Chapter 1: Us Little Ponies

Us Little Ponies

My name is Vibra, but I used to be known as Twilight Sparkle.

I used to be a happy mare, who lived in a nice sized tree with a baby dragon who loved me. Unfortunately, only I am left. My depression began days after the wedding of Princess Mi Amore Cadenza and my brother, Shining Armour. I recieved two letters from Princess Celestia about an upcoming wedding we had to attend. I still have the letters:

Dear Twilight Sparkle,

You and your friends are invited to attend the wedding of Princess Mi Amore Cadenza and Shining Armour.

-Princess Celestia

Dear Twilight Sparkle,

I have recieved a note from the royal couple about who they want to do what at the wedding.

Rarity will be designing the dresses, Applejack is in charge of making the food, Pinkie Pie will be making the decorations, Fluttershy is going to be conducting the Canterlot bird orchestra and Rainbow Dash is going to do a rainboom as soon as the couple say their 'I dos'. I hope you can attend this wedding!

-Princess Celestia

The train ride was long and boring. We had to ride all the way to Canterlot, the capital of Equestria. I was only there to give Shining Armor a piece of my mind at first, but soon I realized he was marrying Princess Cadence! I was so excited to see my foalsitter, who I hadn’t seen since... well... foalhood.

However, Cadence was acting strange that day.

“I hope I’m not... interrupting anything?” she muttered.

“Cadence! Sunshine, sunshine, ladybugs awake! Clap your hooves and do a little shake!” There was nothing but silence.

“What are you doing?”

“Cadence, it’s me, Twilight!”

“Uh huh.” Cadence trotted off.

“Huh? Why did she- CADENCE!” I yelled.

I saw her enter the bakery.

“Hiya, Princess Cadence!” Applejack yelled over the din of the other bakers.

“Please, call me Princess Mi Amore Cadenza.”

“Hiya, Princess Mi Amore Cadenza! Ah baked you some treats for your wedding.” She offered the princess some apple fritters. They looked delicious, and they were beautifully baked.

“Wanna bite?” she asked us.

“Wow, I, uh, love love love them!” Cadence took the fritters and wandered out of the door, not before dumping the treats into the bin.

“Ugh, maybe she should be called Princess Demandypants! ‘Please, call me Princess Mi Amore Cadenza!’ It brings a sick to my stomach!” I moaned to Rarity.

“I’m pretty sure any negativity is just stress, darling!”

“But seriously! ‘Call me Princess Mi Amore Cadenza!’”

“Did I hear somepony call my name?” she asked. Following her were Colgate, Twinkleshine and Lyra Heartstrings.

“Ooh, hello Princess Cadence-”

“Mi Amore Cadenza.”

“I mean, Princess Mi Amore Cadenza! I made some beautiful dresses for you...” Rarity showed the princess her dresses. “Lovely, aren’t they!”

I must admit, they were lovely. As Cadence laid her eyes on the dresses, all covered in glitter and sequins, she glared at her.

“Make them a different color. NOW.”

“Fine, your opinion, you lucky alicorn princess.”

Rarity was a bit upset, but she was willing to do it for the princess.

That night, I sat down in the Canterlot Cafe with my friends.

“Cadence is evil!” I told them, only to hear them gasping.

“Darling, you know what I said earlier. Any negativity is stress! If I were an alicorn getting married, I’d be extremely irritated and stressed out too! Leave her be, darling!”

I looked up to the stars. There, written in the sky, was Cadence’s name. My heart stopped dead. I wandered inside of the Canterlot Castle, and I heard Shining and “Mi Amore Cadenza” arguing.

“Your sister is so possessive of you! Grr! I’m fed up with trying to get rid of her... uh, I mean, reason with her-wait... are you getting one of your... headaches?” I saw her cast a magic spell on my brother.

Then at the practice ceremony, the bridesmaids were replaced with my friends... and when I told everyone Cadence was evil, they just shunned me. That night, I was left crying on the floor of the castle.

“He was my big brother best friend... forever....

And now we’ll never do anything... together...” I cried. Suddenly I spotted Cadence. “I’m so sorry, Cadence...”

“You will be!”

The next thing I knew, I was imprisoned in the chambers in Canterlot. The laughter of Cadence was getting louder and louder.

“The mines of Canterlot were once home to greedy unicorns and now nopony uses them... and you’ll have to catch me if you want to defeat me!” she laughed. After a few attempts, I smashed one of the walls of the cave. There was the shivering Cadence, with her hair ruined.

“Twilight! It’s me... the real Cadence! The one you were talking to is an impostor!”

“Likely story.”

“Sunshine, sunshine...”

“Ladybugs awake...”

“Clap your hooves...”

“And do a little shake!” We giggled.

“We gotta get outta here, Twilight!”

Meanwhile, I could hear fake Cadence singing.

“This day is going to be perfect...

The kind of day of which I dreamed since I was small...

Everypony will gather round, think I look lovely in my gown!

What they don’t know is that I have fooled them all......” laughed fake Cadence.

Cadence was angered by this, and unleashed a beam of deep blue, blowing up the cave and leaving a hole in the castle. I was shocked. How the hay could Cadence do that when I couldn't? We moved the rubble back into its place, and we galloped towards the ceremony.

"Back off, faker!" I screeched at the fake Cadence.

Fake Cadence began crying falsely.

"Why does she have to be so possessive- uh... how could she do this and ruin my wedding?"

"It's not YOUR WEDDING." Cadence had a messy mane, a scratch on her face and an angry look.

"Fine. You got out of my trap." Evil Cadence began to create a green forcefield as she revealed herself to be Queen Chrysalis.

"Right you are Princess, it's not my weddi-"

"CHRYSALIS!

"I am the queen of changelings, and you're the princess of ponies. Watcha gonna do about it?"

"Defeat you." Her magic surrounded both her and Chrysalis as they disintegrated into dust. All that was left was Celestia's boots and crown.

"Tia!" I wailed. The castle had crumbled and Equestria... was gone. That's how we fell...

One month later…

Applejack and I were the only ponies who were left of the Mane 6 who had barely escaped the clutches of the Tartarus chambers.

Applejack was in tears, watching a leaf fall off of a tree. Sweet Apple Acres was gone. Applejack was hammering a mediocre tombstone onto the floor.

"Look at Equestria... ah should've listened to ya. Forgive me and the others?" cried Applejack.

"Any day."

"We gotta free the others from the imprisonment of the chambers of Tartarus!"

"Tartarus? Are you kidding me?" I frowned. Was she crazy?

"You can do it, Twi!"

We began to gallop towards the biggest mountains in Equestria: Mount Alicorna, which lead to Tartarus.

I breathed heavily as my hoof touched the crumbling rock of the volcanos leading to Tartarus. The steaming heat of the volcano caused me to jump in the air.

"What are you? A mare or a mouse?" taunted Applejack.

"I'm a mare." I bit my lip hard as I began to canter towards the centre of the volcano. There was six doors. A purple one, a pink one, an orange one, a yellow one, a blue one and a white one. There was a sign, a purple one that was slightly damaged.

"The door is the orange one with a yellow mane,

And helping others she won't try to restrain." the sign read.

"That's you, Applejack! We gotta go through the door!" I exclaimed.

Through that door, there was another sign.

"Celestia is forever your friend,

And the next door is at the very end."

My hooves touched the ground hard as the many volcanos fell and the lava disappeared. Walking across the cracked floor, five flashes of white appeared over me. After the final flash, I was an alicorn. Tears streamed across my face in pain.

"Twilight! Ah never seen anything like it!" cried Applejack.

Three hours later…

Pinkie Pie was reading her Spanish dictionary when Applejack and I burst through the chamber walls.

"Buena tarde, amigos. Gracias por parar cerca a ayudar," said Pinkie Pie.

"Uh, thanks, guys…" murmured Spike.

"You're awesome, Twi! Thanks, AJ!" shouted Rainbow Dash.

A vision of Celestia appeared over us.

"My little ponies… and dragon… help us…" it whispered.

"Celestia needs me! I'm coming!!!!" shouted Spike, throwing himself into the depths of Tartarus.

"Spike! No!" we all screamed in unison, only to see our number one assistant disappear forever.

One week later…

Equestria's restored, thanks to my assistant. Spike is gone, and Luna is keeping Equestria in balance. One day, we will find hope. One day.

"Oh Spike…" I cried. It was his funeral today. "Spike… was my number one assistant. He was born when Rainbow Dash here did a sonic rainboom… and he sent my letters to Princess Celestia. He gave his life up for Equestria."

"Spike was an inspiration to us all. He loved me. He cherished me each day. He gave up everything for me. I'm so glad that he did this for us." Rarity weeped.

"Spike was awesome! He wouldn't be here if it wasn't for my awesome… SONIC RAINBOOM!" Dash cheered. Everypony glared. "Sorry."

"Spike was super duper fun and I hope the party never ends!" Pinkie Pie laughed.

"And… um… I think Spike was very helpful." Fluttershy whispered.

"Spike, ah hope you and Celestia will bless us all in heaven," said Applejack.

We all smiled. He did it for us. Us little ponies.
