Prolouge
Twilight's P.O.V.
Twilight ran up the stairs of the Crystal Palace, tried a gravity reversing spell and slid all the way up. She turned to tell her assistant, Spike, and then remembered that he wasn't here. Panting, she reached the top and saw the Crystal Heart shining on the platform. When she stepped on it, a wall of black Crystals surrounded her and the crystal heart disappeared. "Sombra, enough with your tricks!" Twilight shouted. She tried to teleport out of the barrier, and was successful, if only for a moment. The wall's dark magic thrust her back into the wall and she slammed herself against the wall.
Sombra appeared out of smoke and said, "Well, well, well, it's Twilight Sparkle herself! The faithful student of Princess Celestia. Well see how you can get through THIS one!"He tossed out some black magic and a door appeared.
Twilight stepped through it and found herself... back in Canterlot?! Princess Celestia was sitting on her throne writing answers to letters she had received about Twilight's failure. "Princess Celestia?" Celestia turned, no kindness in her eyes, or mercy that was showing. "Princess, I don't understand and the door and-"
"Go Twilight Sparkle." Celestia said.
"Go? Go where?" Twilight replied shakily.
"It doesn't matter where. Just away from Canterlot. You are a disgrace!" Celestia spat the last two words at Twilight, making her flinch.
"But, Princess, I don't understand!" Twilight protested.
"YOU FAILED THE TEST, TWILIGHT!" Celestia used the royal canterlot voice, blasting Twilight a good few feet away.
"Princess NO!" Twilight yelled. The princess' horn lit up and a blast of yellow magic brought her back to ponyville, crying on her bed in Golden Oaks. She was trapped in Sombra's door to her darkest fears...
Sombra's P.O.V.
Sombra watched as Twilight's tears started spilling as she saw her worst fear come true. Her sanity was about to crack when Sombra put a hoof on her, seeing her eyes glazed over, turned into smoke and disappeared up Twilight's open mouth. 'what is it you want most?' Sombra though as he searched Twilight's brain. He saw a picture of Twilight being an alicorn and smiled. THIS was what he was looking for. Holding on to Twilight's memories, he escaped and put a 'trance' spell on her. Her eyes started closing and she fainted, her eyes fluttering closed. He worked his magic on her, producing a pair of lavender wings that matched Twilight's color. He opened her eyes slightly and saw the red and green pupils flowing with light purple contrails. He smirked and told her to get up. She got up immediately and his spirit was sucked into Twilight's body. Inside she explored her thoughts.There were 'Celestia doesn't want me.' and 'No, that's no true!' Her mind seemed to be having a battle between her dark sides and her light sides. The dark side was apparently winning as Sombra saw more and more of the dark and brooding thoughts appear. Finally darkness had won, except for one super-bright good though which was, 'MY FRIENDS WON'T ABANDON ME!!!" Sombra growled and put a fear spell on the though, causing it to tremble and change to a dark thought. Sombra escaped and saw Twilight's eyes narrow with anger. He took off the spells she put on her and her eyes began to be angry, leaving no trace of dark purple left. As she stood up, Twilight said, "Celestia doesn't want me." Twilight turned to Sombra and said, "I want you to be my teacher, Sombra." Sombra, surprised by this proposal, said, "Of course Eclipse Shadow." And with that, student and teacher walked into the shadows of the corrupted Crystal Palace.

Eclipse P.O.V
Eclipse wandered through the streets of a now corrupted Crystal Empire, smiling a wicked smile every time she saw a blood pony beating a crystal one. Her black coat shone in the moonlight, her slit pupiled eyes scanning the scenes going on. Her long black horn lit up with a silver aura when she saw a Crystal pony slacking the pace. A silver whip formed as she hit the Crystal pony, causing a spray of blood from the pony's flank. Eclipse's huge wings fanned open and she took off on a flight, her pet phoenix, Shadow, circling her. She had magic lessons with Sombra after this. Her red eyes glowed as she approached the Crystal Palace, and Shadow took off for her nest to find her mate, Shade. She reflected on the short time she had spent being Twilight Sparkle. She ran from it as often as she could, as the past was horrible. She than reflected on all the things she'd done as Eclipse. Corrupted her friends, turned Spike into the commander of her and Sombra's blood army, changing the colors of the flag to blood red and silver. She shuddered as her thoughts turned once again to her former self, Twilight Sparkle, and the adventures she'd had as a filly, defeating Nightmare Moon, who was now actually her mentor in dark magic with out crystals, defeating Chrysalis, who now mentored her in shape-shifting. And defeating Discord, the draconequus, who was, in fact, still stone. You might be wondering why all the other villains are alive while Discord is still stone. Sombra said that the chaos magic would affect the Crystal Empire in Sombra knows how ways! Anyways, Eclipse reached the Crystal Castle, and there, eyes flickering with dark magic, was King Sombra, her mentor.
He said, " First we'll review what you learned yesterday. He produced a magical crystal pony, dragged straight from the dungeon. Twilight's old kindness suddenly fought for control and Eclipse helped the Crystal Pony up.
He said, " Thank you Lord!" And he ran off, leaving her with a very angry Sombra. Gulp. This wasn't going to end well for Eclipse. Sombra raised his forehoof and struck Eclipse, despite the fact that she was an alicorn and much more powerful than him. He conjured a spell and suddenly, Eclipse's insides felt like jelly as Sombra exercised his authority over her. Eclipse was rolling on the floor as Sombra's spell cast out any trace of Twilight Sparkle. Eclipse stood up. The contrails flickered more powerfully now, as Twilight's kind spirit had been killed.
"Come now, Eclipse, let us review training." Sombra conjured the same crystal pony and Eclipse shot it down without hesitation.
A Trip To Tartarus

Eclipse P.O.V.
Eclipse's hooves echoed in the land of Tartarus. She was there on a mission. A mission to destroy Celestia. Sombra had said that Tartarus trips were the fastest way to travel, and he had taught her about it. This was Eclipse's first trip to Tartarus without Sombra by her side, and so far she was doing well. A while later, she popped out of Tartarus and onto Celestia's throne, right when she came in. Celestia's eyes widened. "Who are you?" She said
"I am Eclipse Shadow, formerly known as Twilight Sparkle, princess."
"Twilight, no!"
"I am NOT TWILIGHT, I AM ECLIPSE!!!" Eclipse used the royal canterlot voice and Celestia was stunned. She back away, ran, but before she could get very far away, Eclipse appeared right in front of her, and shot a dark hex towards Celestia's wings, which were opening for flight. She called on her friends and the corrupted versions of her friends appeared, with the Elements of Crystal strapped on. Eclipse activated them and WHOOM! Sent Celestia to the sun, and her doom.
Eclipse walked off. An evil smirk plastered on her face. The contrails of dark magic flickered as she teleported back to Crystal Kingdom.
Thinking
Eclipse P.O.V.
Eclipse's thoughts echoed as loudly as her hoofs on Tartarus. Some were dark and brooding, while others, filled with doubt. Doubt was NOT a feeling Eclipse liked to feel. Yet others still, were filled with remorse and regret of the friendships she had lost. With Luna, Celestia, and even her friends, which were now no longer ponies, but corrupted puppets of death and carnage. She shook her head. These were not thoughts that should be thought by the apprentice of a powerful shadow master. She shook off the doubt and walked on
