The beloved Princess Nightmare Moon ruled over the winged vampires, magical undead liches, and hardy werewolf ponies of the Lunar Empire. Theirs was a kingdom of the holy darkness underneath an eternal night, and they were a strong, proud nation.

Lord Discord ruled over a neighboring kingdom of chaos, and when conflict broke out between the two, the War of Chaos and Darkness consumed the world. Now, centuries later, both lands and the planet itself have been laid to ruin.

It is through this dark, desolate landscape that a few brave souls venture towards the skeletal remains of a once mighty city, intent on finding the rumored secret within that can save what's left of the world from the aftermath of the war.
