Back on the battlefield.

The heroes had managed to take down Eggman's Egg Beater and were now concentrating on Gamma.

"Nothings getting through," Dante said, as he tried to cut through the armour.

"Gamma was built to deal with natural hazards," answered Mega Man.

They noticed that the robot soldiers were starting lose some of their energy.

"The Robots appear to be losing power," Weiss said.

"Vrak must be concentrating his energy elsewhere," Noah replied.

"Maybe we can get some breathing space," suggested Sonic.

"You might want to rethink your position on that," Applejack said, pointing ahead of them.

From the direction of the castle came a platoon of black armour clad soldiers with red eyes and gas masks.

The leader was dressed almost the same, with only some differences in his armour.

"You will surrender to superior force," ordered the leader "or face the might of the Helghan Army."

"That's not going to happen," Vergil growled, he charged at the leader, his sword drawn.

The Leader drew out a knife and seemed to vanish from a sight.

Vergil stopped and looked around, "Show yourself foolish dog!" he cried.

"Oh, I assure you," the leader's voice replied, as he reappeared "I am no fool." With that the leader drove his knife into Vergil's back.

Vergil winced, but he wasn't hurt that badly. Because of his and Dante demonic side, it gave them a regenerative ability. This allowed them to shrug off mortal wounds like they were nothing more than bug bites.

"You would be wise not to do that again," the leader continued.

"Who are you?" Twilight demanded.

"I am Colonel Radec, leader of the Helghan Army," the Leader answered, "if you are the true threat to the Helghast, me and my associates have nothing to worry about."

"You sick, twisted creature," Sally spat, readying her ring blades.

"I've been called many things, my dear," Radec replied, "Some people call me a terrorist, The people Helghan consider me a saviour, one of the things that my people remember me for is: heroes, there is no such thing."

"If your so feared then why are you and your army working for Vrak?" asked Blake.

"We have....an arrangement," Radec replied.

"Hard to believe someone like you, could work with someone like Eggman, tall-dark-and-gruesome," Sonic interrupted.

"I'll admit," Radec answered, "working with that bumbling excuse for robotics experts and some of the other members was at times goofy and almost cartoony."

"But Vrak obviously saw that I had a brilliant tactical mind and can get the job done without mishap," Radec finished.

Troy glared at Radec through his helmet, "There is something you must know about us, we'll never give up!"

"A noble sentiment," Radec declared, "But I have a job to do."

Back inside the floating castle.

"Look at the world outside," Luna cried, as she blocked Vrak's wrist blades with her Fire Saber, "it is starting to wither and crumble."

"You're forgetting, little princess," Vrak laughed "with the my power I can travel to other worlds..."

Vrak managed to hit Luna with a some electricity shot from some cannons on his shoulders, "so this world is welcome to rot" he finished.

"Never!" Luna replied, getting back up "I will not allow eternal night to infect anywhere else."

She slashed at Vrak, he simply dodged the sword with Matrix-style reactions.

"Time for my next trick," Vrak snarked, he began to recite a prayer he had learned from the old Sonic universe, "The servants are the seven chaos" he uttered, black energy swirled around him.

Luna slashed at him again, he dodged again, "chaos is power, controlled by my will," he continued.

"I will stop you!" Luna shouted.

"The controller exists to enslave the chaos," Vrak finished, he fired a blast of dark chaos energy at Luna.

Luna blocked it with her sword, Vrak concentrated the blast. Luna found herself being pushed back by the energy blast.

"A gift, curtsy of the charming Dr. Finitevus," Vrak laughed, "it is time to give up the fight."

Suddenly from out of nowhere, a voice cried, "Chaos Blast!" It was followed by a wave of golden energy blasted Vrak aside.

Vrak turned to where the blast had come from, "NO! NO!" he cried.

For there stood Proto man, Rouge, Gemerl and Shadow, only now in his Super Shadow form.

"Yes, Vrak," Shadow smiled, "you face the wrath of the ultimate life form."

"Shadow, Blues you're OK?!" Luna cried, tearing in her eyes.

"You'd better believe it," Proto man replied,

"But, how?" Vrak sputtered, "the items my servants brought me?"

"Those grunts of yours didn't bother to check us to see if we were actually out," Gemerl said.

"You think that just four more heroes have a chance of beating me?" Vrak smirked, he nodded to the Dark Rangers and to Brutalight Sparcake, Rainbine and Rarifruit.

"Deal with them," he command.

The Dark Rangers and the three ponies obeyed,

Shadow, who had now put on his Inhibiter Ring, managed to defeat them with one single chaos blast.

"Remember me?" Proto man asked the insane Rarity as he pointed his arm cannon at her head.

The Rarity clone just growled at him, Proto man fired, blasting the clone into dust.

"And this is mine," he said as he put his helmet back on.

Both Rouge and Gemerl dealt with the rest of the Vrak's forces, once they were done, they all joined Luna to face Vrak.

"I can beat you even without my creations," Vrak roared.

"Alright, team," Luna smiled, "time to end this."

"Couldn't have said it better," agreed Proto man.

The battle began: Proto man and Gemerl laid down cover fire, while Rouge, Shadow and Luna Blitzed Vrak with everything they had.

After a few moments, Luna and her friends were getting nowhere, "I guess it's time to use this," Luna said, her pulled out the disc that Gosei had given her, it had the ability to double the power of its user.

Luna slipped the dice onto her sword and a second appeared, she slashed Vrak while Shadow fired a hail chaos spears.

Vrak tried to block the attack but because he was taking constant damage he couldn't heal his wounds fast enough.

"I'm done toying with you!" Vrak roared, a wave of dark energy erupted from him pushing everyone back.

"This rebellion ends now" he continued, as he began to grow to gigantic size.

Outside on the battlefield.

The Heroes had beaten Gamma and most of Radec's forces.

The Rangers and everybody else looked towards the castle to see Giant sized Vrak striding towards them.
