This is a story of friendship, betrayal, hardships and romance... kinda... not really... I mean, there IS romance here and there, but it's not exactly the basis of the- Okay, I'm getting off topic. This is the story about me and my friends going on an adventure to save the world from complete annihilation.

My story begins a few months before my birth believe it or not, that one stormy night in Canterlot Castle. My mother, whom you would know as Princess Twilight Sparkle, was seven months into her pregnancy, and was currently visiting her mentor's castle for a small visit via a request from Princess Celestia. However, she hadn't read a book for an entire two days, so she decided to fix that immediately.

At last she entered the Canterlot Castle library. She pulled out a children's book from one of the massive shelves, sat down on one of the several colourful cushions and began reading to herself in her head with a smile on her face. Then she began to read aloud, as if she was reading the story to me.

At the same time, she heard a rather quiet noise coming from the entrance to the library. Being the curious mare she was, she went to go and investigate it, albeit slowly due to the extra weight she put on.

"Darn you and your extra weight on me" she giggled as she rubbed her belly. Despite her extra cargo, she pressed onwards.

"Hello?" she called out as soon as she reached the library's entrance "Is anypony there? If you want to join me for some reading, I don't mind."

However, nothing answered her.

After a few more minutes passed, my mom gave up searching for the noise and returned to her cushion to read her book. She sat down, levitated the same book she was reading off the ground where she left it and began to read once more. Not a few seconds later, she heard the same noise emanating from the entrance again.

"Hello?" Twilight called again "I'm not going over there again! Kinda pregnant over here!"

No answer.

"Um... Alrighty then..." mother said in a rather uneasy voice "If at any time you want to read with me, feel free to join..."

She then got comfortable in her seat and focused back on her book before she began reading again. However, a few seconds after she did this, she felt a cool breeze behind her, as if a window behind her had suddenly opened up. Slowly but surely, she turned around to face who, or what, had just joined her.

Thankfully, it was just Princess Luna.

"Twilight! Art thou alright?" the Princess of the night asked in her Shakespearean talk, unintentionally of course "I heard thou yelling at somepony, so I came rushing."

"*sigh*... Yes Luna, I'm fine" my mom smiled as she let out a sigh "Next time, please don't sneak up on me when I'm reading, okay?"

"Very well, Princess Twilight" nodded Luna "So, who were you shouting at anyway?"

"Apparently nopony..." my mom confusingly said as she looked at the library entrance, then back to Luna "Anyway, do you want to join me with some reading? I haven't done it in Celestia knows long... How I managed that, we may never know."

"I see no problem in it" Luna answered "Very well! I shall join you."

"Great!" my mother smiled "Sorry if I'm reading a filly's book. I just want to read to this little guy before I hit the hay. Please, take whichever book you want."

"Oh, I loved that book when I was a filly!" Luna remembered a long, long time ago when she was young "My sister used read it to me every night whenever I got scared. I suppose I'll try to read it once more."

"Suit yourself!" my mom laughed a little.

"Anyway, how goes the child?" asked Luna as she levitated down another copy of the storybook my mother was reading.

"Seven months in, and I feel like a whale on a diet of nothing but cornflakes" my mother joked as she rubbed her belly "A few more months, and he'll be popping out. Thank goodness too! I'm tired of feeling sick and constantly wanting pineapples for some reason..."

"He'll be?" Luna asked.

"Yeah, I visited Nurse Redheart for my ultrasound scan earlier today. Turns out I'm having a colt!" explained Twilight "I wasn't going to tell you guys until tomorrow, so I suppose an early reveal can't hurt, right?"

"Very true" laughed Luna "Did Nurse Redheart reveal his species as well?"

"Yes, actually" Twilight said with a smile on her face "Looks like he's gonna be a-"

My mother's sentence was interrupted by the same noise that she investigated a few minutes ago, only it sounded louder and much closer than before. Not feeling like getting up again, she turned to her Alicorn friend.

"Luna, would you do me a favour and check out that noise for me?" she asked.

"Of course, dear Princess of Friendship" Luna agreed as she got up from her seat to investigate the noise.

Once she got there, she looked around a few times, but saw nothing.

"I'm sorry, Twilight" she appologized "I don't see anything or anypo-"

*wham*

A large wooden bat came out of the darkness and hit Luna square in the head, completely knocking her out.

"Princess Luna!" Twilight shouted as the blue Alicorn fell to the ground unconscious. Behind Luna was a pink Unicorn mare robed in black with an orange mane.

"Who are you?" my mother yelled "Why did you hurt the princess?!"

The mare stood silent still, her cyan eyes staring straight into the maternal mare's.

"What do you want?" my mom asked her final question a little quieter than her last ones. The mare did nothing but look at Twilight's bulging abdomen and grinned. My mother saw this and realized what the mare's next action was going to be.

"No" my mom said as she protectively held her belly "You are NOT touching my foal!"

"You're foal will bring about the destruction of this world's order!" the mare shouted "It must be eliminated!"

"I won't let you touch him!" my mom protested.

"Then I shall destroy you too" the mare said "A pity; you're such a beautiful young mare. I had hoped to avoid you death, but it seems if you don't want to cooperate, then you leave me with no choice."

The mysterious mare then charged up a spell from her horn, which my mother recognized as a destruction spell. In defense, my mother began charging her counter spell to combat with the mare. They both released their magic at each other. Unfortunately, being weaker due to her pregnancy, she began to lose the fight.

"ENOUGH!" shouted a voice all too familiar to my mom. A powerful blast of magic shot from behind the mare, sending her flying into teh bookshelves and knocking her out.

"Princess Celestia!" my mom shouted happiness, looking at the Alicorn who saved her "You saved me!"

"Twilight, are you okay?" asked Celestia.

"I'm fine, thank you..." my mother thanked before she looked down at her attacker "Who is she anyway?"

"Unfortunately, that I do not know, dearest Twilight" Celestia honestly told her somberly "However, it seems she was trying to abort you're foal."

"Well, I think I figured that one out from personal experience" my mom gave off an uneasy chuckle "Tell your guards to send her to the dungeon. As for me, I don't think I'll be coming back to the library for a while."

"Fair enough..." Celestia chuckled a bit "Well then, let me return you to your room."

"But what about Luna?" asked my mother with a bit of worry and concern. Princess Celestia looked over at her sister. Instead of a beat up and knocked out mare on the ground, closer inspection revealed Luna to be acting like a young, sleeping filly with a small smile and drool coming out of her mouth.

"She'll be fine" Celestia giggled "Although, I suppose somepony can bring her back to her bed. Guards! Take my sister back to her quarters and this mare to the dungeon!"

"At once, you highness!" said a few guards that came from absolutely nowhere said. They picked up both the mare and Luna and began carrying them off.

You'd think that'd be the end right? No, it was far from over. The mare suddenly woke up and struggled out of the grip of the guards. She then faced both Princesses with a look of desperation.

"I must... fulfill... my task!" the mare screamed before charging up her last resort, which my mother saw was a self-destruct spell.

"Everypony get down!" Celestia shouted, but it was too late. The mare obliterated herself in a flurry of magical power, dealing a good deal of damage to her surrounding area. After a few minutes had passed, everypony got up with some groans and whines, except Luna who was still sleeping peacefully.

"Is everypony alright?" asked Princess Celestia. All the guards gave out moans, but eventually answered the question with a collection of yeses. Princess Celestia smiled, but then heard crying from behind her. She turned around to see her past student holding her belly with tears in her eyes.

"I couldn't react fast enough..." she cried "The explosion hit me and... and... *sniff*... p-princess..."

Celestia put her hoof and an ear to Twilight's belly. She rubbed it for a while before she smiled and spoke.

"Fear not, my little pony" Celestia said kindly "Your child is safe and alive. I don't think the blast, no matter if it was magical or not, wasn't strong enough to hurt him."

"Are you sure?"

"I'm sure..."

"*sniff*... Thank you..."

Four months later...

XXXXXX

Three hours ago, my mother's water broke and she had gone into labour. She was in a fit of pain as she struggled to get me out of her. She pushed one last time, and after an hour of pushing, she panted and heard the sound of a newborn foal crying.

"Congratulations, your highness!" Nurse Redheart said "It's a beautiful baby Alicorn boy!" The pink-mane nurse handed Twilight her newborn foal that she's been carrying around for what felt like an eternity.

"He's... he's..." was all my mother could say before my father, the librarian by the name of Bookworm, trotted into the delivery room. My father was a unicorn that had a navy blue coat, a dark blue mane, and circular glasses positioned on his muzzle. His cutie mark was that of a normal book and a pair of glasses.

"The most beautiful thing I've ever seen" he finished my mother's sentence as he kissed her and took a look at his newborn child "Y'know, next to you of course!"

"Oh stop, you..." my mother panted a bit as she let out a quiet giggle "Right now, there's a foal here who needs more attention than me..."

"Yeah..." my father sighed as he looked at me, his newborn son "Hey, he has your eyes and coat!"

"And your mane..." she pointed out as she ran a hoof through my mane, calming me down from all my crying "Although, I can't help but wonder where he got that streak of red through it..."

Suddenly, a terrible memory appeared within my mom's head. The memory of the explosion and how it touched Twilight's pregnant belly. My mother shuttered, but continued to hold me gently.

"I suppose it's from a relative" she concluded after trying her best to rid herself of that awful thought "Crazy things like that happen..."

"Twilight, are you okay?" asked Bookworm "You seem a bit worked up."

"Gee Bookworm, could it be the fact I just birthed our own son not two minutes ago?" my mom joked as she let out a chuckle "I'm just wondering what he'll grow up to be."

"Let's leave that part to when it actually happens, okay?" my father reassured "Right now, let's just enjoy the moment... Just the three of us."

"Yeah... okay..." Twilight said as she looked down at me again. By now I was already asleep, but that just made my mother smile even more.

"Let's enjoy the moment..."

I hope you like this so far since I'm really enjoying making it for you guys to read and enjoy!
