%Chapter 1: The Letter%

Twilight had noticed something very strange going on, not of a matter of situation but in Celestia herself, she has been putting extra effort in her leading not that she wasn't a great leader already but, like putting together extra events to please and put smiles on the ponies she leads. When she thought no pony was looking she had a very depressing look on her face, Twilight has always asked her if she was alright and as usual she would reply “Everything is fine, really.” This routine had been going on for weeks until this one morning, as Twilight was organizing her books once more and put them in the same catagories like the last hundred times.

    "So why are we doing this again? we did this last month." Spike was very confused but tolerated the reoccuring act anyway, "I mean it would make more sense if we did this once a year maybe?" Twilight then looked at him irritated with even the notion of the idea,

"every six months maybe." he pointed as he said this.

    "Spike, I would like my books to be as organized as they possibly can, I can't have-" The sudden sound of Spike burping startled the two.

   "I wish the Princess could warn me earlier some how, ugh." the young dragon's uneasy stomach was held by his own claw.

  Twilight then began to read the scroll that appeared before her, "Dear Twilight, I must speak to you at once, signed Princess Celestia." she rerolled the scroll with her magic, "I wonder what's going on. Come on Spike we have to get to the Princess!"

  "Right!"

“Celestia we came as soon as we could!” Twilight ran into the throne room.

    "I appreciate you both coming but, I must speak to Twilight alone."

   "Oh, right. Spike would you please stay out there while we talk. We won't be long." The little dragon walked out of the room assuming the possibility of another test but Twilight knew it couldn't be a test.

    Celestia turned to face her student, there was a depressing look on her face and that's when she new, what she was about to hear was what she had been asking her mentor about for weeks and it wasn't going to be good.

    “My dearest most faithful student, you know I really care about you and am here for you whenever you need me right?”

     Twilight was confused why would she bring her here just to say this when she could have written but of course, a personal encounter makes it more special.  “Yes of course Princess Celestia but that isn't why you have brought me here has it?”

     “No, it isn't. What I'm about to tell you is going to be very unsettling, You are a princess now and run your own kingdom and your going to have to take on even more responsibility. I myself will appoint you to run Equestria for I know longer can keep the responsibility.”

     As she said those words the weight of such a responsibility became a burden, questions flooded within the lavender coated pony's head. “CELESTIA! But, but.. why?” she wanted to blurt everything out at once but all it really came down to is why?

    The elegant queen looked down and said nothing and for a moment there was an awkward silence, finally Celestia's eyes met with Twilight's,     “there is a journey we must take together, we will leave tomorrow and bring nothing with you and tell no one of this.”

%Chapter 2: A Journey Not to Forget%

It was 12:00 midnight and Twilie could not sleep, She kept thinking and asking herself “why? Why would she say such a thing? Why didn't she answer my question? Why the journey and all of Equestria? There is something that she isn't telling me!” She quietly cried but Spike could hear her, he was worried about her.  Since she had come back from Canterlot her head had lye low all evening and barely ate supper, the clock kept ticking from minutes to hours until it finally hit 6:00AM, she pulled herself out of bead.

Spike got up early to make breakfast for her, blueberry pancake delight Twilight's favorite but she walked passed by it.

      “Twilight, this is your favorite, please eat your worrying me!” The young dragon clenched his claws.

      she smiled, “Thank you spike but I'm not hungry, I'm going to need you to stay and watch over the castle kay?"

      Spike's claws clenched even harder, "But Twilight I-" the young princess put a hoof on her dragon friend.

     "I know you want to come but I need you here okay." He then nodded.

      She flew to the Canterlot castle, as Celestia opened the door she was shocked at the way Twilight looked, her eyes were shot red her mane barely combed as if she had been up all night which she had been.

      “Were you up all night?”

      “Yes I was! Let's get this show on the road cuz I not gonna get any till you tell me what's going on!”  

The fatigue finally got to the purple princess.

     “Oh Twilight, I didn't mean to worry you this much!”  

     “well you did.” She said in slight frustration, Celestia was nearly surprised of her tone but she couldn't blame her for it.

     They had been flying in the royal carriage for hours now and the young princess had fallen asleep, Celestia let her nap and even combed out her mane a little while she was but, couldn't keep the conversation reviewing in her head. How would she tell the new royal what truly is about to happen? When should she tell her, during the trip or after they get there? She preplanned to tell her after they get there so she could understand fully without distraction but she wanted to get her emotion inside out of the way, It almost made her feel guilty putting such a burden on her successful student but there is more to tell her. It was lunch time and she poked at the peaceful princess by her side.

     “It is time to eat you will need it.” Twilight was confused but then realized she had slept through.

Sitting in front of the window in the little cafe, the waitress came in a special attitude

for it isn't to often two princesses come to their UN-royal restaurant.

     “May I help you your majesty?” the waitress bowed to both of them, Celestia smiled and looked down to her pamphlet.

    “Well.. I would like to have a pot of tea for me and my friend and hmm.. so many choices, I think I'll try a plain daisy sandwich, haven't had that in a long time.” The waitress looked at her in slight confusion, she expected her to order something more extravagant and expensive but wrote it down anyway.

     “Umm.. I will have the same.” Twilight put down her pamphlet in anxiousness for she wanted to get the conversation rolling right away. The waitress nodded, jot it down, bowed, then walked away.

     Celestia was also anxious about what Twilight may ask about, “SO! How has my most loyal student been.”

     Twilight looked up at her “ Why are you acting like this? No disrespect of course but, you send me for some.. heavy.. burdening news then, now.. It's like...  *sigh  like your,”  she looked down then up to meet her eyes again in a low voice, “Hiding something from me.” Celestia clenched her lip, “Is it because of me?” Twilight began to tear up.

        “Oh no, I don't have anything against you. I honestly didn't mean to put so much weight on you like this. Where we are going is a wonderful place nothing like you have ever seen.” She smiled.

     The young princess smeared the tear rolling down her face, “So it's not me?”

    “No of course not, I am always here for you Twilight.” the purple alicorn smiled.

     After lunch they were off to the sky again, soon the smell of ocean filled the air and the cool breeze smashed the faces of the alicorns and Pegasuses, they landed on the ground and came to a stop.

    “Where are we?” Twilight wondered.

     “We must go by foot and flight now, for they cannot come with us.” She looked at the royal pegasi  as they bowed and said nothing.

      It was a long walk but it was nice for they were in the carriage for hours and hours, The sun was ready to set as Celestia walked through the crisp cool grass, she used her magic to slowly put the sun under the horizon. “We are almost there, what I'm about to show you is a big secret among all leaders in dimensions and worlds and must tell no one about.”

     “Dimensions and worlds?” Twilight was puzzled.

      “Yes it is a special place and only one like it so it must be protected.” After she had finished her sentence, she stopped using her magic and the moon was taking the sun's place in the dark star crested sky.

      They quickly flew over the rocks, they were at a cliffs edge wall at the bottom and the waves gently moved amongst the rocks. The sun queen looked out into the deep cave they came upon and walked into it using her yellow glowing magic to see there way through.

     “It's a.. cave? There are lots of caves.”

     “Yes Twilight it is a cave but not just any cave.” The more she went on the more Twilight was confused about the whole thing, as they were walking Celestia had stopped at a wall surrounded by stalagmites and stalactites as if there was supposed to be an entrance, Celestia put her horn near this entrance then another world appeared through.

%Chapter 3: Beyond the mirror%

“This place can only be opened by royal blood, that means you can open the door too.”Celestia walked elegantly into the realm of the new world opened by her magic.

     “If only royalty can open the door, how come it needs to be protected if nobody else can get in?” Twilight flew through the new door into the realm.

     “This wasn't the only entrance, once there were two entrances in Equestria. About 500 years ago there was a riot and protesting on the other side of Equestria, the ponies were greedy and wanted to excavate the mines all to themselves in the very cave the entrance was in, so the king at the time ordered the cave be closed off to all, except himself. The ponies thought he wanted gold but really he wanted it open to him so he could get in the entrance. Later the ponies ended up destroying the cave in anger and bitterness and it ended up they were caved in destroying themselves also.”

    “So that’s why it needs to be protected.” Twilight said at the same time being in awe of the world around her.

    The sky had changed to the color of aqua marine, the floor were made up of red and white checkered tiles but there were large lush green grass areas too, tall elegant chairs and a long table that sat 20 seats around it were randomly placed in the large area. There were 5 holes to the west cliff wall, like they were dug purposely and big enough to walk through like an entrance. There was one mirror standing in front of the cliff wall much like the one Twilight took to go to Canterlot high.

     “That mirror, it's the same one I went through!” Twilight ran up to it.

     “Not the same.” Celestia replied, “The mirror you walked through was enchanted, to create a portal to that world. Starswirl the bearded had much research on the subject of portals so I used his studies to create it for Sunsetshimmer.”

      Twilight searched her thoughts and recalled the Sirens being cast into another world by Starswirl, She too has created a portal into the strange world but only by science not enchantment. “But Starswirl the bearded wrote no spell like that? I would have known about it.”

     “Yes, however, his studies were hidden away so that, not just any pony could create a portal to mess with dimensions.”

     Twilight stared into the mirror seeing herself as human, she thought to herself “I don't remember the other mirror doing that?” she then turned around and saw another mirror far out but, this one was longer and was accompanied by a tiny tiny world like thing that span oh so very slowly. She ran up to it, as she walked in front of it the tile she stepped on glowed, she looked down then the tiny world accompanied by the mirror had tiny figures of her and her friends walking around the earth in a single file row, they looked very happy. Twilight looked into the mirror and saw her plain self in it, “So what is this one about? Does it go into another world too?”

     Celestia suddenly changed her tone of voice and became serious, “No Twilight, this is what I brought you here for.”

     She looked at her teacher then back into the mirror, “To see myself in the mirror?”

     “No, this is a very unique mirror, It's almost like it can tell the future.” Twilight became confused again and Celestia continued, “This mirror can tell from which world you are from, the other entrances we saw just a moment a go lead to other worlds and the leaders of that world come here every year including me. This mirror tells you who the next leader will be soon, that would mean I will no longer be here for some reason.”

      “What do you mean, wont be here anymore?” Twilight looked up to meet the Queen's saddened eyes.

     “See the figure of the world and your friends Twilight? That is how you will rule, with your friends happily and justly, that makes me happy. If you were to rule any other way the world would depict something else, sometimes to horrid to watch. The depiction of the world and this mirror is usually an event used as a celebration for the new rulers and their futures taking place at the yearly high council events, over my time, *sigh some times it's not what you would expect and something else comes of the leaders. I don't understand why some would abuse their ability.” Celestia looked sad as if she remembered something horrid from the past.

     Twilight then stepped off the tile then the figures of her friends on the world disappeared and world kept spinning and the mirror no longer kept her image although she was still in front of it,  “Why can't Luna just take over for you?”

      The queen then stepped on the tile, the mirror possessed the image of the young princess again although it was Celestia in front of it, the world turned grey and stopped spinning as the tile glowed. “See Twilight, what the mirror depicts is you, you are the future leader, it was planned that Luna take my place if something was to ever happen. See that the world is grey for I no longer have a future, I don't know when me and my sister's time will come, but it is you who must take on our responsibilities. You understand now my dearest Twilight?” as Celestia was saying these words to her the sky began to darken with grey clouds and thunder, it began to sprinkle and rain as they both began to tear up, Twilight threw herself onto her teacher with tears rolling down her face, Celestia also held onto her, covering her with a wing. “I know Twilight, I know.”

It had been days since Celestia and Twilight left on their trip and the team was getting worried, Apple jack called a meeting at the throne room in the new kingdom.

      “As you all know Twilight's been gone for a while, I've been worried sick. She wouldn't just get up and leave like she did. We should have called this meeting earlier! What if something happened to the princess?” Apple jack said with an authoritative voice, then Pinkie Pie piped up.

      “Well, the princess of all princessessezz has been gone for about the same time, maybe they went on a trip!” she then started to run on with her speech quickly, “Maybe thats why Celestia called for an emergency meeting to tell Twilight that they need to go for a long trip to go to a SUPER SPECIAL PLACE! So she can show her that she's going to rule Equestria with all of US! Which would be super awesome! And we could have cupcakes and parties everyday! But this also means something would have to happen to the princess of princessessezz and the princess sister of the princessessezzes which means-” Pinkie was cut short bye Rainbow dash.

     “Wait! I didn't catch all that but did you say something will happen to Twilight?”

     “No silly I said the Princess of princessessezzes!” the excited pink pony started to bounce.

     “First of all enough with the Princessisezesis- whatever, be clear PINKIE!”

     “I mean, Princess Celestia and Luna.”

     “So your saying that something bad is going to happen to Celestia and Luna sugar cube?” Apple jack questioned.

     “Yup!”  

     “And nothing is going to happen to Twilight?” Rarity said.

     “Nope!” every pony was confused.

     “No something is going to happen to Twilight?” Apple jack went on.

     “Yup! She's going to rule Equestria with us by her side, weren't you guys listening to what I just said?”

     Fluttershy had something to add, “Oh dear, if Something is going to happen to the princesses and, Twilight is to rule that would mean..” every pony went white as a ghost except Pinkie and Apple jack broke the silence.

     “Pinkie.. Are you sure that's what your pinkie sense is telling you?”

     “Indeedly doodly doo!”

     “Absolutely positively sure?”

     “cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye!” she smashed her hoof into her eye.

     “Well let's get out there and warn them then!” Apple jack started to run toward the exit and every pony followed.

     “WAIT!”

     “Dag nabbit Pinkie! We have no time!”

     “Celestia and Twilight are in a place that nobody but alicorns and royalty can get through!” every pony came to a stop.

     “What!?” Rainbow dash yelled out.

     “It's true! That’s what my Pinkie sense is telling me.” every pony looked at each other.

    “Well if we can't get to them, we'll have to tell the royal guard what's going on in Canterlot and wait it out. Be sure to tell us when to go Pinkie Pie!” Apple jack warned her with a serious voice.

     “When the Pinkie sense calls, I will call you!” she said enthusiastically.  

%Chapter 4: Setting Back Home%

It was very quiet and sky was still cloudy. Celestia and Twilight Returned once more before they started back.

    “Did you know that this is the place where you became a princess?”  

     “But, this doesn't look anything like where you brought me.”

      Celestia began to fly toward the sky, “Follow me.”

      It felt like forever but eventually when they passed the grey rolling clouds and into the atmospheres of the colored sky and the cotton clouds below could no longer be seen, Twilight realized they were there. They stopped flying and landed on a path of what looked like stars or glowing light.

     “This is where you brought me?”

      “Yes Twilight.”

Both of their memories and feelings started to appear as scenes around them.

      “This is also a unique place, it only portrays images of an alicorn's memories and feelings.”

     “Wow.” Twilight was in awe, as she slowly walked by the images.

“I remember that one, when I accidentally hatched Spike out of his egg.” They both watched the scene in front of them play out as they ignored the other painful thoughts they were having about the soon future.

     “This is the place both leaders are born and.” Celestia quickly stopped herself from saying the word fall, she then again looked at Twilight watching the scene play out in front of them, “Twilight, When the future takes place, you will have to come here yearly. I have already drawn up a map for you and the date the event takes place. It is necessary tool to help you through the millenniums.”

    “Millennium?” Twilight met her teacher's eyes.

    “Yes.”

     “What about my friends?”

     “Unless they are made mortal, you will outlive them. If you or I made them into alicorns they could rule with you but only for a short time, fate is a funny thing. They will find their own kingdoms to rule out of necessity.”

     Twilight looked down to think, “If they became princess' like me-” a scene of her friends appeared in front of her as alicorns, they both watched it, “they won't be with me?...”

     Celestia then broke Twilight's conversation with herself and proceeded to walk around her, “You will be the new ruler of Equestria, Over the years there must be new rulers to take on special things, like friendship, kindness, honesty, and loyalty? These are only examples, you will still be The Princess of Friendship but you must raise another to take your place. I will show you the spell to make another an alicorn once we get home but, it is up to you what you wish to do and your judgment on who has the right qualities, attitude, and readiness to take on that task.”

     Twilight felt a little light headed, “That is a big task, what if I'm not the right leader to take on this role? Cadence has more experience than I.”

     Celestia lowered herself to get to the same level as she, “I believe in you, you have more than the right qualities to take on this task, there will be hard days and when you feel a little overwhelmed, Cadence has an empire to oversee with a people who depend on love to protect their kingdom which calls for Cadence, but you? Not even Cadence could stand up to Tirek, Your the one who found the crystal heart and had the humility to have somebody else you trusted to save the kingdom.” She doubted herself, She was about to go on about how inexperienced she was but was stopped by the words so familiar to her, “You'll be fine Twilight.”

They woke the guards at the royal inn (the town was familiar with the queen coming once a year so they had the inn built for her, however, they have high class ponies visit in town so they're open year round.)

     So they started their journey home, meanwhile at the Crystal Empire.

     “Please let us in, it's an emergency!” The royal guard stood motionless blocking the way of  Rainbow dash and the others.

    “Here let me try!” Rarity insisted, “Oh what beautiful, umm.. Helmets you have!”

    Rainbow dash then whispered to Fluttershy, “Helmets?”  

    Rarity went on despite hearing what Rainbow dash said, “Won't you please let us through, we would be so grateful! I could compensate you gentle men with gems!” they stood motionless “DRATS!” it was like they couldn't hear a word they said.

    Luna then appeared behind the guards walking down the hall, “What is thy problem my friends? Move aside I must speak with them.” The guards moved to the side.

    “Luna thank goodness your here!” Fluttershy said in her more, excited voice, Applejack spoke after her.

    “Luna, Twilight and your sister have been gone for days now! You must look with us.”

    Rarity then impeded, “We have no idea where to search or start.”

    Luna gave them a relieved look, “I am aware of this my little ponies, They are fine and should be back soon.” The others were puzzled, Luna knew where they were but they themselves were not told about this?

   “How come we didn't know about this?” Applejack questioned.

    “So we wouldn't have to fret all these days for nothin'?”

    “I am sorry my little ponies, there was no cause for worry.” suddenly as she finished her words a scroll appeared out of mid air, “To my dearest sister Lulu, we are on our way back and should be home in time for a delightful supper, Signed Princess Celestia.”

    Apple jack took her hat toward her chest, “Phew they're coming back then...”

   Luna then rerolled the scroll, “Yes dear filly's, they are coming back.”

   Fluttershy then smiled, “Oh good, that means we could go home to all our little animal friends.”

Chapter 5: Alicorns

Twilight sparkle was nibbling at her sandwich as she was over viewing the Alicorn spell that Celestia gave her. This spell will only work with the true of heart. alicorn magic is required and staged in an environment where extra magic can boost the spell. “Hmm..” Twilight thought to herself, “That must be why Celestia took me and Cadence to that special world, it has unique magic that nowhere else holds..”

     First start by using the reverse spell on the recipient, then forward and accelerate x1 the height of recipient. Imagine the wings and/or horn in your head for this will be the base of the wings/horn and how it will grow on the recipient as ages go by. Twilight paused for a moment then looked at her own pair of wings, she always that they were beautiful but never did she think that this was the form that took place in Celestia's imagination. She continued reading and came to the conclusion that it looked like it was going to be a complicated spell. Before she new it her sandwich was gone and bit the air. “Oh.. guess I was more hungry than I thought..”

    Rainbow dash surprised her by storming through the door, “Twilight we were worried about you! Why would you leave without telling us?” Rainbow dash said frantically.

     Fluttershy put a hoof on her shoulder and shook her head, “I'm sure she didn't do this on purpose, Right Twilight?”

    There was a moment of silence, the young princess was frantically putting the conversation together in her head, figuring out what to say next. She then sighed feeling a little defeated, “well, I was distracted.. Celestia had me worried about something, that's why I didn't think to tell you guys cause I was thinking about something else. You understand don't you? I wouldn't storm off without telling you guys.”

     Fluttershy then came up to Twilight and put her arm around her, “Of course you didn't mean to worry anyone, Right ladies?” The other ponies kind of agreed with her but Applejack said nothing. It wasn't like her to just say nothing whether she was right or not.

     “Applejack?” Twilight asked, she stood there, first it looked like she was staring into the obis but it's clear now that she was aware of what she said and nodded. They dismissed the odd behavior.

     “So Twilight what was it that got you so worried?” Rainbow dash questioned, “what was up with the long trip? Was it totally awesome!?”

     “I'm sorry girls but it is something that Celestia wishes to keep secret-” Rainbow dash pointed to the alicorn spell she was reading in front of her.

     “Whats up with the letter?”

    she then rolled it up quickly then transported it out of sight before she could read what was on it, “Oh nothing, nothing at all.” She smiled.

    “Well if it's nothing I believe you Twilight.” Rainbow dash said.

    Twilight wasn't sure whether to ask them if they wish to become royalty or not, like Celestia warned, fate has a funny way of doing things and it's likely they'll get there own kingdoms of some sort, however, they won't be there forever. The thought never occurred to her that this would happen after she was made Princess of Friendship.

Apple jack had been acting so strange since her friends got to the castle, that odd silence earlier, she started rummaging through the library throwing books on the floor but when she was noticed, she smiled and put them back, doing things when she thinks she wasn't being watched, she didn't talk like herself, her accent wasn't as thick as it usually was and she didn't use her slang words like Y’all and sugar cube. It was almost like she was fake, Twilight said nothing, she didn't want to hurt her feelings but this is to odd.

    “Apple jack we have to talk.” She had a surprised look on her face, The young princess indicated to talk where the others couldn't hear, “Apple jack something wrong? It's OK you know you can tell me anything right?” The orange pony pursed her lips, smiled, and nodded, “Apple jack.” Twilight started in a serious voice, “I know you better than this, whats wrong.”

    The Apple was thinking about the situation then rolled her eyes,  “well, listen umm..” she started to walk toward her backing Twilight to a dark corner, “just uh stand still kay?”

    “What?” Twilight was confused but before she had time to react somebody behind snatched her, it was a changeling attempting to put her in some kind of cocoon like thing in order to copy her image without causing suspicion, she used her magic to confuse both changelings to escape the cocoon cage, she knocked down the copy facing her. “What have you done to my friend!?”

    The other changeling transformed into twilight pushing her to the side, “Why would we tell you faker!?”

    She then faced her own copy, “Faker? Your the fake!” it then spat out slime from it's mouth sticking Twilight to the wall, they both ran off. “Ugh!” she used her magic to make the slime disappear and free herself, she then ran after them, heading to the next room where her real friends are Twilight tried to warn them,  “STOP THEM! THEY'RE CHANGELINGS! STOP THEM!”

    The ponies were confused but suddenly received the message yelled out, the copied images came into the room first then the alicorn after them, “Don't let her fool you girls, she's the fake.” Twilight's copy pointed.

     “What! I don't have time for this.” The other ponies gasped as she scanned out with her magic the real images of the frauds, confusing them also.

    “GREAT! We have to deal with the queen and her minions again? I thought Cadence and Shining armor took care of those psychos?” Rainbow dash was furious.

     The purple pony looked down at the creatures “I don't know where they came from but we must get to Celestia and Cadence right away!”

Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Rarity took the train to The Crystal Empire, Rainbow flew full speed instead of taking the train, while The Princess of Friendship flew as fast she could to Canterlot,  Suddenly she saw a green slime cocoon the changelings used and heard a familiar voice muffling out, she could see one of the creatures guarding it, Twilight quickly flew down using magic to confuse the guardian and opened the cage.

     “Thank goodness! I thought help would never come!” Apple jack said as Twilight helped her out of the cocoon

She was just relieved she found a friend on the way, it was nice to see her again.

    “Apple Jack the changelings are all over Ponyville I'm worried they maybe at Celestia's castle also. tell every pony to stay inside and be safe. I must warn the princess right away.”

    “I understand, go on ahead, I'll warn the others.” Applejack then started toward central town of Ponyville.

    As Twilight was flying she couldn't help but wonder if this is it, if this was what Celestia meant, she and her sister lives were over. The last time Chrysalises was in Canterlot, she almost did lose her life to the evil queen.

%Chapter 6: Revenge%

“Cadence!” Rainbow dash shouted as she and her fiends followed.

The force of speed Rainbow dash was omitting blew the guards away literally, however, the others ran at a slower pace.

    “We need your help!” Rainbow dash was frantic, “We need you and Shining armor to do whatever you did to rid the changelings! like last time.”

    “Woa there! I knew of the changelings being here, they're trying to get through the shield of the crystal heart and the love of the ponies but, how did you get here?”

    Rainbow dash rolled her eyes “Don't get me started.”

Pinkie pie wanted to tell the story but Rainbow dash, quickly cut the conversation that was going to develop.

“They're everywhere in Ponyville and Twilight headed toward Canterlot to warn Celestia.” Fluttershy said while rubbing her hoofs together in anxiousness.

    “ I was gonna send a letter to Celestia and Luna about the situation to warn you, looks like you warned me.”

    “Well lets get going!” Rainbow dash yelled out.

“Remember, let the love within you shine so that the Crystal Heart may keep the shield as strong as ever. I will be leaving you a short time.” The crystal ponies nodded and bowed before the princess, the Crystal Heart span a little faster and glowed a little brighter. Cadence turned to Rainbow dash and her friends, “Just let me get Shining Armor then we could go.”

    Pinkie started to jump up and down “Okay dokey lokey!”

    Rarity flipped her hair, “Oh but, couldn't we stay just a little longer? I'm hoping it would cause my mane to sparkle. These ponies are so Fabulous!” Rarity went on...

“Muahahaha! Finally all these years!!!” Chrysalises was basking at the site, “Plotting and trotting among the lands, building my army, feeding on innocent, happy, lovely creatures, BUT THE PAIN WAS WORTH IT! It was all worth it! Muahahaha!” Twilight came too late, Chrysalises took the throne and Celestia was gone. The Evil Queen slowly ran her hoof down the arm of the throne chair, “So lovely, must admit Celestia had good taste, to bad it didn't do you any good!" She couldn't help but to remind herself how she did it, "Once I finally reached the yearly high council, I couldn't help but to feel bitter inside and not do anything as you all talked in piece! As I watched you step up that future leader mirror I came up with a plan, when I saw that little world of yours turn grey and the shock on your face! I KNEW IT WAS MY CHANCE IT WORKED! HAHAHAHAHA!!!" The Evil Queen couldn't help remembering what was in the mirror also. Twilight was so overcome with emotion she couldn't move, Chrysalises didn't have to hold her down. “So, Princess of Friendship. Now that I'm queen of all Equestria! How do you feel? Knowing that your petty ponies or should I say friends will bow to me, and you can't stop me?” Chrysalises leaned in closer to Twilight.

    The saddened princess finally sat down and began to cry, quietly, hopelessly, knowing that this was the one fear she always had deep down inside, being made known of it, then having it happen in front of her took her heart and shattered it to pieces. The Cruel Queen watched her cry basking in the feeling of victory but, something about this site pricked her hard heart also..

    Luna rushed in, “I WILL EVENGE MY SISTER!”

    Chrysalises spat out slime taping her to the wall, Luna then used her magic to remove the annoying thing, “Boys, take her away.” then suddenly hundreds and thousands of changelings came from the windows and throne room doors, there were to many for her to handle and took Luna out of site. “Take care of her like I did Celestia.” She said so unwittingly and realized what she said then laughed at herself.

     The words passed by Twilight still over come by emotion but then they came back around listening to it over and over again, she then thought “If I know what she plans to do with Luna maybe I can still save her.” Twilight mentally tried to gather her strength to get up but she couldn't it was just a moment longer, then another moment, and another. The idea in itself of leaving her mentors side was unthinkable at the time.

After hours of sitting there and Chrysalises still watching the site, Twilight's face was stained dry with tears yet her eyes were still swollen pink, she had no more tears to cry. She stood for moment and walked away slowly from the room and Chrysalises resting her head on her hoof became suddenly aware of the new action.

      “Come again soon Twilight, I'll have an offer to make for you.” but she couldn't care to listen to what she said, Right now what she was concerned about was getting back to her friends.

%Chapter 7: Princesses are born%

“I don't care how we may try, we have to get to Canterlot!” the furious blue pegasus was going off.

     “But we can't get passed those rampaging changelings set out there.” Fluttershy stared outside from where the tree of harmony grew.

    The team of friends and married couple took shelter in the cave, after they passed the crystal empires shield they were blasted by the army of black creatures.  

    “I'll kick those armies flanks if I have too, all by myself!” Rainbow dash was going to set out but was quickly stopped by Cadences added advice.

    “Fluttershy's right, we can't get out there till they die down. We'll set out tonight, the sun should be under the mountains soon and after they begin to sleep then we could go.”

    Twilight was thinking the same thing as she was flying dreadfully slow, “The sun should be down by now? oh.... the sun should be down by now...” she couldn't bear the thought of it anymore, the image of it all, she had to find her friends and find them soon. She decided to head for sweet apple acres first, if Applejack made it, she should be there. The changelings were distracted by snacking on the fruit on the land, She then took the opportunity to knock on the barn door but, there was no answer. She squished her ear against the door listening for any noise that may indicate if anyone was in there, she then went in without permission. “Apple jack, are you in here?” she said with a whisper.

    “WOA NELLY! SET OUT ROUND ONE!” “Huh?!” suddenly an apple hit the lavender princess' mane.

    “Ouch! guys it's me!”

    “Copy still around, set out round TWO!” Big Macintosh kicked with his hind legs another apple as his sisters were hiding behind another room.

    She caught the apple in mid air with her magic, “IT'S ME!”

    The orange pony set behind the wall popped her head out, taking off her red helmet. “Twilight, is that really you?”

    “Yes it's me.” she then threw her arms around her real friend but was cut short.

    “Apple jack, we have get to the others fast!”

    “Understand that, Brother keep an eye over the family, we have some business to attend too.”

     He then gave out a deep “Yup.”

They began running across the field, the little black creatures were still distracted by their own snacking.

   “All righty Twilie where to next?”

   “Don't know any suggestions?”

   “Well, where did they head off too, before I got kidnapped?”

   “They set off to the Crystal empire but they could be anywhere by now, if the changelings got to there too, the shield would have protected them. If they started to head back to Canterlot they would have been overwhelmed by Chrysalises' army.”

    “Then lets set out to the train station then.”

    “We'll have to go around, through the Everfree forest.”

    “Everfree forest? Are you out of your mind?”

     “I know, I don't want to either but we have too, Ponyville has a swarm of those changelings.”

     “All right Twilight, let's do this!”

As they were running through the Everfree forest they were next to the ravine where the tree of harmony grew, they saw a bright glow in the cave and also heard familiar voices.

     “Could that be them?” the winged alicorn looked down into the ravine.

     “No idea, let's check it out sugar cube.” Sure enough it was them, every pony was surprised.

“Oh good, we found you!” everybody followed the words by a big group hug. “Cadence! You came!”

    “Sure enough Twilight, we took shelter in this cave cause-” she was cut short by the pony she used to foal sit for.

    “I could see why, listen there is something I have to tell you guys. All of you really.”

    “Yes?” everyone said harmonically.

    She intended on telling them about the alicorn spell but, how could she tell them without setting off her emotions to what happened with her teacher, she didn't want to think about but, It came out anyway.

“Celestia..” she began to tear up and she rubbed the back of her neck, “Celestia and Luna are..” every pony began to turn white, “ are gone.. That is what I wasn't supposed to tell you until I had the chance too but, it was Chrysalises' fault!” It was very apparent she became angry, “She and her stupid army!” then her emotions twisted again, “but, it's kind of my fault too, I was too overcome by my emotions to even help Luna while I had the chance..” A very small tear rolled down her face and she began to weep, not many droplets swelled out cause she had already cried so much earlier. Every pony looked at each other and felt sympathy for her but also kind of questioned why she couldn't help Luna while she could, Shining armor then broke the Silence.

    “Twilie.” He put his arm around her as she sat there crying, “I'm sure you tried your best to do what you had to do, you lost your teacher who taught you a lot over the years and I'm very sorry for that but, You can't hold yourself responsible for somebody else's actions.”

    She then smeared the water droplets on her face, “Thank you but it still hurts.”

    “I know Twilie.”

     She then turned to her friends to change the subject but still, she was emotional. “Celestia gave me a spell to make you guys alicorns. Now that this means I'll be ruling equestria, I may outlive you guys but, This also means that you may get your own kingdoms. 6 princesses can't rule one kingdom.”

    Shocked they looked amongst each other, “Why that would be extravagant! How wonderful it would be having a beautiful pair of wings!” Rarity watched her back side imagining what it would be like.

   “Why would you want us to become princesses?” Fluttershy said rubbing her arm.

   “Because now more than ever, I need you guys, your possible magic, your high speed wings.” She then looked down “Your company?”

   Apple jack came and put her arm around her, “Oh sugar cube, I don't have to become royalty to pass this new challenge, we've pushed through before. Though we may not be there for your whole life, at least y’all could make the most of what time we have now.”

    Twilight put her hoof on her friend's shoulder, “You don't understand, I need you!”

    Rarity then stepped up, “Darling, every one will pass some day. Some sooner than others, not that becoming an alicorn wouldn't be fabulous!”

    The purple pony recoiled at the word pass.

    “Oh, I'm sorry I didn't mean to-”

    “It's OK Rarity, really. I guess I'll just have to get used to it.”  

The seamstress couldn't help but to feel bad to remind her friend of her pain.

    “You mean a lot to me, your my friends. Thank you so much for being here for me.”

    “Anything for you Twilight!” Pinkie pie started to jump up and down.

    “Well, I guess all I have to do now is.” She turned around to face the frozen bright star in the sky,

“Raise the Sun.”            

    Cadence stepped up with a smile, “I'll help you with that.”

%Chapter 8: Twilight's Offer%

The main six, now reunited, were planning out their strategy. With struggle the pink and purple alicorns' set the sun and raised the moon which caused the changeling's to rest. They planned to strike at midnight when most of the little black creatures were sleeping. Twilight was lead and was to go into the castle first, it was unlikely the Evil Queen and her armies was going to attack her. As Chrysalises saw the young princess walk into the castle hall she was delighted, she had something to offer that the princess couldn't put down, after all, she was the new Queen of Equestria and there was nothing that Twilight could do about it.

    “Ah that didn't take long! Just maybe six hours, by the way you were late setting the sun new Celestial princess! Which reminds me, I was going to offer you a place in my kingdom, you should feel honored. A mere alicorn like you has no place here.”

    “I'm not staying anywhere with you!” The green eyed creature was surprised at her will, when she was broken what seemed like only a moment ago.

    “As I was saying, you could stay here with me and teach me the powerful magic you posses along with everything you know and, if you could raise the sun and moon on a normal basis, I might even treat you nicely.”

    “No Chrysalises, I have an offer to make you.” The evil queen liked where this was going, “This is my Kingdom now, however, we can live in peace with each other. You don't have to take love by force, it only makes things feel fake. If you take the love offered in a friendship it makes it much more satisfying, what do you say? Wanna be friends?” It took everything in Twilight to say what she did, she didn't want too because, she not only took the lives of her friends but her teacher.

   Something also in Chrysalises liked the idea of friendship but to give away the kingdom she had in hand, since she's been this close, it almost sounded crazy. “How pitiful! Friendship? Is that all you have to offer to me?”

    “If you don't except my offer, I'll have no choice but to take back my castle!”

    “Really, all by yourself? UNLIKELY!” Chrysalises began to laugh out loud.

Suddenly through the windows of the throne room came in

Princess Cadenza, Rainbow dash, and Fluttershy.

From behind was Shining Armor, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Apple Jack.

    “Please! I ask you to take my offer while you can!” Twilight almost begged.

    “I'll take you down before you take what's rightfully mine! GUARDS GUARDS!” the little black creatures scrambled, bumping into each other and the walls.

The married couple started their love spell that once caused her armies to be banished from Equestria once more. something about this site made the Evil queen quench,  seeing how the couple loved each other so much they can even do this, she wanted this authenticity. Was friendship really such a bad idea?

    “Chrysalises, This is the last offer. Accept our friendship!” after these words, inside, the Princess felt like she forgave her for what she did, she had every right to hate her guts but she didn't, she didn't understand this phenomenon.

    “I.. I..” The Queen looked into the young girl's eyes as flashing lights from the spell lit the room and made the scene alot more dramatic, she saw the the guards she called for running, coming in from the halls. “WAIT STOP!” the guards halted and the couple canceled the spell, she looked down unsure of herself and what she may have just did, she wanted to pursue the feeling inside anyway. “Maybe, friendship wouldn't be such a bad thing.”

    Cadence stepped up, “You will have to return the kingdom to Twilight.”

    The dark Queen new this, however, she knew if she hesitated to do this she will be banned once more and will have to gather her troops again or maybe, she thought, “I could try this thing and if it doesn't work out, I don't have to travel half of Equestria to take down this lowly place after all.”  “Yes I will return the castle over to you. For now on this will be our truce!”

   Twilight and Chrysalises shook hooves and she turned her ways for now, she and her army were allowed to live near the kingdom but was warned that if she crossed the line by a hair, she will be banished forever.

%Chapter 9: A New Page Has Turned%

It was a week since the Evil Queen's disaster army came and things seemed to be going well so far, it was decided that the new Princess of Equestria would rule from her own castle and return to Canterlot when needed. Many of the royal guard moved to the Princess of Friendship's castle and many things of Celestia's were brought with them, as Twilight was going through the boxes she encountered a more weightier one, It was a pretty decent size. She discovered it held the box that Celestia used to keep the elements of harmony in and only she could open, The purple alicorn wondered if it would open for her so she tried and the box unfastened. In it was the calender date for the high council event that the sun queen marked out, It also contained spells that star swirl the bearded wrote that was for her eyes only but the one unique thing that was most special of all in this case was the last letter that Celestia wrote for Twilight Sparkle.

    My dearest most faithful student, Twilight Sparkle.

If you are reading this now then I must have passed unless I told you otherwise,

I'm sorry I wasn't there for your lifetime but know I will always be proud of you!

Watching you grow was an honor for me to see, how you solved the puzzles and challenges that life threw at you, Bonding with your friends, becoming the adult you became to be but, the most special thing you gave me was your friendship and becoming  my student. All those letters you have written to me I have kept, now I give them back to you to read over when you need a reminder or two. You have changed my life in many ways too and even inspired me. Know that I will always love you and remember, You'll be fine Twilight.

    She couldn't hold back the tears rolling down her face and even giggled at the last words she said in her letter, It gave her sweet memories of her teacher.

Flash Sentry suddenly came into the room with Celestia's buzzing book.

    “Oh! I'm sorry did you need a moment?” Twilight took a tissue to her face and blushed a little.

    “No, I'm fine. I didn't know you were here.” Twilight took the glowing book from the stallion's hoofs.

    “Yeah, they sent me here with the royal guard, I thought I could use the experience.”

    “It looks like a letter from Sunsetshimmer.” Twilight said in a nasaly voice.

    “Sunsetshimmer?”

    “Heh heh, could I have a moment? Alone?”

    “Oh! Of course.” the blue maned Pegasus bowed then left.

   Dear Twilight Sparkle,

I plan to visit Equestria soon and was hoping you could open the portal this evening?

Hope to see you soon.

    When she finished reading Sunset's short letter it occurred to her that she needed somebody to take her place, since Sunsetshimmer was being mentored by Celestia as she was, maybe there was something that made her new reformed friend special?

A warning buzzed in her head, “Remember she was too greedy? She didn't get what she wanted as soon as she wanted, that's why she left.”

Another reminder ran in her memory, “She's reformed now Twilight, remember?”

She had a long conversation with herself before she began to write.

Dear Sunsetshimmer,

It is great that you would want to come to visit!

I was wondering, would you like to stay in Equestria on a permanent basis?

I'm sure there's plenty I could teach you!
