.” Celestia said. “You just have to weaken him, the Elements of Harmony will take it from there.”
“And I’m guessing these Elements are what is going to ‘tame’ the tower.”, Dante replied, trying to get as much information as possible.
“No, they will play their part in taming it, but you are a required function.”, Celestia explained, “As for the time being, allow me to show you where Ponyville is.”
Dante held back a chuckle at the name before bursting out in laughter.
“PONYVILLE! Oh man! I finally found something more cliche than Nero!”, he laughed, remembering Nero as the “Lovestruck underdog” in the action movie that was his life.
Celestia did a facehoof before looking directly at Dante.
“The name of the town may be funny, but the grounds it was built on are no laughing matter. When Ponyville was originally built, I had it so that the Temen-ni-gru would rise there, but that was before its corruption, years past and I knew that since the ponies refused to move, someone would have to tame it.”’
“Just let me fly solo.”, Dante said, still angered with the fact that he had to work with ponies.
“Then who is going to tame it?”, Celestia asked.
“Give me a mirror and I’ll show ya who will destroy it.” Dante said, making Celestia raise an eyebrow.
He quickly held out his gun, slowly bringing it up and pointing it at the window and pulling the trigger, a huge demon fell and collapsed to the ground before getting back up, much to everypony’s surprise.
The demon shook its head and looked directly at Dante. It had three horns on its head, bright green eyes, its skin was burnt black, it looked like a stereotypical satanic centaur, but the part that intrigued Dante, was the weapon it carried was a triple mace that appeared to be made out of flaming bones.
“How did you know?”
“Simple, I’ve said it back it in Fortuna, and I will say it here. You can hide your body, but there is no hiding that smell. Now do you want to fight or go back to being the mascot for a heavy metal band.”
Dante holstered Ebony before quickly pulling out Rebellion and thrusting forward with Stinger. The Stinger backfired as the demon slung his mace across the side, knocking Dante to the side with a fierce blow.
Dante recovered from the blow quickly and pulled out Ebony and Ivory before opening fire, to which the demon replied to by merely spinning the mace in front of itself, causing the fire to create a demonic shield.
“Oh, someone’s been doing their homework. Now it’s time for the test”, Dante said, seeing the demon had learned his tricks.
But the demon had not counted on one thing, the ponies.
Twilight shot a beam from her horn, causing nearby trees to collapse on the demon. Celestia smiled at her students quick thinking.
Dante again pulled out Rebellion and ran up before unleashing a flurry of slashes upon the demon’s face causing the demon to rear back in pain.
Pulling out his pistols, he leaped up, going a good 20 feet skyward before sending bullets into both of its eyes.
“F minus.”, Dante chuckled.
As the demon struggled for breath, it realized it was no use, it had been bested.
“Fine, Son of Sparda, take my soul, you have my blessing.”, it said, before collapsing into a blinding light.
As the light went towards Dante, it revealed a new devil arm. A smaller variation of the mace the demon wielded.
Weapon: Satan.
Description: It is believed the three deadliest sinners souls are forever trapped in this triple mace, as their skulls are used as flaming indestructible weapons, they appear to be fully aware of what is going on.
