I trotted town the stone path of Ponyville, I sniffed in the sweet smell of the delicious fresh-baked cupcakes from SugarCube Corner.

A few ponies galloped past, pushing me into a small puddle. I got up and ringed out my hair and went too see what everypony was making such a big deal about. There wasn't ever anything exiting around Ponyville, or at least, until now.

Everypony was laughing and pointing at a small foal, curled up into a ball and crying. I jumped infront of him, spreading my wings protectively, shielding him from everyponys gaze. I shouted at the crowd, "HOW DARE YOU!! How would you feel if you were bullied every day! For Celestias sake! I expected you guys to help him! NOT bully him!!!!" I looked back at him, he was trembling and covering his face with his small hooves. He let out a whimper as I lifted him onto my back and flew away. I didn't fly fast enough to knock him off, but enough speed to get away. I looked back, everypony stared at me. Not muttering a word.

I opened the door to my small house, I set him down on my soft couch and went into the kitchen. "What's your name, kid?" I called over my back as I prepared a small platter of cookies.

"Um..." He said with a small squeak, "StarChaser..." I shrugged as I picked up the small platter and set it in front of him, "Help yourself." I said. He picked up a sugar cookie and nibbled in it.

"You-- you were nice to me.." He said, "while everypony else bullied me. Why?"

I hesitated, "Well, the same happened to me before too."

There was a clap of thunder, then rain started drumming on my window.

"What happened?" He asked. I stared into his Cobalt blue eyes.

"Well," I sighed, "Me and my family were visiting here as a vacation from school. We were at SugarCube Corner when it happened. We were eating cookies, like we are now, and I asked to go to the bathroom. I did, but when I came back... They where gone. I saw them flying away, so I tried to fly but I was only a foal so I didn't know how to fly yet. I fell and everypony saw that, and then you know what happened then..."

He yawned and snuggled up next to me. I shifted nervously, because nopony has ever done they before in years.

I slowly got up and replaced my lap with a pillow and went to wash the dishes. I bit into a Peanut Butter cookie as I washed off the platter.

I had to get him home, I thought. I finished and walked into my room. I laid down and rolled over onto my back. I snuggled under the warm covers and fell into a dreamless sleep.

I woke up at around 6:30 in the morning and got up, I trotted over to the couch. I saw that StarChaser was still sleeping, so I went to prepare breakfeast. I put the eggs on the pan and let them cook. I walked over to the Ice Box and got out the fresh apple cider and poured two glasses of it. I prepared a strawberry muffin in a small plate and carried the small meal over to the coffee table right in front of the couch. I woke him up by giving him a small push. He opened his eyes and looked up at me. "Ohh, what's that smell?" He asked, "it smells great." He sat upright and ate the muffin first, I guess he liked muffins.

I heard a knock on the door, StarChaser looked at me and I said, "I'll get it" and trotted over to the door. I opened it to see my best friend, Midnight Shine. She was a very smart unicorn, with a lime green mane with some small streaks of black on it. I smiled and invited her in. She saw the small foal and asked, "Umm, PaintHoof? What's he doing here?" And she pointed at him. I explained the story to her. I asked her if she wanted to help me to get him home and she nodded. I went and packed a small saddlebag with some water and apples. Along with some muffins and put it on. I said, "Hey StarChaser," and he looked up with his mouth full of eggs, "Come on, we are taking you home." And he climbed onto my back. I looked over to Midnight Shine and her horn glowed and bat wings appeared on her back, "Ready" she said as we flew upwards towards Cloudsdale.

StarChaser navigated as we wove through many houses in the floating cloud city. Until he said, "That one." And me and Midnight Shine landed on the doorstep. I stepped forward and knocked on the door. The door opened and StarChaser yelled, "Mommy" and embraced the mare who answered the door. A small foal, she looked just about StarChasers age peered over from behind her mothers legs. A stallion was standing behind her, looking at me and Midnight. He nodded and kicked the door closed. Me and Midnight exchanged looks and sat on a nearby cloud and munched on some apples. Once we finished, we flew back to Ponyville. But it looked different... Floating Buildings, cotton candy clouds raining mud? This was not normal... Only one somepony had the capability to do this, and that somepony was Discord
