Chapter 1: Finding out
"I'm sure you have a special somepony!"
The sun rises as Ponyville awakens from a night of beautiful stars. Rainbow Dash zooms through Ponyville, seeking out for any suspicious content. Rainbow Dash suddenly gets distracted by a huge trophy that a pony won as the "Most Healthy Pony of the Year", and Rainbow doesn't see where she's going and bumps right into Pinkie Pie. "OUFF!" she grunts as she collides into Pinkie.
"Dashie, are you okay?" Pinkie asks Rainbow. Rainbow is right on top of Pinkie Pie, and her heart is thumping. Th-thump, th-thump, th-thump. "Ahh! Sorry, Pinkie!" Rainbow Dash says as she blushes while scooting away. "Aw, its noothiinnggg! I was just setting up my balloon party!" Pinkie says excitedly. Pinkie trots away, saying a small "Bye bye!" to Rainbow Dash. Rainbow just stands there, her face red and blushing, kind of like sizzle marks above her head.
"AWMPFH!" was the sound Rainbow made when she ate a muffin. AWMPFH, AWMPFH, AWMPFH, AWMPFH! went Rainbow Dash as she ate muffins. "Rainbow..?(You usually don't eat this much)" said Derpy, while holding a half-eaten muffin. Derpy may seem like a silly pony, but when it comes to love problems, she's got the help you need. "RAINBOW?..." said Derpy once more, but louder. "Is it Soarin problems again?". "No...." says Rainbow. "It's... P-p-p-p-pi-I-I-n-n-n-k-k-k-iiee-e-e-e..." Rainbow stutters. Derpy closes her eyes and drops her muffin. The soft fresh-baked pastry falls to the ground in a "SPLAT!". Derpy stares at Rainbow Dash, her eyes falling into a state where they're not all messed up anymore. "So... you like.. Pinkie Pie?" she says in a mysterious way, (which is surprisingly not derpish at all.) which sends tingles up Rainbow's spine as her face turns red and she blushes like CRAZY!
"Y-yeah..." Dash says, still red. "I.." Derpy says, having her eyes fall back into a derpy state. "maybe think I can help you with that."
Chapter 2: A little bit of Derp will Do
"R-really..?" Rainbow Dash says as Derpy smiles at her. "Of course I can help you! What kind of friend would I be?!" responds Derpy.
"THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!" says Rainbow, smiling and crying tears of joy. I guess that's how strong Rainbow's love for Pinkie is. thought Derpy.
Rainbow and Derpy ran towards Sugar Cube Corner, hearing the sound of their clopping hooves. Clop, clop, clop, clop clop. "We have no time to waste, Rainbow! Remember to give Pinkie the special cupcake!" shouts Derpy to Rainbow Dash. Rainbow blushes a bit. "Right!" she replies to Derpy. As they got close to Sugar Cube Corner, they saw Pinkie Pie emerging from the door. "STOP!!!" Derpy screamed. Derpy's hooves came to a halt as she stopped herself. Rainbow couldn't stop, and she ran right into Pinkie Pie.
"Nrrhhh.." groaned Rainbow as the dust cleared from the crash. KOFF, KOFF! coughed Rainbow. She flapped her wings to clear away the dust. Then she saw Pinkie Pie. Right below her. Blush "Agh! Uh, P-p-pinkiiee!!!" stutters Rainbow Dash. Pinkie gets up, and brushes dust off of her. "Haha, WOW! That's the SECOND time you've crashed into me today!" Pinkie says enthusiastically.
"So, what did you want, Dashie?..." Pinkie sees Derpy outside Sugar Cube Corner. "...and Derpy I guess?" "No, It's only me." says Rainbow. "H-here.." Rainbow gives Pinkie the special cupcake."OMG THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!!!!!'' Pinkie responds happily. She unwraps the cupcake and throws away the wrapper, then eats the cupcake in one bite. Nom nom nom, GULP! Pinkie licks her lips. "THANK YOU RAINBOW!!!" Pinkie shouts. Rainbow blushes, then trots away.
"That went really well! Thanks for helping me bake the cupcake, Derpy!" says Rainbow. "Aw, shucks. I only knew how to bake one since I make muffins so much." responds Derpy heartily. The two pony-friends were sitting at their usual spot, under the cherry tree. They had a plate of muffins in between them, and Derpy ate a whole muffin in one bite, and Rainbow ate a muffin too. And the muffin she ate... had a little bit of pink in it.
