Nova Streak walked out of her room. She crossed the bridge that connected her team together in the tree tops. Most of her team was pegasi anyways. She breathed in the fresh air surrounding her. Blue birds flew ahead and went down, all landing in a smaller tree. Life wasn't always easy for Nova and her team. They constantly were making weapons, food, patrolling and fighting the other teams. All for a good reason at least. She made her way to the main room. It was nice and warm compared to the frosty air outside. Nova looked up at the big christmas tree, towering over her. Underneath were presents with lots of colour brightening the place up for once. The lights shone in many different colours and the tinsel waved around a bit in the breeze. Nova turned to shut the door but Neptune was coming in.

"Oh. Hey Neptune. Whats that?" she said looking at the small package he held under his wing.

"Hmm? Oh this? Uh...Just a present for...Mist Beam" he said blushing a bit.

Nova tried to hold in her laughter. It was nice of him but he needs to change his grumpy attitude if he wants her.

"Im sure you will get her one day...Once you stop being such a grump" she said nudging him a bit.

He frowned and growled, his pupils getting smaller with anger.

"Yeah. One day..." Neptune groaned.

Nova was walking toward the Tech department now. The bridge has tinsel and lights on it that started to glow since Galaxy Team only worked from evening to dawn. An orangish pegasus flew strangely from above. Lifting her robotic hoof up, Nova blocked the sun out and realised it was Phoenix Flame.

"Oh great. Here comes the Hot Head of the year" she groaned.

"And heading right for me!" she screeched and cover her face with her wing. Landing in front of her path he flicked his hair and looked at her.

"Hey where are you off to?" he said.

Nova Streak looked around and smiled nervously. She started the step back slowly.

"Oh Crap..." she though. Stepping back her left hind leg got stuck on the bridge.

"Fu-  Are you serious? Perfect. My life is perfect" she groaned. Attempting to yank her other mechanical leg out, a cog flew off. It bounced off the wooden bridge, a tree branch and right in Phoenix's head.

"AHH!" He yelled in pain. Quickly Nova flew off into the Tech room and took her pilot glasses off to clean them.

"Chip? You there?" she asked sitting down on a metal bench. She felt something wet and looked down. She was shocked and jumped up.

"What in the name of..."

Was that...blood? Suddenly Velvet Star appeared. "Its ok Nova" she said reassuring her.

"Blazing Hooves spilled some red juice on the table" she explained. "Chip is in the office room"

Nova nodded and wiped the juice off her flank. Entering the room she saw Micro Chip working with some device. The lights were of and it glowed brightly. "H-Hey Chip..." she mumbled. Chip turned in shock.

"Oh jeez! You scared me!" she said covering something. She sheepishly smiled at her and picked up a blanket with her magic.

"Whats that?" Nova said pointing at it. Chip sighed.

"Well this is MENT to me for Christmas but..." she turned and continued. "I want you to have it now" she said and took off the red sheet.
