The Troublesome Trio

by Justin Daniels

Chapter 1: Episode 1.

Author's Notes:

Welcome, My Little Bronies, to my new AiE story... one that takes a completely different turn from my former one, no less!

Due to several complaints, I've decided to make this one a First-Person story, as this AiE is actually planned to be a lengthy story altogether, and would receive multiple complaints if it were written in Second-Person.

Instead of using the regular "Anon", however, I've actually given him a different name, altogether! Now, welcome to the Anonyverse... "Random Anon", AKA, "Randy"! :pinkiehappy:/)

Anyways, so this story is most primarily made out of the comedy aspect, and due to the fact that Pinkie and her similar-to-herself friends are the primary characters, you can expect the format to break the forth wall on several occasions! Also, many things may not make much sense. If that is the case, then just go with it, since Pinkie Pie is the subject here.

So without further ado... *Clears throat*

ATTENTION

The following story is going to totally kick flank. If you enjoy ANY of it, and/or are a 20% cooler person, Please Hit That Thumbs-Up, And Favorite It With The Star. ENJOY!

The Everfree Forest

I'm rubbing my chin, as I hum while examining the surrounding trees around me. Surprise, the pegasus mare with a white coat, purple eyes, and blonde mane, is standing right beside me, staring into my eyes, while I look up at the sky, lost in thought... well, she looks at them when they wander to the position where she could actually see them, at least. She has two hands, and both of them are crossed over her chest, which is covered with a bright lavender dress that lowers down to the halfway mark between her thighs. Long, bright gray stockings cover her legs up to where her knees are, and a pair of flat black loafers cover the bottoms of her hooves.

Finally, after another long moment of deep-thinking, I decide to point to a certain area slightly at my left and ask, "Is it a... tree?"

Surprise giggles and shakes her head left and right before speaking in her high-pitched voice. "Nope! Try again!"

"Damn..." I scratch the back of my head in thought before a wide smile forms on my face. "Then in that case... is it the grass?"

A large portion of streamers fly out from in-between her wings while they stretch out along with her arms. She then proceeds to reply in her usual loud approving tone, "DING DING! YOU GOT IT!"

I can't help but chuckle. "Now, then! I spy something... blue!"

"The sky!"

"Crap."

"No, that's brown! And occasionally white, green, and red!"

"Um... right. Okay, then! Your turn again!"

She nods her head and looks around once again, as we continue to walk down the dirt road. "I spy something... blue!"

"Is it the sky?"

"Darn it! You got it right!"

We pause for a moment before bursting out into a fit of laughter. For the past hour or so, we've been playing "I Spy"... and calling out different things that we've found on our trip towards civilization... though by "different", I mostly mean the same type of thing... but a different one. We also call out the same thing on special occasions to try tricking the other... so far, it's a draw.

The trip has been, as far as I can remember, fruitless (metaphorically speaking, of course), and we've been in this strange forest for at least a month, now. We were still lucky enough to find plenty of edible veggies throughout the place, though... but for some odd reason, I haven't had any cravings for meat. Not sure why, though... must be a side-effect for whatever she did to medicate me after my painful fall upon getting here.

She and I have grown towards a brother-sister relationship at this point. Mostly because we have so much in common!

To start it off, we both can't remember anything about our past, besides our own names... and even that is a blur!

Second, we love to laugh just about as much as we love making others smile and laugh, too!

Third, we love parties! And not just simple little birthday parties, either! I'm talking big, high-rising, streamer-flying, music-blasting, dance-filled, army-crowded, makes-you-want-to-cover-your-ears parties! Those are the best! We even love making funny names for those parties, believe it or not! And you may be wondering why I'm writing this in one paragraph... but trust me. You wouldn't want there to be multiple paragraphs with the same subject in it, would you?

"Hey, Randy! Are you messing with that Forth Wall again?" Crap.

"Um... yeah?" I reply nervously as I turn from the mysterious camera that chases us around to her. "What, should I put a Time Card over their view while we continue this walk?"

She nods her head and chuckles. "Yeah. They might get bored hearing us play 'I Spy' for the next few hours!"

I nod my head in agreement before turning towards you the mysterious floating camera. Then I shrug my shoulders and say, "Kay, just a second!" before lifting the time card up, and placing it over the screen.

After many hours of nonstop walking and talking, Surprise finally squeals in delight as I wait for her next sight.

"I spy a town!" She says, which makes me look her way with an even wider smile than before.

"Is it that place over there?" I ask before pointing my finger towards the town over in the distance before us.

"Yep! That's the one! Wait, darn it! You got it again!"

I chuckle and stick my tongue out at her, as we approach the beautiful-looking houses. "Well, what can I say? There's gotta be a tie breaker at some point, right?"

She shrugs but her smile continues to remain attached to her face. "Yeah, I suppose you're right! Good game, Randy!"

We both stretch our right hands out and clap them together in a handshake... that quickly turns into a double-shocking jolt of electricity. We then laugh even harder when we raise our right hands; revealing the shock buttons conveniently hidden on our palms, and attached by a single yellow cloth strand wrapped around our hands.

After that, I look around the... surprisingly empty streets of this place in this beautiful sunny day.

"Huh. Is this place some sort of ghost town, or something?" I ask while looking back and forth.

Surprise shrugs her shoulders before replying, "Not sure, Randy... might be something going on near Town Hall." She squints her eyes, and catches a glimpse of a distant pony running into her house and slamming the door shut. "Or... maybe they're just avoiding something?"

I hum before rubbing my chin in thought. "I wonder what they could be avoiding? I mean... we did take a bath in that lake earlier today, so we don't smell bad... do we?" I sniff underneath my right armpit and hum, before walking up to Surprise and smelling her mane.

"Well?" she asks before sniffing under her armpits. "Hm... my mane doesn't smell bad, does it?"

I shake my head and reply, "No, it still smells like sweet and buttery popcorn." That's when I notice a building that stands out from the rest up ahead. Needless to say, the description would be too hard to describe, so I'll just go on ahead and turn the camera towards it, also.

"Wow! I could live in a place like that!" Surprise says through her drooling gaze.

I notice that my own mouth happens to be watering, also. I can't help but nod my head in response. "You said it, sis! Maybe if this place isn't occupied, we can ask to move into it! And we wouldn't even need to remodel it to look like a bakery, either!" I rub my hands and smile at the sky. "Oh, how I've always dreamed of working at a bakery!"

Surprise nods her head and hugs her chest with her arms while swaying left and right. "Ooh, I know! I know! And maybe I can work a popcorn stand inside it! Hey, do you think these ponies know what popcorn is?"

I chuckle and stroke her mane, which wins a giggle from her. "C'mon, sis! These ponies would have to live in the Dark Age to not know what popcorn is! But from the looks of it, they don't have any stalls in the market that sells popcorn, so maybe you could set one up outside if they don't allow us to work at that place!" I then rub my chin in thought while noticing an abandoned apple stand. "Huh... apples? Who would leave their apple stand unattended?"

Surprise shrugs her shoulders before walking towards the sweet-looking house. I quickly follow her while she (trots?) towards the door, and gently gives it a few knocks when I make it right beside her. "Hello? Is anypony in there?" she asks before placing her right ear on the door to check for any kinds of sounds from the inside. I follow suit with my left ear (since I'm standing at her left, after all) and hold my breath to avoid making any sounds.

Seconds pass... and after that, a single minute. Then, when I'm about to leave, I hear a western voice speak from the other side. "Y'all think they left, yet?"

I frown and knock on the door. "Hello! We know you're in there! What's going on? Is there a monster outside?"

Surprise gasps before looking behind our backs. Then she frantically bangs on the door with both hands. "PLEASE DON'T LEAVE US OUT HERE FOR ANY MONSTERS TO COME AND GET US!"

Another high-pitched voice calls back from inside. "OH MY GOSH! TWILIGHT, DID THEY JUST SAY THERE'S A MONSTER OUT THERE?!"

Suddenly, out of nowhere, Surprise's wings flare up, and following that, she begins shaking frantically... something I haven't seen her do before, besides when she was splashed with cold water. (That prank was funny, so I regret nothing! Besides, I lent her my jacket afterwards!)

"Surprise? Are you okay, sis?" I ask concernedly. When things were wrong, my cheer is quickly put on hold, and an alternate personality takes place... a natural-born caretaker. That could be, perhaps, the only thing different between us. When serious situations rise up, I show compassion, while Surprise shows sadness.

"I... I d-don't k-k-k-know!" she says between shudders.

I nearly reach towards my chest to unbutton my jacket, but for some odd reason, the world around me begins to vibrate... oh, wait. I've got a case of the shudders too, for some odd reason! Is this my "Random Sense" and Surprise's "Surprise Sense" going on?!

When her tail twitches, my feet start to clatter. When her ears flop, my legs feel like they're about to just shut down... I've fallen down a lot as a result. Regardless, though, something always happens in the end! For instance, when her tail twitches and my feet clatter, something or someone falls somewhere nearby! I've also had combos, which are pretty much multiple signs happening in a row at once... but I'll cover more of that later.

From inside the building, I hear the high-pitched voice getting louder... and for some odd reason, the closer the voice gets, the more familiar it sounds! I put my fingers on my chin in thought while the two of us continue to shake uncontrollably.

The high-pitched voice... check!

The speed of said high-pitched voice... check!

The way how the voice, despite being filled with fear, sounds like it's also humorous in nature... check!

"PINKIE PIE! GET AWAY FROM THAT DOOR!" a somewhat nerdy-sounding mare's voice calls from the other side.

"T-T-T-Twilight! I h-h-h-have the s-s-s-shudders again!" the high-pitched voice on the other side, who I'm guessing is Pinkie Pie, replies.

"I-i-is t-t-t-there a c-c-c-c-cure for t-the sh-sh-shudders in t-t-t-t-there?" Surprise asks anyone inside the house.

"Um... sorry, but that's not a disease... why do you ask, though?" the nerdy voice (who my Random Sense says is Twilight) replies.

I reply, "B-b-b-because w-w-we h-h-h-have the sh-sh-shudders t-t-too!"

There's an audible gasp inside... and it sounds like it came from seven mares, one stallion, and one young colt... or dragon, as my Random Sense told me. (Sometimes, it can even be random for me, also!)

I hear Pinkie say from the other side, "W-w-w-well, w-w-we s-should p-p-pro-probably s-s-see what's g-g-going o-o-on, t-t-then!"

"A-a-a-a-agreed!" Surprise replies.

After a moment of nonstop shuddering, the door gives out a series of clicking noises that imply that the door is being unlocked. Then it slowly creaks open, revealing a lavender-coated unicorn mare with a dark blue mane that has a magenta stripe adorning it vertically. For clothes, she appears to be wearing the usual getup a librarian would wear; a white dress shirt with a black rigid skirt that sinks down to below her knees. On her legs, she appears to be wearing a pair of white stockings, while on her hooves, she's wearing a pair of loafers similar to the ones Surprise is wearing.

When she sees me, she backs away slightly with a nervous expression, then slowly creaks the door open even more when she sees me doing nothing more than shuddering... until she opens it enough to notice Surprise, that is. Then, when she sees her, her eyes go wide, and her jaw drops, as if she's looking directly at a ghost.

That's when a crowd of five more pairs of eyes appear from the darkness directly in front of the door, while my Random Sense tells me there's three more staring at us from the windows upstairs.

When Surprise sees one of the mares inside the room in particular, her eyes widen, and her jaw drops... though this time, literally. The mare in question does the same, as the three of our shuddering begins to intensify. Then, I quickly feel my hands inflate, then the inflation sinks down into my feet, then my stomach, and my head, and before I know it, a burst of confetti flies out of my noggin, while I'm too busy gawking at the sight before me. (The others who were shuddering pretty much did what I did just a second ago while I was doing it, as well. I don't know why anyone else doesn't inflate their hands, transfer the inflation to their feet, then their stomach, and finally their heads more often! I mean, it's quite a good cure-all for every form of stress there is! Oh, right! Getting off-topic, like the time I spoke to the camera before it was on about cherrychangas! Or should I call them chimmycherries?)

In front of Surprise stands a mare exactly identical to her in body shape, facial structure, mane and tail style, and even dress style! The differences, however, is the fact that this one has a dark pink mane, a bright pink coat, light blue eyes, a white dress, and blue/yellow striped stockings... or were they yellow/blue? Eh, whatever! Also, she's wearing loafers similar to Surprise and Twilight. Another factor about her is that she isn't a pegasus... she is an earth pony.

Finally, when they manage to pick their jaws off the floor and attach them back in place, I smirk, snap my right finger, and turn to Surprise.

"So that's what that shudder was about! We just simply ran into a pony that looks almost exactly like you, only with a pink mane and coat, a white dress, a blue and yellow-striped pair of stockings, and a black pair of loafers, who doesn't have wings!" I cross my arms and smile triumphantly, having cracked this case. Then my eyes widen, and I stare at the pink mare who, according to my Random Sense, is Pinkie Pie.

"OH, SWEET CELESTIA! THERE'S A PONY THAT LOOKS ALMOST EXACTLY LIKE SURPRISE, ONLY WITH A PINK MANE AND COAT, A WHITE DRESS, A BLUE AND YELLOW-STRIPED PAIR OF STOCKINGS, AND A BLACK PAIR OF LOAFERS, WHO DOESN'T HAVE WINGS!"

Pinkie gasps and stares at Surprise, then replies, "OH SWEET CELESTIA! THERE'S A PONY THAT LOOKS ALMOST EXACTLY LIKE ME, ONLY SHE HAS A GOLDEN MANE, A WHITE COAT, A LAVENDER DRESS, A LIGHT GRAY PAIR OF STOCKINGS, AND A BLACK PAIR OF LOAFERS, WHO'S ALSO A PEGASUS PONY!"

We stare at each other for a long moment of awkward silence. Then, while my vision starts to blur, I notice that both of their eyes cross up and down while they wobble back-and-forth. Finally, after my vision goes completely dark, I pass out. And according to my Random Sense, they are also passing out with me.

Well on the bright side... at least we found civilization, right? Best day ever!

Canterlot Throne Room

Princess Celestia is sitting on the throne, wearing her tall regal dress with golden jewelry on her fingers, around her neck, and even in her ears. On her head is a tall golden crown that has a longer horn in the center than the other few on the sides.

She's sitting down with her right hand balled up in a fist, while her right cheek is tucked in. She yawns and nearly dozes off while a few nobles continue to bicker over petty little problems. Their words are quickly lost once Princess Luna, Princess Celestia's younger sister, and Equestria's second-in-command ruler, runs inside the room wearing her night gown, which is a simple light-blue jumpsuit that opens at the center.

"Luna! What is the matter, dearest sister?" Celestia asks her panicky sister concernedly.

Luna pants as she stumbles up to the top of the stairs, and holds her right pointing finger up to motion that she needs to catch her breath, first. Then, when she finally manages to find her voice again, she speaks.

"It's about Pinkie Pie!"

Celestia's eyes widen. "Oh, no! Did she look inside that cursed pool again?!"

A group of nobles gasp in horror when they hear those words. Despite the spell Twilight did to protect Ponyville from the multiple Pinkie Clones, she was able to find the right Pinkie Pie... but despite that, she completely overlooked the Pinkie Pies that wandered off outside the outskirts of Ponyville. The damage done to Canterlot was so immense, that they were still having to repair most of the businesses, even though it's been three months since the events occurred.

Thankfully to the Nobles and Celestia, however, Luna shakes her head. "No... but I can assure you... this is worse!"

Again the room gasps. "Don't tell me... she started harvesting organs for cupcakes?!"

A few thumps could be heard from the Nobles... which turned out to be a majority of them fainting at those barbaric words. "Cupcakes" aren't part of a Noble's diet, after all.

Again Luna shakes her head left and right, which wins even more sighs. "The thing is... you remember when I told you that sometimes, when the stars align exactly the same way in multiple universes, a few individuals may risk being sent into our universe, should all of them be doing the same thing at once in their own universes? And that our universe happens to be a vacuum for those kinds of things to happen, so there will be no escaping it?"

Celestia's heart nearly skips a beat at those words. "Oh, my... so are you saying that there's two REAL Pinkie Pies in our world, now?!"

Luna shakes her head again, which makes Celestia sigh in relief.

"There's three of them. One from the 'Classicverse', and the other from the 'Gender-Swapped Anonyverse'."

There's silence filling the room... then the sound of multiple thumps, as the rest of the Nobles (with the addition of the guards in the room) faint. Celestia's mane stops flowing, and a single strand lifts out of place, as her right eye twitches.

"Mother save us all..."
