BonBon's P.O.V

"I love you Bonnie, I've always loved you, and I will continue to love you forever." Lyra said as she touched our foreheads together. Just as we were about to kiss, she suddenly pulls back and mockingly whispers "As a friend."  "Bonnie, Bonnie, BonBon WAKE UP DUDE!" I jumped off my bed and land ever so hardly on Lyra's back. "Oh Lyra! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to." Oh great Lyra's probably gonna get so pissed that me being the clumsy pony I am probably broke her back. "Bon I know it's early." Oh Celestia now she's gonna be even more mad for breaking her back. "But I heard you crying so I came in, I tried to comfort you, but it just made you cry even more." Lyra then looks at me for a second and said "You have breakdowns like these almost every week, I wonder what triggers them." I quietly say that I don't know and apologize for jumping on her back the way I did. "Aww Bon you are just too adorable, I can never get mad at you for jumping on my back." I let out a smile of relief and start blushing because of the compliment. "Really I'm relieved." I say truthfully, "Yeah of course how can I get mad at my best and most precious friend?" Oh this again, I yawn and tell Lyra that I'm going to go back to sleep and she nuzzles my muzzle. After she leaves I think about how I've been going through the same cycle since elementary school. Lyra says or does something sweet, then calls me her friend. Sure being friends with Lyra is great, and it's certainly better than not being friends with her. Yet, because I love her being constantly friend zoned hurts so much. If only she knew that being stuck in the friendzone constantly is what causes me to have those nightmares all the time.
