The Fall of Equestria
Chapter 1: The awakening
My master, my god, my ruler, Higrid. The words rang around inside Higrids skull. It was the last thing he had heard before the tomb was sealed for the next four-thousand years. It was the last thing he could recall before he decided to seal his army off from the rest of the world. But he was awake now. Higrid stood, taking in every thing from his surroundings. His Tomb had not opened yet. It was dark oh so very very dark. Then a blinding light came from his right side.
He slowly rised, he looked out and saw another of his kind standing next ot him. "My leige, we have awoken". Higrid looked out in front of him and saw that all of the liche preists were still in slumber. "Shall i awaken them?" asked the Hierophant to his side. "Yesssss..." the word dragged out his mouth. At that moment the Hierophant stabbed his war staff into the ground and held out his hand.
They slowly climbed out of their stone beds. The twelve high preists were the first to re-animate. They slowly grabbed their weapons and put on their dressings. Next was the liche preist's came too. eighty-four liche guard and twelve high preists stood in their ranks, at one side of him stood his two personal guard. And to the other stood his Hierophant and thy Herald. The eerie lighting was perfect for the situation. It leaked on to the gold walls of the tomb kings throne.
"Awaken the troops, raise you legions and prepare for...WAR!" He yeld.
His hollow words rang out through the catacombs. "Were my demands not clear? RAISE THE LEGIONS AND PREPARE FOR WAR!!!". Again the words bounced around the stone walls, echoes were heard and dust fell. "Master, who are we to fight? All our enemies have preobably turned to dust." Higrid examined his staff. He looked at the engravings on the handle. He studied how they glowed green, he turned.
He moved very fast. For his size (Nearly eight feet) he was indeed very agile. The tomb king had his mind set on one thing and one thing only, opening the tomb. But he was soon stopped by Triala (Hierophant). "Master where are you heading?" the Hierophant asked. "To open the gates that hold us inside" he replied. "But it could put the entire tomb at ri-" Triala was cut off by his commander "Out of my way!". "But at least wait for your guard!" Triala yeld. Higrid looked behind him to see his guards rushing to his sides.
Before he could say another word the Herald Cried out "I have gaized into reality and saw our day and age!". All of the yellow sour colored skelaton priests turned to look. "We have been awakened early!" he yelled yet again. "How early?" Higrid asked without hesitation. "We have been asleep for only four hundred years!" said the Herald. Higrid would have been filled with anger if he still had said emotions. "Who was the first to awake?" he said in a low voice. But he said this in a Rhetorical fasion for he knew that the first to awaken was always triala. "Me Sire" said he in an almost human voice.
"I awoke after Hearing a rather loud bang above the tomb." the Hierophant told. "What? Speak Louder!" Higrid yelled. "I AWOKE AFTER A LOUD NOISE HEARD BY THYSELF!" Triala screamed and took an aggressive stance. "What kind of noise" said Higrid walking straight up to Triala and placing his face inches away from himself (Note he had to look down a bit because of the fact he is half a foot taller than the Hierophant). "It sounded as though something had dropped very suddenly". Higrid walked away about ten metre away. "Is that all that made you wake me, IS IT!" he turned pointed at the Hierophant.
"No, no it wasnt. I saw something" he spat out. Higrid heard this and walked toward him. "You saw something?" he said to him in a voice that was quiet but loud enough for all to hear. "Yes, I saw something". "Well what was it you saw that made you think you should wake me" said the herald who was now standing next to him. "Well what ever made the noise pobably opened the tomb". The fire in the tomb kings eyes brightened, "The tomb has been opened!" Higrid turned and ran as fast as one could.
He looked at the tomb gate and saw a gap at least 2 metre's in lenght and 3 metre's in height. "Triala" the tomb king said softly. "Yes my master" he replied. "What did you do once you saw the gate was open?" he asked. "I went through the gap" said he as his gaze fell to the floor. Higrid picked up Triala by the neck "What did you see!" he said as he raised his fist ready to strike. He probably would have hit him if it were not for the Herald grabbing him and pulling him back. "I saw, I saw a pony." Triala said.
At that moment all of the skelatons spoke to each other. Hearing the news Higrid yelled "RAISE YOUR LEGIONS AND PREPARE FOR WAR!!!". At that moment all of the liche hoard ran off to the tombs. Only the two guard, Higrid and Triala remaind. "The pony was a unicorn and was wight with a purple mane. She was runnig away by the time i saw her with what looked like a dragon on her back." he told the tombking. "Anything else you need to tell me before you aid the liche priests in ressurecting our army."
"Their was another pony with them. An earth pony with a jet black color to him and a firey red mane."
