JOURNEY OF THE
~~BREEZE

BY: JUSTIN DANIELS

The streets of Ponyville were clear of ponies... or so one would think.

Bolt sat next to The Golden Oak Library, waiting for Twilight to finish sorting the things out inside for their next adventure. What they didn't know, however, was that a mental patient from the local hospital was on the loose... again.

The patient was a light blue stallion with a messy gray mane. Unlike the regular ponies of Equestria, however, he was standing on all fours, hopping around and barking at Bolt, who was currently in his timberwolf form.

The barking went on for what felt like hours. Summer was resting on the doorknob to the library, holding back her laughter at Bolt's predicament.

"Look, Bolt! It seems you've made a rival here, already!" she snickered.

Bolt deadpanned at her before turning back towards the barking pony. Finally, after another five minutes of the constant barking and growling, Bolt decided enough was enough.

He looked both ways and smiled when he saw nobody was around. Then he lowered his head to the ground, removed the flower from his forehead, and was engulfed in the all-too-familiar glow of transformation.

Once he was human again, he slowly stood up while the patient stopped barking and stared at him wide-eyed. After that, Bolt lowered his face to where it was about a meter away from the stallion that stood up to his knees. With a menacing grin, Bolt stood there while the stallion before him cowered in fear.

"Boo."

The stallion quickly tucked his tail behind his legs and galloped towards the hospital on all fours, yapping like an injured dog.

With the patient out of the way, Bolt quickly placed the flower on his forehead, transforming himself into a timberwolf once again, and smiled triumphantly while Summer just stared at him with an amused expression on her face. "Was that really necessary?'

Bolt merely nodded his head and went back to waiting for Twilight to finish whatever she was doing in there.

Meanwhile...

Twilight was in the middle of combing her mane when she thought she saw a flash of light. Considering the fact that she was blinking at the time, however, she decided to dismiss it and continue glaring at one certain strand of hair that just wouldn't go down.

Spike groaned and rolled his eyes. "Come on, Twilight! In case you didn't notice, you still have to go rescue Rarity and the others!"

Twilight groaned and slammed the brush into the mirror before turning to leave. "Fine, then... I'll just have to use water, I guess..." With that, she went inside the bathroom while Spike planted his face into his right palm.
