Chapter 11: That Woman Was Six Foot Four!

That Woman Was Six Foot Four!

She was wrong. She had been so ready.

It had taken a little while, but Aria had quickly gotten into living with Adagio and Sonata. The club was relatively quiet, what with the apartment being soundproofed, and Sonata had been an absolute bundle of energy from day one. Her first day here had been greeted with Sonata making her breakfast, Adagio sending a runner out to pick her up some everyday things, and then the two of them dragging her back to bed without her clothes.

After about a month, she’d grown to love living with the two of them. And both of them were still trying to get her to call Adagio ‘Mommy’.

“Come oooon! It’s fun! Of course she’s not our actual mother, but it’s cute and fun! Besides, we both have sucky mothers, anyway. So why not?” Sonata urged, pouting a little.

“It’s still weird! Why do you find that so hot anyway?” Aria shifted in her chair.

“I don’t really know,” Sonata admitted, sitting back down, “I mean, I know it’s pretty hot and fun since she’s an older woman and very motherly… But beyond that? I don’t know! I just kinda find it real sexy, you know? She’s like a MILF but yet not an actual MILF!”

“MILFs don’t have sex with their daughters, Sonata,” Aria snickered.

“You know what I mean!” Sonata pouted, “I know it’s kind of odd, but still. It’s really fun!”

Aria groaned softly, “I still don’t know…”

“Okay, you’ll get into it soon, promise,” Sonata kissed her cheek, “So… you never mentioned… did your parents find out you were gone yet?”

“I don’t know,” Aria shrugged, “I can see why you didn’t want anybody finding you…”

“Did you leave your phone and laptop behind, too?”

“My laptop got fried a week before I came out here,” Aria shrugged, “And my phone’s in my bag. Why?”

Sonata hissed a little bit, “Have you… used it? Checked it?”

“Not really,” Aria looked at her questioningly.

“Why not?”

“I dunno, never thought to?” Aria shrugged.

“Well, not for nothing, but they could end up tracking you with it.”

Aria groaned, “I can just turn them away… like you do. Though my parents are a hell of a lot more possessive…”

“I know,” Sonata wrinkled her nose, “Plus your Mom will try to psychoanalyze you through what you did and trying to bring you back home ‘cause of it…”

“Yeah… think Ada can throw her out?” Aria asked quietly.

Sonata smiled, “Oh, she’d find a way.”

Aria smiled somewhat as she pulled Sonata into a hug. Just as she had, Adagio swung open the door and strolled in.

“Oh girls! Do you remember those two young ladies from last week?” Adagio asked with a smile.

Looking up, Sonata nodded, “Yeah! What about ‘em?”

“They’re eloping in Canterlot before they head home, and we were invited,” Adagio smiled.

“Ooooh! Yay! That’s so cool!” Sonata clapped happily, “I like the sound of that! Finally, a nice simple and right-to-the-point kind of wedding! I’m so sick of those stuffy, over the top, full of white stupid weddings I always had to go to!”

Adagio giggled and pulled the two of them over to the couch and settling them on either side of her, “Oh I know, sweetie. But it’s just a small little thing with Princess Celestia.”

“Whoa!” Sonata gaped, “And with the Princess! That’s so cool! Oh wow, I never saw an eloped wedding before! They’re so cute together, so this is gonna be fun!”

“Mmhmm,” Adagio giggled, “What do you two want to get for them?”

Sonata pondered for a few moments, tapping her chin, “Oh, gosh… that’s a good question! Back when I attended weddings, my parents always handled the wedding gift. And usually, you’d get the bride and groom something like a toaster! But I don’t think they’d want that… Hmmmm… A painting? Maybe a set of plates?”

“I say get the redhead something to match what her girlfriend was wearing when she was here,” Aria snickered, to which Adagio giggled and patted her head.

“You mean the sexy outfit and leather jacket? Ha! That’d be funny!” Sonata giggled, “Nooo, we gotta get them something nice!”

“We can do both,” Adagio giggled, “There’s three of us.”

“Oooh! Good idea!” Sonata nodded eagerly, “What do you want to get them Mo-er, Adagio?”

“You can still call me Mommy, just because Aria’s being a stick in the mud doesn’t mean you have to,” Adagio teased as she patted a box at her feet, “And I already got them something. Something a little adventurous for their wedding night,” she smirked.

Sonata giggled, winking, “Sounds like a neat idea!”

“What did you do?” Aria asked, looking down at the box and turning it over, “Dear lord! That’s gonna tear that poor girl in two!”

“Why?” Sonata asked, glancing at the box, “Oooh my!”

“How big is that thing?” Aria asked in surprise.

“About a foot,” Adagio giggled, “I was talking with… what was her name… Twilight. She’s been getting more and more into dominating her little cutie.”

“Little? That woman was six foot four!”

“You know what I mean, Ari-baby,” Adagio giggled, “I thought she might enjoy this.”

“Oooh yeah, she’s so going to enjoy that!” Sonata whistled, “Dang! I wonder who even could take one that long!”

“She’s a big girl, I’m sure she’ll manage,” Adagio giggled, “So, have you thought about what you want to get them, Sona?”

Sonata thought about it for a few moments, tapping her knees, humming, and glancing about for ideas. Eventually, she snapped her fingers, “I think I have an idea!”

“Oh? What is it, sweetheart?”

“I’m going to get them silk robes! Customized! I met a tailor last month and I helped him with some stuff, so he kind of owes me a favour,” Sonata winked at the two of them.

“Oooh, exotic!” Adagio smiled, cuddling Sonata close to her chest, “That’s Mommy’s girl, thinking of the nice presents.”

Aria nodded, “Yeah, that’d be a great present. So, a sex toy and silk robes… What am I gonna contribute? Those are kinda tough acts to follow.”

“Oh, come on! You’ll think of something nice!” Sonata rubbed her back, “Remember my birthdays and Christmas? You always gave me something awesome! Some things I didn’t even know I’d ever want! So you just gotta tap into that intuition and you’ll figure it out!”

“Didn’t you suggest the sexy clothes?” Adagio giggled.

“I was kind of joking,” Aria chuckled, “But I think I might go with something like that.”

“There we go,” Adagio purred, stroking Aria’s hair, “We’re all set for the wedding tomorrow, then. Lovely.”

“Woohoo!” Sonata clapped, “Oh, we’re going to have a blast!”

“Yes we are,” Adagio smiled, kissing the top of Sonata’s head, “You’re just so adorable when you’re happy.”

Blushing a little, Sonata nuzzled her shoulder, “Awww, gee…”

“Shhh,” Adagio whispered softly as she rubbed Vapor Rub over Sonata’s chest, “I know it aches, sweetheart. But don’t worry, Mommy’s here…”

Sonata tried to take a deep breath, but was greeted by another little cough, “I’m trying… I just feel like… like… I don’t know, something that wants to just curl up and sleep.”

Adagio cooed softly as she leaned in and kissed Sonata’s forehead, “Poor baby…” she whispered as she continued to rub, “You want Mommy to make you some soup?”

“Yes, please…” Sonata nodded, sniffling loudly as she rubbed her nose with a tissue.

Adagio smiled as she gently withdrew her hand from Sonata’s chest, wiping the vapor rub off with a tissue as she pulled the covers back over her, “Alright. You snuggle up with your teddy bear and I’ll make you some lunch.”

Sniffling more, Sonata took hold of her favourite teddy bear and snuggled it, “Thanks, Mommy…”

Adagio stood up and closed the door as she left, finding Aria hanging in the hallway, “Poor sweetheart’s sick as a dog in there,” she whispered.

“Yeah, no kidding,” Aria gave a light sigh, “When I heard the flu was going around at the wedding, I was beginning to wonder which one of us was going to catch it. As luck would have it, it’s Sonata. Terrific.”

Adagio nodded as the two of them made their way to the kitchen, “It just breaks my heart seeing her like this,” she said as she grabbed a can of chicken broth out of the cupboard, “Ari-baby, be a dear and cut up some chicken, would you?”

“Sure…” Aria wrinkled her nose slightly, but otherwise obliged as she took out some chicken pieces from the fridge, “Any idea how bad it is? I heard her hacking up a lung in there, I was wondering if it was full-on flu or not.”

“It’s a flu, and a pretty bad one too,” Adagio sighed, “Her doctor gave me some antibiotics for it, and to make sure she sleeps on her side.”

“Oh...damn,” Aria shook her head, taking out a knife and a cutting board, “I’ll just crash on the couch until she’s better.”

Adagio nodded, “That would probably be best, sweetheart,” she sighed as she set the broth to a boil, pulling out a bag of noodles.

“No kidding,” Aria proceed to cut up some chicken, “I remember when she got sick when we were kids. She had the chicken pox one time, and I went over to bring her homework. Of course, neither of us knew it was contagious. Guess what happened not a week later?”

“You caught it?” Adagio smirked, looking over to her.

Aria nodded with a sigh, “Oh yeah. Sonata came over every day while I had them. She took a marker and played connect the dots with my spots. She drew a rabbit on my foot and named him Footie. Then a butterfly on my arm, a turtle on my leg, and then a heart on my shoulder. Took days to get the ink off, though…”

Adagio chuckled as she set the noodles into a boil, “That sounds exactly like Sona.”

Giving a little smile, Aria nodded, “Yeah. She always had a way of cheering me up when I was sick. Then whenever she was sick, I was usually afraid to go see her. When she’s sick, it hits her hard and you can’t imagine seeing such a sweet and bubbly girl so down on her luck. But I knew I had to suck it up and be there for her, because I know she’d be sad if I wasn’t.”

“Oh I know,” Adagio pouted, “That poor sweetie is so miserable. You might be parking it on the couch but there’s no way I am.”

“Where are you gonna sleep? The other room?” Aria queried.

“No, I’m gonna be there to cuddle my baby,” Adagio asserted as she stirred the noodles and the broth together.

“But what if you get sick, too?” Aria came over to slide the slices of chicken into the pot, “I mean, not that we won’t take care of you, but still.”

“I’ll risk it,” Adagio nodded, “There’s no way I’m letting that poor girl sleep alone tonight.”

Aria shrugged a bit, “If you say so.”

Aria handed Adagio the chicken, to which she dropped it into the pot as she began to season it with salt and spices. Adagio reached over and brought Aria close, kissing her forehead, “Thank you, sweetie.”

“You’re welcome,” Aria kissed her cheek, “Happy to help.”

Adagio stirred the soup and laid the lid over it, setting it to simmer, “It should be ready in a few minutes. I haven’t made my mother’s soup in years.”

“Smells delicious,” Aria remarked with a nod.

Adagio lifted the lid and scooped a spoonful out, holding it up to Aria’s lips, “Here. Taste,” she smiled.

Doing so, Aria slurped in the helping, swallowing after a few moments, “Yeah… yeah, that’s really really good.”

Adagio grinned and leaned in, gently kissing Aria as she replaced the lid, “This should make her feel better,” she giggled.

“Yeah, definitely should,” Aria nuzzled her a little, “At least it’ll put a smile on her face.”

Adagio wrapped her arms around Aria’s waist, gently hugging her as she set her under her chin, “Mmhmm. She’s never had my soup before.”

“Guess she’ll be in for quite a treat,” Aria remarked, snuggling against her a little.

“Mmm, you’re cuddly today,” Adagio smiled as she gently squeezed her.

“I can be if I want to be…” Aria pouted.

Adagio smiled as she kissed the top of Aria’s head, “Mommy likes.”

“Mommy!” Sonata called from the bedroom, “Is the soup ready yet?”

“Almost, sweetheart!” Adagio called back, “Just a few more minutes!”

Aria glanced toward the door, then at Adagio, “Even sick, she calls you Mommy.”

Adagio giggled, “Why wouldn’t she? Who doesn’t want their Mommy when they’re sick?”

“...I guess so,” Aria shrugged a bit, “It’s less creepy, at least.”

“You’re just being silly, it’s never creepy,” Adagio stuck her tongue out at her as she cuddled her closer, “Mommy loves you too, Aria.”

“Okay, love you too,” Aria murmured, snuggling against her.

Adagio giggled as she let go, returning to the pot as she ladled some soup into a bowl, “Excuse me, Mommy has to take care of her baby.”

“Knock yourself out,” Aria stretched a little bit, “Anything else I can do?”

“No, you can relax, sweetheart,” Adagio smiled as she returned to Sonata’s room with a tray in hand, laden with a bowl of soup, some buttered bread and a mug of warm tea, “Here we go, sweetie. Mommy brought you lunch,” she cooed as she set the tray over Sonata’s lap.

“Thanks, Mommy…” Sonata gave a weak, but overall grateful smile, “I already feel better just smelling it.”

Adagio sat down on the side of the bed and gently ran her fingers through Sonata’s hair, “It’s Mommy’s special recipe, sweetheart.”

“How so?” Sonata queried.

“I made it from scratch with special spices,” Adagio smiled, bringing her arm around Sonata’s shoulder and kissing her cheek.

Sonata smiled, sniffing the soup, finding herself relieved to be able to smell, “It smells soooo yummy…” She took the spoon, proceeding to sample a bit of it, “Yummy! It’s good…”

Adagio grinned and kissed her cheek again, “Oh that’s good! I’m glad you like it, sweetie.”

“It’s so delicious…” Sonata murmured happily, slurping from her spoon and letting the warm, spicy liquid run down her throat, “Mmm… Best soup I think I ever had… Don’t tell Granny Dusk...”

“It’ll be our little secret,” Adagio giggled, gently squeezing Sonata’s shoulder.

Sonata giggled, letting out a small cough, and then taking in more soup, “Is there tomato in it? It tastes like it.. I like tomato.”

“Mmhmm,” Adagio smiled, “I chopped up all kinds of veggies for you, sweetheart.”

“Yay…” Sonata nuzzled her, “You’re the best, Mommy… I never used to like being sick… But now I don’t mind it if you’re here…”

Adagio laid a hand over her chest as she nuzzled into Sonata’s hair, “Aw, thank you, sweetie. Mommy loves taking care of her special girl.”

Sonata giggled, now taking the mug of tea and sipping it, “Aaahh… And I love you taking care of me… I feel safe…”

Adagio gently brought her arms around Sonata’s shoulders as she settled herself behind her, letting Sonata relax against her chest as she continued to eat, “You should. Mommy will keep you safe.”

“You always have…” Sonata said amidst a little cough, taking a piece of bread and chewing on it, “Mmmm… this feels nice…”

Wrapping her arms around Sonata’s waist, she cuddled her close as she gently laid a few flu tablets onto the tray, “Here’s some medicine, sweetheart,” she purred as she kissed her cheek.

“I hope they won’t make me loopy…” Sonata took the tablets, placing them into her mouth and chasing them down with her tea.

Adagio giggled and stroked Sonata’s stomach, “They’ll make you drowsy so you’ll go to sleep,” she nuzzled her nose into Sonata’s cheek.

“Okay, I guess that works,” Sonata murmured, nuzzling her and then continuing to eat, “Are you sure? I don’t want you getting sick, too…”

“Oh I am not leaving my Sona-baby alone tonight,” Adagio insisted, “My baby’s sick, she shouldn’t sleep without her snuggles.”

Sonata giggled, “Awww… you’re too much, Mommy…”

Adagio purred and nuzzled Sonata’s cheek, “Anything for Mommy’s special girl.”

“Aww… and if you get sick, I’ll take care of you… I’d be a Mommy for a Mommy…” Sonata giggled, eating more soup.

Adagio smiled and nuzzled Sonata’s cheek again, “I’ll hold you to that, sweetheart,” she said as she noticed Aria watching from the doorway.

“You do that,” Sonata giggled, then looked up, smiling toward Aria, “Hi, Aria! How are you?”

“I’m alright… just watchin’ you two,” Aria gave a small smile, “You guys are cute…”

Sonata beamed, as much as she could, and giggled, “Really?”

Aria nodded, “Yeah… this is sweet,” she smiled.

Drinking her tea, Sonata giggled, “Yay… I’d hug and kiss you, but I sick. So I’ll blow you one,” she blew Aria a kiss.

Aria blew a kiss right back as she watched Adagio nuzzle Sonata under her chin, “I’m gonna sleep on the couch tonight. You feel better, okay?”

“Okay, Aria… I will,” Sonata smiled a bit more, “I understand.”

“Mommy loves you too, Aria,” Adagio said cheekily as she watched Aria turned away from the door.

Sonata giggled, “I think I just saw her tense up…”

“We’re getting to her,” Adagio purred as she kissed the back of Sonata’s head.

“We sure are,” Sonata munched on some bread with a smile.

Adagio giggled as she watched Sonata eat, “You’re such a cutie, sweetheart.”

“Even when I’m sick? I don’t look or feel good at all…”

“You’re still so sweet and tiny,” Adagio cooed, squeezing Sonata’s waist.

“Thanks, Mommy…” Sonata leaned back against her, sipping some tea, “I’m glad my sicky face and messy hair doesn’t make you run for the hills…”

Adagio mewled in discontent, “Don’t say that, sweetheart. Mommy would never run from you.”

“I sowwy, you’re right. I shouldn’t say that,” Sonata pouted a little, “I know you’d love me no matter what.”

Adagio nodded, “Mmhmm. Mommy loves you, Sona-baby.”

“And Sona-baby loves you too, Mommy,” Sonata cooed with a giggle, placing her mug back down, “Aaahh… I’m all done. Sooo yummy…”

Adagio lifted the tray off her lap and set it aside, snuggled down as she pulled Sonata against her, “There we go. That’s what Mommy’s baby needed. A nice lunch and then a nap.”

“Okay, I’ll take a nap… I’m beginning to feel sleepy,” Sonata yawned a bit.

Adagio rolled onto her side, pulling Sonata in under her chin as she snuggled her close, nuzzling her hair, “There we go. Go to sleep, sweetheart…”

“I will, Mommy…” Sonata murmured, closing her eyes, “Mmm… So cozy.... I’ll be better in no time…”

Adagio smiled and cooed softly as she kissed Sonata’s hair, “I’m sure you will, sweetheart…” Next Chapter: No More Throw Up Estimated time remaining: 7 Hours, 31 Minutes
