Though Blitz says he's accepted being gay, he isn't quite ready to let the world know.

After Dusk helped Blitz come to terms with his sexuality, he thought everything was settled—he could live with being gay, as long as no one found out. Unfortunately, in a small town, word can travel fast and with rumors flying around, Blitz might not have his secret safe for long. Dusk may have accepted who Blitz is, but will his friends? To Be His Mare: Acceptance

Chapter 1: Shell

The warm glow of the afternoon sun beamed down through the window. The gentle rays fell upon a rug placed on the floor of the large lobby of the Golden Oaks Library. A certain pegasus pinched his already closed eyes tightly from the late afternoon light that had slowly made its way onto his face. His ear twitched and he shifted his head to get the light out of his eyes, but it didn’t seem to be any use.

A small laugh came from the unicorn sitting on a couch across the room as he watched his coltfriend fidget from the sunlight. “It’s cute when he squirms,” Dusk Shine said to himself as he returned to his reading.

Rainbow Blitz’s ear twitched once more before he finally opened his opposite eye that was still in the shade. He let out a low groan. “Why does Prince Solaris move the sun that way?” he grumbled to himself as he rolled over onto his opposite side.

“He’s been doing so for centuries, Rainbow.” Dusk casually replied.

The sound of a page turning filled the silence that came when Blitz didn’t respond. He knew Dusk probably wasn’t waiting for one though. The stallion let out a sigh as he started drifting back off to sleep. But just as Blitz was about to return to his nap a voice rang out.

“Hey, Dusk?” Barb called out from the kitchen. “What did you guys want for dinner?”

Dusk waited until he finished with his page to reply. “I’m fine with anything, really.” Dusk looked up to see Blitz had his ears laid flat and a small scowl on his face. He couldn’t help but chuckle at the sight. “I think Rainbow will be fine with whatever as well,” he replied with a softer voice.

Barb poked her head out of the kitchen. “I wanted to make this stir fry thing tonight.”

“Stir fry?” Dusk looked up from his book.

“Yeah, I saw the recipe in that new cookbook that came to the library last week. ‘A thousand exotic recipes’ or whatever it was called.”

“I would be interested in trying it—”

“Trying to sleep here…” Blitz muttered angrily.

Barb rolled her eyes. “Middle of the day here.”

Dusk chuckled again. “She has a point, Rainbow.”

Blitz let out a groan as Barb turned her attention back to Dusk. “Anyway, I’ve got to go get some things for it before the market closes.”

“Did you need me to go with you?” Dusk started to stand up, but Barb shook her head, stopping him before he made much progress.

“No, just some bits,” she said as she walked over to a corner table. She pulled out a drawer and grabbed some money before heading to the door. “I’ll be back in a little while.”

Dusk cracked a smile and gave her a sly look. “Don’t stop by Elusive’s on the way home,” Dusk teased as Barb shut the door. Before he turned his attention back to his book however, he noticed Blitz stirring out of the corner of his eye.

“I guess I should get up,” he said, stretching his back. He shifted his weight seamlessly from pushing down on his back to stretching his hind legs. After he was done, he let out a yawn. “I got work in the morning and if I sleep too much more, I won’t want to go to bed tonight…” His wings extended out for a moment before folding back at his sides. After Blitz folded his wings, he ruffled his feathers for a moment.

“So, you’ve had your nose buried in that for a while.” He waited for a small sound of acknowledgement from Dusk before asking, “What’re you reading?”

“A book called ‘The Courtship and Mating Habits of Pegasi,’ though I’m about done with it.”

Blitz stared at him in disbelief for a moment while he registered what his coltfriend had actually said. Once it sunk in, his eyes narrowed and he stood up. “Are you seriously reading a book on how to date me?”

“Not really.” Dusk closed the book and levitated it onto the table next to the couch. “It’s not about you specifically, though I could write one if you want.” Dusk laughed his silly joke before sitting up.

“Shut up…” Blitz rolled his eyes before focusing them back on Dusk with a serious gaze. “You were seriously reading a book about dating pegasi, though! Like, you could…I don’t know, ask me?” He fell back on his rump.

“I was reading it more for an overview,” Dusk clarified. “For instance, to learn about some of the little quirks I’ve noticed.”

“Like?” Blitz raised an eyebrow.

“When you ruffled your feathers just now.” Blitz could feel his face heat up from the remark. He glanced back at his wings for a moment before looking back at Dusk. “I started noticing that recently as the weather’s been turning colder. I wouldn’t have known you did that for a little extra warmth unless I looked it up. It’s small things that I was curious about, but would feel awkward to ask.”

Blitz’s expression softened and he let out a sigh. “Just ask next time. I’d rather you ask me something stupid than read about it.” Blitz started walking towards the kitchen.

“Alright.” Dusk jumped off the couch and started following Blitz. “Since, you want me to ask questions, I was wondering: would you give me one of your feathers? Pegasi do that, right? You offer a pristine feather to your romantic partner as a show of affection?”

Blitz’s face felt like it was on fire for a moment. “You’re joking, right?” When he turned his head to see Dusk with a blissfully ignorant look, he couldn’t help but groan. “Dusk, you know I’m not comfortable with this kind of stuff yet…”

Dusk flattened his ears. “I understand, which is why I wouldn’t put it on a necklace or use it as an accessory—which is the most common application from my understanding. The cultural significance though—”

“I didn’t ask for the encyclopedia article, Dusk…” He sighed. “This is why I didn’t want you reading this crap, you try and use this stuff without really thinking it through sometimes…Look, stallions give a feather to a mare, you know that? Don’t you like to think you’re the stallion in our relationship?”

“Well, I don’t have feathers to give you…”

“I know you don’t…” Blitz rolled his eyes. “Look, this is kind of a big step. It’s like saying you’re taking the relationship seriously and stuff…” A small frown came across Dusk’s face, which made Blitz wince. “N-not that we’re not serious…but…”

“I understand. You’re not ready for it,” Dusk said, forcing a small smile. “I just want to feel like we’re more than just sex friends.”

Staring into his eyes, Blitz could see Dusk was a little hurt still. He couldn’t help but sigh as he turned around and walked up towards his coltfriend. “I get it, Dusk, I really do. You want to do more…dating type stuff than we do now…But, I’m not ready to tell it to the world that we’re a couple yet, okay? I’m still getting used to this whole being gay thing…”

Dusk nodded understandingly. “I told you I wouldn’t force you. Now that you’ve accepted it, we can move at your pace.” He gave a sincere smile that brought a small smile to Blitz’s face as well.

He leaned in to Dusk’s muzzle. “Thanks, Dusk.” He placed a kiss on his coltfriend’s lips which Dusk returned. It wasn’t long before he felt Dusk push his tongue inside his mouth. A quick burst of passion came as he felt himself being pushed down when his stallion stepped closer. Dusk quickly established his dominance and their kiss deepened. Without much resistance, he let Dusk have his little power trip, letting him probe his mouth and share his saliva.

When they broke, Dusk gave a sultry smile. “Keep that up and we might have to go upstairs.”

“Save it for tonight,” Blitz teased. But as he stared into Dusk’s eyes, he felt at ease. Having someone who accepted him wholeheartedly and cared about him so deeply was almost indescribable. Everything felt right, even if it was just Dusk, Barb, and Elusive who knew his secret.

Seeing the small, content smile on his coltfriend’s face wore down Blitz’s initial disapproval. He nodded to himself before rolling his eyes in resignation. “Alright, so what did you want my feather for? Just to have it?”

Dusk blinked absently. It took a moment for it to hit him that Blitz was giving him what he wanted. “Oh, well…if you don’t mind, I would like to use it as…” Dusk blushed. “My new favorite quill?” he asked, timidly.

“You want to use one of my awesomely amazing, top-of-the-line feathers…as a quill?” he asked with a deadpan expression.

Dusk nodded, embarrassed.

Blitz sighed. “Alright…but only because I’m feeling generous.” He extended his wing for Dusk to see and spread his feathers. “Take your pick…”

“Really?”

“Yeah, I guess we’re getting pretty serious after a month of this…” Blitz muttered.

“Thanks, Rainbow.” Dusk gave a quick peck on Blitz’s cheek, making him blush.

“Just don’t go showing everypony.” After he said that, he felt Dusk’s magic pushing his feathers apart. Blitz pinched his eyes closed as soon as he felt Dusk sifting through his feathers. “I’m going to have to straighten them when he’s done…He doesn’t know the first thing about wing care.

Dusk inspected Blitz’s feather’s closely as he moved along his wing. Blitz didn’t lie. His wings did boast a top-of-the-line selection, which made Dusk’s choice difficult. A small smile came across his face though after he found a feather that was perfect. Long, elegant, and a solid shaft—perfect for a quill. “Brace yourself, Rainbow,” Dusk warned with an upbeat tone.

“Just do it.” Blitz winced as the feather was plucked. He let out a small hiss, but soon felt the pain fade. He glanced down to see Dusk’s magic focusing on the spot, dulling the bit of pain for him. Next, his coltfriend’s magic spread out over his wing and realigned the feathers he had disturbed.

After the magic faded, Blitz looked up at Dusk. He was looking over his new quill with a pleased expression. When he noticed Blitz’s gaze though, he pulled him in for a quick hug. “Thanks, Rainbow.”

“Yeah…” Blitz placed a foreleg around Dusk, hugging him back. “You’re welcome.”

“It really does mean a lot to me,” Dusk said as he stepped back. He turned and started to head upstairs.

Blitz turned back to the kitchen. “Well, I guess since we can’t really go on dates or anything, it’s the least I can do,” he said regretfully.

Dusk stopped on the stairs and turned his head back towards Blitz. Once the pegasus was out of sight, he stared back at the feather in his magic. His expression shifted from content to contemplative. “Yeah…” He placed his hoof to his chin before continuing.

------------------------------

The next day began early with a loud ringing. Dusk slowly opened his eyes and with a spark of his horn, turned off the alarm clock beside him. The pale magenta light of his magic was the only thing illuminating the dark room, giving him just enough light to see the clock’s surface. “Five-thirty,” he muttered to himself.

He rolled onto his other side with a yawn. His foreleg fell softly onto the warm mass under the blanket next to him. Blitz was still fast asleep, but as soon as Dusk touched him, the pegasus cuddled up closer to him. “Maybe I should switch the spell back so he gets woken up by the alarm instead of me…” Dusk cracked a smile. “Then again, he slept through it the last time we tried that.”

Dusk shook Blitz. “Wake up, Rainbow,” he whispered into his coltfriend’s ear.

A small murmur escaped from the sleeping stallion’s mouth, but it was clear he was still asleep. Dusk glanced back at the alarm clock and rolled his eyes. “Well, I tried being nice,” he said to himself. “Rainbow, get up.” He used his magic to tug the blanket off of them and climbed out of bed.

Blitz groaned. “Seriously?”

“It’s morning, Rainbow. You’ve got work, remember?”

He rolled onto his back and covered his eyes with his foreleg. “Stupid job…” He yawned before peeking out from behind his foreleg at Dusk. It was still mostly dark, but he managed to make out the stallion’s face in the dim early morning light. He didn’t look too sympathetic to his plight.

Dusk stared at him with a less than enthused expression. “I’m tired too, but you’re the one who insists on getting up this early,” he retorted with an sarcastic tone.

Blitz groaned again. “Only because I’ve got to get out of here before anypony else is up.” Blitz forcefully rolled onto his side, using the momentum to throw himself out of bed. He landed on his legs with a loud clop, which made his coltfriend wince.

“Barb’s asleep, so try to keep it down…” Dusk said softly as he started downstairs.

Blitz rolled his eyes. “She sleeps like a rock most of the time.” As he walked past the little dragon’s basket, he wasn’t surprised to see she had a blissful grin on her face and was still sound asleep. “Lucky…

Making his way downstairs, he headed for the same place Dusk went, the kitchen. When he entered, he plopped down on a chair at the table and rubbed his eyes. It wasn’t long before he heard the sound of something being set down in front of him. When he looked down, there was probably the most beautiful sight he could ever see that early in the morning, coffee. Blitz quickly snatched the mug and took a sip. As soon as the piping hot liquid hit his tongue, his body felt as though it was springing to life.

“There has to be a better way to do this, Rainbow.”

Blitz shook his head without pulling the mug away from his lips. After a few more sips, he set down the mug with a content sigh. “If you know a better way, I’m all ears.”

Dusk let out a relenting sigh and returned to making breakfast. “Hopefully, it won’t take long…” he muttered to himself.

Blitz’s eyes drifted around the kitchen with Dusk as he prepared breakfast. As he watched, Blitz thought about just how much his morning routine over the past month he and Dusk had been dating had changed. Blitz used to wake up mere minutes before he had to be to work and he never ate breakfast.

Now, though, he woke up earlier than even Solaris did. Each morning, he would head to the kitchen, spend some time talking to Dusk while he made a small breakfast for the two of them. When breakfast was done, he snuck home to give the illusion he was leaving from his house when he went to work. It was inconvenient and tedious, but necessary if Blitz didn’t want to raise suspicion.

“Rainbow?” Dusk asked, pulling Blitz from his musings.

“Your reluctance this morning set us back a bit, so I just made some toast. You’d better eat it quickly or else you’re going to be late.”

Blitz raised an eyebrow as he took a sip of his coffee. His eyes shifted to the time, which only made him curious. “It’s not any later than any other morning…” he said after putting his coffee down.

“That clock is running slow,’ Dusk said without missing a beat.

Blitz continued to keep his eyebrow raised. “You sure?” Dusk stared at him straight on, but when he asked his question, Dusk’s ear twitched slightly. Blitz narrowed his eyes slightly.

“Yes.” Dusk took a sip of his own coffee. “So, hurry and eat so you can get going.”

Something didn’t seem quite right. The sudden wake up call, how quickly he had the coffee ready, and now this. If he didn’t know any better, it felt like Dusk was rushing him out the door. After a moment though, he shrugged it off. “Probably just imagining things.” He scarfed down the rest of his breakfast, guzzled his coffee, and stood up.

Once Blitz was up, he noticed Dusk stopping in the middle of his breakfast. He stood up as well and walked over to Blitz’s side of the table. “I’ll see you after work.” He placed a kiss on Blitz’s cheek.

“Yeah,” Blitz muttered, blushing. “See you this afternoon.” He placed a quick kiss on Dusk’s cheek and before the stallion could react, he rushed out of the kitchen.

Soon after, Dusk heard the front door close and he breathed a small sigh of relief. “He can be hard to get moving in the morning…” He thought, as he returned back to his spot at the table.

Before he could even take a bite of his toast, Barb appeared in the doorway. Seeing her slouched and rubbing her eye made him laugh to himself. He glanced over at the toast and, with his magic, put two pieces of bread inside it for his young assistant’s breakfast.

“You two are too loud in the morning,” she said with a yawn.

“Sorry, Barb. I told him to keep it down,” he said with an apologetic smile.

She shrugged at Dusk’s apology before grabbing a plate. “So, why was Blitz out of here so quick today?”

Dusk took a quick sip of his coffee before speaking. “I actually pushed him out of here early today.”

She raised an eyebrow. “Why’s that?”

“Well, I have a bit of research to do for a surprise I’m planning for him, so I needed him gone while I do it.”

Barb climbed up on the chair with a plate. She grabbed a knife on the table and put some jam on her slices of toast. “Really?”

“Yes.” He nodded with a pleased smile. “I want to take him on a date—”

“Whoa, you know he’s not going to like you doing that behind his back, Dusk.” She gave him a deadpan look as she took a bite of her breakfast.

Dusk quickly furrowed his brow. “Hear me out.” He cleared his throat. “It’s natural to want to go on romantic outings with your significant other and I know Rainbow wants to go on a date just as much as I do. He’s just…scared.” Dusk took a sip of his coffee before continuing. “He doesn’t want anypony to find out he’s dating a stallion, so I’m looking into a way we can have a date without it being obvious we’re on one—”

“He still ain’t going to like it,” she said shaking her head. “It’s not about being obvious. He said he doesn’t want to go on a date yet—”

Dusk glared at her. “—Which is why, if you would let me finish, I’m going to okay it with him before we go.” His expression softened. “I’m not going to force him into it, Barb, but I feel I should present him with the option at least.”

She nodded, but not really believing him. “You’re just going to offer it to him?”

Dusk blinked, absently for a moment. “Well, yes. I want him to be comfortable with the idea before we try it. He needs to know it’s safe so he can realize there’s nothing to worry about. He’ll be fine once we’re on the date—”

“That’s not just asking him, Dusk…”

“What is with you?” he asked taking a bite of his toast. “You’re being very negative.”

“I know you. Once you get focused on something, it becomes about doing it properly rather than doing what’s right…I’m worrying about Blitz here because if you upset him, he might break up with you.”

Dusk sighed. “I’m taking that into consideration, but I have to at least ask him. I want to move at Rainbow’s pace, but I’m afraid that if I let him sit for too long, he will just remain as he is now, content hiding from the public with just you, Elusive, and I knowing his secret.” Dusk stared down into his coffee with contemplative gaze. “I think I have the perfect date for us. One that’s safe, secluded, but still in public.” When he looked up, he saw Barb was still skeptical. “There’s no harm in asking, right?”

She shrugged her shoulders “Just remember, if he says no, it means he doesn’t want to do it, Dusk.”

Dusk rolled his eyes. “Thank you for that bit of wisdom, Barb.”

------------------------------

Stupid Dusk.” Blitz shoved a cloud as hard as he could, sending it crashing into pile of other clouds. “Why the hell did he push me out of the house so early today?” He bolted over to another cloud and shoved it like the last. “I gave him that feather yesterday, he shouldn’t be pissed at me…” he muttered to himself.

After he finished rounding up the stray clouds, he plopped down on the mass for a moment. “Hell, he even kissed me this morning, so he can’t be pissed.” Blitz rolled onto his back and stared up at the open sky. It was already early afternoon, but he wasn’t over it yet. Dusk lied to him, that much was clear, but he didn’t know why.

The fact that Dusk pushed him out the door early had him racking his brains all morning and now he was starting to worry. “If he kicked me out, that means he’s probably hiding something…” He let out a groan. “If he bought another dress, I swear to—”

“There’s Blitz over there. Why don’t you ask him?” he heard a voice call out.

Blitz glanced off to where the voice was coming from. He saw two of his co-workers flying towards him at a casual pace. Two stallions, one with a dark coat and another with light grey. “What’s up?” He rolled onto his chest and sat up on the cloud.

“So, Blitz,” the dark grey one started, “Silverwing here wants some advice with the mares.” He gave a teasing glance to the stallion next to him.

The other stallion rolled his eyes. “Shut up, Thunderlane. I’m just taking it slow.”

Blitz’s heart seized at the mention of mares. “Mares?” he asked in a small voice. When the two looked at him with a strange glance, Blitz cleared his throat. “Okay, so, what did you want advice on?” He sat up a bit straighter and puffed out his chest a bit more than usual.

The light grey stallion sighed. “It’s nothing—”

“It’s not nothing, Silverwing. It’s been two months and you two’ve barely moved past nuzzling.” Thunderlane gave him a playful nudge. “If you want to get her in bed, just ask Blitz what to do. He’s fucked more mares than he can count.”

Blitz felt his heart seize again. It wasn’t a lie, he had slept with plenty of mares, but considering his current relationship, he needed to be careful. He was well aware that one wrong slip of a pronoun could raise some questions and that was the last thing Blitz needed right now. Not to mention his mind was still on his own relationship. “Yeah…” he shook his head to focus himself. “What do you need to know?”

Thunderlane gave Silverwing another nudge which only made him sigh. “Fine!” he said, finally relenting. “Me and this mare have been dating for a few months and she’s not putting out.” The red in his cheeks clearly shone through his light fur.

Thunderlane held back a laugh. “Dude, why’re you getting so embarrassed!”

“Shut up!” Silver shoved him. “I was wondering if there’s anything I can do to move things along…”

Blitz closed his eyes and took a deep breath to calm his racing heart. “Just calm down. You might be gay, but you’ve still fucked plenty of mares over the years, Blitz. You can do this.” When he opened his eyes again, he pushed his worrying about Dusk to the side and focused on the moment at hoof. “She’s not talking about marriage or anything, is she?”

Silverwing shook his head.

“Good, that makes things easier.” Blitz nodded in thought for a moment. “So, what’s she say when you bring it up?”

“I, uh…” Silverwing rubbed the back of his head. “I haven’t…”

Thunderlane burst into laughter. “Are you kidding me?”

Blitz snickered a bit too. “Dude, no wonder you’re having trouble. Have you even made a move?”

“N-no…”

Another burst of laughter came from Thunderlane, but Blitz held up his hoof to make him stop. “Seriously? Look, mares like sex just as much as stallions. She probably wants to fuck too, but you’ve got to show her you’re interested in it. That prim and proper shit will only get you so far. After a few months, girls want to see you show an interest!” Blitz pressed his hoof to his forehead.

Silverwing nodded, though his cheeks were still beet red.

“Don’t go super perv on her right away, but don’t be scared to talk to her about it.”

“I-I guess I should…” Silver rubbed the back of his head. “I was just kind of waiting for her to make the first move.”

“And that’s why you’re not fucking her!” Thunderlane wrapped a foreleg around Silverwing’s neck and put him into a headlock. “Mares are like these clouds, sometimes they just need a little push to get moving, right?” Thunderlane looked at Blitz for confirmation, but only saw him shaking his head.

“I think all anypony needs is a little push sometimes…” Blitz said softly. He laughed a bit once he realized how much that had applied to himself. If it hadn’t been for Dusk’s, admittedly more-than-a-little push, he wouldn’t have accepted his sexuality or be in a relationship. His eyes shifted back to the two stallions in front of him and he cleared his throat when he noticed the confused stares. “Yeah, mares aren’t really that different from stallions when it comes to wanting sex. Don’t treat ‘em like some alien species, they got a sex drive too.”

Both nodded, glancing at one another as they did.

“Makes sense. So, anyway, speaking of fucking…” Thunderlane raised an eyebrow at Blitz and gave him a sly smile. “Who’ve you been fucking lately, Blitz?”

Blitz nearly choked on his own breath. “W-what?” he asked, innocently, though inside his chest, his heart was beating a million miles a minute. How did Thunderlane find out about him and Dusk? How could he when Blitz was so careful? There was no way Thunderlane got up early enough to see him leave Dusk’s house, but maybe he noticed him heading there after work everyday? A million questions raced through Blitz’s mind, but Thunderlane interrupted them with a laugh.

“Oh, come on, Blitz. Who’s the lucky mare?”

Once Blitz heard the word “mare” his heart slowed. That word meant Thunderlane didn’t know about him and Dusk. Blitz breathed a sigh of relief, though a stray thought at the word almost made him chuckle “Who’s the mare?” he mentally asked. “Me.” he rolled his eyes.

“Come on, I mean, she got you to stop putting all that gel in your mane and you’re a hell of a lot more relaxed these days.” Thunderlane flew a little closer to Blitz with a teasing grin spread wide across his face. He still had Silverwing in a headlock and pulled him along with him.

“Would you get off me!” Silverwing pushed Thunderlane away and rubbed his neck. “I’m going to get back to work so I can get out of here.” Silver flew off in a huff, obviously annoyed.

After Thunderlane recovered from the shove, he shrugged. “So?” he turned his attention back to Blitz.

“I’m not seeing anypony. Just got lazy is all. Probably some of it’s from the meds my doctor put me on after that last crash I had, too. I’ve been on some strong painkillers lately.” Blitz’s heart squeezed tightly in his chest for a moment as he anxiously watched Thunderlane’s reaction, though on the outside, he seemed nonchalant. When the stallion shrugged again, Blitz could feel his chest finally relax.

Thunderlane sighed, disappointed. “And here I was hoping you had a good story.” His disappointment quickly vanished as he looked at the mass of clouds Blitz was laying on. “Anyway, you done for today?” he asked, motioning to the pile.

Blitz swallowed the pooling saliva in his mouth and took a quick breath. “Yeah, I just have to bust these clouds up and I’m done.”

“Damn…” Thunderlane looked out towards a still cloudy section over Ponyville. “I’ve been slacking too much today…Well, I’ll see you later, Blitz.” He gave a quick wave a dashed off.

“Yeah, see ya…” Blitz muttered softly before collapsing back on the cloud. “That was close…

------------------------------

Blitz stood outside the library, feeling a familiar anxiety as he stared at the door. After he left work, he remembered why he had been upset earlier. Now that he was here, he would have to talk with Dusk about lying to him, which needless to say, he didn’t feel like doing.

Taking a deep breath, Blitz opened the door. “Dusk, Barb, I’m back…” he called out.

Barb was across the living room pulling books off the bottom shelf. “Hey, Blitz,” she replied with a small wave of her hand without actually looking up from her work.

“Where’s Dusk?” he asked. Unconsciously, some of his irritation slipped into his voice, which drew the little dragon’s attention.

She sighed and pointed upstairs.

Blitz gave her a nod and started to his coltfriend’s bedroom. Just as he made it to the first step, he heard Barb call out to him, “Just don’t get too loud.”

“That depends on his reasons,” Blitz muttered as he continued up the stairs. As soon as he reach the top, he saw Dusk sitting at his desk, scribbling something down with his new quill. Blitz let out a sigh and shook his head. “Typical. Can’t even be bothered to know I’m pissed…

“Dusk.” Blitz took a step into the room. Though Dusk didn’t stop working, he noticed the unicorn’s ears turn towards him. He rolled his eyes and continued across the room. “You’d better stop working and listen to me…” he said with a growing irritation.

Dusk sighed and his quill fell still. “I know you’re probably mad—”

“So you’re not completely dense.”

Dusk turned his head and narrowed his eyes. “Let me explain before you get offensive.”

Blitz finally stopped next to Dusk’s desk. He stared down at his coltfriend for a moment, watching Dusk’s expression change from defensive to apologetic. Nodding Blitz took a seat next to Dusk. He put his elbow on the desk and propped his head up with his hoof. “Alright. You usually have a reason, so let’s hear it.”

“I know you’re upset because I forced you to go to work early—”

“I’m mad because you lied to me.” Blitz gave a deadpan expression.

“There may have been a little white lie in there…” A small, embarrassed smile appeared on Dusk’s face as well as a distinct red in his cheek. “I assure you though, I had a good reason.”

Blitz nodded again, though more from impatience this time. “And that’s what I’m waiting for…”

“I need you to promise that you will hear me out before making a judgement.” Dusk placed his hoof on the pegasus’s foreleg. “I’ve been gone all morning and most of the afternoon looking into this to make sure everything would work.”

Blitz rolled his eyes. “Just spit it out, Dusk.”

Dusk paused and took a deep breath. “I would like to go on a date this evening.”

Without even having a chance to think, Blitz growled and narrowed his eyes, which made Dusk wince. The fact that Dusk would even bring this up pissed him off because Dusk knew better. He knew Blitz wasn’t ready to be seen in public being intimate with another stallion. But just as he was about to explode and lay into him, Blitz stopped himself.

Certainly, Dusk knew he wouldn’t do it, so then why would he even ask? That question dug a Blitz and, for the moment, stopped him from tearing Dusk a new one. If he knew one thing about Dusk, it was that he was very purposeful. even the look in Dusk’s eyes told him that this wasn’t done on a whim. There was planning here.. “Maybe I should at least hear him out…

“Alright, what have you been planning?” Blitz asked after taking a deep breath.

Dusk’s eyes brightened as he levitated the sheet he had been scribbling on before. “With the time and location, it makes perfect sense!” he said, excitedly.

Blitz looked over the paper. “Low attendance for last showing…In public but the feeling of seclusion…Late at night, so no pony should be around?” He lifted his head from his hoof and scratched into his mane. “What’s this for?”

“A movie!” Dusk’s eyes beamed. “I mean, I care for books much more, but movies have become a very popular couple activity in recent years.”

“You want to go to the movies? Tonight?” Blitz raised an eyebrow.

Dusk nodded, with a big grin on his face. “I did some research on the movie theater, pulling attendance records and interviewing some of the staff today. The last showing maybe has one pony in attendance and is usually cancelled due to no pony showing up!”

“I don’t know, Dusk…” Blitz placed his hoof to his chin. “I mean, the ponies working there could come in and—”

“That’s the beauty of it, Rainbow. It would just look like two friends, out catching a late night movie together. No pony would suspect a thing!”

“And if they catch you with your foreleg around me?” Blitz raised an eyebrow. He knew Dusk enough to know he wouldn’t be able to keep his hooves to himself. He could practically feel his foreleg around him already.

“I can contain myself, Rainbow.” Dusk rolled his eyes. “Besides, close proximity doesn’t imply an intimate relationship. I can sit next to you and enjoy being with you without everypony knowing we’re together.”

“So you won’t try and hug me or anything?” Blitz gave a skeptical eyebrow.

“It’ll be dark with a loud movie playing and just the two of us in the theater.” Dusk gave a sly smirk back. “If the usher comes in, I can pull my foreleg down, but I doubt he will.”

Blitz groaned to himself as he looked back at the list. “I still don’t know…” he muttered. He read over a few more points Dusk had. “I guess it is late at night. Most ponies go to sleep early…”

Dusk nodded. “Yes, it works out perfectly in theory.”

“In theory,” Blitz stressed.

“Well, the movie currently playing is older, so there’s a very likely chance no pony will go see it! By the time the movie ends, the streets will be empty so we can walk home together without anypony noticing, Rainbow.” Dusk slid next to Blitz, wrapping his foreleg around him in a half hug. “It will be a chance for us to spend some time together in a public setting while maintaining safety. I’m certain it will be fine.”

Blitz stared at the sheet of paper for a moment longer. Inside, he could feel a pit in his stomach. It didn’t take long for him to recognize this sensation, he was anxious. “I mean…”

“I’m sorry I lied this morning and I know I said I would let you move at your own pace with this, but I wanted to at least present an option for you.” Dusk set the paper down on his desk and turned Blitz to face him. He moved his head in closer until he was nose to nose with his coltfriend “If you don’t want to, we won’t. I won’t force you to go.”

Blitz sat there for a moment, letting the idea sit with him. The thought of a dark theater and being alone with his coltfriend was an appealing mental image. Besides, Dusk was right. if somepony saw them, they could easily play it off as two friends catching a movie. They had a good cover if anything happened.

As he debated, another thought came to mind. “I think all anypony needs is a little push sometimes…” his words from earlier echoed in his mind. Blitz swallowed his fear and gave a small nod.

This time, he would be the one to give himself that push. “What the hell, let’s give it a shot.” He immediately saw Dusk’s face light up and he squeezed Blitz tightly. “If we get caught though, I’m telling everypony we’re just friends, got that?” Blitz said with a strained voice.

Dusk loosened his grip and pulled back. There was a small frown on his face, but he gave a nod. “I would rather that not happen, but if worse comes to worse…”

Blitz sighed and frowned as well. After a moment, he wrapped his forelegs around Dusk and pulled him in for a quick kiss on the forehead. His hooves rubbed the stallion’s back, reassuringly. “I didn’t mean it like that. I’m just…worried.”

Dusk nodded. “I understand that. You’re not comfortable with this, but just try to be a little more optimistic. Things will go great tonight, I promise.” Dusk pulled his face back and gave a smile. “We’ll leave at ten, okay?”

“Yeah…” Blitz muttered, reluctantly.

------------------------------

As nightfall came and the time approached, Blitz was still nervous. In his mind, the nightmare scenario of being exposed was constantly replaying in his head. Dusk getting too carried away, an usher seeing them together, another pony in the theater catching them, each one ended the same. The shame and humiliation dug deep in his chest, even though he knew he shouldn’t feel that way. It was who he was, he shouldn’t have to feel ashamed of it. But, none the less, each time the scenario played out, he wanting to bury his head in his forelegs to hide from the shame.

“Rainbow?” Dusk called as he entered the living room. “Are you ready to go?”

Blitz looked up from his spot where he was laying on the floor. He sighed and got up. “I still don’t know about this, Dusk…” he said as he walked over to his coltfriend.

Dusk smiled and placed his hoof on Blitz’s shoulder. “If you don’t want to do this, we can cancel our plans for tonight.”

Blitz looked down at the floor for a moment. The anxiety was digging deeper into his chest now that they were mere moments from leaving, but something else was bothering him. This wasn’t like him and he knew it. Blitz furrowed his brow as he stared downward. He was the coolest pony in Ponyville and he never backed down from anything. Why was he scared of this?

Cool and confident was who he was. He had the courage to fight a dragon head on, so what was he scared of? That some ponies in town might see him and Dusk together? Dusk had this planned out—he knew what he was doing. All Blitz had to do was be himself. He just had to act cool and no pony would suspect a thing. Besides, he knew Dusk was looking forward to this and even though he was nervous, he was too.

With a deep breath, he lifted his head up. Dusk smiled at him and gently stroked his shoulder. Blitz could feel a confident smile come across his face. “Nah, we got a date tonight.” Dusk gave him a small pat and opened the door. The two then ventured out on their date.

After they left the library, Blitz realized along their walk just how beautiful the night was. A small breeze blew down the nearly empty streets carrying with it the smell of turning leaves and the harvest. It was calm and quiet, perfect for an evening together. The sky was clear and a serene light from the full moon was basking the town in an almost chilly white glow. The cool fall air, while a tad chilly, wasn’t distractingly so and made the night feel isolated. It was just the night Blitz could want.

“So, what movie are we going to see?” Blitz finally asked after a short while.

Dusk gave a small, condescending laugh. “I think you’ll enjoy it quite a lot.”

Blitz sighed. “It’s not some stupid chick movie, is it?”

Dusk rolled his eyes, still keeping a playful smile on his face. “I’m keeping it a secret until we get there. I know you’ll enjoy it though.”

As they came to the theater, Blitz could see the sign advertising the movie playing. In large, bold letters, it said “Derring-do and the Quest for the Sapphire Statue.” Blitz’s jaw nearly dropped. “When did they make a Derring-do movie?”

“It came about three months ago, but it has been in production for a few years. I thought you at least knew about it.” Dusk shrugged his shoulders.

“No! Seriously, I didn’t even have to read the books?”

Dusk shook his head. “I can assure you, the book will be better. Most movie adaptations have to cut—”

“Yeah, yeah…” Blitz rolled his eyes. “I wish I had known. I would have tried out for the role.”

Dusk giggled. “I can see it now, Rainbow.”

“Don’t laugh…” Blitz walked passed Dusk, turning a shoulder to him as he did. “You know I’d have been awesome as Derring-do.”

Dusk shrugged. “Probably. You do have plenty of experience acting, after all.” Dusk raised an eyebrow and smirked.

“S-shut up…” Blitz blushed. “Let’s just get the tickets and go in…”

------------------------------

As the screen turned black and credits began to scroll, Blitz stretched his forelegs into the air. As his forelegs lifted, he could feel Dusk’s hoof slide down his back.

The sound of a crunch came shortly after as the unicorn took a bite of some popcorn. “I liked it.”

Blitz shrugged. “It was pretty cool.”

Dusk laughed to himself. “Pretty cool?” He raised an eyebrow. “You were on the edge of your seat during the hat toss scene.”

Blitz laughed and nodded. After a few moment, he heard another crunch coming from Dusk. The sound seemed to echo in the theater, even over the music playing for the credits. Blitz took a quick glance around, finding not a soul besides them. With a small, content sigh, he leaned over into Dusk’s shoulder. “Hey, pass me some popcorn,” he whispered.

Dusk dropped some kernels into Blitz’s waiting hoof. As he shoved them into his mouth, he noticed someone standing to the side of him. He nearly jumped out of his seat, choking on the popcorn. He pounded his chest, coughing.

A young stallion took a step back as he looked at Blitz with a skeptical eye. Once the pegasus sat back in his seat, he sighed. “I’m sorry, but we’re going to be closing soon…” the teenaged colt said, trying to sound polite.

Blitz looked at Dusk, who had just popped some more popcorn into his mouth. The unicorn nodded and stood up. “It’s late, I understand,” he said after he swallowed. He gave the usher a friendly smile. “Let’s go, Rainbow.”

The usher stepped to the side and the two left. Once they were out of the theater, Blitz breathed a sigh of relief. “That was close…”

Dusk shook his head as he levitated some popcorn from the bucket he took with him. “He just wanted to clear us out, Rainbow.” Dusk popped a few of the kernels into his mouth. “I doubt he suspected a thing. I told you the theater often cancels the last showing, so he probably wanted to get home.”

Blitz shrugged. “I guess…He couldn’t of seen anything anyway, right?”

Dusk nodded his head as he munched.

As the two walked home through the empty streets, Blitz thought back to their time in the theater. The feeling of being somewhere unfamiliar while sitting so close and able to be intimate made his heart swell. The sensation of Dusk’s hoof on his shoulder and Dusk’s warmth against him, it was both thrilling and fulfilling. Ignoring the small interruption at the end, Dusk had been right, this evening went perfectly.

Blitz glanced behind them, finding the theater long since out of sight. The streets were still vacant and the houses around them were all dark. He looked forward finding it much the same. His gaze then turned upwards to see not a cloud or pegasus in the sky. Blitz smiled to himself when he realized it was just him and Dusk out this chilly fall evening.

He leaned over into Dusk’s side, causing the unicorn to look down at him in shock. “What are you doing?” Dusk asked, looking around.

“No pony’s around. It’s just you and me.” Blitz replied, nuzzling into Dusk’s neck. He could feel Dusk’s warmth push into him as the unicorn relaxed. His breathing slowed too, after the shock had worn.

He placed his head against Blitz’s as they walked. “This is nice,” Dusk said fondly.

“Yeah…” Blitz replied with the same soft, warm tone. “I’m glad we did this.”

“Me too, Rainbow.”

A small, devilish smirk appeared on Blitz’s lips as the library came into view. “I hope you’re not too exhausted though.”

Dusk smiled back. “I was thinking the same thing.”

------------------------------

Blitz tumbled down onto the bed and rolled onto his back. The plush surface and warmth of the bedroom felt divine against his chilled skin. But as cold as he might have been, he knew soon things would be heating up. After nestling himself further into the sheets, he looked up at Dusk just in time to see the glow his magic dying down. “Barrier?”

“Yeah,” he replied as he climbed onto the bed. “Can’t have her waking up to us, can we?”

“Yeah.” Blitz wrapped his forelegs around Dusk, pulling him down into a kiss. Their lips parted and soon their tongues probed one another’s mouth. Blitz could feel Dusk’s hooves slipping between him and the bed and squeezing him even tighter in their embrace.

When they finally broke from their passion, Blitz grabbed Dusk and rolled over so the unicorn was on the bottom. Blitz smirked as he stared down at his coltfriend, a victorious smile plastered across his face. “So, tonight was pretty awesome…and I wanted to thank you for coming up with the idea.” He placed his hoof on Dusk’s chest and stared trailing down his body.

The momentary shock of Dusk’s face faded and was replaced with amusement. “Funny, I wanted to give you a reward for being so brave tonight…” Dusk moved his hoof to Blitz’s cheek.

“No way, Dusk.” Blitz pushed back from him. “I already called dibs,” he said with a confident tone.

Dusk gave a half shrug. “I guess I can let my beautiful little mare have her way tonight,” he teased.

“Shut up.” Blitz rolled his eyes as he swung his hind legs over Dusk’s head. His muzzle was put face to face with Dusk’s crotch. The tip of coltfriend’s dick was just barely poking free from his sheath, begging Blitz to give it some attention.

The pegasus licked his lips and happily obliged. He kissed the flat head of his lover’s cock, circling the surface with loving strokes of his tongue. The soft flesh grew most stiff as he lapped at the surface. Slowly it pushed further out until it was poking its way into his lips. Blitz relented and let Dusk’s cock slide right inside his waiting mouth.

A small grunt and a buck of Dusk’s hips was all Blitz needed to know he was on the right track. He bobbed further down, Dusk’s swelling length, taking in more and more of his cock. It wasn’t long ago he struggled to take when a quarter of Dusk’s dick in his mouth, but now, he could take more than half of it without breaking a sweat. When he felt the head poking the back of his throat, Blitz pulled back.

Once free, he gasped for air. He laid his head down on Dusk’s stomach, his nose at the base of his coltfriend’s towering length. The wonderfully thick scent sent a shiver of delight down his spine. Blitz couldn’t resist, he stuck out his tongue and licked the black length, lovingly.

“Are you getting excited?” Dusk asked as he moved his hooves onto Blitz’s haunches. He could hear a small moan in agreement as he continued to fondle his coltfriend’s firm ass. It didn’t take long for him to feel something stiff poking him in the chest. Dusk couldn’t help but chuckle to himself when he realized what it was.

“I think we can both have our way, Rainbow.” Dusk said as he rolled Blitz over onto his side. He then used his magic to hoist the stallion’s backend towards the head of the bed. Poking out from between Blitz’s hind legs, a stiff, flesh-colored dick was practically begging for his touch. Using his magic again, Dusk angled Blitz’s cock towards his mouth. He wrapped his forelegs around Blitz’s body and took most of his length in one go.

Blitz gasped before shoving Dusk’s length back inside his mouth. He soon realized why Dusk had grabbed him as Dusk soon began thrusting his hips. Blitz didn’t mind the bit of rough treatment though, he was more than used to it and being used was thrilling in itself. He relaxed his throat and soon felt Dusk forcing his way down it. The feeling of being stretched from the inside as his coltfriend humped him mercilessly made Blitz’s whole body tingle.

All the while, he could feel Dusk tenderly sucking on his dick. The warm, wet confines of Dusk’s muzzle as he slowly bobbed along his length, taking him to the hilt each time was utterly divine. Dusk’s tongue eagerly stroked and stimulated his sensitive flesh, almost torturous in its ministrations. It took every ounce of willpower Blitz had not to buck his hips into Dusk’s face like Dusk was doing to him. He knew Dusk too well by this point to even try that.

Instead, he restrained himself and focused his own efforts on pleasing his lover. Dusk’s dick vigorously thrust inside him, forcing itself down to the hilt each time. He could feel every twitch and throb in his throat and Blitz loved every moment of it. Every time his lips met Dusk’s pelvis, Dusk would pause to let him lap at his cock with his tongue as he pulled out.

Soon, Dusk’s humping became more erratic and his thrusts more shallow. Blitz already knew what this meant, he could feel his lover’s cockhead flare inside him. It wouldn’t be long before Dusk let loose his load right into Blitz’s stomach. He let out a soft moan and wrapped his forelegs around Dusk. He squeezed him tightly and forced Dusk to hold himself deep inside Blitz’s throat.

Blitz was close himself. He could feel his release almost within his grasp. His hips instinctually bucked slightly as he inched closer and closer to climax.

Dusk moaned before he took Blitz’s dick out of his mouth for a moment. “Don’t swallow,” he commanded before finishing Blitz off. His tongue and quick bobs took Blitz straight to heaven as he exploded in Dusk’s mouth.

He was vaguely aware of Dusk desperately pulling back. His stallion kept his flared head held in his muzzle and with a few more quick bucks, he finally exploded inside Blitz’s mouth. Dusk’s thick, gooey cum filled his mouth. But just before he swallowed his lover’s seed, he remembered what Dusk told him.

Dusk pulled his dick free from Blitz’s mouth and quickly pulled him in for a hug. Blitz, still riding his high, was vaguely aware of Dusk pressing his lips to his mouth. By the time he realized what was happening, it was too late. He cringed as he felt even more cum pushed inside his mouth, mixing with the load he already had.

Blitz moaned in protest, but Dusk didn’t stop. He used his tongue to mix their seed together. He pushed and pulled it between their mouth and let his tongue dance with Blitz’s in a sea of their cum. Finally, after their semen had been mixed thoroughly, Dusk took half of their shared cum in his mouth and left Blitz with the rest.

Blitz swallowed what was left in his mouth with a visible disgust on his face. “I hate it when you do that!”

“I really don’t see how you—”

“Because it’s mine! It’s gross!” Blitz glared at him for a moment, but quickly let it go. He sighed and laid back on the bed. “I don’t care about swallowing yours, but mine’s just weird…”

“It’s just something kinky to do.” Dusk climbed on top of Blitz. He stared down into his pegasus’s eyes, though Blitz was clearly averting his gaze. “Don’t be like that, Rainbow,” Dusk said with a small, fake pout on his face.

Blitz rolled his eyes and laughed. “You’re such a jerk sometimes.” He wrapped his forelegs around Dusk and pulled him in for a kiss. The aftertaste of cum was still hanging on both their tongues. When they broke, Blitz cocked an eyebrow. “You’re still hard…”

“It’s because you’re so cute when you throw a little tantrum. I couldn’t help myself.” Dusk made a small hump against Blitz’s softening member.

The stiff, heavy warmth of Dusk’s cock against his own sent a surge of life through his own dick. Blitz blushed as he felt himself growing more stiff as Dusk pressed against him. Another small hump only added to the pressure on his dick. Blitz squirmed against his lover’s weight but it wasn’t any use. Dusk had him pinned.

He looked up into Dusk’s eyes with a meek look on his face. “You’re making me hard again…”

Dusk bent down to his ear and whispered, “Good.”

He nuzzled down into the crook of Blitz’s neck and lifted his weight off him. With a small thrust he let his still saliva soaked length rub against his lover’s cock.

Blitz let out a small moan. “Still a little sensitive down there…” he muttered.

“I know, that’s why it feels so good.” Dusk pressed the entirety of his length against Dusk, his balls resting against Blitz’s. He pulled his head from his lover’s neck and stared down at their cocks with an almost triumphant smirk. Blitz was rock hard again, and his dick was pressed firmly against Dusk’s.

A soft, magenta glow appeared around their dicks, holding them together tightly. Once bound, Dusk started humping. The slick texture of his lover’s length against his own sent a tingle down his spine. Though smaller in length, Blitz certainly wasn’t lacking in thickness. Pressed together, he was nearly as wide as Dusk.

Blitz let his head fall limp against the bed as Dusk moved. Something so stiff and warm pressed against his sensitive cock felt amazing. With Dusk on one side and his own body heat and fur on the other, it almost felt like Dusk was smothering his dick. But the thrusts were what truly felt good. The slick sensation of their precum and saliva from earlier were utterly divine. “This is the first time we’ve done something like this…”

“What do you think?” asked between breathes.

Blitz moaned as a spike of pleasure shot through him. “Feels nice, but I’d rather do something else.” He smirked.

“Something else, huh?” he asked, feigning contemplation for a minute. ”Did you want me inside you, Rainbow?”

“Yeah…I want you to fuck me.”

Dusk stopped and his magic disappeared. “Then roll over.”

Dusk pulled his weight off him and let Blitz roll over onto his stomach. His back legs stood up while he kept his chest pressed into the bed. Once up, he then lifted his tail and glanced back at Dusk with a hungry glance. “Ready when you are,” he said in a lusty tone.

A sudden cool sensation touched his backdoor, making Blitz arch his back. He could feel Dusk’s magic coating his entrance in lube. A low moan slipped past his lips as he felt the slick goo pushed inside him and coat his inner walls. The delightful cooling sensation mixed with the tingle of Dusk’s magic made Blitz’s dick throb.

It wasn’t long before he heard Dusk breathing over his shoulder. “Put it in,” he begged. Dusk quickly obliged. Blitz was soon greeted with the thick head of his coltfriend’s cock pushing at his ass. He let out a small moan from Dusk teasing him with a few shallow thrusts. But each push of his cock, he could feel more and more slip inside him.

He felt Dusk’s muzzle brush against his ear. “Here it comes,” he warned.

Blitz took a deep breath and let his body relax. As he exhaled, Dusk started his way inside him. His coltfriend’s thick dick slid in easily, making Blitz gasp. He could feel a sense of fullness fill his stomach. It was a sensation he came to love. The feeling of being stretched and filled by his lover was simply incomparable to anything he had done with a mare before.

Dusk continued to steadily feel Blitz more of his cock. He let out a small moan when he felt his coltfriend’s medial ring pressing against his entrance. Blitz took another, smaller breath to relax further. With a small push by Dusk, he could feel his ass stretch further. He let out another small, girlish moan and Dusk placed a kiss on his neck.

“You’re doing so good, Rainbow,” Dusk whispered.

Blitz nodded.

Finally, he felt Dusk’s hips meet his ass. He was already panting just from the entry. But, as much as Blitz waited for Dusk to start pounding his ass, he didn’t. Dusk only continued to nuzzle his neck. “What are you waiting for?” he asked.

“Nothing.” Dusk wrapped one of his forelegs around Blitz’s chest and pushed him down until he was sprawled out on the bed. “I just wanted to say how proud of you I am.” Dusk pulled his dick out of Blitz just passed his medial ring and thrust it back inside.

Blitz moaned into the sheets as he felt a hard thrust from his lover. Dusk’s hard cock pressed against his prostate, sending a delightful tingle that he had come to adore shooting through his body. When Dusk hilted inside him once more, he didn’t pause this time. He immediately withdrew and thrust in again.

“Proud of me?” Blitz asked between moans.

“Yeah. You did so well tonight.” Dusk pressed his muzzle into Blitz’s mane, breathing in deep his lover’s scent. Blitz’s natural scent and the smell of his sweat made Dusk’s dick throb with yearning. “I love you, Rainbow.”

Blitz buried his face into the mattress. Dusk’s assault on his ass sent wave after wave of pleasure shooting through his body. Everything done to him felt so good. The feeling of his ass stretched around Dusk’s cock, the sensation of his coltfriend’s warmth inside him, the pressure on his stomach and prostate—he loved being fucked and he loved the way Dusk fucked him.

He could feel Dusk’s muzzle leave his mane, and soon he felt the tickle of his breath against his ear. “You’re so beautiful, Rainbow.”

“You always say that when you’re fucking me…” he muttered between pants. His breathing quickened with the pace of Dusk’s sharp thrusts. Every time Dusk hilted inside he, he felt the air forced from his lungs, like it was being fucked out of him. At this rate, Blitz new Dusk was going to cum soon.

He tightened his muscles, and squeezed Dusk tightly inside him. He could hear his stallion moan in his ear. “You want it badly, don’t you?”

Blitz nodded. The force and frequency of Dusk’s thrusts were pushing him closer and closer to the edge. Dusk slid his foreleg from under him and began thrusting harder and faster. His whole body felt delightfully numb. Finally, the burning hot sensation of his lover’s cock grinding against his prostate pushed him over the edge. Blitz cried out and another orgasm took him.

Though Blitz was cumming, Dusk didn’t stop, he thrust harder and harder, basking in the sensation of his mare’s ass as it milked him. It was too much for Dusk to bear. Blitz’s ass was squeezing him so tightly and the twitch of his prostate as he orgasmed pushed him over the edge. Dusk hilted inside Blitz and let loose his orgasm deep inside his lover.

Blitz felt another jolt of pleasure shoot through him when a sudden torrent of sticky warmth began to fill his ass. He let out an almost whine as he nuzzled into the mattress. When Dusk collapsed on top of him, basking in the afterglow of his orgasm, Blitz became painfully aware of a gooey mess under his belly.

“I think we need a bit of cleanup…” he said with a small laugh.

“Probably,” Dusk replied, rubbing his cheek against Blitz’s back.

“You want to take care of this so we can go to bed? I’m exhausted…”

Dusk laughed to himself. “Yeah.”

Blitz noticed a soft, magenta glow fill the room for a moment and then, the slimy mess under him was gone. The weight of his coltfriend soon vanished too as Dusk rolled over off of him. With another spark of Dusk’s horn, he sound found their blanket on top of them and his pillow in front of his face. “That works,” he said with a small, satisfied yawn. He rolled onto his back and cozied up to Dusk.

“You were amazing tonight, Rainbow.” Dusk wrapped his forelegs around Blitz and placed a small kiss on his forehead. “I wasn’t too rough with you, was I?”

“Nah.” Blitz closed his eyes.

“Good.” Dusk sighed, contently.

“Tonight was pretty awesome though. The date, the movie, the sex…all of it.”

“I’m really proud that you decided to go tonight. I was worried you would be satisfied with where you are now and never tell anypony. But going out tonight I think was a big step. It let you see that being in public wasn’t so bad, right?”

“Yeah…” Blitz muttered. It was true. While he might not have been too open outside, it was still a date. He had gone out of an actual date with his coltfriend and everyone could see them. Nothing bad happened to them, they weren’t found out, and no one said anything to Blitz about it. Everything was normal.

It hadn’t felt wrong either. Being with Dusk in public was about as right as being with Dusk had felt in the first place. Maybe, he was ready to be open. Maybe he could let those closest to him know about his secret.

Blitz sighed. “Dusk?”

“Yes?”

“I think I want to tell our friends…”

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah…"

To Be His Mare: Acceptance

Chapter 2: Waters

“What the hell was I thinking?” Blitz muttered to himself as he placed his foreleg over his eyes. The previous night’s remarks he made to Dusk right before they went to sleep had been replaying in his mind since he woke up. Over and over, he kept hearing himself say he wanted to tell their friends. Each time he got to that part, he mentally kicked himself. “Seriously, what the hell…”

Blitz slammed his hoof down next to him. “Why did I even say that?” he groaned as his foreleg slid up slightly. He was immediately met with a glare of the sun and the vast blue of the wide open sky above him. The sharp sting was enough to make him pinch his eyes closed immediately. With an annoyed sigh, he quickly rolled onto his stomach before opening his eyes again.

He looked out in front of him. The ground was far below and the houses almost like toy models from the altitude. He dragged his cloud up this high hoping the distance from everything would help his fears lay to rest. To the contrary though, the solitude only brought out his worries more now that he could think about them. His head fell limp against the cloud. “I mean…I want to tell them, but…”

A small frown came across his face. He had to tell Dusk he was going back on what he said yesterday—that he had been in a good mood and it was just the excitement talking. “But?” Dusk’s voice came to mind, filling in for his own as he played the inevitable conversation out.

“But, I don’t think I’m ready.” He growled at his own indecisiveness.

There was even a mental pause, and a dejected image of Dusk came to mind. A small frown and fallen eyes. “Why?

“Because, what if—” Blitz paused. Without really thinking, he pushed his head down into the cloud until the puffy white was level with the top of his muzzle. He felt a sinking sensation in his chest. “What if they aren’t okay with me…” he said, no louder than a whisper.

The image of Dusk faded, and he was left alone with his own thoughts. “Elusive was cool with it, and Barb acted like it’s no big deal.” Even the sound of Dusk’s voice for his thoughts was gone. “Dusk’s cool with it, obviously,” he muttered. He dug his forelegs into the cloud and pull the mass up to make a pillow. His head elevated from the hole he dig earlier as more cloud was pushed under his head.

“Maybe I’m overthinking all this.” He sighed. “I mean, I know the guys, right? They aren’t homophobes or anything…” Blitz trailed off again, realizing he couldn’t speak for all of his friends. It had been a small remark from Applejack that pushed him to Dusk that night.

Blitz pinched his eyes closed. “It’s just some hazing, Blitz, you know AJ isn’t a homophobe!” As much as he wanted to believe in that—believe in his friend—he still felt the creeping voice of doubt in the back of his mind.

He laid in silence for a few moments before finally sighing once more. “It’s only been a little over a month since I’ve been cool with it. He can’t expect too much from me, right? I’ll just have to tell Dusk I’m not ready. He should be fine with that, right? I should just be able to tell him that…”

“Rainbow?” Blitz nearly jumped out of his skin when he heard Dusk’s voice next to him. He glanced over at the source, but found a purple cloud hovering next to him that he instantly recognized as his coltfriend’s magic.

“Uh…Dusk?” he asked, poking it with his hoof. His hoof passed right through the cloud, leaving it undisturbed. “You didn’t turn yourself into pure magic or something, did you?” he asked, skeptically.

“What? No…” Blitz could hear Dusk groan through the magical mass. “Look down,” Dusk commanded.

Blitz inched closer to the edge of the cloud until he was looking straight down. He caught sight of Dusk standing below his cloud with a slightly impatient look on his face. “Can you come down here?”

“What are you doing down there?” he asked, turning to the magical mass next to him.

“Can you just come down here?”

Blitz sighed and he jumped up. In a burst of speed he pushed the cloud he had been laying down down to just a few feet above Dusk’s head. Once he came to a stop, he flopped down into the plush surface and drooped his head down. “Alright, I’m here. What’s up”

Dusk’s annoyance disappeared once Blitz was in front of him. A pleased smile soon found its way onto his face and he disappeared in a flash of light. Blitz felt the cloud shift next to him as Dusk gingerly lay down.

“Cloud walking spell?”

Dusk nodded.

“So what’s—” Blitz cut himself short when he felt the warmth of his coltfriend’s body against his side. He felt Dusk’s head come to rest against his neck. His eyes darted around. “W-What are you doing?” He pushed Dusk off him.

“What?” Dusk asked, innocently.

Blitz shot him a glare. “What if somepony saw that?”

“No pony’s around, I looked.” Dusk shook his head and leaned back into Blitz. “Besides, we’re away from town.”

Blitz sulked, but begrudgingly accepted Dusk’s affection. “Yeah, speaking of that, how did you find me, anyway?”

“I placed a tracking spell on you a few weeks back. I can tell where you are at any moment.” Dusk stifled a chuckle.

Blitz stared down at him, his eyes nearly popping out of his head. “W-what?”

Dusk’s face turned a slight red. “I was joking…”

Blitz sighed in relief. “Don’t play around like that.”

“Do you really think I would do that?” Dusk pulled his head back away from Blitz.

“With you, I don’t know. You’re pretty protective.”

Dusk frowned for a moment before shaking it off. “Anyway, I saw Butterscotch and he told me you were out in this direction. When I came out here, I saw your tail hanging down from this cloud, so that’s how I found you.”

He leaned back into Blitz’s side, resting his head against him once more. He felt Blitz’s wing slip between their sides and spread over his back. A smile spread across Dusk’s face and he let out a content sigh.

Blitz stared into the distance as Dusk spoke. “So, Butterscotch told you?” He paused for a short while before realizing he was in the middle of a conversation. Blitz shook his head to snap himself back to reality. “He wanted me to help him next week—something about getting ready for winter. Did he ask you for help too?”

Dusk shook his head. “No, he said I did enough during Winter Wrap-up last year and I shouldn’t force myself.” Dusk groaned softly.

“Yeah, I heard the snakes gave you a scare last year.” Blitz Snickered. After he got his laugh and made Dusk puff his cheeks out in embarrassment, he found himself looking out into the distance once more.

So, how can I break it to him?” Blitz finally mentally voiced the feeling that had been tugging at him. Part of him just wanted to come out and say it. He knew it would be the easiest way, and if Blitz was anything, he was direct. But at the same time, Dusk was in high spirits. Just the thought of crushing his coltfriend’s mood was already tugging at his heart. Blitz looked down at Dusk, seeing he had his eyes closed and a smile on his face.

“You left my house in such a hurry this morning, I thought you might have had a change of heart over yesterday.”

Blitz felt his heart skip a beat. “Damn it, he knows me too well.

He felt his jaw clench as he groaned aloud. “I did…” he reluctantly said after a few moments of silence. “Look, Dusk, I’m not sure of I’m ready to tell our friends. I mean, we had one date. We were out as a couple once without anypony noticing. What if that was a fluke?”

Dusk nodded and opened his eyes. He glanced around, taking in the scenery. “I don’t think it was a fluke, myself. Rainbow, it’s your decision. I’m a little disappointed if you don’t want to, but I’ll stand by you if that’s how you feel. This is a big step for you, so I want you to be ready to make that step.”

“You don’t have to treat me like that…” Blitz rolled his eyes as he turned away from Dusk. “Just come out and say it, alright? I told you to stop talking down to me.”

Dusk sat there for a moment. “I’m not talking down to you, I just know that I’ve been forceful in the past. I’m reaffirming that I’m not going to do that anymore. This is—”

“Like—I don’t even know if our friends will accept me.” Blitz lowered his head down onto the cloud.

“I guess we’re done with that topic,“ Dusk muttered under his breath. “Rainbow, there seems to be a lot going on in your mind right now, so let’s take it one by one. What’s bothering you the most, that you’re unsure our friends will accept you, or that I’m disappointed in you backtracking on your decision?”

“Both…” Blitz replied.

“Let me just say this then. I am disappointed, but not in you. I may not be pleased with it, but I’ll stand by your decision, regardless. Okay?”

Blitz nodded. “Fine.”

“Now, about our friends.” Dusk heard Blitz make some sound of acknowledgement. “Do you honestly think that after all we have been through, with how good of friends we are, that they would hate you over something like this?”

“Maybe…”

“Let’s run through the list, shall we?” Dusk finally looked back at Blitz to see him sulking.

The pegasus sighed and sat up. “Well, I guess we know Elusive and Barb are cool with it.”

Dusk nodded.

“You too, obviously.” Blitz glanced down at the cloud. “I just don’t know about everypony else.”

“Would you say Butterscotch would be upset?”

Blitz thought about it for a moment. He couldn’t honestly picture Butterscotch being upset about anything short of animal abuse. Thinking back, Butterscotch was never one to question or judge another’s lifestyle. Even when they were in Cloudsdale together, he never made fun of ponies in flight school for possibly being gay. “I guess he’d be fine with it.”

“Berry?” Dusk asked.

“I guess Berry would too.”

“He’s thrown a coming out party for a mare, if you recall.”

Blitz continued to stare down at the cloud. “That kind of slipped my mind.”

“I think you probably weren’t paying much attention at the time. Though, I do recall a comment from you about it being ‘hot’.” Dusk snickered.

“Then it’s AJ I’m worried about!” Blitz crossed his forelegs and thrust his head down ontop of them. “I mean, he’s a country pony who’s big into tradition, right? He’s probably got something against coltcuddlers.”

Dusk frowned. “I can’t say the topic has ever come up between us.”

“He could, right?”

“It’s always a possibility, though that’s a bit of a stereotype. Applejack might be stubborn and a bit too honest at times, but he’s still an understanding—tolerant—pony, Rainbow. He’ll welcome anypony with open forelegs.”

“I don’t know…Even with Berry, he might have thrown that party just to be nice. That doesn’t mean he approves.” Blitz sighed. “Dusk, why do I feel like this?”

“Because you’re letting ponies in.” Dusk placed his foreleg around Blitz’s neck and pulled him in for a small hug. “It’s scary showing parts of yourself to others.”

“I’m not scared.” Blitz glared off into the distance. He heard Dusk let out a small, almost condescending laugh. “It’s only been a month since I’ve accepted it,” Blitz muttered. “I don’t know if I can do this yet.”

Dusk squeezed him closer and placed his head against Blitz’s head. He felt his coltfriend’s mess of a mane press into his cheek as he held him close. Blitz didn’t tense or struggle against his affection either. He sighed happily. “I think you’re underestimating yourself,” he said softly.

“Yeah, right.” Blitz scoffed. “Me, underestimate myself? Good one, Dusk.”

“It’s not like flying, Rainbow. This is something you’re not totally comfortable with.” Dusk frowned a bit and scrunched his brow. “I think I mean to say, it’s out of your element.”

Blitz sat silent for a moment. “So, I should wait until I’m more comfortable with being gay?”

“I would say you’re plenty comfortable, but that’s just me.” Dusk couldn’t help but laugh to himself. “You don’t even realize we’re cuddling in public, do you.”

Blitz blinked absently for a second as everything clicked. Suddenly he jumped a few inches away from Dusk and pulled his wing back to his side. “We are not!”

Dusk laughed once more before firing up his horn. In a bright flash, he was gone.

“Rainbow,” Dusk called from below. Blitz looked over the edge of the cloud to see Dusk standing just a few feet below him on the ground. “I’m not the one who has to live with the consequences of this decision.”

Dusk had a small, almost hollow smile on his face. His eyes held hints of dissatisfaction, but it was pushed to the back for a more cheerful tone. “It might sound a little more callous than I mean, but I’m comfortable with who I am. I believe, deep down, you are too. Just put forth some of your usual confidence. This is just some lingering doubt. I know you can get through it.”

Blitz buried his muzzle in the cloud. “That means I’m not comfortable with it, doesn’t it?”

Dusk frowned for a moment. “You can still be comfortable and have doubts. You’re scared, I get that. But it’s not you, it’s your outlook—you think it’s something to be ashamed of so you assume others will feel that way too.”

Blitz lay silently.

“I can’t—and won’t—force you to tell our friends, Rainbow.” Dusk paused for a moment, mentally pushing back his own feelings. “I can only show you how good it can feel to be honest.”

Blitz furrowed his brow. “I know…”

“Remember that it isn’t something to be ashamed of and you’ll do fine. Just don’t worry so much. The longer you stress about this, the more of an obstacle it will become.” Dusk saw Blitz’s ears flatten as he spoke. Reluctantly, he sighed. “Look, I can wait until you’re ready to tell our friends,” he said, gently. Blitz’s ears perked up a bit at that.

“But, if you want my honest advice, you should get it over with as quickly as possible. You’ll feel better with the weight off your chest and you’ll find you life to be a lot easier having those you can confide in. That’s not me saying that as your coltfriend, but as your friend.”

Blitz let his head lay on the cloud. He sighed heavily. “Fine! I get it, alright?” He rolled onto his back. “I’ll tell them.”

“They’re our friends. They’ll accept you, Rainbow. Even if they don’t at first, they’ll come around.” A genuine smile came across Dusk’s face. “I hope you don’t feel like I guilt tripped you.”

“No, you didn’t.” Blitz groaned. “I just hate that you’re right…

------------------------------

“I know I said I would tell them, but it’s still easier said than done,” Blitz muttered to himself as he stared down into the orchard. “Stupid Dusk talking me into this again…Why do I listen to him?” Below, he saw Applejack working by gathering some of the crop into buckets. It was pretty clear he was busy.

Blitz felt his chest tighten once more. He groaned with a scowl on his face. With Applejack being busy, he was feeling it might not be the best time to talk to him. Bothering him might put him in a bad mood, which was a surefire way for the conversation to end badly.

But then again, Blitz knew Applejack was the kind of pony who could work and talk at the same time. Bucking apple trees wasn’t exactly the most involved work, mentally. It might be the perfect time to lay it on Applejack while he’s distracted.

He groaned again at his own indecisiveness. “Come on, Blitz,” he muttered to himself. “It’s like Dusk said, just get it over with. Tell AJ and then the hard one will be over, right?”

Wrong…” His thoughts immediately betrayed him. Brief mental flashes of a shouting match and a lost friendship sent a pain right through his chest.

“You don’t even know if it will turn out like that,” he scolded himself. “He’s your friend, Blitz. You know AJ’s a cool dude when it comes stuff. He won’t hate you.”

Besides, he’s my friend. He deserves to know, right?” Blitz nodded to himself. His mind was made up, he was going through with it. Yet, after a few moments, he still found himself sitting there, unmoving.

Blitz took a deep breath. “Alright, listen. Just ease into it. Don’t barge in and say you’re gay, just—” He glanced around for a moment. “How should I ease into it?” He placed his hoof to his chin. “Since it’s getting cold, just talk about keeping warm…and…” Suddenly it clicked. A smirk appeared on Blitz’s face and he nodded once more, this time, with purpose. “Alright, let’s do this.”

Blitz bolted off his perch towards Applejack’s farm. “Sup, AJ!” Blitz said as he touched down behind the farm pony.

Applejack glanced back and gave a small nod. “Howdy,” he replied.

“You busy?” Blitz feigned innocence.

“Yup,” Applejack tipped his hat back and wiped his forehead.

Blitz bit his lower lip and sat down on the ground. “And judging by how he’s acting, this won’t go well.

But, that ain’t new ‘round this time of the year.” He turned and gave Blitz a tired smile. “What’s up with you, RB. Haven’t seen ya around too much lately.”

Once Blitz saw Applejack’s smile, his worry melted away. “Not a whole lot. Been working and just hanging around.” He smiled back.

“With Dusk?” He asked, giving a knowing smirk as he did.

Blitz felt his heart skip a beat. But, once he saw Applejack go back to work, he realized he didn’t know the full story. He sighed silently in relief. “Yeah, well, he’s been showing me some new books.”

“Well, what brings ya from your books to my farm?” he asked as he heft a bucket of apples onto his back.

“Well, uh…” Blitz rubbed the back of his head. He wanted to kick himself for a major miscalculation. He had his segue into what he wanted to talk about, but now he had to figure out how he was going to segue into his segue. On top of that, he now had to do this on the fly. “Should’ve just come up with a better lead into this,” he muttered under his breath.

Applejack dumped the bucket of apples into a nearby barrel. He glanced back at Blitz to see him still lost in thought. “Ya okay, Blitz?”

Blitz snapped out of his thoughts once he heard Applejack’s voice. “Yeah!” He cleared his throat. “Just…uh…” He looked over at the barrel Applejack had poured the apples he was gathering into. Next to the barrel was a few others, some waiting to be filled, some stuffed full. “I was just a little curious why you stock so much for the winter?”

Applejack raised his eyebrow at Blitz. “Ya do know we sell apple goods year-round, right? Where do ya think all the apples come from in the winter?”

“Right…” Blitz laughed nervously. “It gets cold, can’t really grow apples in the winter.”

“Nope, don’t suppose ya can.” Applejack raised an eyebrow.

“It’s already starting to get cold, too.” Blitz rubbed his foreleg with his hoof.

“Yup,” Applejack muttered, keeping his eyebrow raised. “Ya never did like the cold, did ya, Blitz?”

“Nah, I’ve always liked the summer better. Gotta bundle up and stay warm.” Blitz swallowed her nervousness. His heart felt like it was about to leap right out of his chest as he prepared for the next part of the conversation. “Sometimes it’s better to stay warm with somepony though, right?” Blitz let out a small, almost nervous laugh.

Applejack chuckled. “I suppose.” Applejack tipped back his hat as he walked up to a tree. He gave it a hard kick with one leg, sending a shockwave through the trunk causing the apples above to shake free from the branches. “I ain’t ever had a problem with the cold, myself. A fire’s nice.” He paused and gave a smirk. “But, can’t say I’d be opposed to spendin’ a cold night next to a sweet mare.”

Blitz took a deep breath. “Well, yeah, I mean, mares are great.” Blitz laughed again. “But…I mean, there’s other ponies to spend a night next to.” He scratched the back of his head with his hoof. “Like…you can cuddle with somepony else, right.”

Applejack stared blankly into the distance for a moment. “I guess? I didn’t think ya were the cuddlin’ type, Blitz.”

“Yeah! Of course I like to, you know. It’s, uh…nice…” Blitz felt like his face was on fire. No matter what he said, it just felt like he was making a bigger fool of himself. “Like…you know, I even saw some stallions cuddling before. Like, they can cuddle with each other sometimes too, right.” Blitz looked down at the ground, tracing in the dirt with his hoof. “Two stallions…cuddling…you know…”

Applejack stared at Blitz blankly once more. A few, painfully awkward seconds went by before he finally broke the silence by clearing his throat. “Uh…” Applejack scooped up a stray apple and tossed it into a bucket at the base of the tree. “I guess some do?”

“They like each other too, right…” Blitz trailed off, almost to the point his voice was barely above a whisper. “Some stallions just prefer other stallions. Love can be like—”

Applejack cleared his throat. “I’m not really into that, Blitz. Cuddlin’s not really my thing.” Applejack pulled his hat down over his eyes and walked over to another tree. “Like if two ponies want to cuddle, sure, but I ain’t that into it.”

“What?” Blitz looked up to see Applejack getting ready to buck another tree. This time he was lifting both legs into the air. A distinct memory of Red Gala holding Applejack, comforting him after he drank too much during the summer festival popped into Blitz’s head. He was trying to tell Applejack something, when did this become about cuddling? Blitz honestly couldn’t tell if Applejack had missed the point or if he was the one missing something. “Hold on. I’ve seen you cuddle with your sister!” he called out.

Applejack’s eyes went wide and he nearly lost his balance. His eyes quickly narrowed in a harsh glare. “Are ya implyin’ what I think you’re implyin’?”

Blitz glared back. “What, that you and Red Gala cuddle sometimes? Yeah.” Blitz puffed out his chest. “Don’t act like you’re above it, AJ. I know you’ve done it with Apple Buck too. So don’t say you don’t.”

Applejack’s jaw fell slack. “You’re are fixin’ for an asswhoopin’ there, Blitz.” Applejack stood up from his bucking position and walked over to the pegasus. “You better not be implyin’ I fuck my sister or my little brother.”

Blitz’s glare vanished as he blinked absently. “Wait, what?” Slowly, the pieces began to come together as to what Applejack was upset about. Somehow, Applejack had managed to pick up that cuddling was code, but he missed the part Blitz needed him to get. It took every ounce of willpower to not smack his hoof against his face. “No!” He shook his head. “I was talking about.” He sighed in resignation. “I just meant cuddling…”

Applejack’s look softened. “Good. I thought ya meant somethin’ else when ya brought up stallions cuddlin’ and then my sister.” He chuckled. “Couldn’t even tell what ya were sayin’…or what we’re talkin’ about, actually.” Applejack scratched his head and a confused look appeared on his face.

Blitz frowned. He felt his ears fall flat and his head lowered on its own. “No…just…talking about having to stay warm, sometimes.”

Applejack gave him a sympathetic smile. He stepped next to Blitz and wrapped a foreleg around him. “Sorry, Blitz. I’m exhausted and I ain’t thinkin’ too well right now.”

“It’s cool.” Blitz found himself staring at the ground.

“If you’re worried about it, why don’t ya ask Elusive to make ya somethin’ warm for the winter?”

Blitz nodded with a sigh. “Yeah, I’ll do that…”

------------------------------

“Okay, yesterday with Applejack was a huge mess,” Blitz muttered to himself as he walked through the streets of Ponyville. The thoughts of leaving Sweet Apple Acres in shame after his miserable attempt at coming out had been haunting him ever since. He was too ashamed to even talk to Dusk about it. Blitz took a deep breath. “Alright, I’m not going to worry about Applejack for now. I’ll save him for last.”

After Dusk went to sleep, he had spent some time coming up with a plan for Berry—the pony he was probably the least worried about. Berry was accepting of pretty much anyone, so Blitz knew he shouldn’t stress over it. He just had to ease into the conversation, just much smoother than he did with Applejack. “And try to actually make sense today, okay,” he added under his breath.

Blitz looked up from his musings to see Sugarcube corner already in view. He took a deep breath to brace himself for the coming conversation. While he knew he had to tell Berry, he was still working out the details on exactly what he was going to say. He realized with Applejack that steering the topic with an odd remark wasn’t the best way of doing things—even Berry would be thrown for a loop with that one. No, Blitz now knew he had to be subtle.

I was thinking I would buy something and go from there, but what should I actually say?” As he drew closer, he noticed a sign out front of the store. “Eclairs, two for three bits.” he read aloud. A frown came across his face. “Why couldn’t they have cupcakes or fritters on special today?” he groaned, softly.

Eclairs had never been his favorite dessert, and though he hated to admit it, the ones at Sugarcube Corner were possibly his least favorite. A brief mental flash of squirting cream all over his face as he took a bite of a donut came to mind and made his face scrunch. “That’s happened too many times…”

“I don’t get why ponies eat something long and filled with—” Suddenly, something clicked for Blitz. His eyes went wide and a smile slowly worked its way onto his face. “Oh, that’s good, maybe eclairs aren’t such a bad thing,” he muttered to himself. After he let out a small snicker, he nodded, confidently, and walked inside.

As soon as Blitz stepped inside the store, he caught Berry waving at him excitedly. “Heya, Blitz!” Berry called from behind the register.

“Hey, Berry. What’s up?” Blitz casually strolled up to the counter and placed his foreleg on it.

“Nothing much, just working.” Berry leaned forward onto the counter, his forelegs spread wide and a big smile on his face. “So, where you been? I haven’t seen you around much lately!”

Blitz felt his face turn a little red. “B-been busy with work…”

Berry’s grin turned devious and his eyes narrowed as he leaned in closer. “And hanging out with Dusk, too?” he asked just above a whisper. Berry couldn’t contain his laughter as he saw Blitz’s eyes nearly pop out of his head. “We all know you like books now, Blitz-y you don’t have to be so shy about it!”

Once it was clear Berry wasn’t implying what Blitz thought he was implying, he cleared his throat. “Y-yeah, well…” His eyes shifted around for a moment, catching a glimpse of a few customers enjoying their afternoon inside the bakery. “I still got a reputation to maintain, you know.”

He stared out at the patrons, only a few in number, but still too many as far as he was concerned. “I was too eager to just tell Berry, I forgot ponies actually come in here to eat…” His jaw clenched. “I can’t tell him while these ponies are here, but if I ask him to go on break, my whole lead in won’t work…

“So, what brings you in today, Blitz?” Berry tilted his head to the side, an oblivious curiosity in his eyes.

Blitz looked back at him, feeling his chest tighten. “I don’t have time. Just lead in and then ask him to go on break to break the news.” He took a deep breath. “Just came in for a quick snack.”

Berry nodded rapidly. “Cool! We got plenty of snacks!”

“Yeah, I wasn’t sure what to get, though.” Blitz placed his hoof against his chin, feigning thought. For once, this conversation was going just how he wanted it to. “I was thinking something doughy and fried. Like, a donut, maybe? But not a donut.”

Berry’s eyes shot opened and he bounced into the air. “Oh! I can make donuts if you want! We’ve got the batter already made up since today’s special is eclairs!” When he landed, he had a huge grin on his face. “Want your donuts with chocolate drizzled on top or glazed?”

“I don’t really want donuts, I just want something like donuts.” Now was the moment of truth.
“Wait, back up, you’ve got eclairs today?” Blitz did everything to hold back his smile. It was going too perfect. All he had to do was go a bit further.

“Yeah, chocolate covered eclairs!” Berry’s tongue quickly ran across his lips. “They’re super good! I made the cream myself!” He giggled.

“Eclairs, huh…” Blitz continued pretending to contemplate his options. “Not everypony likes eclairs you know.”

Berry tilted his head to the side. “That’s news to me. Eclairs are super good.”

“Well, between eclairs and donuts, right?” Blitz kept a close eye on Berry, seeing if he would follow. “Some ponies just like donuts more than eclairs and some like eclairs more than donuts.”

“I like both to be honest,” he said with a shrug. “They’re both so sugary and sweet, what’s not to like?”

Blitz shook his head. “No, I mean—like, some ponies like eclairs more than donuts…Get it?” He was only met with a blank stare. His hoof found its way to his forehead for a brief moment before he dragged it down his face. “Berry, I’m saying I like eclairs more than donuts.”

Berry continued to stare with a confused look. “You want some then? Why didn’t you just—”

“No, Berry, like—” Blitz groaned. As strange as it was, Berry was a wildcard on pretty much any issue brought before him. He was oddly thick at times when it came to subtlety, but other times, he knew exactly what was being implied. He sighed and collected his thoughts for a moment. What Blitz realized he had to do was he had to make it a little more clear that it was an innuendo. “Eclairs are long and filled with cream, right?”

Berry nodded. “Yeah…” He raised an eyebrow. “They’re good, what about them?”

“And donuts have a hole in the center…” Blitz leaned in close, lowering his voice as he did. “I’m saying I like the one that’s long and filled with cream over the one with the hole…Get me?”

He watched as Berry blinked absently a few times. A few moments of awkward silence passed and Blitz felt his chest growing ever tighter. He had all but come out and said it, now he just had to wait and see if Berry would pick up on the hint. He kept his hoof ready, prepared to snap it up to Berry’s mouth in case he freaked out.

Suddenly Berry’s eyes went wide and a small tinge of red appeared on his cheeks. “Um…Blitz?”

Blitz felt his heart race and his hoof trembled in anticipation. He swallowed the pooling saliva in his mouth.

“I, uh…I guess what you do with food is up to you, but can you not talk about banging our deserts? It’s kinda weird.”

Blitz nearly choked. “The hell, Berry! I didn’t say that!” He placed both hooves on the counter and stood up tall on his hind legs. His eyes narrowed in a glare and he felt his face burning with embarrassment.

“Boys?”

Blitz stopped glaring and both he and Berry turned to see Mrs. Cake standing at the other end of the counter. The short mare’s face was a bit brighter red than Berry’s. “I would prefer if you didn’t talk about this type of stuff in our store.”

Blitz stared at her, blinking for a moment as the gears started to turn. He glanced back to see the customers staring at him in turn, each having a similar shade of red on their faces. Blitz felt his own face burning even hotter. “Look, I—”

Mrs. Cake cleared her throat.

Blitz sighed, reluctantly. His head fell down and his ears laid flat against his head. “Sorry, Mrs. Cake…I’ll just take a half dozen eclairs to go.” When he looked back up, his eyes met Berry’s for a brief moment. The innocent look on his friend’s face just made him want to yell, but he knew it wasn’t Berry’s fault.

A brown bag appeared on the counter after Berry ducked into the display case for a moment. When he popped back up, Blitz tossed him the bits, grabbed his bag, and left. But just as he made it to the door, he heard Berry call out, “Don’t get any of my cream on your face this time!”

Before he could turn around, he heard Mrs. Cake yell Berry’s name. “Serves him right.

------------------------------

“Why is this so damn hard?” Blitz found himself laying on a cloud once more. He stared up at the sky, oozing lethargy. After two failed attempts, it was as if any motivation he had summoned up from his talk with Dusk before had been sucked out of him. Two days, two colossal failures that only left his friends thinking he was some kind of sick pervert. “AJ probably thinks I’m into incest and Berry thinks…

“Berry really thought I was talking about fucking the eclairs yesterday? Seriously?” Blitz smacked his hoof into the cloud. He was too embarrassed to even finish what he had planned yesterday. After he had told Berry, he was supposed to go to Butterscotch’s cottage, but that never happened. Instead, he just went home to wallow in his shame. With a sigh, he rolled onto his stomach.

“Hell, I still don’t want to go,” he muttered to himself. Everything Dusk had said was coming true. The more Blitz thought about pushing off talking to Butterscotch, the harder telling him felt in his mind. Berry and Applejack would be impossible at this rate. If he screwed up telling Butterscotch, would he even be able to tell his friends at all? Just the thought of screwing it up with Butterscotch felt like a punch to the gut. And the way things were going for him, that was starting to feel like a given. “It’s all because I can’t just say it…

He took a deep breath to calm down. “I mean, if I was dating a mare, this wouldn’t be hard. I’d just come out and say it.” Blitz narrowed his eyes as he stared off into the horizon. His previous thought dug at him, only pissing him off, mostly because it was true. If he was banging a mare like Dusk, he’d be proud of it. A smart, talented filly who made him feel good about himself? He’d be shouting that from the rooftops.

But, change one thing and he’s ashamed? Why should he be? Blitz punched the cloud again. “That’s it. No more being subtle or easing into it!” Blitz jumped up, a newfound fire in his belly. “I’m just going to go tell Butterscotch. I mean, he knows about nature, right? I’m sure he’s seen two dude animals getting it on before.” Blitz nodded his head, confidently. With a powerful flap of his wings, he bolted off to Butterscotch’s cottage.

Perfect,” he thought as the cottage came into view. He could just make out Butterscotch in the yard, surrounded by chickens and other birds. Blitz took a deep breath and set down behind his friend. “Hey, Butterscotch, what’s up?”

Butterscotch jumped slightly from the sudden interruption to his chores, but when he saw Blitz, he smiled. “Oh, Hello, Blitz. I’m just—” He looked down in front of him, holding up a small cup of feed. “Feeding the chickens.” He laughed to himself. “The same thing I do everyday around this time.”

With a quick flick of his foreleg, Butterscotch tossed the feed into the yard. Once the birds had scattered, he turned set the cup down in the bag of feed and turned to his friend. “How have you been? It’s been awhile since you’ve stopped by. Did you want to have some tea?”

“No thanks. I just came to—” Blitz felt his chest tightening again, but he pushed it from his mind. “I just came to ask you something.”

Butterscotch’s eyes widened a bit before a small smile came across his face. “Sure, if there’s something I can help with, I’ll be happy to answer…That is, if I know the answer.” He laughed slightly, shrinking down a bit. “I mean, I might not know the answer, so I shouldn’t sound so sure—”

“Butters, I’m sure you know.” Blitz rolled his eyes. He just barely noticed Butterscotch mouthing the word ‘okay’ before taking another deep breath. “Alright, you know a lot about nature right?”

He nodded, his ears perking up when he realized the topic. “I suppose…”

“And I don’t mean just the cute or nice stuff, either…” Blitz still found himself looking at his hoof and his face felt like it was burning.

“Um…” Butterscotch rubbed his foreleg, nervously. “I-I suppose?”

“You’ve seen some animals do some weird stuff, right?”

“Weird might be a stretch…” Butterscotch muttered, just barely audible. “What is it you wanted to ask?” His voice found some confidence, once his eyes saw Blitz fidgeting.

“You’ve seen animals doing it, right?” Blitz glanced up.

Butterscotch’s eyes went wide and his face turned bright red. “I-I…uh…” He shrunk down and quickly turned his gaze to the side. After a few moments of awkward silence, Butterscotch muttered. “I don’t think they would appreciate me talking about it.”

“Look, I just needed to know, have you—” Blitz swallowed. “Have you seen any…gay animals?” His voice was barely above a whisper.

“What?” Butterscotch shot his attention back to Blitz. A disturbed, but still curious eyebrow raised.

“Like, two dude animals fucking?” For a moment, Blitz felt like his face might combust from the sheer heat he felt. He had never been so utterly embarrassed and exposed in his entire life. “I was to know because I—”

“Um…“ Butterscotch interrupted with a soft interjection. “Blitz, I’m not too comfortable discussing this…” His face was bright red as well.

A frown appeared on Blitz’s face and his forehead scrunched. “But, Butters, listen—” Blitz groaned. His conviction was beginning to wane before his growing shame. “I mean, if animals do it, it’s not weird for ponies to do it, right?”

Butterscotch stared down at the ground, completely silent. His face was beat red. After a few moments, he managed to regain control enough to actually speak. “W-what the animals do is between them.” Butterscotch glanced back. He found the chickens gathering behind him, awaiting the next helping to be thrown for them. “But…if it’s okay with you…I think the animals would both prefer if you didn’t try and…” He stumbled over his words for a moment before whispering, “have…sex with them…”

“Wait, what? No!” Blitz took a step forward.

Butterscotch flinched from the sudden approach. “I’m sorry, Blitz, I have to get back to work.” He turned around, reaching for the cup inside the bag of feed once more. “I won’t judge you or anything…but, please don’t force them…They’re sensitive…”

“Butters, I’m not into animals!” Blitz yelled.

Dusk hummed a small tune to himself with a smile on his face. He held a small package aloft in his magic as he trotted towards the Golden Oak Library. Once at the door, he set the package on his back and turned the handle with his magic. He giggled to himself with delight as he thought about the package. “I can’t wait for Rainbow to see—” His thought stopped short when he noticed Blitz laying in his usual spot in the living room.

He stepped inside and closed the door behind him. “I didn’t expect you back so soon.” A faint sound of acknowledgement graced his ears from his unmoving coltfriend. Dusk half-frowned once he had a chance to take in the sight more.

Blitz was sprawled out with his head flat on the floor. His ears were flat and half-closed eyes seemed to lack any life. Even Blitz’s mane seemed unusually flat.

“Is…everything okay?” Dusk asked, cautiously as he approached.

“Yeah,” Blitz said, barely audible.

“I’m not exactly convinced.” He levitated his package onto the table by the couch and sat down next to Blitz. “You’ve been pretty down the past few days.

“I guess…”

“Did you…tell everypony?” he asked, hesitantly.

“Get off my back, alright!” Blitz yelled as he rolled onto his side away from Dusk. “Between work and you’re nagging, I haven’t had a chance!”

Dusk’s flinched from the sudden outburst. Dusk furrowed his brow and his ears fell flat. “That was the first time I asked about it since we spoke a few days ago. I was just asking, Rainbow.”

“Well, it’s too much, okay?” Blitz didn’t move.

Seconds passed without a sound coming from either of them. Dusk could only bring himself to stare at Blitz as he contemplated how to respond. After a few minutes, he moved closer to Blitz and laid on his stomach next to him. He kept his gaze to the opposite side of the room, and simply waited.

His patience was rewarded when he heard a sigh next to him. Dusk nodded as a silent self-congratulations.

“Sorry,” Blitz muttered. “I’m just…pissed.”

“Did it really go that bad?” he asked, innocently.

“Yeah…” Blitz sighed again. “I couldn’t even tell them. I tried, but anything I tried to say just came out wrong.”

Dusk nodded again, this time in understanding.

“Like, Applejack thought I was talking about incest, Berry thought I meant I wanted to fuck some donuts I was buying—”

“Is that why you brought those eclairs over?” Dusk raised an eyebrow and chuckled to himself.

“Yeah…And then Butterscotch thought I wanted to fuck some animal.” Blitz ended with a loud groan. He rolled onto his back and looked up at Dusk. “What am I gonna do?”

A sympathetic smile came across Dusk’s face. “Well, I don’t know the whole conversations you had with each of them, but I’m guessing you cleared up the misunderstanding at least?”

Blitz rolled his eyes and nodded.

“I believe I told you not to worry so much about this.”

“And here comes the ‘I told you so’s.” Blitz pinched his eyes shut and pulled his foreleg over them. “Dusk, skip it, okay? I’m not in the mood.”

“I’m just trying to tell you that I think you were too worried about easing into the situation you lost what you were trying to say. You need to not worry.”

“So just walk up and tell them I’m gay?” Blitz peeked out from behind his foreleg.

“You wouldn’t be in this predicament if you did that.” He couldn’t help but laugh.

Blitz struggled not to laugh, but ended up doing so too. “You’re such a dork.” He pulled his foreleg up to over his forehead and stared up at the ceiling. “I don’t think I can though. Not yet.”

“Need more time?”

“I don’t even want to think about it right now. After I cleared up that mess with Butters today, I ended up volunteering to help him get the animals ready for winter. And I’m pretty sure Berry’s probably going to get me a giant eclair to fuck for my birthday next year.”

Dusk chuckled. He covered his mouth when he noticed a glare from Blitz. “Sorry.”

“I’m still going to tell them, but for now, I just want to put it out of my head.”

“Do you want me to help next time?”

Blitz stared up at the ceiling for a moment before giving a small nod. “Yeah…Maybe then I can keep things from getting so crazy.”

“Good.” Dusk smiled. His horn lit up and he glanced over to the table. The box he brought in earlier levitated over to him. “I bought a little surprise for when you finally do tell them.”

“I swear, if it’s a dress—”

“It’s not.” Dusk gave a sly grin. “I think you’ll have some fun with it, but I’m not even going to let you see it until you’ve told them.” Dusk looked back at the box. A translucent purple lock formed inside the cloud of Dusk’s magic and clicked shut around a small tab. “Think of it as a bit of incentive. So, no peeking.”

Blitz moved his foreleg from his forehead and placed his hoof on Dusk’s cheek. “You really are a dork.” He pulled Dusk’s head down and brought his muzzle up. “If you think some kinky sex is going to make me tell them, I’m going to have to disappoint you.”

“No, it’s an added bonus.” Dusk placed his lips on Blitz’s, pushing his tongue into his waiting mouth.

Blitz let out a small moan. Their tongues danced with one another in perfect harmony. In that moment, Blitz felt his unease melt away. Everything became a blur where only he and his lover mattered. He was barely aware that Dusk stood up and moved over on top of him. He felt his coltfriend’s forelegs slipping under him, pulling him in for a tight hug.

Blitz let his eyes drift closed. His body moved on instinct, reacting only to its desires. But, just as he was about to fully let himself immerse in this bliss, the sound of the front door opening snapped him back to reality. His eyes darted over to see a big, orange shape stepping inside.

“Hey, Dusk?” Applejack called into the library as he stepped inside backwards, using his rump to push the door opened. Just as he turned around, Blitz tossed Dusk off him and rolled onto his stomach.

“Uh, hey, Applejack!”: Blitz said, nervously.

Dusk groaned as he rolled over onto his stomach. He shook her head and placed a hoof to it. “Hi, Applejack.”

The farmer raising an eyebrow at the peculiar sight. Blitz and Dusk were both laying in the middle of the room, faces flushed and Dusk looked like he was recovering from a hangover with the way he was rubbing his head. “Am I interruptin’ somethin’?”

“N-no!” Blitz blurted out. “W-we were just…” Blitz’s eyes darted around for a moment before locking back onto Applejack. “Wrestling!”

“Uh-huh…” Applejack gave a raised eyebrow as he walked further into the room. He stopped after a few steps and hoisted a bag of apples off his back. “Ya alright, Dusk?”

Dusk nodded and forced a smile on his face. “Of course. We just got a little carried away over a scene in a book we were reading.”

Blitz nodded. “Right.”

“Whatever y’all say.” Applejack adjusted his hat and chuckled. “I just came to drop off some apples for ya since I was in the neighborhood.“

“Thank you.” Dusk hopped up onto his hooves and walked over to the bag of apples. He levitated them with his magic and put them into the kitchen while he talked to Applejack. “How’s the harvest going?”

“Much better now that Big Red’s back on her hooves. I swear, she works herself too hard—but, now that she’s up and movin’ again, we should be able to finish no problem.”

“That’s good to hear.” Dusk smiled.

“Wait, your sister was hurt?”

Applejack nodded. “She just twisted her leg wrong and needed a few days off s‘all. It’s why I was so tried the other day when you stopped by. Not that I’ve had a chance to get much rest since.” Applejack fought back a yawn. “So, ya gone to see Elusive yet about gettin’ some warmer clothes, Blitz?”

Blitz’s ears fell flat. “N-not yet.”

“Might wanna hurry. He get’s mighty busy ‘round this time of the year.”

“Yeah…” Blitz sighed.

Dusk looked at Blitz to see his ears flat once more and that depressed look back in his eyes. A small frown came across his face for a moment at the sight of his coltfriend so down.

“Well, I gotta get back. Can’t have Gala pushin’ herself too hard, yet. See y’all around.” He tipped his hat and started towards the door. After Dusk and Blitz said their goodbyes, Applejack left.

Once they were alone, Dusk turned back to Blitz. “We could have just told Applejack while he was here.”

Blitz sighed. “Yeah right…”

Dusk walked back over to his lover and lay next to him once more. He placed his foreleg over Blitz and pulled him in for a hug. “Is it that hard to just say it?”

“After how he reacted earlier this week, I think Applejack’s going to freak out about it. I just feel like he’s going to have an issue with me being gay.”

Dusk frowned again. “I don’t know if that’s the case. He’s a pretty accepting pony, Rainbow.”

Blitz laid his head into Dusk and rubbed his cheek against his coltfriend’s. “It feels like he’s going to have an issue…”

Author's Notes:

So, a few things. I had originally planned to have a clop scene in this chapter, but I decided against it. It was going to be more of the same and just felt dull. I don't want to force one into every chapter, especially if it's going to be soulless. The next two chapters however will have some big sex scenes to make up for it.

To Be His Mare: Acceptance

Chapter 3: Safety

“I just don’t know what to do…” Dusk kicked his foreleg forward as he stared down at the floor. “He’s been so mopey lately, it’s hard to get him interested in anything.”

“Dusk,” a soft, but exhausted voice drew his attention up. A white hoof moved through a slightly messed purple coif of hair. Elusive poked his head up from behind a mound of cloth, his glasses barely resting on the tip of his nose. “I’m usually more than happy to listen to your woes, but I’m incredibly busy.”

Dusk frowned. “Sorry, Elusive, but I’m just worried about Rainbow. He’s too worked up over telling our friends that he’s lost all motivation.”

Elusive pulled his glasses from his face with his magic and gave a weak nod. He pressed the bridge of his muzzle. “Well, I suppose I could use a small break.”

“Thanks, Elusive.” A smile came across Dusk’s face. “I could use some advice.”

“That’s the problem, Dusk. You’re not the one who needs advice…” He rubbed his temple and pinched his eyes closed. “This is Blitz’s problem, you should be helping him deal with it, not trying to solve it for him.”

Dusk groaned. “It’s been two weeks already and he still hasn’t told them, though.”

“Yes, I understand that.” Elusive stepped out from behind his desk and placed a hoof on Dusk’s shoulder. “But forcing Blitz won’t solve it.”

“I’m not forcing him, I’m just…giving him a push.”

Elusive gave a deadpan expression. “It’s more than a push. I’m warning you now, Dusk, if you force Blitz into this, he’s not going to be pleased.”

Dusk bit his lower lip for a moment. “Well, what should I do? Just watch him be miserable?”

“I didn’t say that.” Elusive pushed his mane out from his eyes.

Dusk’s eyes found their way to the ground once more as he kicked his foreleg. “His depression is really starting to worry me…”

“Then instead of forcing him, support him. He doesn’t need you solving his issues for him. From what you’ve told me before, he’s been going about this wrong. Instead of peeling the bandage off slowly, how about he does it in one fell swoop?”

Dusk pondered for a moment. “Tell everypony all at once, you mean?”

Elusive nodded.

“That’s a bit direct, don’t you think? I did suggest that he tells them, but to tell everyone at once might be a bit extreme.”

“Or, it might be the best way to take care of this situation.”

Dusk nodded and brought his hoof to his chin. He rubbed it back and forth as he thought how to propose the idea to Blitz. What would he say? How would he react? The advantage of telling everyone at once was clear—getting it over quickly—but it had a chance at tripling the backlash. He had to somehow sell that to Blitz. “I think it could work, but how do I get Rainbow to agree with it?”

“Simple, you can be there for support. That’s what he’s lacking—and what I’ve been telling you.”

“Well, he said I could be there when he told them, mostly to keep him on point…I think he meant individually.” After a few moments to let the idea settle, Dusk nodded. It did make sense, it got the mess done with quickly and Blitz wouldn’t feel so anxious with someone else there for him. “So, if I’m there with him…” There was a small issue, the numbers would still be out of their favor, and Blitz would realize that. His eyes darted to Elusive and his ears perked up. “And you will be there as well—”

“Wait, I didn’t—”

“Well, it was your idea. Besides, having another pony there to back him up wouldn’t hurt, right? You’ll help Rainbow not feel so alone, won’t you?”

Elusive scrunched his brow and closed his eyes. After a moment, the regret faded from his face and his eyes opened. They shifted to the pile of fabric sitting on his desk and then back to Dusk. He groaned to himself and lowered his head in defeat. “Curse my caring nature,” he muttered under his breath. “Fine, Dusk. I shall help Blitz.”

“Thanks!” Dusk wrapped his forelegs around Elusive, pulling him in for a tight hug. “I knew I could count on you. This should work out perfectly.”

After a brief moment of being rocked back and forth in his friend’s embrace, Elusive’s horn sparked to life. He used his magic to pull Dusk’s hooves from around him and gently set the excited stallion back down on all fours. He cleared his throat and straightened his mane. “Do be sure to get Blitz’s permission first. I shan’t have any part of this if you don’t.”

“I said I would…”

Elusive frowned slightly. “You have a tendency to get wrapped up in things, so I just want to be sure.”

Dusk rolled his eyes. “I’m going to ask him if he wants to do this before I have everyone over. I know I have a tendency to get carried away, but I’m not insensitive…”

“Good.” Elusive glanced over at a table. He levitated a small box from it, perfectly giftwrapped with a bow and brought it over to Dusk. “Now, before I forget.”

When presented with the package, Dusk’s face lit up.“Thanks!” With a grin, he took the box and set it on his back. ”For the idea and the order.”

“It wasn’t easy to find, I had to contact a friend of mine in Manehatten.” Elusive raised a playful eyebrow. “I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.” Elusives eyes shifted from the package to Dusk with a sly grin on his face. After a brief moment, a giggle snuck up on himself, forcing him to cover his mouth with his hoof. “Well, I’m sure both of you will.”

Dusk blushed. “Well, that part’s a surprise.” Dusk glanced back as some naughty thoughts came to mind, the erotic fantasies he would enact with his lover using the contents of his newest package. He cleared his throat when he felt the heat in his face reach a boiling point. “Either way, it should make of an entertaining evening.” He shook his head and turned back to his friend.

Once Elusive regained his composure, he sighed. “Of course, you can’t spoil something like this. It would ruin the magic.” He looked to the clock for a second. “It’s that late already? I’m sorry, but I’ll have to cut out visit short, Dusk.”

“It’s no problem. I have to go speak with Rainbow anyway.”

“Quite right. He pulled his hoof from his mouth before shooing Dusk towards the door. “Off you go then. Be sure to give him my regards.”

Dusk nodded. “Thanks, Elusive.”

------------------------------

With a smile on his face, Dusk used his magic to turn the handle on the library door. He pushed it open and walked inside. He set down his package and closed the door behind him. He let out a content sigh. “Barb, Rainbow, I’m home,” he called out.

A muffled sound of acknowledgement came from the direction of the living room, grabbing Dusk’s attention. His eyes came to the couch where he saw his coltfriend laying with his back to the world. The sight caused him to half frown. “I see you haven’t moved.”

“Yup,” was all Blitz said. He didn’t even move a muscle.

Dusk looked around the empty library. “Where’s Barb?”

“Welcome back, Dusk. I’m making lunch,” the young dragon called from the kitchen. “You want anything, Dusk?”

He looked in the direction of her voice. “I’ll probably have a salad or a sandwich later. Thanks for asking,” he called back. After he finished, he looked back at Blitz. With a sigh, he walked towards him, shaking his head slightly as he did.

“You really need to stop this…”

“You really need to keep it down,” Blitz retorted. “I’m trying to take a nap.”

Dusk rolled his eyes. “What happened to you feeling better a few days ago? You seemed like you were going to give it another shot.”

Blitz didn’t respond.

Dusk glanced over to the kitchen to make sure Barb was still busy inside before looking back at Blitz. “I was talking to Elusive about this whole mess. You’re worried, I get that, Rainbow, but you’re miserable—”

“I’m not miserable. I’m just fine,” Blitz snapped.

“Have you even seen our friends since you tried to tell them last?”

Blitz was silent again.

“That’s what I thought. You’re avoiding them, Rainbow, and that’s not helping the situation.” Dusk placed his hoof on his coltfriend’s shoulder.

Blitz rolled over, shrugging off Dusk’s hoof, and shot him a glare. “What am I supposed to tell them, Dusk? You know they’ve talked to each other about it! I mean, hell, our friends probably think I’m into the trifecta of weird fetishes!” His glare softened as his gaze drifted towards the ground. “Fucking food, family, and fauna.”

Dusk couldn’t help but crack a smile. He pulled Blitz in for a quick hug. “I’m proud of you for using alliteration. Reading has really expanded your—”

“This is serious!” Blitz pushed him back.

“Sorry.” Disk rubbed the back of his head with his hoof. “But, you really are miserable. I know your friends hating you is a troubling thought, but that’s what I was talking to Elusive about.”

“What’s he know…” Blitz muttered.

“He knows that you’re just moping about because you’re too scared to actually talk to everyone.”

“I’m not scared.” Blitz sat up, glaring at Dusk. “I just don’t feel like telling them, okay?”

Dusk shook his head. “You don’t need to get defensive, Rainbow.”

Blitz groaned and crossed his forelegs. “I just…” He stopped himself short. He wanted to make an excuse why he was acting the way he was, but he knew it didn’t matter. Dusk knew why and he was just trying to help. Blitz let out a sigh. “Fine, I’m…a little scared.”

Dusk nodded with a small smile on his face. “And I think I have an idea to solve this little issue.”

“What’s that?”

“Now, hear me out. We should invite Applejack, Butterscotch, and Berry over and tell them.”

Blitz threw his head back in protest. “I already tried telling them, Dusk!”

“No, we invite them over for the sole purpose of telling them. There’s no build up or anything. Just get it out there and—”

Blitz stared at him blankly before interrupting with, “You’re crazy.”

“Would you let me finish?” Dusk narrowed his eyes slightly. “I didn’t come up with this idea, it was Elusive’s. So, at least let me explain the whole thing before you shoot it down.”

Blitz rolled his eyes and nodded. “Fine.”

“We invite them over so you can tell them all at the same time.” Dusk saw Blitz cringe and open his mouth. A quick glare silenced him before he could interrupt once more. “The difference between you telling them by yourself and this, is that you would have Elusive and I there for support. All you’ll have to do is tell them and it will be done, right? We can deal with the backlash—if there even is one.”

Blitz scrunched his brow. The thought of telling just one of his friends was enough to make his heart feel like it would jump out of his chest, but to tell all three of them? His kneejerk reaction was to tell Dusk no, but he held it back. Nothing was getting solved by sitting here and hiding from his friends, he knew that. At some point, he would have to tell them. It’s not like he could keep his relationship with Dusk secret from them forever.

Blitz nodded. “So, you and Elusive would be there for this?”

“Of course.”

Blitz took a deep breath. It wouldn’t be easy, but it was just one moment. All he would have to do is say it and then it would be out there. He could deal with their reactions after that, he would have help in that department. Even if Applejack freaked out, Dusk and Elusive would be there to calm him down and have Blitz’s back. But there was still that moment where he would have to tell them. Their eyes on him, waiting—judging him. Blitz felt a chill run down his spine.

“I don’t know, Dusk. It sounds like it could work, but what if I can’t do it still? Like, they’re all there and I can’t say it?” Blitz’s ears fell flat. “Like before…”

Dusk placed his hoof on Blitz’s shoulder. “I have faith in you.”

“Thanks, but that’s really not helping…”

“Rainbow, you want them to know, right?”

Blitz nodded.

“If you want them to know, then you’ll tell them when the time comes. You’re the type of pony who comes through when the pressure’s on. Remember the Best Young Flyer competition?”

Blitz shrugged. “I guess.”

“Well, I’m not guessing.” Dusk said with a cheerful tone. “I know you’ll be able to do it. Just believe in yourself.”

Blitz let Dusk’s words hang for a moment in his head. He found himself nodding as he stared at the floor. Dusk was right. These are his best friends. These were the ponies he’d been close to for so long. He’s been comfortable enough around them to do everything else, so why not let them know he’s dating a stallion? All he had to do was just switch his mindset. It was just like performing. He just need to not focus on the what-ifs and get it out there. “I know you’ve been telling me not to stress over it, but I think I finally get it. I’ll treat it like a competition and just focus on doing it instead of what they’ll think.”

Dusk smiled. “That’s the spirit.”

Blitz smiled himself and looked back up at Dusk. For the first time since he decided to tell them, he felt a weight begin to lift off his shoulders. It wasn’t gone, but the end was in sight. “With a cheering section, I think I can do it.”

“And I’ll be next to you the whole time.”

“Yeah,” Blitz said as he puffed out his chest.. “Invite them over tomorrow. Let’s get this over with.”

Dusk pulled Blitz in for a hug. “That’s better. I prefer you when you’re yourself.”

“You mean not second guessing myself?” A small sound of affirmation hit Blitz’s ears. He wrapped his forelegs around Dusk and pulled him deeper into the embrace. He rubbed the unicorn’s back gently with his hoof as a smile came across his face. “Well, you’ve been telling me for the past month to just be comfortable with myself and not worry about stuff like this. I was starting to feel a bit like you with how you worry about stuff.”

“Hey, my stuff is more…worry worthy—”

Blitz let out a laugh. “Like not getting a letter to the prince on time?”

Dusk puffed out his cheeks and let out a low groan. “Okay, maybe not. But, this is something about you, not an issue that needs solved. You can’t help it and others are the ones that need to accept it.”

“Yeah.” Blitz rubbed his cheek against the side of Dusk’s head. “It’s on them. I’m me and that’s not changed,” he said, softly. But, just as he was about to let go of his coltfriend and lay back on the couch, he noticed something. Across the room sat a box tied with a string. Blitz narrowed his eyes. “Dusk…” he said with a flat tone.

“Yes?”

“What did you buy from Elusive now?”

“Uh, well, it’s not a dress.” Dusk pulled back from their embrace with a chuckle, but kept his hooves on Blitz’s forelegs. “I don’t think I should have to preface every purchase I make with that. But, anyway, it’s part of my surprise for you. And before you ask, no, you’ll find out tomorrow night.” he stuck his tongue out playfully.

“Why do I feel like I’m not going to like this surprise?”

“Trust me, I think you’ll enjoy it when we start using it.”

His ears twitched slightly with a growing interest in his coltfriend’s surprise. “I’ll like it, huh? Knowing you, it’s going to be something kinky.” Blitz’s hooves slowly trailed down Dusk’s forelegs as he spoke.

“You’ll have to wait and see.”

A feminine groan drew both of their attention to the kitchen door, where Barb stood with a plate in one hand and a bowl in the other. “You guys done with—” Her eyes ran over them, slightly confused but mostly annoyed. “—with whatever it is you were doing?”

Blitz stared at Barb for a moment before he laid back into the couch, feigning disinterest. “Yeah.” His eyes darted to Dusk for a moment as a teasing grin appeared on his face.

Dusk shook his head and let out a small laugh. “Yes, Barb. We’re done with whatever it was we were doing.”

“Good, because I never know what I’m going to get when I walk in the room with you two. You’re either mad at each other or hanging on one another. I mean, Blitz was acting like a bump on a log when I went to make lunch. Make up your mind, seriously.” She shook her head as she walked towards them. She handed Blitz the plate and Dusk the bowl.

“I said I would make lunch for myself.” An apologetic look came across Dusk’s face.

She shrugged. “It’s just a salad. It’s no big deal”

Dusk took the bowl with his magic and gave Barb a smile. “Well, thanks, Barb. I appreciate it.”

------------------------------

Blitz took a deep breath as he stared down at a mug resting on the small table in front of him. As he watched the steam rise, his mind was blank. Everything vanished and all that existed was the dancing steam—and that’s exactly how he wanted it. If he didn’t think about the coming event, he couldn’t worry about it—a tactic Blitz used before big competitions. All he had to do was keep his mind blank since he already knew what he was doing. All Blitz had to do was keep his cool until then.

He felt the couch shift next to him from someone sitting down. Then a hoof move across his back and pull him into a warm embrace. “Are you still feeling confident about it?”

Blitz nodded firmly. “I’m just going to say it.”

Dusk placed his head on Blitz’s shoulder. as he held his mug close to his chest with his free hoof. “Good to hear. Well, I doubt you were paying attention since you’ve been so preoccupied, but everypony should be on their way. Barb went to get them and then she’ll be spending the day with the boys.”

After dating, Blitz had a pretty good idea of how Dusk’s brain worked. He smiled as he took his cup of coffee from the table and laid his head against Dusk’s. “So, we won’t have to worry about them barging in looking for their brothers for whatever reason?”

“Or you,” Dusk said with a small laugh. “They’re all preoccupied for the day.”

“Good, I won’t have to worry about Scoots dropping by either.”

Dusk lifted his mug to his lips and took a sip. Once the cup was clear of his mouth, he swallowed. “You’ve been quiet this morning.”

“I’ve been focused,” Blitz corrected with a little laugh.

“Sorry, focused.” Dusk laughed too. He took another sip after he stopped. “As long as you’re confident—”

“I am.” Blitz rubbed his cheek into Dusk’s mane. “I’ve got this, okay? I’ve been thinking about how I’ve been acting and I’m done feeling like crap. They’re going to know and after that, it’s on them how they feel.”

“That’s my Rainbow,” Dusk said, softly.

But, just as they were getting comfortable, a knock came from the door. Dusk’s horn lit up, and opened the door for the visitor. Elusive stepped inside a moment later, his mane and fur looking pristine once more. “Hello, Elusive.”

“Dusk, Blitz,” he said with a nod. “It’s good to see both of you.” Though much more presentable than the last time Dusk saw him, Elusive’s eyes were still weighing heavy. His voice barely concealed his exhaustion and was highlighted as he raised his hoof to stifle a small yawn.

“I’m glad you could make it, Elusive.” Dusk stood up to greet him.

He nodded again, though lazily. “I wasn’t expecting this short of a notice, but a stallion is only as good as his word. I said I would be here so I am.”

“Thanks for coming, Elusive.” Blitz took a drink from his coffee and stood as well. “It means a lot to me.”

“Just be sure to actually spit it out this time.” Elusive’s fell closed as he held a blink a bit longer than he intended. He shook his head slightly to snap himself out of his daze. “Sorry, that was a bit rude. I haven’t gotten any sleep in a few days. I think it might be affecting my decency.”

Blitz furrowed his brow, but nodded. “It’s cool, I guess. I’ve got it today. I’m not backing down.”

“I’m thrilled to hear it.” Elusive gave a small smile. “So, where are the others?”

“You’re the first to arrive. I ask Barb if she would tell everypony to come, so they should be here shortly.”

“If they can come. AJ’s been busy at the farm for a few weeks now.” Blitz frowned.

Dusk placed his hoof on Blitz’s shoulder. “She’s going to stress that it’s important, which it is.”

Another soft knock came from the door. “Come—” Dusk was cut off by a yelp from the outside. Everyone exchanged a concerned glance before Dusk started towards the door. Just as he was about put his hoof on the handle to open it, a rapid fire string of knocks made him jump.

Dusk opened the door to see Berry standing there with his hoof around a slightly shaken Butterscotch. “Heya, Dusk!” he said, cheerfully.

“H-hello…” Butterscotch added with a shaky tone.

“What happened?” Elusive asked.

“I got him good!” Berry let out a snort as he tightened his grip on the pegasus shoulder. “All in good fun though, right?” He smiled at Butterscotch, still giggling to himself.

“I just wish it wasn’t so startling…” he muttered as his face seemed to sink behind his mane.

“A little scare is good once in awhile.” He pulled Butterscotch in close for a hug. “It lets you know you’re alive.” Without missing a beat, Berry turned to everyone else. “So, how’s everypony doing? It feels like forever since we hung out!”

“It was a little over a week ago,” Dusk reminded him, shaking his head and smiling. “And I think Butterscotch has had enough hugging, Berry. I’m not sure his heart can take it.”

Berry pulled his hoof off the pegasus’s shoulder with lightning speed. “Sorry, Butters. I didn’t hurt you, did I?”

Butterscotch shook his head and rubbed his shoulder. “No, just…feeling a little too alive…”

“You shouldn’t tease him, Berry.” Elusive scolded. “He can be very sensitive. I thought you knew that.”

“Hey, I go easy on him plenty of times. Just last week I didn’t prank him when I had the perfect chance!”

“It’s not an accomplishment when you don’t prank somepony.”

Butterscotch blushed and looked at Elusive. “I’m fine, really.”

Suddenly the door behind Butterscotch was thrown open, causing him to jump into the air. Instead of landing on the ground, like he was expecting, he landed into a pair of waiting forelegs. He looked up to see Berry laughing. “It’s like everypony’s out to get you today.”

Butterscotch whimpered as he climbed down from Berry’s saving catch.

Applejack stepped inside the library tilting his hat back “Alright, y’all, I ain’t got much time, so what’s the emergency?”

“Well, hello to you too,” Elusive said sarcastically.

Dusk looked back at Blitz. He was stiff and had a serious look on his face. He gave him a sympathetic look before turning back to Applejack. “Well, it’s not so much an emergency as something important.”

Applejack raised an eyebrow. “Uh-huh…”

“So, what’s so important? Did you get a letter from the prince?”

Dusk shook his head. “No, I don’t have anything important to say. It’s Rainbow who does.” Dusk motioned back to the pegasus with his hoof. He turned his head and silently beckoned Blitz to come forward with a tilt of his neck.

“Oh, what’s so important Blitz?” Berry asked.

“Well—” he started to speak, but Applejack cleared his throat.

“This ain’t nothin’ weird like before, is it?” Applejack had an almost pained expression. “I mean with the family talk we had last week, it just made things kinda awkward.”

Blitz’s ears flattened against his head. “That’s not—”

“He talked to me about banging an eclair!” Berry snorted. “It was such a hoot. I thought he was serious, but once he left, I realized he was just joking.” Berry wiped a tear from his eye as he laughed.

He shrunk down further. “I was just—”

“I don’t want to interrupt, but I do hope you didn’t make any moves on the animals, Blitz.”

“Wait, he talked to you about animals?” Applejack’s eyes went wide. “The hell, Blitz!”

Blitz pinched his eyes closed. He wasn’t sure why, but he knew it would turn out like this. He hadn’t even gotten a chance to say anything, and his friends were already jumping to conclusions about things. All because he had to open his big mouth a few days back.

I’m not going to back down this time, damn it!” Blitz opened his eyes. He stood tall and puffed out his chest. He grabbed his cup of coffee and took a quick swig of the drink before slamming down the mug.

The slamming mug stopped his friends instantly. Blitz narrowed his gaze and swallowed the bitter liquid. “I’m gay,” he said plainly.

The room was dead silent, to the point they could hear a pin drop. Everyone was staring at him, with mixtures of confusion and expectations. Butterscotch was wide-eyed but also a little red in the face. It looked like it hadn’t quite hit Berry yet as he just simply stared with a small smile like he usually had. Applejack blinked a few times absently before breaking the silence with a chuckle. “Alright, who’d ya lose a bet to?” he asked amidst his laughter.

Blitz took a deep breath but stood firm. “I didn’t.” Applejack stopped laughing as soon as he said that.

Berry placed his hoof to his chin. “Wait, so you’re—”

“Yes, I’m serious! I’m gay, I like stallions, I like dick—get it? I’m not dancing around this anymore!”

Blitz watched his friends’ expressions closely, waiting for any hint of anger or disgust. Berry continued to rub his chin and Butterscotch’s face was completely red. But, Blitz was more concerned about Applejack. The farmer’s eyes shifted from Blitz to Elusive and then Dusk.

“It wasn’t so bad, was it?” Dusk asked.

“Y’all don’t see too fazed by this.” Applejack raised an eyebrow at Dusk before shifting his gaze to Elusive as well.

Dusk cracked a guilty smile and Elusive cleared his throat. “I suppose you could say we knew.”

“Ya did, huh?” Applejack tipped his hat back before looking at Berry and Butterscotch.

Blitz took a deep breath in anticipation for the backlash. The silence was murder. His heart raced in his chest as he tried to force himself to stay calm. But every passing second without Applejack, Butterscotch, or Berry speaking, his thoughts filled in with some imagined disgust. Why was Berry thinking? Why was Butterscotch so embarrassed? Why wasn’t Applejack freaking out? Every question was about to make Blitz explode.

After a moment, Applejack let out a long sigh. “I gotta be honest here, are any of y’all surprised?”

Blitz flinched and his heart froze for a second. That was until the words processed. He opened his eyes timidly, finding a rather calm expression of Applejack’s face. “W-wait, what?”

“Nah, I’m serious. Y’all saw this comin’, right?”

The farmer’s gaze fell to Butterscotch. He nodded softly, his face still ablaze. Applejack nodded after finding his confirmation and then looked to Berry. He stared at the stallion for a second before poking him.

The party pony broke from his thought with a quick straightening of his back. “Who, me?” He looked to Applejack, pointing his hoof at his own chest. When Applejack nodded to him, slightly annoyed, Berry threw his hoof dismissively. “Yeah, I knew. But, I’m still trying to figure out how eclairs fit into all this.”

Dusk stifled a laugh behind his hoof.

Blitz shot him a quick glare before looking back to his other friends. “So, you all knew?” His eyes nearly popped out of his skull.

Berry laugh. “Oh, totally! I mean, some ponies like to check out butts, but you really like to check out butts. Then we started to notice you were checking out our butts too.”

Butterscotch raised his hoof into the air slightly. “I kind of…maybe thought you might be, you know, looking back on when we were little.” He brought his hoof to his foreleg and rubbed nervously. “And, um…other…” he trailed off.

Applejack rubbed the back of his neck. “Yeah, Blitz, ya weren’t that good at hidin’ it. After catchin’ ya starin’ at my ass a few times, I kinda figured it out. I’m flattered you’re interested—not that I swing that way. Then with the way ya’ve been actin’ lately and with your voice…”

“B-but, what about all the teasing and—”

Applejack waved his hoof dismissively. “Come on, Blitz. Ya know that was just in good fun. I only poked fun at ya because it got your feathers all ruffled. Ya do the same to me, right?”

Blitz’s ears drooped. “I guess…”

Dusk walked up behind Blitz and placed his hoof on his shoulder. “See? I told you, you were over reacting. They’re your friends, they weren’t going to hold who you like against you.” Dusk nuzzled Blitz’s neck. A sudden loud gasp stopped him mid-snuggle though.

“W-wait!” Berry pointed a hoof at Dusk and Blitz.

“Hold on, are y’all—”

Berry crammed his hoof into Applejack’s mouth. “Dusk likes eclairs! I knew it!”

“Berry,” Elusive said as he placed his hoof to his forehead. He let out a sigh. “Forget the eclairs.”

Applejack pushed his friend’s hoof from his mouth with a disgusted look on his face. “The hell’s gotten into you,” he muttered to himself as he wiped his lips with his foreleg.

“S-so, how long have you two been…” Butterscotch trailed off, hiding his face.

Dusk looked at Blitz who was already mildly annoyed. It wasn’t a huge leap to assume it was because of his show of affection. Though Dusk didn’t see the problem. If they knew about his preferences, what did it matter if they were aware of their relationship. After all, they would find out eventually and this was a much easier reveal than coming out. “A little over a month.”

“I didn’t know ya liked colts, Dusk.” Applejack scratched his cheek.

“Not exclusively, though I have a preference for other stallions.” He laughed as his eyes fell on Blitz. “Most unicorns are bisexual.”

Applejack’s eyes shifted to Elusive. He raised an eyebrow and smirked. “That explains a lot.”

“Don’t judge me.” Elusive turned his nose up. “I prefer mares, myself.”

Applejack snickered. “I bet.”

“So, Dusky and Blitzy, huh?” Berry sat down and put his hoof to his chin again. He rubbed his hoof back and forth as he pondered. After a second, he bounced back onto all fours. “I need to throw you guys a party! A coming out one for Blitz and one for you two getting to—”

“No!” Blitz snapped. He narrowed his eyes at his friend and firmly shook his head. “This needs to stay between us for a while, okay?”

Berry let out a whine. “Come on! I had planned on making a ton of eclairs too!”

“No!” Blitz groaned.

“He’s right, Berry.” Dusk spoke up. His hoof was idly stroking his coltfriend’s back to calm him down, though it didn’t seem to be working. “This was a big step for Rainbow, but he’s only telling those he’s close to right now. Let’s hold off on the party for when he’s ready to be completely open, alright?”

“And no eclairs,” Blitz added through a clenched jaw.

“Fine,” Berry said with a frown. He crossed his forelegs and sat down to sulk.

Blitz relaxed his gaze, his eyes turning to his one friend who had yet to comment. Sitting perfectly still, Butterscotch had his eyes firmly fixed on the ground. His face was still flustered. As he stared at the ground, Blitz watched his hoof still idly rubbing his opposite foreleg. Blitz tilted his head slightly. “You alright with this, Butters?”

He jumped slightly at the mention of his name. He looked up to see Blitz staring at him, making his eyes go wide. “I-I’m fine, I just…umm…” He shifted nervously under Blitz’s gaze. “Whoever you like is fine.” His eyes fell back to the the ground for a moment before looking towards the door. “I think I should get going, I have a lot of work to do.”

Blitz frowned as Butterscotch started towards the door. “I guess I’ll see you around.” he said, only getting a small nod in response. Blitz looked to his other friends. Applejack was glancing at the clock and Berry had stopped sulking, his hoof was idly rubbing his chin again.

Applejack sighed. “Yeah, that’s probably a good idea, Butters. I’ve got a whole mess of work waitin’ for me on the farm.” He looked back at Blitz and Dusk. With a tip of his hat, he said, “See y’all around. And congrats, I guess.” He looked to Elusive and cracked a smile again.

Elusive glared at him. “You’re acting so immature!”

“Sorry, ya just fit the bill, Lusy.” Applejack chuckled as he made his way to the door.

“So, a stallion can’t have an interest in fashion or the finer things in life without being gay?” Elusive followed Applejack on his way out. “That’s rather closed minded, don’t you think?”

Applejack laughed again before stepping outside. “Just sayin’ you likin’ a stallion on occasion fits too nicely with your choice in profession’s all.”

Elusive stopped short of the door. “Stereotypes are unbecoming, Applejack,” he called outside. With a disgruntled sigh, he looked back to Dusk and Blitz. “I shall also be taking my leave. I still have mountains of orders to work through.”

Blitz gave a single wave. “Thanks for coming, Elusive.”

“Good day, gentlecolts.” The tailor gave a nod and left the library.

Dusk and Blitz both turned their attention to their remaining guest. Berry still had his hoof to his chin and a pensive gaze on his face as he stared into space. The sight caused Blitz tp roll his eyes involuntarily. He cleared his throat to get his friend’s attention, but it didn’t do much to snap the baker from his pondering. After a second, Blitz cleared his throat again, this time even louder. Again, Berry didn’t budge.

“Berry?” Blitz finally said, glaring at him slightly.

“Shush, I’m thinking.”

“About?” Dusk raised an eyebrow.

Blitz groaned under his breath. “If it’s about eclairs, I’m going to hit you.”

“It’s not.” Berry jumped up onto all fours. His deep expression slowly faded with a few blinks. He shook his head and met his friends’ gaze. “It’s got to be perfect! I’m going to have to plan this one out carefully.” In a flash, he slipped between Dusk and Blitz and placing a foreleg around each of them. “We are going to have such an awesome party when you come out, Blitz!” Berry flashed a quick smile before slipping back to where he had been standing a moment before.

“Oh, so you’re talking about a coming out party for Rainbow?” Dusk nodded.

“Fine, just…don’t let it be too embarrassing.”

“No way! This’ll be the best coming out party ever!” Berry bounced into the air, throwing his forelegs up as he did.

But suddenly his smile faded. He practically stopped in mid-air for a brief second before falling back onto his hooves. “Did I tell Mr. and Mrs. Cake I was leaving?”

Dusk raised a concerned eyebrow once more.

“I think I did…” He placed his hoof to his chin once more. “Or did I?” He let out a low hum as he thought. “Well, I’m sure they thought I went on lunch. Which means, I should probably get back before they start to panic.”

“You should have told them something.” Blitz sighed.

“I thought I did, but I can’t remember.” Berry shot a look to the door. “I guess I’d better get back to be sure.” His head boomeranged back to Dusk and Blitz. “I’ll see you guys later!” he said flashing a smile before bolting out the door.

Once Berry was gone, Blitz rubbed the back of his head. “Berry’s crazy…Like, legit crazy sometimes.”

The unicorn wrapped his foreleg around Blitz. “I learned a long time ago to not question what goes through that pony’s head sometimes.”

Blitz shrugged and leaned into Dusk’s embrace. “Yeah.”

Dusk placed his head against Blitz’s and pulled him in tight. “So, are you just going to ignore how Butterscotch was acting?” he asked with a casual tone.

“He was acting weird.” Blitz paused and let out a frustrated groan. “You don’t think he’s weirded out by us, do you?”

There was only silence as Dusk continued to hold his coltfriend. His hoof gently ran along Blitz’s side affectionately before he shrugged with his free shoulder. After a second, Dusk let out a small sigh. “I don’t think so, but you never know unless you ask.”

“It’s a sex thing too. He’s uncomfortable with that kind of stuff.”

Dusk simply nodded.

Blitz stared out into the empty library for a moment in silence. “Should I go make sure he’s okay with it?”

“That’s up to you. You told him, that’s about all you can do. At this point, it’s up to him if he accepts it.”

“I still want to see if he’s actually okay with it. The others saying it was okay might’ve made him feel like he needed to go with the flow, you know?”

He felt Dusk nodding against his head. “I don’t think it’s the case, but if it’s bothering you, go see.”

“Alright.” Blitz pulled away from Dusk. He turned and have his coltfriend a smile. “I’ll be back.”

------------------------------

The sun had already sunk low in the sky by the time Dusk heard the library door closing. He looked up from his book and towards his bedroom window first. After he saw how late it was, he turned his attention to the stairs. “Rainbow?” He called down.

“It’s me.” The familiar sound of Barb’s voice was the one to reply.

Dusk furrowed his brow and looked out his window again. “What’s taking him so long?” he asked in a low voice. The sound of steps coming up the stairs made him look back once more.

Barb’s head poked up after a few seconds with an exhausted expression. “Why do I do you favors?” she mumbled just barely loud enough for Dusk to hear. She stumbled her way over to her bed and collapsed onto the small-pillow mattress.

He couldn’t help but smirk. “It wasn’t that bad, was it?”

Barb let out a single, loud, and obviously sarcastic laugh before she turned her head to look at him. “Those colts are crazy.”

“And that’s why I warn you to stay away from colts.” He stuck his tongue out playfully.

“Yeah, right. Like I’d ever end up with any of those three.” She threw her hand dismissively. “I’m totally going to win over a perfect gentlecolt like Elusive, not some bratty colt.”

All stallions were bratty colts when they were young, Barb.” He raised a teasing eyebrow. “So was every mare when she was a filly. And just like a certain little dragon can be.”

She shot up and crossed her arms. “I am not bratty.”

“Everypony’s bratty at times, is my point.”

Barb gave a small shrug. “It wasn’t all bad, I guess. They just couldn’t decide what they wanted to do so they fought. Anyway, how’d things go with you guys?”

Dusk furrowed his brow a bit and inhaled sharply. “Well, I suppose. There’s still a small loose end to see to, but for the most part, I think it went well.”

“Loose end, huh? Is that where Blitz is?”

Dusk nodded as he climbed off the bed. With a quick stretch of his back and a deep breath, he put a smile on his face. “So, what did you want to do for dinner? I’m cooking.”

Barb’s gaze shifted nervously. “Pass?”

“Very funny.” He motioned with his head. “Let’s go.”

She reluctantly climbed from her basket and started towards the stairs. Her head hung low and her arms almost dragged on the floor as she hunched over. “I’m too young, Dusk,” she whined.

“My cooking is not that bad!” He hoisted her into the air with his magic. As soon as he set her on his back, he let out a loud humph. With her firmly holding onto his side, Dusk trotted downstairs still glaring at her slightly from over his shoulder.

Once they reached the bottom of the stairs, the front door cracked opened. Dusk turned to see Blitz stealthily slipping inside. Their eyes met and Blitz forced a smile. “There goes me catching you off guard while you were reading.”

Dusk half frowned. “How did it go?”

He shrugged. “Butters’ fine. He just had some other stuff he was worried about.”

The unicorn’s half frown turned into a half smile. “I see. So, you’re not going to tell me about it?”

Blitz flashed a confident and slightly condescending smile. “Nope, it’s a secret.” He strolled into the living room with his chest puff out. “Wouldn’t be right for me to tell you when he asked me to keep it one.”

Despite that, Dusk still worried. “Everything’s alright though?”

Blitz nodded, looking Dusk in the eyes. “Yeah, it was a thing with him, not us. He told me he’s okay with me being gay and dating you.” He walked right up to Dusk’s face and planted a quick kiss on his cheek. “So, we’re good.”

Dusk kept his eye on Blitz for a moment, looking him up and down. He was still standing tall and had a smile on his face. As far as Dusk could tell, he wasn’t hiding anything. In fact, Blitz was practically an open book. If he was acting normal, that meant everything was fine. With a small shrug, Dusk put it out of his mind. “Well, I suppose as long as you’re okay, it’s fine.”

“And I am okay, so let’s drop it.” He leaned in again, this time placing a kiss on Dusk’s lips.

“Gross,” Barb said as averted her eyes. “Can you guys not do that in front of me?” She crossed her arms.

Dusk pulled back with a perplexed look. “What’s the matter, Barb?”

“Maybe I don’t want to see my big brother making out with somepony.” She slid off the unicorn’s back and gave him a shove on his foreleg without much of an effect. “You didn’t like watching Shining Aegis doing it in front of you, did you? I didn’t think so.” After that, she walked off into the kitchen.

Dusk had watched her leave, still with that confused look on his face. After she disappeared behind the door, he looked back at Blitz. He opened his mouth to say something but was cut off by a call from the kitchen.

“And I’d rather we survive the night, so I’m cooking!”

He rolled his eyes. “She knows nothing about romance.”

“Oh, you were going to make dinner for me?” Blitz eyes narrowed and he gave his coltfriend a sly grin.

Dusk scratched his reddening cheek. “Well, I was planning on it.”

Blitz snickered before giving him a playful nudge on the shoulder. “Was that your big surprise?”

“You wish.” He took a small step towards Blitz, lording his bit of height over him. Dusk gave a look Blitz hadn’t seen lately. With half closed eyes and a sultry grin, Dusk stared deep into his lover’s eyes. “It’s a little more special than some dinner. Just be sure to come upstairs once Barb goes to bed tonight.”

His voice was deep and carried a lustfulness that sent a delightful tingle up Blitz’s spine. A certain sensation began to stir in his loins. “You know, with all this crap, we hadn’t done it in a while.”

“That’s why I’m having Barb sleep down here tonight.” He leaned down and placed his lips on Blitz’s. His tongue invading his mouth and dancing with his lover’s. Time practically halted for them as they shared their passion for what felt like minutes. But soon, he pulled away. Once free, Dusk took a deep breath. “That’s just the preview.”

------------------------------

Later that night Blitz was laying on the couch with a cup of tea in front of him. He let out a content sigh before a noise caught his attention. The source was a very dissatisfied Barb grumbling to herself as she dragged her basket downstairs. “He’s kicking you out, huh?” he asked, feigning ignorance.

“Yeah, he said he wants the bedroom for some alone time tonight…” She tossed her bed by the couch and glared at Blitz. “This isn’t going to be a regular thing, is it?”

A few quick flashes back to the countless times he and Dusk had banged right under her nose only made him let out a nervous laugh. “I don’t think so, Barb.”

“Rainbow?” Dusk called from upstairs.

“Your coltfriend’s calling.” Barb stuck out her tongue at Blitz.

“Sorry, Barb.”

She waved her hand dismissively. “He’s already apologized. I mean, I get it. You guys need your space too, but why tonight?” She brought the same hand up to cover her mouth from a yawn.

“Well, night,” Blitz said as he climbed off the couch. With a small wave of his hoof, he headed upstairs. The dragon waved back and climbed into her bed for the night.

Once he was upstairs and had stepped inside the bedroom, a bright glow from behind him made Blitz turn around. A magical barrier fell over the door, sealing the room, and thus him inside it. His eyes looked over the sparkling purple wall for a moment before shifting in his coltfriend’s direction. He gave a playful smirk as he turned to face Dusk. “Soundproofing?” he asked with a seductive look in his eye.

Dusk merely smiled back. He stood in the foot of the bed, the dying light of the evening sun casting a deep red over his coat; he was practically glowing. He looked over Blitz, his gaze hungry and housing that domineering aura, but tempered with patience. There was a plenty of time, after all, and Dusk was well aware of that.

After a moment of looking over his lover, he gave a small nod of his head towards the bed. Sitting there, opened and waiting, were the two white boxes. “I promised you a very special surprise.”

Curiosity getting the better of him, Blitz took a step towards the bed. But, before he could take another, a second bright purple glow caught his attention. A line of magic shot out from Dusk’s horn and crossed his path. The band of magic wrapped around his chest, and firmly held him in place.

“Before that though, I need to explain these little surprises.” The hunger in his eyes was suppressed for a moment, replaced with a gentleness. “Now, let me give you my reasoning before you object—”

“Great way to start off,” Blitz said to himself with a roll of his eyes.

Dusk levitated one of the boxes over to him. When the box bumped him in the chest, he glanced down at the contents. Immediately his face flooded with a burning heat. “No,” he said plainly.

“Come on, Rainbow.”

The box descended leaving two long, black stockings hanging in the air. They weren’t quite like the socks Dusk had bought him before. They were translucent, smooth in texture, and very tight from the look of them. The tops had small loops with a strap connecting them to a lacy black garter belt with a floral pattern stitched. The whole package made Blitz shudder.

“No way in hell.” He pushed the stockings out of his face with his foreleg and shot a glare at Dusk. “How is this a surprise for me?”

Dusk scratched his face, looking to the top of his eyes for a moment. “You see, I know you like it when I rut you. So, I thought that if I were to get something sexy for you to wear, it would turn me on a lot and would in turn, let me give you a good time tonight.”

“Dusk…” Blitz stared at him with an unimpressed look. “I’m not buying that. You bought this stuff just to get you off.”

The unicorn stood tall, defending his words. “And who gets off when I get off? You can’t deny you enjoy it when I’m really turned on.”

Blitz nodded. He did have to admit that. Dusk was a whole different pony when he was really into it and that often lead to a very intense night for them. “Still, don’t pretend you got this for me, though.”

Dusk walked up to Blitz, flaunting his bit of height over him once more. He stared down into his coltfriend’s eyes with a confident gaze. A small, almost smug smirk sat on his lips as he leaned into the pegasus’s muzzle. “Then don’t pretend you don’t like being teased, Rainbow.”

Blitz’s cheeks warmed even more. “I-I’m not pretending.” He shrunk down a bit.

“You like being pushed out of your comfort zone—just a bit, don’t you?” Dusk pressed the tip of his nose to Blitz’s.

His coltfriend’s warm breath against his muzzle sent a delightful tingle through Blitz. He pinched his eyes closed and let out a low groan. He was right. The thought of Dusk on top of him, holding him down, and whispering embarrassing things to him elicited a small flare of excitement in his loins. The more he pictured Dusk mounting him and Blitz submitting to his big, strong stallion, the more he could feel that sensation grow. “I-I do…”

Dusk brushed his nose against Blitz’s, slipping down his muzzle and whispering in his ear, “So, you’ll wear this for me?”

His whole body froze. He swallowed hard and finally opened his eyes. “Yeah…”

“Good,” Dusk said before he placed a small kiss on his pegasus’s cheek. “Now you can see the rest of the outfit.”

His horn lit up once more. This time, he brought over the second, larger box. Thoughts raced through Blitz's head of what could be inside. Shoes to go with the stockings perhaps? But, instead of showing Blitz the contents, he pulled the item in question out before it came into view.

Blitz’s eyes went wide and he took a step back in surprise. His rear bumped the barrier behind him, stopping him from retreating further. He couldn’t take his eyes off it.

With his coltfriend retreating, Dusk lowered his head. “I would like you to wear this too.” He looked at Blitz from the top of his eyes with a pouty frown. “Please, Rainbow?”

“You’re kidding, right?” Blitz’s jaw nearly hit the floor. “You want me to put that on?” He pointed his hoof at it. Floating in Dusk’s magic was a jet-black, sleek leather saddle, expertly stitched together and without a single sign of wear or tear. It was relatively thin—clearly not meant for a rider—which meant only one thing, it was for purely cosmetic. Dusk wanted Blitz to wear that thin and sleek saddle to humiliate him—to show him his place.

Blitz bit his lip. As much as he hated to admit it though, that thought turned him on. Forced to dress like a whore and dominated by his stallion; Dusk really did know what Blitz enjoyed. “You really went all out on this, didn’t you?” Blitz asked in a quiet voice.

Dusk nodded. His pouting frown turned into a small smile. The look in his eyes were warm and gentle. He reached out and placed his hoof on his lover’s shoulder and moved closer to him. “I won’t force you. As much as I would like you to, you have the final say.”

Blitz bit his lower lip and have a nod. “I’ll do it. You want it, right? You’d better make it worth my time.”

The unicorn’s eyes narrowed ever so slightly. The hunger and dominate aura he had suppressed earlier were coming out once more as he stared deep into his lover’s eyes. He stood tall over Blitz and moved his hoof to his cheek. “You’re going to love it. Trust me.”

Blitz licked his lips. He took a deep breath and met his stallion’s gaze. With a smile, he said, “You haven’t really steered me wrong yet.”

Dusk nodded. His eyes shifted over to the saddle and stockings held in his magic. He lowered his hoof from his coltfriend’s cheek as he brought the outfit closer. His eyes turned back to Blitz. “Let’s help you get dressed then.”

Blitz stepped away from the doorway and held up his back leg. He felt one stocking slip along his fur, making him twitch slightly as it brushed against the grain of his coat. Once fully inside, he felt Dusk’s magic slip down into the stocking to smooth any ruffled fur. The next leg went the same.

The tight feeling around his hind legs made Blitz feel odd. He wasn’t quite used to the sensation of cloth on his fur, especially not so tightly around him. The squeeze on his legs send a small ripple of excitement through his nethers. Then there was how high the stockings went up his legs. It left his toned rump feeling like it was framed for display. He glanced up to see Dusk, admiring the work already which only made his face flash red again.

Next, Dusk slipped the garter belt up Blitz’s hind legs and over his tail. Once secure, he attached the straps to make sure the stockings stayed firmly in place.

The intensity of his lover’s gaze practically felt like hooves running over Blitz’s sleek, muscular frame. He felt his shaft growing stiff and starting to poke from his sheath. He was pulled from his musings by the heavy sensation of the saddle being set on his back. He glanced to Dusk to see him with his hoof to his chin in thought.

“Over or under?” he asked aloud.

“Under would be more comfortable…” Blitz muttered in reply.

“But over will make you feel more restricted, won’t it?”

The pegasus’s face felt like it was on fire. “Under, Dusk.”

He nodded. “Under it is.”

With Dusk’s magic, he felt the straps slide under his wings. The straps met under his belly where he felt them tie tightly together. After a small wiggle of his body, he could tell the saddle wouldn’t move or slip. With his face still burning, he managed to actually look up at Dusk. He forced a sarcastic smirk. “Is it everything you hoped?”

“Almost. There’s just one more thing I would like,” Dusk said in a low, seductive tone. He took a step towards Blitz and placed his hoof against his cheek once more. He gently gave a reassuring pet to his lover. “You’ve put up with a lot and I appreciate it, but if you would let me cast one spell to complete this, I think I would be able to make you very happy tonight.”

Blitz pinched his eyes closed and bit his lip. “What?”

“Could I grow your mane out a little? You would look so cute with a few inches more.”

“You’re such a jerk,” he muttered in a hushed tone.

“Please, Rainbow?” Dusk gave another pouty frown.

“Fine!” Blitz pulled his face from his lover’s hoof and glared across the room at nothing. He hadn’t noticed his posture slipping as his ears laid flat and his neck lowered to the ground. “Just get it over with.”

“Thank you.Just a small spell to grow your mane and a little something extra too.” His horn lit up one last time. Blitz felt his scalp and back of his neck tingle slightly. His mane, an unkempt mess before, now started to droop in his field of vision. He watched the colorful streaks of hair sink further and further down. Then, just as it came, the light and tingling stopped.

“You happy now?” He immediately brushed his hair out of his eyes. He glanced back at Dusk and rolled his eyes as he started walking towards the bed.

“Want to see?” Dusk asked.

He stopped. “Not really.”

“I think you will—after all, you’re such a cute mare.” He snickered to himself.

“Shut up.” Blitz groaned.

“Come on, I think you might be able to appreciate it. Probably not as much as I do, though.”

Blitz looked over to see a full-length mirror levitating over. He looked at the stallion in the mirror. Like when Dusk had his put on a dress, he barely recognized the pony staring back at him. Between his submissive posture, his mane looking like a shaggy mess of color, and the practically whorish clothes perfectly accentuating his toned body—the stallion in the mirror actually looked a bit like mare.

Blitz felt his face getting warmer. He blushed then, too, but this time was different. When Dusk had him put on a dress, he felt completely humiliated. Now, though, he was blushing because he actually had to admit it; he actually saw what Dusk was going for. The cute, feminine clothes and long hair on his compact, muscular frame—he’d probably fuck the pony in the mirror too, given the chance.

But, it wasn’t just some cute pony, it was him. That pony was Rainbow Blitz. It was a Blitz only Dusk could—no—would know. This was the side that Dusk brought out in him—a submissive little colt who got off being humiliated and teased by the stallion he loved.

He looked up at Dusk, raising his head as he did so. “Cute,” he said, feigning disinterest.

Dusk smirked. “You actually like it, don’t lie. I can see how hard you are.”

Blitz let out a single laugh. “I guess, I look pretty nice.” He gave a sultry gaze and a teasing smile before he turned towards the bed. Slowly, he started walking. With his step, he made sure to swish his tail and shift his hips, all so Dusk could see his ass move. “If he wants it so bad, might as well put it on display for him.

“You dirty little filly,” Dusk said, quickly following behind.

Blitz climbed onto the sheets and lay on his side. His hind legs were extended, showing off his toned muscles under the tight fabric. Slowly, he looked up, his eyes met Dusk’s. Blitz’s face was on fire as he lay there sexily for his lover. A stiffness between his hind legs, practically pleading for attention told Dusk he was ready. He stared into Dusk’s eyes, waiting for his lover, silently begging him to join him.

The unicorn licked his lips. He slowly leaned into Blitz’s face staring into his with half-closed, condescending eyes. Slowly, he raised one hoof onto the bed, and leaned in further until his muzzle was not even an inch from his coltfriend’s.

Blitz moved closer for a kiss. Once their lips met, Dusk dove onto the bed and ontop of him. He was still on his side, but Dusk had him pinned with his body, and soon his forelegs wrapped around Blitz’s neck and pulled his head closer still. The unicorn frantically ran his hooved over the back of his head as he pulled Blitz deeper into the kiss. It was almost painful how hard Dusk mashing his lips against his. Lips pressed firmly together, tongues probing one another’s mouths, and saliva swapping in a fury of passion; it was almost like he was possessed.

Suddenly, it came to an end. Dusk pulled back, panting heavily. His eyes locked onto Blitz’s, demanding more from his lover. Blitz only stared back, breathing heavily himself. Each felt the warm breath of their partner caressing their muzzle.

He swallowed the mixture of their saliva left in his mouth before biting his lip. He felt his face erupt in fire once more, ignited by his lover’s carnal gaze. A familiar fog started drifting over his mind, only dulling his senses. His body was burning up and his member felt painfully stiff against the bedsheets.

“You’re so beautiful,” Dusk whispered in a lust-drenched tone. His hoof moved through Blitz’s mane, stroking the side of his head softly.

“You’re really trying to piss me off tonight.” Blitz furrowed his brow slightly. Without realizing it, he puffed out his cheeks a bit. “I thought this was supposed to be a reward.”

“You like the bit of teasing.” Dusk gently rubbed the tip of his nose against Blitz’s. The gesture caused Blitz to relax in Dusk’s grasp. “Besides, it’s true,” he added in a low tone.

“Damn it, I’m in the clothes, I’ve got the hair, and I’m already rock hard. Are you going to fuck me or what?” Blitz shook free of his lovers grasp and quickly shifted his eyes away from Dusk.

With a small laugh, Dusk moved his muzzle into the crook of Blitz’s neck. “Have a bit of patience.” He placed his lips to his lover’s fur and inhaled his scent. He let out a low moan as the scent filled his nostrils. “You were flying on the way home, weren’t you.”

“Yeah…” Blitz closed his eyes. Despite a disgruntled look, he shifted his head to give Dusk more access to his neck.

“I can tell. You smell like autumn air mixed with a bit of sweat.”

Blitz laid his head on their pillow. “You’re weird,” he grumbled, quietly. His skin tingled as Dusk softly kissed him. The fleeting caress of his lips was enough to make his body beg for me.

Dusk swiftly obliged. He slid down further, placing a kiss on his lover’s shoulder and then on his chest. A small moan of pleasure coaxed Dusk further, kissing his Blitz’s side. As he moved down, his body turned to lay parallel with Blitz. After pausing for a moment with his lips on his lover’s fur, basking in his delightful scent, he shifted down further still, finding his coltfriend’s cutie mark staring him in the face. He placed his muzzle on the cloud and nuzzled softly into the satin-like fur.

Blitz groaned, shifting his hind legs to catch Dusk’s attention. “Are you just going to keep teasing me?”

After a listless sigh, Dusk placed a kiss on Blitz’s haunch. With his lips still on his lover’s skin, his eyes drifted Blitz. He pulled back and a smirk came across his face. “I thought about it.”

“You’re such a jerk…” Blitz furrowed his brow at him.

“You like it.” Dusk placed his hoof softly on Blitz’s haunch. He stared down at his lover’s cutie mark, idly stroking his sculpted body. After a moment, his eyes moved lower, finding a stiff pink shaft pressed against Blitz’s belly.

Dusk licked his lips as he moved his muzzle down to the delectable treat between his lover’s hind legs. The heavy scent clashed with that on Blitz’s fur. It was stiflingly thick, the sure sign of desire. Tentatively, he stuck out his tongue and placed it on Blitz’s sensitive flesh. His coltfriend shuddered as the warm wet of his tongue made contact with his shaft. Pain-stakingly slow, Dusk licked along the length from above the medial ring down towards the base. Each moment his tongue was in contact, Blitz squirmed.

Soon, he felt a nudge at his own hind legs. Dusk looked back as he the first lick to see Blitz pressing his muzzle against Dusk’s sheath. Dusk let out a condescending laugh. “Don’t you dare,” Dusk smirked with a sultry gaze. “This is part of your reward, so don’t worry about me.”

“B-but—”

With his hoof, he pushed Blitz onto his back. The pegasus didn’t fight back, but still had a pleading look on his face. Dusk brought his muzzle mere inches from his lover’s dick, almost close enough that Blitz would feel his fur’s teasing touch against him. “I know you want to return the favor, but don’t rush it. I’ll have my fun tonight, but for now, we’re focusing on you.”

A pained groan came from Blitz without him realizing it. “Sounds great and all, but this ain’t going to work,” he muttered before trying to rolling back onto his side. “This stupid saddle’s digging into my back.”

Dusk brought his hoof to his chin as a worrisome look spread across his face. Blitz defenseless on his back and squirming was a sight to behold, but the saddle did make that a bit difficult. For a moment, he almost regretted putting it on him so soon, but the answer to their predicament was obvious. A devious smile came across his face as he stared at his coltfriend’s erect cock before him. “Well, since you can’t lay on your back, how about you get up?” He raised an eyebrow as he shifted his eyes to Blitz’s face.

He shrugged. “I guess.”

“Good.” Dusk gave a firm pat to Blitz’s haunch.

The bed shifted from Blitz standing up. He got on his hind legs, but just as he was about to get up on his forelegs, he noticed Dusk was still sitting. He gave a half frown. If Dusk wasn’t moving, then he was already in position. So, Blitz stayed kneeled on his forelegs. “You just going to sit there?”

“Essentially.” With a smirk, Dusk slid his head under Blitz’s belly.

The pegasus soon felt the steamy mist of his lover’s breath mere inches from his sensitive flesh. The previously wet streak Dusk left along his length felt the chill of his breath while the rest was basked in its warmth.

A familiar sensation graced him shortly after. His head was engulfed in a slippery wet abyss that shifted around him. He hind legs tensed from Dusk’s mouth wrapping around him. His tongue lovingly caressed Blitz’s sensitive member, carefully and considerately coating it in copious amounts of saliva. He couldn’t help but let out a soft, high-pitched moan.

“Fuck, why do I always sound so girly when you do stuff to me?” he asked, without expecting an answer. A wet pop and a cold chill soon graced his senses.

“Because I bring out the cutest side of you,” Dusk said with a smug tone.

“Watch it, dork. You’re at perfect kicking level,” Blitz teased.

“You wouldn’t dare.” Dusk wrapped his lips around Blitz’s cock one more. But rather than just run his tongue along the head, he pushed himself further along the shaft, backing ever so often only to dive deeper.

Blitz let out a long, satisfied sigh as more and more of his length was being swallowed into Dusk’s waiting maw. The tightness of his mouth, the delightful warmth, his coltfriend’s gentle suckling that only pulled him in more, the loving ministrations of his tongue, it all felt like heaven. He could let himself sink deeper and deeper and never grow tired of Dusk’s skill.

Soon, he felt his lover’s lips pressed at his medial ring. He fought every urge to buck his hips forward. “That’d be dumb,” he thought. He knew better than to do that. Dusk never liked Blitz showing dominance in the bedroom. If he bucked, this amazing feeling around his cock would come to an end, leaving him out in the cold—in more way than one.

He wanted to push his ring in; he wanted to be as deep inside Dusk’s mouth as he could. Blitz was panting with need just imagining himself hilted inside his lover’s muzzle. But, he held strong, not thrusting, though it was utter torture. Dusk paused at his ring, bobbing back and forth gently, but never taking it inside. He was content to leaving Blitz in agony. Blitz let out a whimper. “P-please, Dusk!”

At that, he opened wide and moved past the ring. Blitz let out a sigh of relief, practically collapsing face first onto the pillow.”You’re a bastard.”

Dusk pulled off Blitz’s dick for a moment. His horn lit up, enveloping Blit’z twitching member in a purple ring. The glowing mass shifted up and down the length of his cock, making him hump ever so slightly. “You seem to misunderstand.” Dusk gave the head a few loving licks before continuing. “We’re not here to rush to an orgasm. We’re taking out time and enjoying this. It’s part of your reward after all.”

Blitz groaned into the pillow he had buried his muzzle into. “I know, but it feels so good. I just want to cum.”

Dusk rolled his tongue over Blitz’s urethra, licking a building drop of pre. He let the salty taste sit on his tongue for a moment, savoring the flavor of his lover. “Well, bear with it. I want tonight to be special since you agreed to dress up so sexily.”

Soon, Blitz felt Dusk’s magic vanish from his sensitive flesh. The warm embrace of his lover’s lips wrapped around him once more. His whole body shuddered as his length disappeared into Dusk’s muzzle in one, swift gulp. He let out a soft, feminine moan as Dusk’s lips met his crotch. The quivering, delightful warmth didn’t last long. He was left panting as Dusk pulled back, leaving just Blitz’s head between his lips.

A loud gasp slipped past his mouth as Dusk dove back down. He gently sucked his length in, caressing him with his tongue the whole way. He had just barely begun, and Blitz already felt like he was going to blow inside Dusk’s mouth. The slippery hot abyss devoured him, milking him until he would finally fall over the edge into orgasmic bliss.

Blitz’s eyes drifted closed and soon he was whimpering again. He knew it was coming. His hind legs went stiff and a familiar sensation welled up in his loins. A slightful tingle started to shoot through his entire body. But, just as he was about to finally know release, he was only met with ice.

His eyes shot opened. The heavenly warmth around his dick was gone and only the cool night air was left. “Why did you stop?” He stood up with his forelegs and looked back at Dusk. It felt like he was just had his heart ripped out in betrayal with how close he was to release.

Dusk had a proud, condescending grin on his face. “Get off the bed and put your forelegs on it,” he commanded.

“Seriously, what the hell, Dusk!” He glared.

Dusk climbed off the bed. He stretched his back and gave a sultry gaze back to Blitz. “I told you, we’re taking our time tonight. I can’t have you cumming just yet, Rainbow.”

He felt his jaw fell slack at what Dusk had just said. “You’re joking, right? Usually we go like two or three rounds! What’s the big deal if I cum now!”

“Well, remember when I said there was a little something extra when I grew your mane? I weaved in an extra spell. It combines your orgasmic potential by extending your refractory period resulting in an exponential increase in—”

“Losing me,” Blitz said as he hopped off the bed with a bored look.

Dusk rolled his eyes. “I cast a spell that makes it so you have one big orgasm instead of a few in a night. The fact that you felt like you were close meant you would have been spent after that.”

“Wait, so I can only cum once tonight? Don’t you have a spell that let’s us keep going though? That endurance spell or whatever?”

“It’s not recommended to use with this one. You might damage something…” He hissed and glanced at the floor for a moment. “Permanently damage something, that is.”

Blitz blinked absently for a moment before simply saying, “Oh.”

“So, we have to make it count, tonight.” With the lecture over, Dusk’s eyes narrowed slightly and a sly grin came across his face. “And I thought you might enjoy it if your stallion mounted you,” he said in a lustful tone as he stepped towards Blitz. He brought his hoof to his lover’s face, gently stroking his cheek. “You would like that, wouldn’t you?”

Blitz looked down at the ground and gave a single, small nod in response. His face felt like it was on fire, but he still pressed softly into Dusk’s hoof, accepting the small show of affection.

The unicorn lowered his hoof. “Then brace yourself against the bed,” he said as he stepped slightly closer. “My beautiful mare,” he whispered into Blitz’s ear.

Blitz’s ears perked up and his eyes went wide. He swallowed nervously before turning towards the bed. After all these weeks with Dusk—all the crazy sex and fetishes—he could still make Blitz blush by just calling him his mare.

He climbed onto the bed with his forelegs and pressed his chest down onto the sheets. The cool night air seeped into his fur as it stood on end, waiting for his lover’s touch. Soon, he felt it. Dusk’s hoof ran along his side, just after the saddle’s strap. A shiver moved down his spine.

Soon, he felt Dusk’s muzzle brush against his haunch before a small kiss was placed. “You look so cute in this outfit,” he said amorously. Blitz shifted anxiously from the subtle caress of Dusk against him, quietly begging for him to move on. It wasn’t long until his desire was granted. He felt his lover’s weight press down on top of him as he mounted.

The stallion pushed Blitz down into the mattress as he buried his muzzle in his neck. “I just can’t get enough of you sometimes,” he said with a longing sigh.

“I thought I told you to stop teasing, damn it! Just fuck me already!”

Dusk placed his hoof on Blitz’s, pushing it down hard into the mattress. “I told you were were taking is slow tonight. Don’t tell me what to do. Just relax and let me handle it, okay?” His tone was firm, but soft spoken. The tone alone spoke volumes. There was no room for discussion, Dusk was in charge.

Blitz nodded softly. Soon, the pressure on his hoof was gone, and the gentle brush of his lover’s muzzle against his neck continued.

After a moment enjoying his mare’s sweet aroma, Dusk stepped forward with his hind legs. His dick was already hard and ready for the main event. Dusk moaned as he pushed his member forward.

A sudden prod a bit lower than Blitz expected made the crossdressing colt blush even more furiously. “That was my balls,” he muttered in an embarrassed tone.

“Yeah, I know.” Dusk thrust slowly, slipping down further. His dick sat below Blitz’s with his mare’s balls resting on top of his shaft. Dusk smiled to himself as he playfully thrust, but just slightly. The slick fabric of his lover’s stockings teased his length with a most subtle of touch as they were barely within reach.

“Dusk!” Blitz whined, shifting his tail and smacking Dusk in the side.

“I’m just enjoying these adorable clothes. It’d be a shame to not appreciate such beauty, right?”

Blitz gave a meek groan. Blitz closed his legs slightly, giving Dusk a tighter hole to trust into. The feeling of his stallion’s hot cock just below his own made his heart flutter. He felt Dusk’s thick, throbbing stallionhood poking his own with each little prod. Below his balls, it felt like an inferno as each movement dragged his sack along for the ride.

Dusk shooshed him. “I know you want to move on, but if I stuck it in right away, you’d cum too quickly.” He gave another playful thrust. This time, he kept his dick in as far as he could. His lover’s own dick twitched in anticipation just above his, only deepening his grin. “Or do you think you’re ready?”

“Yes!” Blitz whined. He looked back to see Dusk smiling, enjoying every moment of his agony. Blitz couldn’t help but furrow his brow. “Damn it, I need it, Dusk!”

“I suppose you do deserve it for being such a good girl today.” Dusk looked off towards the nightstand next to the bed. His horn lit up, and the drawer opened. Out floated a bottle engulfed in a purple cloud. The bottle made its way over to them, where Dusk then stood up on his hind legs.

It wasn’t long before he heard the bottle open. Blitz’s body went stiff for a moment when he felt the cool, slick gel first grace his puckered entrance. Once the initial shock was passed, he relaxed both his stance and his hole. He felt Dusk’s magic spread him, and the cool gel slipping inside his body. He bit his lip as the slickness was spread through him, preparing him for his lover’s thick cock.

Blitz glanced back, smirking at Dusk as he did. “Stick it in already.”

Dusk pulled his dick out from between Blitz’s hind legs and pressed the head of his cock to his lover’s now slick entrance. He let out a low, soft moan as he pushed forward.

Blitz hissed as his tight passage was slowly spread open by the invader. While he wasn’t a stranger to this sensation at this point, he was finding it hard to relax. Because of his depression, they hadn’t been having sex at all, which left him tighter than usual. He bit his lower lip and focused on letting his ass loosen enough for his lover to finally enter.

With a swift pop, Blitz gasped. In an instant, he felt Dusk’s cock head slid inside him, holding his entrance open. His hole immediately clenched around the intruder, but it couldn’t push him out. Blitz took a deep breath and silently told himself to relax.

“You’re really squeezing me tonight,” Dusk remarked as he wrapped a foreleg around Blitz’s chest.

“It’s been over a week, so it’s feeling a little tight.”

Dusk frowned and rubbed his muzzle just behind Blitz’s ear. “I didn’t warm you up with magic much, sorry,” he whispered.

“It’s not hurting, just...you feels really thick tonight.” His face exploded in heat.

“Well, I am really turned on. Maybe it’s not your ass, it’s how sexy you are, hm?” He placed a small kiss right behind Blitz’s ear.

Blitz pushed back, forcing Dusk in deeper. He inhaled sharply as more slid in effortlessly until his lover’s medial ring pressed at his entrance. He glanced back over his shoulder. “Shut up and fuck me, already.”

Dusk narrowed his eyes and a smirk came across his face. Without so much as a word, he pulled his foreleg from around his lover’s chest and pressed him down into the mattress. “You want it that bad?”

The pegasus let out a loud moan as Dusk pushed against his ass. He nodded enthusiastically as he felt his tight ring slowly giving to his stallion’s cock. Deep inside, a pressure started to build. Dusk’s thick cock was pressed against his prostate, throbbing with intense heat. It was a sensation Blitz missed dearly.

A hoof soon found its way onto the base of his neck and shoved him down deeper into the pillowy surface. “Tell me you want it.”

“I do!” Blitz replied with a feminine moan after he finished. The high-pitched, lust-fueled whine would have made him cover his mouth if he had any sense left, but at this point, his body was begging for Dusk. He needed to feel his stallion’s thick cock filling him. “I want you to fuck me, Dusk…” he barely managed to say between pants.

It was like music to Dusk’s ears. The lustful panting, the girly moans, his mare begging, it forced a pleased smile on his face. “You’re being such a good girl tonight, Rainbow.” He gave a small thrust with his hips.

Suddenly, Blitz felt it push inside him. His eyes went wide for a moment when Dusk’s medial ring finally made its way inside his ass. He felt wonderfully stretched as the final barrier to completely being filled with his coltfriend’s cock was finally down. It wasn’t long before that dream became a reality too.

Dusk wasted no time and hilting himself inside his mare’s ass. The intense heat and tightness of his lover’s slick passage was an utter delight he had sorely missed for the past week or so. The constriction around him squeezed rhythmically with Blitz’s breathing, urging Dusk to continue. He stared down at Blitz who was looking back at him.

When their eyes met, he saw a meekness in the pegasus’s gaze that only he had managed to bring out. A submissive aura that pleaded to be teased and dominated—a perfect match for his own nature. Dusk slowly pulled his hoof from his lover’s neck and placed it on the bed. “I love you, Rainbow.”

Blitz nodded softly.

That was all Dusk needed. He pulled his length nearly entirely out of Blitz’s ass before slamming back onto him. Blitz’s body shuddered as the shock of their hips meeting rippled through him, eliciting another loud, feminine moan. But he didn’t even pause to enjoy it. As much as he wanted to enjoy this sight to its fullest, he was past the point of containing his own desire. Teasing Blitz, sucking him, and toying with him after had taken all his willpower to not completely indulge in his lover. His own lust was begging for release as much as Blitz was.

Blitz couldn’t stop himself from moaning with each thrust. The feeling of his entire body being emptied and then filled over and over was too intense. Each movement rubbed that thick, throbbing cock against his prostate, putting him closer and closer to the edge. Every time he was filled, it was as if Dusk’s dick was pushing his cum out, inch by painful inch.

The burning hot sensations from his ass and dick rippled through his entire being, moving up his body and into his head. It wouldn’t be long now. He could already feel the white haze that he had been teased with earlier descending once more. His own cock throbbed, trapped between his stomach and the bed. Every time Dusk slammed into him, he felt his dick slide across the smooth sheets—Dusk’s saliva and his own pre keeping it somewhat moist.

“I’m going to cum, Rainbow!” Dusk said with a grunt as he hammered into Blitz.

“Me too!” Blitz cried out. With one final slam into his ass, he felt, deep inside, his insides being spread further. Dusk’s dick flared inside him and soon, the surge of cum flowed into him. A gloriously gooey heat filled his insides the next moment, sending a mind-numbing pleasure through Blitz’s whole body.

His dick throbbed as soon as that heat hit him, and it tipped him over the edge. As his lover filled him with his seed, Blitz shot his own load onto the bed below him. In an instant, his limbs went wonderfully numb, making him collapse onto the bed. A radiating tingle shot out from his loins, flooding every nerve in his body until it completely overwhelmed him. The entire world faded into a thick white haze around him until all he was left with was his orgasm flooding his senses.

What felt like hours passed of an endless sea of bliss. Adrift amongst the pleasure, unable to form even the most basic thoughts. But, the delightful tingling was coming to an end. The numbness in his limbs was fading, and he heard a voice calling to him.

Blitz shook his head, realizing he was laying on the bed properly now with Dusk behind him. The tight binding from the saddle was gone, but he yet feel the stockings gripping his legs. He moved his muzzle, finding a pool of drool on the pillow his head was on. “What?” he asked, confused. “How long as I out?”

Dusk chuckled as his hoof idly stroked Blitz’s stomach. “Only about five minutes.”

“Five minutes? Are you kidding?” He tried to sit up, but his body didn’t move. “The hell? I can’t move my legs.”

“Yeah, and that’s why we can’t do this anymore than once for tonight.” Dusk chuckled again. He brought his muzzle into the crook of Blitz’s neck. “I hope you enjoyed it.”

Blitz took a deep breath. “Yeah…” he said. Just thinking back on it, sent a residual tingle through his limbs. “That was probably the best orgasm I’d ever had.”

“So, you liked your reward then?” Dusk’s ear perked up.

Blitz let out a sigh and smirked. “Yeah, I guess I can ignore the whole dress up thing since it payed off.”

Dusk let out a content moan as he let his eyes drift closed. “Good, because I’m planning an even better one for when you are fully out of the closet.”

The pegasus rolled his eyes. “I just came out to our friends and you’re already planning that? Can’t I get a break here?”

Dusk shrugged. “No rush. I’m just planning something even more special is all.”

“No dresses,” Blitz muttered. His coltfriend stayed silent for a moment, only making Blitz glare. “I’m serious.”

“Fine,” Dusk replied, a slight sulk to his tone.

“So, you were planning a dress?”

Dusk was silent again.

“You know what? If it’s a reward, how about you let me do something? I mean tonight was great, but a reward is usually something I would want to do. This was all your fantasy.”

There was a low hum as Dusk placed his hoof to his chin. He kept his head against Blitz’s neck as he contemplated, but he did open his eyes. “Something you want, hm?”

“Yeah.”

A smile came across Dusk’s face. “So, what would you want?”

This time, Blitz was the quiet one. He hadn’t really thought about it. Dusk was pretty great after they had been dating. He was caring, if a bit oblivious at times, reassuring, and outside of the bedroom, was pretty relaxed as long as Blitz didn’t move anything out of its proper place. Nothing really came to mind as for what he would want for a reward.

After laying there for a moment in silence, Blitz was feeling was starting to come back in his limbs, so he managed to shrug. “I don’t know. Maybe a date?”

Dusk shook his head. “Too mundane. We’ll do that anytime once you’re out, so I want it to be special.”

“I’ve got no clue.”

“You want to be on top for once?”

Blitz blinked absently for a moment. “Wait, what?” He raised his head just enough to see Dusk out of the corner of his eye. “You…would let me top?” he raised a skeptical eyebrow. It hadn’t really occurred to Blitz, mostly because he was perfectly happy with their sex life, but now that he was thinking about it, he had never actually been inside Dusk. His ear twitched as the thought blossomed in his brain. Questions soon sprung to mind. What would it feel like? Does Dusk like it up the butt? What kind of face does he make? Does he make cute noises too?

Dusk smirked. “Interested?”

His face flushed red for a moment. “I mean…I guess…” he said, feigning disinterest.

“Alright then. Once you’re out of the closet to the whole town, I’ll show you something interesting.”

“You’re going to let me fuck you?”

Dusk gave a half shrug. “Wouldn’t be much of a surprise if I ruined it now, would it?”

Blitz nodded. “I guess not.” He took a deep breath and let his body relax. After the day and evening they had, he was more than ready for a good night's sleep.

Freedom

To Be His Mare: Acceptance

Chapter 4: Freedom

Blitz shook off a small chill creeping its way up his spine. The autumn air had been slowly getting colder as of late, and being out in the open outskirts of Ponyville there was nothing to stop that chill from creeping in. Instinctively, he fluffed his feathers and squeezed his wings tightly to his body in an effort to warm himself. He nestled down into the large red and white checkered blanket he found himself on, pressing his muzzle into the cottony softness. Silently, he looked up at the sky and hoped the late autumn sun would warm him some.

Yet, as cold as it was—and as miserable as he would have been on such a chilly day—he couldn’t let his mood sour. A brush of warmth at his side grew more intense as he felt someone press their body against his. A smile formed on his face as he looked up up from the top of his eyes. Dusk leaned against him, cozying up to Blitz.

“Are you cold?” he asked, softly.

“I’m fine.”

“Good, because I brought some extra special sweets today!” Berry dropped a basket in the middle of the blanket. His face boasted a huge smile as he wiped his forehead.

“Well, I suppose late is better than never,” Elusive examined his hoof as he lay on the blanket. He glanced next to him to Butterscotch with a small smirk. “Scotch was close to fainting from hunger, so it’s a good thing you came.”

Butterscotch’s face lit up red. “I’m not that—” He as cut off my a rumble from his stomach. “I-I skipped breakfast today…” he corrected in a tiny voice.

Elusive laughed slightly. “Don’t be embarrassed,” he said with half-closed eyes. He ran his eyes over Butterscotch for a moment before shifting them to Berry. “Now, all we’re waiting on is Applejack.”

“No, ya aren’t.” Suddenly, a bucket of apples flew into the center of the group of friends, landing squarely next to the picnic basket Berry had brought without losing a single apple. They all glanced up behind Elusive to see the farmer boasting a confident grin. “Just had a few things to finish up before headin’ here. Sorry I’m late.”

Dusk shook his head. “You aren’t late. It’s just an informal get together so—”

“Don’t encourage his tardy behavior, Dusk.” Elusive’s eyes shifted from Dusk to Applejack. “I cleared my schedule, so I don’t believe it’s too much to ask you to at least be on time.” Elusive turned his nose up.

Applejack tipped his hat up and scratched his cheek. “Stuck up as ever, I see,” he said with a chuckle.

Dusk frowned. “Please don’t fight you two.”

“I ain’t.” Applejack shrugged. “If Lucy’s got a bug up his butt ‘cause he’s a little hungry, it ain’t no skin off my bones.” He took a seat next to Berry and Butterscotch, completing the circle around the blanket. “Just can’t leave the farm whenever I want, ya know.”

Once everyone was situated, Elusive levitated an apple into the air. He rolled his neck towards Applejack and gave him a deadpan expression before he passed the apple to Butterscotch. “For your information, I certainly don’t ‘have a bug up my butt’ as you so elegantly put it, but am slightly annoyed.”

His demeanor only made Applejack chuckle some more. “Oh, please, go on, Lucy.” A condescending smirk plastered on his face as he stared at the tailor unflinching.

“I was more concerned for our friends’ well-being than my own.” His eyes shifted to Dusk and Butterscotch, both with frowns clearly visible on their faces. He sighed. “But, I shan’t let the small detail of your lack of punctuality ruin the afternoon.”

“T-thanks,” Butterscotch took the apple in his hoof. “Though, please don’t fight just because I was a bit hungry…”

Blitz rolled his eyes. “We going to eat or what? As cute as it is to watch you two bitch like a couple of fillies in school, I’d rather we eat.”

“Oh, speakin’ of…” A stifled snicker drew his eyes to Applejack. He glared slightly when he noticed him hiding his mouth behind his hoof. But, he wasn’t the only one holding in some laughter. Next to him, Berry’s eyes were glued on Blitz, and he was also barely containing himself behind his hoof.

He clenched his jaw and rolled his eyes. With his hoof, he brushed some of the dangling mess of rainbow-colored mane from his face. “Go ahead, get it out of your system…”

They both snorted. “The hell happened to your mane, Blitz?”

His face lit up bright red. “I-it was an accident, damn it! My barber’s out of town for the week, so I’m stuck with it for a few more days!”

Dusk looked off to the side and scratched his cheek. “He tested a spell for me.” Dusk felt his own face light up from the small lie. He knew Blitz wouldn’t forgive him easily if he told the truth here, and it might raise some awkward questions if he did.

“Jerk…” Blitz muttered.

He half-frowned. “I’ve apologized already—many times.”

“And I’m still stuck with it.”

“Well, if it’s any consolation, I don’t think it looks bad on you,” Butterscotch said after he swallowed a bite of his apple.

In the blink of an eye, Berry reached into the picnic basket and pulled free an apple fritter. “It looks kinda girly, but you pull it off,” he added once his laughing subsided.

Blitz’s eyes narrowed further. “Shut up.”

“Oh, don’t be like that, Blitz.” Elusive waved his hoof dismissively and let out a small chuckle. “A long mane is like a blank canvas to a stylist. The possibilities are endless.” His eyes lit up for a brief moment, almost giving away his excitement. ”I could take a crack at it if you would allow me.”

“Back off. I don’t need those curlicues you got.” He crossed his forelegs.

Elusive’s usual politely pleasant smile turned condescending. “Please, as if you could pull off my style.”

“I actually prefer the messy look he has now,” Dusk said before taking a bite of fritter. “And it looks very cute when it’s long.” Everyone looked to him as silence settled over the group. He shifted his gaze between his friends, curiosity showing in his eyes. “What?”

A sly smile grew on both Elusive and Applejack’s faces. “So, how did Blitz end up like that again?” Applejack rest his head against his hoof as he leaned in towards Dusk.

Dusk’s face flashed red. “An accident…”

“Of course.” Elusive raised his eyesbrows. He turned to Butterscotch and smirked. “Well, enough prodding into their love life—”

“It was an accident!” Blitz corrected.

“Yes, yes, we believe you.” Elusive waved his hoof dismissively again, though this time he didn’t take his attention from Butterscotch. “So, how are you preparations for winter going?”

Dusk placed his foreleg over Blitz’s back and pulled his in close. “Sorry,” he whispered.

“Make it up to me by grabbing me a fritter,” he said as he rest his head against Dusk’s. His request was soon granted when a fritter appeared in front of his muzzle. the sweet, greasy aroma filled his lungs and making his mouth water in anticipation. He felt Dusk lean into him and rub his cheek against his mane. Blitz just smiled as he took a bite of the fritter hovering just in front of him. “Alright, I guess I can forgive you,” he muttered between chews.

Despite the teasing from his friends, he knew it was just that. After all, they had already moved on. Blitz heard Butterscotch and Elusive chatting away next to him, Berry and Applejack were busy stuffing their faces, Dusk was staring up at the clouds, content—everything was about as normal as it ever was. Any teasing from his friends was the same teasing he would have gotten whether he had come out or not. His heart felt at easy just basking in the fact that they didn’t seem to mind. Hell, he was more upset about how he thought they’d respond to his mane than their actual reactions.

Nothing’s changed after they found out,” he thought, his smile widened as he did.

“So, Blitz,” Applejack said in the midst of chewing a bite of fritter. “Ya ain’t out to everypony yet, are ya?” He raised an eyebrow at the pegasus.

“No way. It took me forever to get the guts to tell you guys.” Blitz shook his head with a chuckle.

Berry joined Blitz’s chuckling. “That’s funny,” he added with a snort.

“What”?” Blitz tilted his head slightly, disturbing Dusk’s in the process.

Applejack swallowed his food and cleared his throat. “What Berry’s gettin’ at is, for not bein’ too keen about ponies knowin’ ya swing that way, y’all don’t seem too shy about the PDA.”

It took a moment for the gears in his head to turn as to what Applejack was getting at. A few possibilities as to what ‘PDA’ meant ran through his mind before it hit him—hard. Blitz’s face turned bright red and his heart seized. Immediately, he snapped his head to see if anyone was around but them. With no one to either side, Blitz glanced up at the sky. He stared up into the bright blue for a few tense moments to see the still blue and lazily drifting clouds above.

Once assured of the absence of any pegasus ponies above, he relaxed, but still lowered his head in shame. “T-there’s a reason we had the picnic way out here…” he said softly.

“So you two could get all cosy next to each other?” Berry teased with another snort.

“No!” Blitz snapped as he placed his muzzle on the blanket. “So what if we—”

“Blitz, we ain’t gettin’ on ya about it.” Applejack gave a sympathetic look. “I was just askin’ is all since y’all are pretty smitten right now. I thought ya might’ve changed your mind.”

“We didn’t seem to mind too much,” Buterscotch added. “I mean, I don’t think we did.” His eyes scanned his friends faces to be sure.

Blitz sighed and closed his eyes. “I’m just not ready, guys.” The quivering in his heart after the scare slowly faded. When he opened his eyes, his friends all had supportive smiles. He felt his coltfriend place his foreleg around his back, pulling him in tight. Blitz smiled himself. “But you guys have been awesome.”

“Well, duh. You’re still our friend.” Berry brushed off the notion with a wave of his hoof. “It’s not like we were going to stop being friends because you like Dusk.”

“Quite right,” Elusive added. He glanced up towards the sky for a moment. “Oh, look at the time. I don’t mean to be rude, but It’s getting a little later than I had planned. I’m sure we’re not all free today, I do have some work yet to finish this evening.”

“Eeyup, let’s finish this grub so we can pack it in.” Applejack accented his words with a bite of his apple. “Don’t stress about it, Blitz. Ain’t no rush,” he added while chewing.

“Manners,” Elusive casually reminded.

Applejack only rolled his eyes.

While his friends proceeded to waste their time arguing, Blitz looked down at the checkered blanket. They accepted his when he came out, in fact, they weren’t even surprised by it. If his friends were so accepting, perhaps that meant that maybe the ponies of this town wouldn’t hate him for liking colts. Even Applejack, the pony Blitz thought would have the biggest issue didn’t bat an eye at him being gay.

Maybe I could just tell ponies like I did with them. Maybe they won’t care…

“Barb!” Dusk called out as soon as he opened the library door. He stepped inside, a brown paper bag held aloft in his magic. A small groan drew his attention to the couch where Barb was lying on her belly. She had a bag of chips within arm’s reach and her nose buried in a magazine—probably a gossip rag. Dusk glanced back at Blitz who was still standing in the doorway and shook his head.

“So, you’re just going to spoil your appetite?” he asked with a small smirk.

She waved in his direction, barely listening to what he even said.

“Well, since you didn’t want to come to our little outing, I thought I would be nice and bring you something home. But, if you’ve already eaten…” Dusk raised an eyebrow at Blitz, causing him to snicker.

She finally pulled her attention from her magazine to see the two stallions holding back a laugh. “What’s so funny?” She puffed her cheeks out instinctively, sensing she was the butt of a joke.

Dusk shook his head again before noticing Blitz motion towards Barb. “Well, we brought you an apple fritter from the picnic.”

She raised an eyebrow herself, though her interest was clearly piqued. “So? That’s not that special.”

Dusk feigned shock for a brief moment. “Didn’t you know? These fritters are pretty famous in the area.” He teased by opening the bag and bringing out the tasty treat, waving band and forth, almost hypnotically as to tempt her. “A combination of Apple family secrets and Cake expertise. Sugarcube Corner only makes them in the fall and Berry painstakingly made them special for us. But, now I see you’re eating some potato—”

All it took was a single wiff of the air to pull Barb off the couch. She rushed over in an instant and snatched the fritter before Dusk even finished his sentence. “I’ve still got room!”

He furrowed his brow and yanked the fritter from Barb’s claws. He coughed to clear his throat before taking a step towards her. “No need to get greedy Ms. Grabby Claws.”

She frowned.

Dusk lowered the fritter for Barb to take. “You’re lucky Elusive mentioned it and Berry saved you one. Next time you’ll have to come along if you want one, okay?”

Barb looked to the side. “I didn’t want to hang out with a bunch of dumb boys talking about boy stuff.”

His expression softened and he placed his hoof on the little dragon’s shoulder. “Because boys are so dumb, right?” Dusk let out a laugh. “Well, I don’t blame you. I didn’t want to hang out with my sister’s friends when I was young either.”

Her eyelids half-closed and she puffed out her cheeks. “Then don’t scold me about it…”

Dusk’s ears fell flat. Immediately his eyebrows furrowed again as his eyes shifted to Blitz. His coltfriend was barely holding back a laugh which only made Dusk roll his eyes. “You know what?” he asked turning his head back to Barb. “I hear those are really great when they’re warm. So, why don’t you warm it up and put a bit of butter and cinnamon on it. Doesn’t that sound good?” He looked down at her with a deadpan expression.

She stared up at him for a moment before shrugging her shoulders. “Sure, sounds good.” She tucked the fritter under her arm and triumphantly trotted off into the kitchen, leaving Dusk and Blitz alone in the living room.

Once she was out of sight, Dusk sighed. “Well, now that she’s gone, we can finally talk.” He turned to Blitz with a serious look in his eyes and a small frown resting on his lips.

He raised an eyebrow. “We needed to talk?”

Dusk raised his eyebrow back. “Do we?”

Blitz’s eyes shifted to either side before stopping at Dusk. His brow furrowed as he took a step forward. As he moved, his ear twitched slightly. “Knock it off.” He forced a laugh, playing this as a joke, but when he saw Dusk not backing down, he stopped.

“I’m serious,” Dusk stated, firmly.

“Well then, tell me what’s up instead of playing games.” His ears fell flat.

“You’ve been quiet since the picnic, so I was wondering if you’re feeling okay.”

Blitz waved his hoof dismissively. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. I talked, we had a good time.” He shrugged after he finished, taking a step towards Dusk.

“You stopped after everyone was settled in. The walk home you were silent too.”

A frown formed on his face. “I mean…” he trailed off, letting his eyes fall to the floor for a second. With a short shake of his head, he pulled his focus back up to his partner. “It’s nothing, Dusk.”

“It doesn’t seem like nothing…”

The pegasus took a deep breath. “You know, you can be a pain in the flank sometimes.” He walked up to Dusk. Before Dusk was even able to react, he placed his cheek against his lover’s and gently nuzzled into his neck. “You prod too much. Sometimes I just want to keep things to myself, you know?”

Sometimes those things build up—”

“This isn’t one of those things,” Blitz said flatly. He let out a small groan before pulling his head back from Dusk. “I’ve just been thinking, that’s all. Like, about being open…”

Dusk was silent for a moment before he tilted his head. “With everypony you mean?”

Blitz nodded. He bit his lip, letting it slowly slip past his teeth before saying, “Do you think I should?”

Dusk’s frown shifted into a small smile. His eyes were warm and comforting. “Rainbow, I would love it if you did.” He placed his hoof on Blitz’s shoulder. “But,” his smile faltered just a bit, “I’m not going to tell you if you should or shouldn’t. It’s your decision and you need to make it when you’re ready.”

Blitz bit his lower lip again, this time holding it. His eyes shifted around the room. After he felt his nerves calm enough, he looked Dusk in the eyes once more. “I mean, our friends were cool with it, maybe everypony else will be too?”

Dusk closed his eyes and sighed.

“I’m just thinking that since AJ, Berry, and Butters didn’t flip, maybe no one else would…” His eyes fell back to the floor.

“Being optimistic is good. It’s a nice change of pace from how mopy you’ve been the past few weeks.” Dusk stepped closer and moved his foreleg from Blitz’s shoulder around his neck and pulled him in for a hug. As he wrapped his forelegs around Blitz, he sat down and squeezed his lover tightly. “But, are you sure you want to tell the world?”

Blitz rest his head against Dusk’s and put his foreleg around him as well. Those words hung in his mind for a moment. It had been the question that had been in his mind since Applejack pointed out how open they were. It was the question he was scared to answer. Blitz took a deep breath and let the words come out on their own. “Maybe not…I’m just—”

“I know.” Dusk pressed his cheek into his lover’s head rubbing softly.

Blitz clenched his jaw. “It’s not fair,” he added softly.

“Don’t rush it. You can tell them we’re you’re ready. Don’t feel like you have to tell ponies for me.”

“I really do want to tell ponies…” Blitz stopped himself. His heart sank in his chest as his words sat on the tip of his tongue. Since their friends found out, he felt a burden lifted from him. Outside at the picnic today, he didn’t have a care in the world. No one cared if he and Dusk were cuddling or being close. It felt good—it felt right. But the thought of others knowing sent a jolt of fear right up his spine. How would he even do it? Hand out fliers? Tell random strangers? “Do we even have to say? Could we just…not care?” Blitz asked, timidly.

He let out a short laugh and squeezed Blitz a little tighter. “That’s not the question though, is it? Could you not care?”

Blitz was silent for a moment. Images flashed as he tried to picture himself in public with Dusk; standing next to him, kissing him, going on dates—his heart sank lower. He already imagined their stares on him, rumors starting to fly, comments made. He couldn’t handle that. Ponies respected him and he was the epitome of cool in Ponyville. If he came out as gay, that would all disappear. “I guess not…” His heart sank to new depths as the words softly left his lips.

His jaw clenched. It wasn’t fair. He shouldn’t give a damn what others thought of him—that was a part of being cool. Who were they to judge him for who he liked? What business was it of theirs? Blitz pinched his eyes closed. As much as it shouldn’t matter, and as much as he wished otherwise, he still cared.

Dusk loosened his grip and pulled back from the hug. He let his hooves fall down onto Blitz’s forelegs before stopping them. With a gentle smile, he reassuringly rubbed his coltfriend’s legs. “Don’t worry about it, okay? Just take your time.”

Once his lover’s kind words hit his ears, Blitz opened his eyes. Dusk’s warm smile lifted his heart up. The pegasus slowly nodded and pushed his frustration to the back of his mind. With it stowed away, he took a deep breath. As he exhaled, Blitz put on a smile of his own. “Yeah, I mean, I told our friends. That’s who matters, right? The town’ll figure it out when I want them to.”

Dusk nodded. With a firm pat, he let go of his lover. “Right. ” He stood up and started heading upstairs. But, before he reached the first step, he stopped and turned his head back towards Blitz. “Oh, are you spending the night tonight?”

He blinked absently before shrugging. “I planned on it. Why, you planning something in the bedroom?”

Dusk rolled his eyes playfully. “I was thinking more about dinner tonight, but that could be an option.” A seductive grin came across his face as he stared at his coltfriend with a half-lidded gaze. Blitz returned the look before.

With a sultry smirk, Blitz starting to move towards him. “Why not now? I’m sure you could find something for Barb to do, giving us a bit of private time. Unless you really have something to read or—” Before Blitz finished, Dusk held up his hoof to stop him from advancing.

His snapped his attention to the couch that Barb had been laying on. Once he noticed the scattering of magazines and the bag of potato chips still sitting there, Dusk furrowed his brow. Crumbs and clutter, two things that irked him more than anything—and Barb knew better than to leave it like that. “Barb! Can you clean up this mess?”

A groan echoed from the kitchen, causing Dusk to roll his eyes. “When you’re done.” When he looked back, he noticed Blitz’s ears were flat and a deadpan expression on his face. He cracked an apologetic smile. “M-maybe we had best save it for tonight…”

------------------------------

The sound of birds chirping was usually a pleasant sound. Living in a tree, Dusk was accustomed to their sweet songs coaxing him from his slumber on a lazy morning. Today, however, did not seem to be one of those days. His eyes cracked open to the glare of the early morning sun shining in through his window.

They reflexively closed on him, causing him to roll onto his opposite side away from the stinging glare. As he rolled, his foreleg fell upon a warm mass sleeping soundly under his blanket. He cracked a smile and wrapped his foreleg around his sleeping coltfriend and snuggled up close. His eyes hung just barely open for a brief moment, mentally debating if he should go back to sleep or lay in bliss with his partner for a few moments longer before getting up for the day. Blitz nestling into his chest had put an end to that debate.

Dusk sighed and buried his muzzle into his lover’s mane. The thick scent of sweat from the previous night’s activities still hung on his scalp. His heart fluttered from the warm aroma filling his lungs. Once full, he let the air out in a slow, listless sigh. “Such a wonderful, relaxing morning after a beautiful picnic yesterday. It’s been a great couple of days.

He stared off into space, simply basking in the moment for a short while before his eyes shifted to the clock on the night stand. It was already seven thirty, well past the time Dusk and Blitz usually got up on days he had work. Dusk smiled and rubbed his muzzle into his lover’s mane once more. He knew he should get up, but the soreness in his muscles after their night together beckoned Dusk back to be lazy. Slowly, his eyes drifted closed, ready to return to a delightful sleep, even for just a few more minutes. “Good thing it’s the weekend,” he said softly to not wake his bedmate.

But, just as he was settling back to sleep, Dusk scrunched his muzzle. His brain was rousing from its usual early morning daze to a startling realization. “Yesterday hadn’t been the end of the week, which meant today wasn’t the weekend.” His mental gears continued to turn, though he wished they hadn’t. “I’m pretty sure it’s the middle of the week, which means Rainbow has work today.” His eyes shot opened and immediately focused back on the alarm clock.

Sure enough, the face read a little past seven thirty. His heart froze. The sun being up and the chirping of the birds—he shouldn’t be lazily enjoying this. Dusk jumped out of bed and shook Blitz awake. “Rainbow, wake up! I forgot to set the alarm last night!” he said, panic filling his voice.

Blitz’s eyes opened, though barely registering what was happening. “What?” he asked, struggling to sound somewhat aware.

Dusk yanked the blanket off of him and gave him a firm gaze. “I forgot to set the alarm last night. You have fifteen minutes to get to work!”

The groggy pegasus shook his head. The words took a moment, but finally sunk in. His eyes nearly popped out of his skull. “You serious?”

“I’m sorry,” Dusk apologized. “But, if you hop in the shower and—”

“I don’t have time for a shower!” Blitz pulled himself off the bed though his hind legs remained tangled in the blanket. Unable to catch himself on all fours, he tumbled onto the floor with a loud thud. “I’ve got to worry about ponies seeing me leave your house!”

Dusk took a deep breath. “It’s still pretty early. It won’t be that noticeable.” His horn lit up, hoisting Blitz into the air and tugging the blanket free from his hind legs. Once unfettered, he set his coltfriend down squarely on all fours. “Just relax and don’t act like it’s a big deal, okay?”

Blitz placed a hoof to his forehead, rubbing gently. “It is a big deal!”

Dusk help up his hoof to calm Blitz down. “Look, if anypony asks why you’re leaving my house, just tell them you spent the night. It got late and you crashed here. Does that sound like a good excuse?”

He opened his mouth to respond but stopped himself. He didn’t have time to argue. After he pinched his eyes closed in an effort to force himself to wake up, he glanced at the clock. The time immediately made him wince. “Damnit, I’m really going to be late,” he muttered to himself. After a second of starting at the time, Blitz took a deep breath and looked back to Dusk. “No point in flipping out, I guess. Kinda have to deal with the consequences now.” Blitz walked up to Dusk and planted a quick kiss on his cheek. “I need to get going. See you after I get off.”

After the quick peck to the cheek, Blitz rushed out of the room and down the stairs. Dusk didn’t even have a chance to say goodbye before he was out of sight. He waited for the sound of the front door to slam closed and sighed. “I hope he’ll be okay…”

“And I hope one of these days he spends the night I’ll actually get some sleep…” An irritated and distinctly feminine voice pulled Dusk’s attention to the other side of the room. Barb lay in her basket with half closed eyes and a displeased look plastered on her face.

Dusk forced a smile. “S-sorry, Barb.”

“Always something with you guys, geez,” she muttered as she rolled over onto her side.

Once the dragon was returning to sleep, Dusk looked back to the empty stairwell. Something ominous tugged at his heart. “I can’t believe I forgot to set the alarm last night. And with how he was acting yesterday, I’m worried he’s going to snap if somepony notices. He’s had a taste of freedom with our friends and Rainbow being as hotheaded as he is…I guess I can just hope he doesn’t do anything rash…

------------------------------

“Damnit,” Blitz muttered to himself as he stepped outside the library. The sun was already climbing into the morning sky, and with its rise the town came to life. Even in the quiet part of town where the library was situated, ponies were opening their windows to greet the day and a few were already venturing out.

Blitz took a deep breath of the brisk morning air before giving a powerful flap of his wings. In an instant he was off into the sky with nothing but a rainbow trail behind him. As he flew away, he scanned the surrounding area, finding the few ponies about paying no mind to what was happening above. He breathed a sigh of relief since they were none the wiser that he had been at Dusk’s. He felt a smile crack on his face and slowed to a more leisurely pace. His heart even began to relax now that he was off to work—even if he was late, he already dodged a bigger bullet.

Then a voice called out his name, making his heart stop dead in his chest. “Hey, Blitz!” he heard from behind. He glanced back to see Thunderlane gaining on him, waving his hoof.

“H-hey, what’s up?” he replied, offering a nervous smile. It was probably the last thing he needed, bumping into a co-worker. After all, he was barely awake and only running on adrenaline from the shock of being woken up so suddenly—and the shock itself had already put him in a bad mood as it was.

“Nothing much.” Thunderlane sped up just enough to catch up to Blitz. After he was at his side, he match Blitz’s pace. “You ready for today?”

Blitz raised an eyebrow, but remained silent.

“Oh, I guess you did bail early yesterday.” He chuckled to himself.

“I didn’t bail! I had other stuff to do!” Blitz clenched his jaw, immediately wanting to kick himself for lashing out. He noticed Thunderlane was flying a bit further away after he snapped at him. “Sorry, it’s, uh, been a rough morning…”

He stared at Blitz for a moment before nodding. “Well, uh, since you missed the announcement, we got a huge shipment of clouds in and we’ve got to have the sky covered by the end of the week.”

Blitz’s jaw dropped. “You serious?” Blitz let out a loud, drawn out groan. “We have to have that all done today?”

“Nah.” Thunderlane wave his hoof. “We’re scheduled for partly cloudy today to split up the work. Shouldn’t be too bad, but still a lot to do.” His eyes narrowed and a smirk came across his face. “Unless you’re not feeling up to it, Blitz.”

Before he spit out another trite rebuttal, Blitz clenched his jaw again. Mentally, he told himself it was just a joke and to not take it seriously. He took a deep breath and forced a smirk on his face as well. “Yeah, right. I could fly circles around you.” After he finished, he forced out a laugh. Despite being annoyed from his early The panic from before was gone, now he was just casually talking to a co-worker without a care. Thunderlane hadn’t noticed where he was coming from.

“Say, what’re you doing out this way anyway?” Thunderlane asked, suddenly. “I mean, don’t you live on the opposite end of town?” He had a puzzled look on his face as he glanced around at the surrounding houses..

Blitz’s heart seized again. He forced a laugh. “Y-yeah, I was just…Uh…”

“You were coming from the library, right?” Thunderlane replied for him, making Blitz’ heart seize one more. “You’ve been hanging out there a lot.”

“Yeah.” Blitz scoffed, putting on an air of confidence. “I had to drop off a book to my friend Dusk. It was overdue and I kinda fell asleep early last night.” He gave another awkward smile to cover up his lie. At least, they always felt awkward—mostly because they were forced. No one ever caught on he was lying.

Thunderlane nodded after a second, though remained skeptical. “I guess that makes sense. You just kinda of look like hell today—like you just woke up.”

“I did.” Blitz took a breath and looked ahead. “Look, we’d better get going or we’re going to be late.”

“Yeah, I guess.”

Blitz let out the breath he had taken slowly. “Today’s going to suck, I just know it…

As the morning went on, Blitz was feeling more confident in that sentiment. He wiped his brow as his eyes drifted out to the sky over Ponyville. A few large blankets of grey clouds dotted the view, but something tugged his attention away from his accomplishments. His gaze shifted next to him, finding a huge pile of clouds still in need of a home. He cringed.

His eyes weighed heavy from the lack of sleep, and just looking at that pile made his muscles ache. His back and legs were already sore—not that the previous night hadn’t done a number on them already. As that thought hung over his mind for a moment, he felt the phantom caress of his coltfriend on his fur. A small comfort and enough to make Blitz smirk. He stretched his neck to shake off the exhaustion and sore muscles. With a practical mountain of clouds left to move, he didn’t have time to daydream.

“Hey, Blitz!” A voice called to him just as he was about to return to work. He glanced up to see Thunderlane gracing him for the second time that morning. Shortly behind him was Silverwing, looking a bit worried.

Probably lady troubles again.” He took a deep breath. After he exhaled, he looked up and gave a tired smile. He raised a hoof to greet them. “What’s up?”

“You got a minute?” Thunderlane asked after he came closer, stopping in front of Blitz.

“We’re kind of busy today, aren’t we? You guys really have time to chat?”

“This is more important than the job,” Silver said, coming to a stop next to Thunderlane.

“Dude, if you’re having trouble with your marefriend again, it can wait.”

Thunderlane and Silver both shook their heads.

“It’s not that.” Thunderlane looked to Silver before turning a nervous glance back to Blitz. “You know, a lot of us on the team look up to you, Blitz. So we care about you, dude…”

Blitz blinked absently for a moment as he stared at Thunderlane. “What’s going on?” His eyes shifted from the two pegasus hovering in front of him. Both had concerned looks on their faces, which only deepened Blitz curiosity.

Silver cleared his throat. “We’ve been talking and we wanted to ask you something.” There was a short pause as Silver and Thunderlane both stared at one another for a moment before Silver continued. “You feeling okay, Blitz?”

He raised an eyebrow at the question, looking the two before him in the face once again. Their unchanging expressions offered nothing new.

With no response from Blitz, Silver clarified, “I mean, you’ve been skipping out on work early, and then you’ve been pretty distant the past few weeks…Things going okay?”

Blitz’s heart skipped a beat. “T-things are fine.”

“Come on, Blitz.” Thunderlane rolled his eyes. “You’re exhausted all the time, moody, and you look like hell.”

“I do not!”

Silver spoke up. “You kinda do, dude. The past month or so something’s changed. You don’t style your mane like you used to—”

“You came to work one day and it was like twice as long!” Thunderlane waved his hoof frantically.

Silver glared at him before picking up where he left off. “—your voice is higher, it’s like you’ve got your head in the clouds. You’ve got no drive anymore! What happened to the guy who used to get the whole weather team pumped up? The guy who used to race to get the job done? What happened to him?”

“You guys are crazy.” Blitz waved his hoof dismissively. “I’m still that guy, I’ve just been…”

“What?” Thunderlane raised his eyebrow. “Spending all your time at the library?”

Blitz rubbed the back of his head with his hoof. “I don’t spend that much time there. I’m friends with the guy who lives there and we do read stuff sometimes. It’s not a big deal to see me over at his—”

“That’s not what I mean!” Thunderlane interrupted, his brow furrowing as he spoke. “You can drop the act, Blitz. I’ve got myself a routine of getting up early to get some exercise before work, you know. While flying, I’ve seen you sneaking out of the library super early. I didn’t think much of it at first, but when I saw you in that end of town a few mornings a week, something’s got to be up.”

Blitz’s heart felt like it was struggling to keep up. Each beat was a chore in itself. “I’ve crashed there a few times…”

“A few.” Thunderlane scoffed and then moved closer to Blitz. He poked his hoof into his chest. “Dude, you’re hiding something from us. I didn’t say anything on the way to work, but you look like you just woke up, you smell like you haven’t showered, and—”

“If I didn’t know any better, I’d say you were seeing a mare. I’ve seen plenty of guys change when they get in a relationship.” Silver kept his distance, but furrowed his brow as he looked at Blitz with an accusatory gaze.

“They don’t usually get so girly though.” Thunderlane looked from Silver back to Blitz.

Blitz’s eyes went wide at that word. He opened his mouth to say something, but he noticed Thunderlane moving back after he spoke, almost as if realizing he crossed a line. As he moved back, Blitz closed his mouth and looked off to the side. “So what?” he asked between gritted teeth.

“We’re just worried about you. If you’re dating somepony, that’s cool, but we only ever see you at Dusk’s. If I didn’t know any better, it sounds like you’re…You know?”

Somehow through it all, Blitz’s heart managed to catch up. Even more so, it felt like it was making up for slacking off before. Each passing second his heart raced faster and faster. Others had noticed. He wanted to hit something—a cloud, a tree, Thunderlane’s face, anything to not feel like this. Inside, he felt it reaching a boiling point. Yesterday with Dusk, his rude awakening, bumping into Thunderlane, his shitty job, and now this. Blitz couldn’t take it anymore. “No, I don’t have to take it!

“It’s Blitz we’re talking about. He wouldn’t—” Silver was interrupted as he spoke to Thunderlane.

Blitz pinched his eyes closed and felt his foreleg begin to shake. “I’m fucking him alright? Is that what you wanted to hear?”

Both pegasus’s eyes went wide after a moment of it sinking in.

“Yeah, I said it! I’m fucking Dusk! We’re gay, I’m a coltcuddling faggot, I’m taking it up the ass from him, alright? And you know what? I don’t give a shit what you guys have to say about it!” Blitz opened his eyes and glared at them. His blood was racing, but at the same time, he felt all that tension release. He simply stared at them, breathing for a moment before glancing back at his work.

“Fuck it,” he muttered. “I’m taking off for the day.” He turned to leave. But, before he did, he felt the need to say one last thing. “Oh, and if you guys have a problem with me being gay, just remember that this faggot’s still fucked more mares than you.”

Blitz left them in the dust with a powerful flap of his wings. Soon only a rainbow streak trailing off was all that left hanging in the distance.

------------------------------

Dusk let out a soft sigh as he strolled down the stairs in the library, a book levitating just in front of him. As he reached the bottom step, he closed the book and set it down on a table. He glanced up at the clock ticking listlessly. His brow furrowed and he turned his gaze to the window.

Clouds were dotting the sky above, dimming the early afternoon sun. With a half frown, Dusk sighed again. “I hope Rainbow’s—”

He was interrupted by the front door swinging open. The sudden intrusion on his musings made him jump slightly. He opened his mouth to berate whoever startled him so, only to see Blitz standing in the doorway. Upon seeing his coltfriend’s face, Dusk realized scolding him probably wasn’t the best course of action to take. Blitz radiated anger from his eyes and his teeth were firmly clenched. They locked eyes for a moment, which softened Blitz’s gaze slightly.

Blitz kicked the front door closed with his hind leg. In a rainbow-colored blur, he immediately dashed at Dusk. They collided heavily, almost knocking the wind out of the unicorn and sending the two tumbling onto the floor. As they fell, Blitz wrapped his forelegs around him and squeezed Dusk tightly. He buried his muzzle into his lover’s chest as they came to rest on the ground, Blitz laying atop of Dusk—the latter utterly confused.

“W-what’s the matter?” Dusk asked, somehow managing to catch some of his breath. He brought a hoof to Blitz’s back and patted him gently.

“I’m pissed off, alright? I just need this for a sec…”

Time passed by, counted only by the ticks of the clock as the two lay on the floor. Dusk continued to idly stroked Blitz’s back, just listening to the hypnotic ticking and his lover’s breathing. Seconds turned to minutes without a word said between them. It wasn’t until Blitz finally looked up at Dusk, resting his muzzle on the unicorn’s chest that he spoke.

“Today sucked…” he muttered, his brow still furrowed in anger.

Dusk gave a sympathetic look as he moved his hoof from Blitz’s back to his neck. “I take it something bad happened?” He continued to gently pet him.

“Yeah,” Blitz sighed with a sigh. His eyes shifted to the side. “Thunderlane bumped into me as I left this morning.”

“You work with him, right?”

Blitz nodded. “Anyway, he and one of my other co-workers jumped me today and started asking questions.“ As he spoke, Blitz felt his jaw muscles growing tighter and tighter until he was talking through his teeth. When he realized that, he took a deep breath. “I flipped on them,” he added, closing his eyes.

“You didn’t hurt them, did you?” Dusk’s eyes widened slightly.

“No, I just went off on them. I’m sick of it. I shouldn’t have to hide it, and I’m done!” He pinched his eyes closed tightly. His jaw tightened once more and he squeezed Dusk closer. “I’m fucking done hiding it! Our friends know, so I shouldn’t care!”

As hard as it was, Dusk was only able to offer a half-smile. He slowly petted Blitz’s mane, noticing the pegasus relax in his embrace after a few, tender strokes. “Are you upset because they know?”

Blitz sat still, unmoving.

Dusk sighed. After a few seconds of silence, he felt Blitz relax even more. He rubbed his muzzle into Dusk’s chest, his eyes loosening their tight pinch. It was as he feared, Blitz blowing up at work, but the result wasn’t quite what he expected. Blitz didn’t seem upset over ponies finding out, but more that he was pushed to that point. In a way, it was comforting to see that he had come so far. “Well, I’m sure word will spread.”

“Yeah,” Blitz muttered, plainly.

“Are you worried?”

“I guess…” he replied, still holding the same indifference. He slowly opened his eyes. Now that his emotions had run their course, all that was left was the exhaustion he felt from earlier creeping back into his body. He stared into Dusk’s eyes with a lazy sort of expression. “I’m more pissed at myself then them…”

“So, you told somepony outside your circle of friends.” Dusk looked up to the ceiling. “I guess this means you’re out.”

Blitz blinked absently. “I guess it does.”

“I believe that means I had better start preparing something.” He started to smile.

“No dresses. I’m not in the mood for that shit tonight. And I’m not in the mood for Berry, so no parties either.”

Dusk continued to smirk as he stared up at the ceiling. “Of course not. I’ve got something better planned.”

Blitz took a deep breath, letting his eyes drift closed. Halfway through his deep breath turned into a yawn. As he exhaled he pressed his muzzle down into Dusk’s chest and snuggled into it. “You do that. Since I ditched work, I’m going to catch a nap.”

The unicorn’s smirk vanished in an instant. “Shouldn’t you go talk to your boss or something?”

Blitz shrugged. “No, I’m still too pissed to go back.” He shifted his head to lay on its side. “Besides, not like they’ll fire me. I might get a warning, but they won’t can me over leaving early.”

Dusk frowned. “If you say so.”

“It’s fine, Dusk. Now, let me sleep some of this anger off.”

It took a few moments for Dusk to realize that they were laying there, on the library floor. Blitz was cozied on his chest, still hugging him, and his own hoof still on Blitz’s neck, gently petting his lover. If anyone were to walk in, it’d certainly be a sight, but that wasn’t what Dusk found worrisome. “You’re not using me as your bed for the afternoon…” he said plainly.

------------------------------

After a few hours, the soft ticking of the clock and the occasional snores of a sleeping pegasus were the only noises in the library. It left Dusk with a relatively quiet afternoon to continue his reading. He lay on the rug in the living room, a book in front of him and a barely touched cup of tea sitting to the side. Barb was with Elusive, thus leaving the two of them alone, and Dusk with his thoughts while Blitz slept.

Dusk glanced up at Blitz, seeing him contently snoozing on the sofa. He furrowed his brow at the sight. While not unpleasant to see his coltfriend resting peacefully, the earlier bombshell left him uneasy. It wasn’t a dent to Blitz’s reputation he was worried about, but with how Blitz handled the situation, Dusk feared there would be lasting effects on Blitz’s relationships with his co-workers, or even his job.

He looked back down at his book, realizing he was at the end of the chapter, but couldn’t recall any of its contents. Dusk pinched his eyes closed and levitated the cup of tea to his lips. It was already ice cold, but that barely registered. “What’s he going to do if he loses his job because he went off on his co-workers and left early? What if they start treating him poorly?

Once he swallowed the cold tea, Dusk inhaled sharply. It was pointless to stress over, and he was aware of that. He wasn’t like Blitz who could live in the moment. He just wasn’t the type to not think about his lover’s wellbeing and fear for him. Then there was how well Blitz was taking it. Finally, he sighed. “We’ll just have to wait and see how things play out,” he muttered under his breath.

Just then, a knock came from the door. Dusk raised an eyebrow at the noise. Slowly he got on his hooves, levitating his cup onto a table as he did. He made his way to the door and opened it. Much to his surprise, it was a group of pegasi, a few of which Dusk recalled seeing around town on occasion—mostly stallions and a few mares.

He forced on a smile to greet them, but inside he was cautious. “Can I help you?” Before they even said anything, he already had an idea where this conversation was heading. His eyes shifted to the couch for a brief moment, finding Blitz still passed out.

A pony with a dark grey coat cleared his throat, pulling Dusk’s attention back to the doorway. “Is, uh, Blitz here?”

Dusk looked the stallion over carefully. His eyes weren’t quite meeting Dusk’s, instead choosing to stay either to the side of at his chest. His head was hung a little lower than it should have been, and his ears were back slightly. Then there were the creases in his forehead and angle of his eyes that sealed it.

Inside, Dusk felt his heart relax, almost breathing a slight sigh of relief. But, instead, he simply nodded. “He’s sleeping at the moment. If you would like, I can give him a message.”

“I’d rather tell him in person. Can you tell him Thunderlane’s here?”

Dusk scanned the group once more, noticing the same look on at least one other face. The rest seemed stoic, but respectful. He nodded again. “Wait one moment.”

He partially closed the door and walked over to the couch. Once there, he placed a hoof on Blitz’s shoulder and gave a soft nudge. “Rainbow?” he asked softly.

“Hm?” Blitz cracked open a single eye.

“There’s some ponies here to see you.”

Blitz closed his eye and rolled them behind his eyelids. He took a deep breath and stretched his legs and neck. “The guys from work?” he asked mid stretch. When he stopped he let out a sigh. “Tell ‘em to go away. If they want to get pissed at me, they can do it tomorrow.”

“I don’t think that’s why they’re here.” Dusk looked back towards the door.

Blitz cracked his eye opened once more. He raised an eyebrow and followed Dusk’s gaze towards the door. “What, are they here to fire me then?”

“Why don’t you go see what they want.”

He let out a reluctant groan, but forced himself up. “Fine…”

Once on his feet, he felt Dusk give him a reassuring pat on his back. Blitz rolled his eyes. The two of them made their way to the door with Blitz keeping a stoic facade. Dusk stopped just out of view, letting Blitz handle the situation himself.

Blitz swung open the door quickly, maintaining the same dull look. He was met with his co-workers, Thunderlane at the front and Silver just behind. The rest of the weather team was also there, but looking distinctly less worried than the two at the front. He took a slow, deep breath. “What do you guys want?”

“Cut right to the point, huh?” muttered one of the mares from the team. Thunderlane shot a small glare back at her, which she simply shrugged off. “You’re the ones who pissed him off.”

Thunderlane looked back at Blitz. “About earlier today—”

“You guys come to kick me off the team or something?”

Silver shook his head. “No, we came to say we’re sorry.”

“Sorry?” Blitz raised an eyebrow. “You’re not here to kick me off the team for being a fag or something?” He let out a dry laugh.

Thunderlane spoke up. “We don’t care if you’re gay.” His eyes shifted to the side for a moment before bouncing back to Blitz.

Blitz dropped his disinterested facade, letting his eyes widen for a second. “You don’t?”

“No.” Thunderlane shook his head. “You’re one of the coolest guys I know. We only got on you today because of how you’ve been acting lately. I mean, this morning you looked like hell, dude. And with you skipping out early on work too, we’ve been worried about you…”

“I haven’t.” The mare spoke up again.

“Shut up, Cloudchaser,” Silver snapped at her.

She rolled her eyes. “I told you guys Blitz’d tell us when he’s ready and you guys went to talk to him anyway. It’s all your fault he flipped.”

Seeing them argue brought a small grin to Blitz’s face. “So, none of you care?” he asked after a brief pause came.

The group turned their attention back to Blitz. “Not really,” Cloudchaser said. The rest nodded in agreement.

“If you’re gay, who cares, right? What you do is your own business, but we were just wanted to make sure things were going okay.” Silver added. This time the nods that followed the sentiment were accompanied by sounds of agreement.

Cloudchaser brought her hoof to the back of her head, and let out a nervous laugh. “Though It does explain a few things from before…”

Blitz raised an eyebrow. “What do you mean?”

“Nothing!” She blushed. “It’s not important, forget I said anything!”

Thunderlane cleared his throat to bring the conversation back. “We don’t care if you’re gay, Blitz. So, what do you say? You forgive us?”

He stared at Thunderlane for a moment. The telltale signs of doubt were still present on his face. Blitz’s narrowed his eyes and his smile widened into the confident smirk he was known for. After a second, he stuck out a hoof. “Yeah, we’re cool.” With a sigh of relief, Thunderlane bumped his hoof with his own. “And sorry about bailing on work today too, guys.”

“Just make sure you show up tomorrow, okay?” Silver replied.

He nodded. “Yeah, I’ll be there.”

“Bright and early," Cloudchaser teased. "We had to cover for you today. We might need a free meal to make up for it.” She smirked at him as she turned her back.

“I got it, geez.” Blitz rolled his eyes, annoyance growing in his voice. “See you all tomorrow.”

With a final wave, each member of the weather team left and went their own ways, leaving Blitz standing in the doorway. As they faded from view, he let out a soft sigh. He felt a sense of warmth next to him as Dusk stepped to his side. “Well, that worked out surprisingly well.”

Blitz let out a chuckle as he closed the door. “I know, right?” He shook his head as he turned to return to the couch. “I should’ve gone off on them weeks ago.”

------------------------------

With a thud, Blitz hit the mattress. The cramped bed felt delightfully inviting as he sunk into the plush surface. He rolled onto his back, leaving just enough space for Dusk to join him. “I’m glad today’s over…” he muttered.

Dusk gingerly climbed into the bed and lay on his back. Once comfortable, he used his magic to bring the blanket over them. “Says the pony who skipped out on work to take a nap,” Dusk teased. He looked at Blitz from the corner of his eye and gave a smirk.

“Okay, goodnight, guys,” Barb said loudly, her voice radiating irritation. She rolled over onto her side, tightening her grip on her blanket as she did. “I don’t need to hear you two flirting all night, so keep it down,” she added just loud enough for them to hear.

Dusk rolled his eyes. “Goodnight, Barb. I’ll put up a soundproof barrier around you so you don’t have to listen to us flirt, okay?”

“Whatever.” She closed her eyes and went silent.

Soon a purple glow appeared around her basket. “Now, where were we?”

“You being a jerk.”

Dusk chuckled softly to himself. “Oh, you like it when I tease you.” He turned on his side so he was facing Blitz. Then, he wrapped his forelegs around him and pulled him into a hug. His lover accepted the embrace, shifting so his muzzle was resting against Dusk‘s chest. “It’s not like it wasn’t true, either.”

“Little simplified.” Blitz rubbed his muzzle into Dusk’s fur. “But, since some other ponies know about us, and Barb can’t hear us, I think you owe me something…”

The corners of Dusk’s mouth turned up as he placed his muzzle on top of Blitz’s head. “Oh? Are you expecting your reward already? You know, good things come to those who wait.”

“Shut up.” Blitz pushed himself from Dusk’s embrace and sat up. He stared down at Dusk’s face, still boasting that smirk. he smiled himself as he climbed on top of Dusk. “I had a rough day after I woke up, okay? I need something to take my mind off it.”

Dusk shrugged. “And here you’re going to waste your surprise.” He let out a string of short tisks as he shook his head.

Once he didn’t get a reaction from Blitz however, he stopped. Dusk found himself staring into Blitz’s focused and determined eyes with a half-lidded gaze. His heart was racing with excitement, both for Blitz and a little extra fun. He took a deep breath and made a weak attempt at a sulking facade. “Fine.”

His lover leaned down, a victorious grin on his face. “So, what was it? You were talking about letting me top.”

Dusk gave him a quick peck on the nose before he grabbed Blitz. with a mixture of magic and muscle, Dusk topped the pegasus and rolled over him over onto his back, effectively pinning him to the mattress.

Blitz’s eyes went wide as he found himself under Dusk. “Come on! I was looking forward to topping.”

Dusk sat up and placed his hoof on Blitz’s chest. He looked down at him from his nose with a condescending smirk. “I never made such a promise.” He laughed to himself with a pleased look in his eye.

Blitz wasn’t so thrilled. He furrowed his brow and scowled. “Seriously? Why did you lead me on then?”

Still smirking, Dusk raised a hoof and playfully bopped Blitz on the nose. “Hush.” He lovingly ran his hoof along Blitz’s cheek, tracing along his neck, and down onto his chest once more. “Trust me, you’ll love it tonight.” he whispered as he stared down at his lover’s wonderfully tight chest.

His scowl did loosen, but he still felt a bit deceived. “Just tell me already…”

As Dusk traced circles into Blitz’s fur, he occasionally looked up from his ministrations to meet his coltfriend’s glare. “I thought about what we should do. It should be special and something that’s just as enjoyable for you as it is for me.” Blitz nodded, following along with what he said. “So, what I decided upon is that I’m going to introduce you to the wondrous world of having a power bottom.”

“A power bottom?” His glare vanish, replaced with a raised eyebrow in its wake.

Dusk nodded, stopping his hoof in its tracks. “It’s been awhile for me, but I think we can both get what we want here.” He shifted his butt, rubbing it against Blitz’s sheath. Immediately, he felt the cock hiding inside stiffen in response.

Blitz’s eyes widened for a moment. “So, you’re going to let me fuck you tonight?”

“Not quite. Just leave everything to me.” Dusk sat up completely straight, forcing his puckered entrance down onto the opening on Blitz’s sheath. He felt the head of his coltfriend’s cock springing forth from its home and rubbing against his hole. He let out a low moan. “I haven’t taken somepony’s dick in a long time, so we’re going to have to take this slow.”

Blitz placed his hoof on Dusk’s cutie mark, gently tracing small circles as he let his lover rub along his growing length. His dick was almost completely free from his sheath, and Dusk had moved so it was no longer pressing against his entrance. Now, pinning his dick between his body and Dusk’s, the unicorn carefully shifted his ass along Blitz’s cock with care. The warmth of his body and his weight expertly coaxed Blitz to full mast.

He let out a low, satisfied groan. He glanced down his barrel to see his cock’s head poking out from under Dusk’s balls, watching them rhythmically dragged along his shaft. Just above the sight, he noticed Dusk’s dick starting to slip free from his own sheath as well. The sight of his coltfriend enjoying some less direct stimulation brought a small smirk to his face.“Go as slow as you want.”

He pressed his hooves into Dusk’s haunches, squeezing him tightly. There was a bit of meat to him, not exactly fat, but he wasn’t trim like Blitz. It was enough for him to get a solid grip.

“Careful now,” Dusk said with a stern voice.

That reminder made Blitz loosen his grip on his coltfriend’s haunches. He gave a nervous laugh and patted Dusk’s cutie mark. “Sorry, just—uh—you’ve got a really nice ass and I don’t get to grab it much.”

“Thanks,” Dusk said with a small laugh in his voice. He glanced down at Blitz’s member, finding it rock hard and already leaking precum from the tip. With a smirk, he lifted himself from Blitz’s crotch, gaining a small whine from his lover as he hooves had to be removed from Dusk’s sides. Once he was up, he laid down with his hind end towards Blitz’s head. He then placed a hoof on his coltfriend’s dick and subtly moved along its length,

“It’s nice to know you appreciate my body, but don’t get too assertive unless you want to see that side of me.” He gave Blitz a sultry glance as he took his lover’s dick in his magic. He pulled the drooling cock over to his mouth and placed his lips on the head.

As soon as Dusk’s lips were on him, Blitz felt the slow, agonizing tingle of Dusk’s tongue slowly rolling over the tip of his cock. The first lap rolled broadly over him, cleaning the budding drop of pre from his urethra before circling around his girth. He inhaled sharply from electric tingle running through his groin. “Fuck, you’re so good at this.”

Dusk parted his lips and gave one slow lick along the tip. “I can’t say I don’t enjoy the look on your face when I suck your dick. Maybe that’s why I’ve been doing it so much lately.” His eyes shifted to Blitz’s, taking in the lust-filled gaze and quivering lip. Keeping his eyes locked on his lover’s, Dusk lowered his mouth down onto Blitz’s cock once more.

Blitz’s head rolled back into the pillow as his member was engulfed in a delightfully slick warmth. His whole body went lax, basking in the sensations of his lover’s ministrations. Each lap of Dusk’s tongue ignited another shock through Blitz, making his hind leg twitch involuntarily. It was sheer bliss.

Dusk took him deeper, foregoing his usual teasing routine and taking Blitz past his medial ring in one go. A sharp gasp from the sudden plunge told him he was doing well. He paused for a moment after Blitz’s medial ring, licking the thicker part of the stallion’s cock thoroughly. He ran his tongue along the ridge, coaxing a small hump from Blitz.

He pulled back, leaving just the head of his lover’s dick in his mouth where he sucked lovingly. The salty but satisfying taste of Blitz’s precum hit his tastebuds drew a lustful groan from Dusk. He dove down once more, this time taking Blitz deeper. Again he paused once he stopped, almost down to Blitz’s hilt to let the pegasus enjoy the warm wetness that was his mouth.

Blitz whined as Dusk continued to torment him. His tongue work and long pauses were too much to handle. It was excruciating how Dusk pushed him closer and closer to orgasm, flooding his body with pleasure in a slow, deliberate way. “Dusk!” Blitz whined.

At that, Dusk slowly, pulled himself from the base of Blitz’s cock. He trailed his tongue along his lover’s sensitive length, leaving him squirming in pleasure. Once he reached the top, he noticed the head of Blitz’s cock was thicker than he remembered. It didn’t take him long to realize Blitz was already starting to flare. He pulled free with a loud, audible pop. “That close, huh?”

“Shit, I almost blew down your throat.” He chuckled

Dusk’s horn sparked with a purple glow, a glow that soon engulfed Blitz’s dick as well. “Well, we’d better fix that.”

Blitz felt his dick go numb for a second. His cock flexed strongly before the sensation came back, leaving him with a puzzled look.

With a pleased smile, Dusk looked to the nightstand. “A little precaution. Can’t have you cumming too soon, so I gave you a bit more stamina.” The drawer opened on it opened and out levitated a bottle of lube. “Now, as I said, it’s been awhile since I’ve had anything up there. That means we’re using plenty of this stuff and we’re going slow.” The bottle squeezed in Dusk’s magical aura, squirting out a jet of clear liquid that was trapped inside his grasp. Some of the cool liquid was used to coat Blitz’s dick while the rest broke free and hovered off behind Dusk.

“We’re really doing this?” Blitz swallowed a growing lump in his throat. His heart was starting to pound in his chest as the realization of what he was about to do started to sink in.

Dusk simply nodded. Shortly after, he twitched as the cool gel came into contact with his tight entrance. Using his magic, he worked the gel onto his puckered hole before spreading it. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath as he worked the lube onto his inner walls while simultaneously stretching his ass for its soon-to-be visitor.

“So, how long’s it been since you’ve done this?” Blitz asked, watching Dusk wince slightly.

“I can’t even remember. The first time was with a guard in the castle. He was really into being the bottom, and it made me curious.”

“So, you let him fuck you?”

Dusk opened his eyes with a deadpan expression. “That’s what that would imply.” He closed his eyes again after another wince. “It was before I really explored my dominant tendencies.”

Blitz nodded. “Did you like it?” He asked, turning his attention to the ceiling.

It took a moment for Dusk to answer. He stared foreword, finding Blitz’s still stiff cock in front of him. “I guess it was alright. I didn’t hate it, but I certainly didn’t enjoy it as much as you seem to.”

The pegasus shrugged as a guilty grin came across his face. “Cock feels good, what can I say.”

“Well, you’re certainly not the biggest I’ve had, but for a pegasus, you’re pretty thick. That’s what counts, right?” Dusk chuckled to himself as he stood up on the bed. He sighed and stepped over Blitz. “I think I’m ready.”

All the movement caught Blitz’s attention and he locked eyes with Dusk. “You sure?” The unicorn only nodded in response. Soon, Blitz felt the familiar warmth and purple glow of Dusk’s magic around his dick. The unicorn lowered his hind end down until Blitz felt the tight pucker of his lover just at the tip of his cock. He swallowed another lump that had formed in his throat in anticipation.

Once lined up, Blitz simply lay there as Dusk carefully leaned back onto him. The flat head of his cock met resistance from the tight passage, but it wouldn’t last. The slick surface and ring met and nothing stopped the invasion.

Dusk took a deep breath once he felt Blitz’s dick pushing its way passed defenses. He was slowly, but surely being spread opened by his lover’s member. It didn’t take long for the entire flare of Blitz’s rock-hard cock to be sitting squarely in his tight entrance. Dusk raised his head and bit his lip as pain radiated through his body.

He sat back more, letting Blitz’s flare slip inside him. After an audible pop, Dusk gasped slightly. His ass clamped down on his coltfriend’s shaft, holding him tightly now that the flare was out of the way. Dusk sighed and looked down to see Blitz’s eyes closed and him panting in bliss.

“That’s way tighter than any mare.” His eyes slowly opened to meet Dusk’s gaze.

The unicorn cracked a devilish smile. He placed his hoof on Blitz’s chest and lowered himself further down onto the girthy rod. A delightful whimper came from the pinned pegasus as he forced his head back into the pillow. “You’re acting like a virgin,” Dusk teased as he squeezed his muscles. His flexing drew another whimper from his lover. “We’ve barely just begun and you already look like you’re on the edge.”

Blitz let out a short laugh. “So, is that what you meant by ‘power bottom’? Your usual teasing while I fuck you?”

“And who’s on his back, pinned?” Dusk flashed a pleased smirk.

“Me,” Blitz admitted as he moved his hooves onto Dusk’s cutie marks. His eyes shifted down to see Dusk’s dick hovering just starting to slip free from his sheath. “But I’d say you’re still enjoying it up the ass.”

Dusk slid down along Blitz’s length, feeding more and more inside his tight passage until he hit it. A thickness stopped his advance onto Blitz’s shaft, his lover’s medial ring. He leaned against it, letting it push and grind against him before backing off it. He pulled himself up almost to Blitz’s flare. Once he felt it tugging from the inside, almost popping free from his confines, Dusk slid down to the medial ring in one swift go.

Blitz was left panting and at Dusk’s mercy. The unicorn leaned forward, feeling his own length stiff between his body and Blitz’s. He lowered his face down to his lover’s, pushing his weight down onto the pegasus’s chest and forcing him into the mattress. “Not as much as you do,” he retorted before placing his lips to Blitz’s.

Pinned under Dusk and lips thrust upon him, Blitz reveled in his lover’s ferocity. He moved his hooves from Dusk’s haunches to his back, holding him tightly as their tongues danced with one another.

But that bliss was cut short. He soon felt his entire length engulfed in his Dusk’s warmth as the unicorn forced himself past his medial ring. Both moaned into one another’s mouth, Blitz in ecstasy and Dusk with a hint of pain.

Once fully impaled on Blitz’s member, Dusk paused for a moment. Their kiss broke, and Dusk sighed. Slowly, he pulled his muzzle away from Blitz’s, leaving the pegasus panting with an almost pained expression from the sensations. Dusk’s hoof trailed off of Blitz’s chest, leaving a brief line traced in his fur before he placed it on the mattress.

“How’s that? Better than before?” He sat up, putting some distance between them. As he stared down at his lover, seeing him enthralled by the pleasure, a sultry smirk formed on his face. “Looks like it.”

“Damn,” Blitz muttered under his breath. He stared up at Dusk, with a pleading gaze.

“I’ll move soon. Just give me a moment to get used to it.” He looked down to see his own cock stiff and pointing right at Blitz’s muzzle. He glanced up to Blitz and subtly motioned to his rock hard dick with a tilt of his head. “Perhaps you could do something in the meantime?”

Blitz looked down his barrel to see the thick rod just out of reach of his muzzle. As he stared, he noticed it flex and twitch, demanding his attention. He closed his eyes and leaned forward enough to feel the tip of Dusk’s dick against his lips. Now that it was in front of him, he was able to inhale his lover’s heavy scent. It filled his lungs and set his body aflame. His own cock throbbed in anticipation.

Dusk let out a low moan as he felt the dick buried inside him twitch. “Eager, are we?”

A low groan of agreement escaped Blitz as he parted his lips. He took the tip inside his mouth and licked around Dusk’s budding flare. It didn’t take long for his effort to be rewarded with a salty drop of precum landing on his tongue as it swirled around Dusk’s cock.

With a pleased sigh, Dusk leaned back further still, forcing Blitz deeper still inside him. He sat perched on Blitz’s hilt, feeling the throbbing dick buried inside his ass, his own nestled between his lover’s lips. Triumphantly, he looked down to see Blitz’s looking up at him with meek eyes as he bobbed lightly along the tip of his cock.

“Here we go,” Dusk said as he pushed himself up. The slick feeling of Blitz’s cock slipping out of him as he rose made his own member twitch. All the pressure he had inside him was vanishing with the dick as it was pulled out.

Blitz’s mouth opened wide around Dusk’s cock as he gasped. As Dusk rose, he felt the cock hovering between his lips pushed deeper inside his open maw, drawing him from his bliss. His eyes shot opened and met Dusk’s gaze.

“Don’t slack, now.” He chuckled between pants.

Blitz gave a slight nod before continuing to suck his lover’s dick. Once Dusk was at the apex of his cock, he lowered himself again. A slow and meticulous descent onto Blitz’s rod accentuated by the unicorn’s walls squeezing and pulling him ever deeper into his confines. The delightfully sweet torture was almost too much for him to bear. The velvety warmth of Dusk’s ass drew him closer and closer to orgasm with each passing second.

His eyes shifted from Dusk’s to his cock. A purple glow appeared around the shaft and began shifting itself around his length, stopping just before the edge of Blitz’s saliva on the onyx flesh. He shifted his gaze back up to Dusk and glared.

“Don’t take it personally. You can’t take the whole thing in this position, so I’m just helping you out.” He laughed as he hilted Blitz again. With his lover’s cock inside him again, he let out a satisfied sigh. “You’re already twitching inside me,” he said before resuming.

His pace was quicker than before. Instead of torturously bobbing along his length, Dusk was bouncing without stopping. He rose past the medial ring before he would thrust his ass back down the shaft. The slapping of their bodies meeting echoed in the dark bedroom mixed with a symphony of moans from both stallions. As the sounds of their lovemaking filled the night, Dusk road his coltfriend’s dick with reckless abandon.

As he slammed down on Blitz’s dick, Dusk felt a familiar sensation welling up inside him. His lover’s cock pressed inside him, his own magic stroking him, and Blitz’s mouth around his head, licking him—he was close. Below, he noticed it was the same for Blitz. It was painted all over his face. With a smirk, he rose again, this time much quicker than before. He paused just before the tip of Blitz’s cock and winced. “Flared already?” Blitz moaned in as he bucked his hips slightly to push himself back inside Dusk.

He paused at the base, narrowing his eyes at Blitz with a smirk hanging on his lips. “Just for that, maybe I should make you wait to cum?” Immediately, Blitz’s eyes went wide and he shook his head.

Dusk chuckled as Blitz’s kept his lips firmly placed around the cock in his mouth. “Fine, I’ll let that slide then. But I still want to hear you beg me.”

Finally Blitz pulled his mouth off Dusk’s cock. “Dusk, please, let me cum!” he begged without hesitation.

With those words, Dusk rolled his head back as a surge of pleasure radiated through his body. “That’s it,” he muttered to himself. “I love that.” As his head circled back around, he locked his eyes onto Blitz’s. “Alright, I’ll let you cum. Where do you want to?”

Blitz bit his lower lip as a pained expression came across his face. “Inside!” he called out, putting his hooves on Dusk’s haunches again, He didn’t make any effort to guide Dusk, but held onto him as if for dear life. His lips parted once more and he placed them around his lover’s cockhead.

He was so close, Dusk slammed down onto Blitz’s rod, grinding against and squeezing him. Blitz had lost control and started bucking his hips feebly. Instead of punishing, Dusk simply allowed it and focused on his magic to bring himself to completion.

It didn’t take long. Soon, he felt the familiar sensation building to a peak inside him. With one final groan of sheer bliss, his mind grew foggy. A wave of pleasure crashed down upon him as he shot his load right into his lover’s waiting mouth. His body twitched and he was vaguely aware of Blitz moaning too.

Not long after his lover squeezed his haunches and cried out, he felt the liquid warmth he had been expecting shoot inside his ass. Dusk leaned forward, pushing his own cock further into Blitz’s mouth as they unloaded into one another.

Then, just as quickly as the pleasure came, Dusk collapsed down onto Blitz. When the bliss began to subside, Dusk heard the sound of his lover swallow his load before gasping for air. The two were left in a panting heap, basking in the afterglow. As he lay on top of his lover, Dusk buried his muzzle into Blitz’s mane and inhaled his sweaty scent.

After a few moments, Dusk felt the stiff cock that he had deep inside him a moment ago was soft and shrinking. Soon, the flaccid but still flared head of Blitz’s dock popped free of his ass. Dusk let out a soft, low moan as a glob of Blitz’s still warm cum trickled free from his confines and dripped down his hind leg.

Blitz moved his hooves from Dusk’s cutie marks to his back and squeezed him tightly. “That…was awesome.”

“Much better reward than the last one?” Dusk ask as he rolled to the side, taking Blitz’s embrace with him. He placed his own foreleg around his lover and cradled him lovingly.

“Totally.”

“I’d beg to differ,” Dusk said with a chuckle.

Blitz rolled his eyes. “Whatever.”

Placing his muzzle atop Blitz’s head, Dusk let out a sigh. “Maybe we can do it again sometime,” he said softly, feeling his eyes grow heavy.

“Really?” Blitz was legitimately surprised. This was the first time he had been allowed to fuck Dusk, and even leading up to this, he wasn’t particularly interested. A smirk came across the pegasus’s face as he moved his hoof down towards Dusk’s ass. “So, you telling me you liked it?”

Though Blitz couldn’t see it, Dusk raised his eyebrows and gave a small shrug. “It wasn’t horrible. Besides, you were really cute when you begged me to let you cum.”

Blitz’s hoof stopped just before reaching Dusk’s butt, pausing on his lower back. He let out a low groan in response. “You always have to be in charge, don’t you…”

Dusk gave a small nod. “Probably because you make it so much fun for me to be in charge.”

Blitz groaned again. He pushed his muzzle into Blitz’s chest. Despite being the cause of his embarrassment, the comfort and affection he received from Dusk was too good to pass up. When he buried himself in Dusk’s embrace, he soon felt his lover’s hoof gently stroking his back between his wings and a loving nuzzle into his mane. Those small gestures never ceased to lift up his spirit.

“Since you don’t have to get up as early as you have been, maybe tomorrow we can do breakfast before work?” Dusk’s eyes, despite his protests, drifted closed.

Blitz shrugged, but before he spoke a yawn slipped out. Soon, his eyes were closed as well, and the gentle numb of a well-deserved sleep was taking hold. “Ask me in the morning,” he managed to get out in the midst of his yawn.

------------------------------

Blitz found himself walking to Sugarcube Corner the next morning. His hair was even more of a mess than it usually was, only accented by the added length. Despite being awake, his eyes stayed nearly closed as he walked with his head hung low, struggling to not drop straight to the ground for another few minutes of sweet rest. As he came to his destination, Blitz let out a long and deep yawn, raising his eyelid enough to glance to his side.

Standing next to him was the polar opposite. Dusk stood, wide eyed, a smile on his face, and shining as bright as the morning sun itself. The sight made Blitz lazily shake his head in disgust. “Today was supposed to be the first day I could sleep in.”

“Funny, because I thought you did.” Dusk looked down at Blitz, that smile of his still beaming. “After all you did get an extra hour.”

“Let’s just get breakfast.” Blitz pinched his eyes shut and raised his head until he was standing straight. He took a deep breath of the cool morning air and forced his eyes opened wide. “And some coffee.”

“Of course.” Dusk chuckled.

As they entered, the first thing Blitz noticed was the pink pony behind the counter flailing his forelegs. He chuckled at Berry, always energetic, no matter what time or day. He gave a quick wave to settle Berry down before he inadvertently hit a customer with his hooves.

Blitz plopped down at a table while Dusk went to the counter to order. He leaned back in his seat and took the small crowd and atmosphere in. The warm smell of pastries and coffee filled the air, along with the nonsensical commotion of the morning rush. Despite being packed, the line at the counter moved pretty quick. Ponies simply stopping in for a donut or muffin to start their day before heading to work.

Dusk soon returned, snapping Blitz out of his trance by placing a muffin and a cup of coffee in front of him. “Breakfast is served,” he said as he took a seat next to Blitz.

Blitz chuckled. “Thanks, babe.”

Dusk looked at him with a raised eyebrow. “Babe? That’s new.”

“Yeah, I’ll do you one better.” He leaned in and gave Dusk a quick peck on the cheek.

Immediately, the stallion blushed. “You—”

“Thought we established this yesterday?” He laughed as he scooped up his muffin with his hoof. He took a quick bite before continuing. “I’m done hiding it,” he said with crumbs flying from his mouth.

Dusk motioned to the ponies around them with a nod of his head. “And it looks like no one even noticed. And you were worried they’d form a lynch mob or something.”

Blitz rolled his eyes before swallowing the bite he took previously. “Like they’d even be able to catch me.”

“I suppose that’s true.” Dusk brought his hoof to Blitz’s chin and forced the pegasus to look at him. He stared into his eyes for a moment, drawing a confused look from him.

It didn’t take long for Blitz to notice a certain glint—a fire in Dusk’s eyes. It was a fire he had seen often in the bedroom. His face flushed red and he opened his mouth to protest. But, before he even got a word out, he was soon silenced by Dusk pressing his lips to his. His eyes went wide for a second. Inside, his mind was telling him to stop—to break the kiss and push Dusk back, but his heart defied it. It fluttered, basking in the attention from his stallion. His eyes closed slightly, and he returned the kiss.

When Dusk finally pulled away, he was smiling. His eyes shifted to see a few ponies looking at them, staring bug-eyed at the two. He looked back to Blitz to see him sipping on his coffee, quietly. His cheeks were bright red. “No way they missed it now.”

“Jerk…”
