"Who here knows the song Silent Night?" The music teacher asked.

   Almost the whole class raised their hoofs. "I-I do Mrs. Flower Note!" My bestie Quick Quill yelled. I hid under my seat. She looked down at me, "What are you doing Melody?" She asked.

"Hiding... I don't want her to choose me." I whispered.

She got down from her seat, "Come on Mel! You can sing!" She encouraged.

"I can't!!! I just cant!" I cried.

She dragged me out using her magic. I tried to fight back but it was useless, she has always been taller than me. "You are heavy, Melody!" She complained.

"How about you Melody Heart?" Mrs. Flower Note asked.

'Oh crud...' I thought to my self. Mrs. Flower Note's Green eyes staring at me. "Uhm... I know it.." I whispered.

"Well get up here and sing it!"  She encouraged.

"She can also play it on piano!!!" Quick Quill yelled.

"That's great!" Mrs. Flower Note yelled.

"Oh dear." I mumbled and slowly walked up to the piano. This was the last thing I needed I'm the only blank flank in class.

I started playing the piano and sung:

"Silent Night, Luna's Night,

All is calm, All is bright,

gather up ponies, young and old,

To sing Luna's lullaby, Sing Luna's lullaby."

I backed away from the piano. Everypony clapped. I have officially earned my cutie mark, It was a heart and an eighth-note, "YAY MELODY HEART!" My friend Quick Quill yelled bouncing up and down. I smiled a small smile. The bell rung and class was dismissed.

As I walked out I saw a green haired pony with a brown coat in the distance I couldn't help but follow her.

As I got closer I noticed she had wings and a horn, "AN ALICORN!" I gasped.

"Who's there?!" She yelled nervously.

"I wont hurt you." I said. "My name is Melody Heart." I showed myself.

"I'm Little Wood." The filly said.

"Where is your family?" I asked.

"I have none." She said.

"Oh... I'll be your family..." I said.

She giggled.
