I awake to the low rumble of a bass shaking the house. A smile forms across my face, I'm in my new basement room and my ears aren't bleeding when I wake up. Forcing myself out of bed I notice the surveillance monitor to my left, Octavia is home and I can't just walk around upstairs like old times. Vinyl had the surveillance system installed so she wouldn't walk out of here accidentally showing the passageway. It's a smart idea because then she can keep what's down here a better secret, meaning me also.

  It dawns on me that this is going to be harder than I thought originally, when I try to sneak out of here to go to Canterlot. Then again Vinyl did say that Twilight had that all figured out, I guess I'll just have to put my faith in her.

The clock beside my bed says that it's 7:23 AM, I'm supposed to leave at 8:00. So I figure I have roughly thirty minutes to get ready.

  Walking over to the nearest light switch I push the button and row by row the lights turn on dramatically. The size of this place is staggering, if I had to guess, it would be one hundred by one hundred and fifty feet in length and width. Doing some quick calculations that would mean the floor is one thousand five hundred square feet.

The sudden realization hits me like a ton of bricks.

It must be a sign of being homesick and effects of being locked up in a dark basement. I get myself cleaned up to the best of my ability, but the lack of a washroom makes that difficult. I hear the door up the stairs open, my mind falls into a slight panic. The rational part of my brain fights to convince me that it's just Vinyl and I slowly calm down. She trots down the stairs floating a plate of scrambled eggs and toast with a glass of milk down for me.

"So did ya have a good sleep?" Vinyl asks.

"Yep the bed down here is actually more comfortable than the one upstairs." I say.

"That's good." She says setting my breakfast on a nearby table.

"Just make sure your ready for when we have to leave." She says before heading upstairs again.

I eat my breakfast as quickly as I can keeping a close eye on the time. When the clock strikes 8:00 I suddenly feel a strange tingling sensation. In an instant I go from sitting at the table to Twilight's library. I fall to the ground feeling sick.

"Next time could you give me a little notice." I cough.

"Sorry." Twilight sheepishly grins.

"Its okay, just give me a minute to recover."

Looking around I see all of the ponies I met on my first day, a light sense of nostalgia washes over me. Some like Fluttershy are slowly warming up to me, and it will be nice when she doesn't cower behind her hair at the sight of me. Rainbow Dash is hovering around the room reading a book that would be equivalent to Indiana Jones back home. Meanwhile Rarity, Pinky Pie and Applejack are deep in conversation about going to Canterlot again.

"Alright. The train is at the station and is waiting for our arrival." Twilight says after studying a book intently.

"Okay, but how are we all going to get there? Can you teleport all of us?" I ask.

"No I can't, but I can teleport you into the train car itself. Then everypony else will be there shortly."

A similar feeling makes its way through my very being and I brace myself for the sick feeling soon to follow. Dropping to the floor again I feel the affects even worse than before, I clench my stomach trying not to hurl.

"Hey are you feeling okay!?"

Yet another thing I'll never get used to. Pinky Pie is already sitting in a seat in front of me, stretching her head over the backrest to face me. I try to not focus on the impossible things Pinky Pie does regularly, I'd probably have gone mad if I didn't.

"A Train. Good choice." I say.

Ten minutes later the others arrive. They all seem tired and worn out, panting as they stepped onto the train.

"Did you girls run here?"

"Kinda." Rainbow Dash says.

Only a few seconds after everyone got on I hear someone outside yell "All aboard!"

The train ride lasts about two hours. I use that time to get some sleep, resting my head against the window. They need to work on the braking mechanics for this locomotive though. When we reach Canterlot my head is almost driven through the back of the seat in front of me.

I sluggishly wake up and take in my new surroundings. Outside of the windows I can see a dense yet clean city. Every building is adorned in white as its coating and ponies all shapes and sizes are already easily seen. I start to get a familiar tingling sensation in my gut and my eyes widen at the realization of what's happening.

"No no plea.."

poof

"..se."

I drop to the ground clenching my chest and gasping for air.

  Getting my bearings I notice that I'm now in a large hallway directly in front of large golden doors. Two guards stand watch at each side. They stare straight ahead, unmoving like statues. Curiosity looms in my mind and I take a couple steps toward the thirty foot tall doors. My trek towards them are cut short though when a spear crosses into my path. Allowing my gaze to follow the tip of the spear to its owner, I find the guard pony still staring straight ahead but his horn is aglow as he holds the spear with his magic.

"Umm I'm supposed to go in here aren't I?." I ask in a very unsure manner.

"Not yet." I hear the other guard say.

  Feeling defeated I back off and find a nearby pillar to slump down against.

The agonizing wait I have before the girls caught up to me seemed to take forever. In reality it's only been fifteen minutes but when your anxious about something time seems to pass slower.

"Hey, what took you so long?" I joke.

Rainbow gives me an annoyed look.

"We didn't see why there was any need to run."

"Fair enough." I say pushing myself against the pillar to lift myself up.

"So can we go in yet?" I ask in a bored tone.

They don't say anything but they do retract their spears and the doors start to open. Light dramatically pours through the crack causing me to shield my eye's. After they adjust I see a great hall adorned with glass murals, of what I can only guess is important memories. At the end of the hall two mares stand tall, one has a dark blue coat and a mane that resembles the stars. The other one is about my hight with a white coat and a multi coloured mane.

"Twilight Sparkle my faithful student, how nice to see you again." The white one says.

"Its verry nice to see you again Princess Celestia, and princess Luna." Twilight says bowing.

It takes me a second to notice that all my friends are bowing and I'm sluggish to follow suit. Celestia and Luna chuckle and make their way over to me.

"Please do tell us, what is your name?" Celestia asks.

"M-my name is Ed." I blurt out.

A smile creases her lips." It's very nice to meet you Ed welcome to Equestria."

"Sister, may us speak in a more comfortable location. Perhaps the dining hall were we can recline at the table enjoying dinner." The blue one says

"Yes Luna I think that would be a good idea, we will discuss matters there."
