Dear...: A Tribute to Button Mash
Chapter 3: Button Mash
Previous Chapter Next ChapterDear Button Mash,
if you're reading this, I am most likely dead. (Or in a coma. Whatever.) I just wanted you to know some stuff. I loved you sooo much. I know that in your eyes, I am just a kooky blank flank that can sing. To me you were special.I mean in a good way... anywho, I want you to know that I always admired you, even before we became friends. I have enclosed a picture of the first time that we played minecraft. Please treat it well. I know that by the time you read this my funeral is being planned. I want you to be there, even if you don't care. I would be happy if you were there when I got buried. I know that you will move on, that is if you even notice that I am gone. If you do care, ME ON. Just because I have quit living doesn't mean that you have to also. I want you to make sure that I am buried by a lake. I would never dream it any other way. Weird that I, a useless blank flank, spend so much time obsessing over death. Ah well. I alsways loved playing Minecraft, and I will tae to the grave that I should never EVER mine at night. Thank you for a life well lived. I feel like I have run out of stuff to say. Oh right! Tell my Fellow CC that I died singing. I meant CMC sorry. I lived a life with you, andI hope that you will miss me. At least a little. -><- Sweetie Belle.
Buttons mom sobbed. She had been on her way to Sweeties house, but had bumped into Rarity. She had a letter for Button, so they traded letters. She curled up in a ball on the floor. She whispered
'He loved you Sweetie. He loved you so much.'
Ending: Funeral
Almost everypony turned up for the funeral by the lake. It was a double funera, as the deceased were great friends. Button was buried in a box decorated to look like a creeper, while Sweetie was buried in one with the night sky on it.All of the ponies were crying. Two ponies stood alone.
'Sweetie really loved him.' Rarity was so quiet, nopony could hear her.
' Button loved her too. I don't understand who would do this though. It's clear that they were murded, but by who?'
Rarity looked at her. There was a long pause before she spoke, and when she did, her voice was sowworful.' I don't know. Perhaps we will never find out.'
Buton's mom stood there, thinking. Her last word that she said was one hat was loaded with misery, but also a good bit of curiosity. I shall leave you with this final word that she uttered.
' Perhaps.'
