It was evening at a cafe. However, something strange was going on. What it looked like, were people arguing. In the cafe, two people were arguing at one table while two other people were arguing at another, and even two others were arguing. However, what they weren't noticing was the green mist-like fog on the ground, along with what seemed to be singing.

At a separate table, three girls, with hoods on them and gems on their necks, were the ones that were apparently singing. As they finished, the two sitting next to each other took off their hoods revealing their faces. One had light blue and blue hair, and the last had purple and light blue hair.  The one girl sighed. "That was barely worth the effort, Adagio. I'm tired of fast food. I need a meal." The one girl complained.

The girl, Adagio, took of her hood and looked at them. "The energy in this world isn't the same as in Equestria. We can only gain so much power here."

"Ugh, I wish we haven't got banished to this awful place!"

"Really, I love it here."

"For realzies? because I think this place is the worst." The girl next to the purple-haired one commented.

"I think you're the worst, Sonata."

"Oh, yeah? Well, I think you're..."

As both the purple hair girl, Aria, and Sonata began to argue more, Adagio became annoyed and groaned. "I'll tell you one thing, being stuck here with you two isn't making this world any more bearable." Adagio groaned.

At this point, a flash came from outside the window and Adagio noticed. As she saw it, she then headed outside with her two friends and saw something that shocked them. What they saw was what seemed to be a black figure in the air casting what seemed to be magic at something. At that moment, a Rainbow appeared and began to strike what the black thing was casting at. When this happened, Adagio felt something. She gasped on realizing what it was as she grinned before asking, "Did you feel that? Do you know what that is?"

 At that moment, they begin to think what it was. "uh..." Sonata replied.

Adagio then grabbed Aria and had a serious look. "It's Equestrian magic."

"But this world doesn't have Equestrian magic"

"It does now." At that point, Adagio, Sonata, and Aira then had serious looks and began to stare at where the magic came from. "And we're going to use it to make everyone in this pathetic world adore us!" Adagio finished. At that point, the three then began to head into a different direction, which made it look like they are heading to wherever they reside at.

At that moment, a figure in an ally saw the three girls. He, saw their gems on their necks shimmer before they left the location. He then used his communicator. "Dude, do you copy?"

"I told you, call me by the name he gave us, Delta."

"Ugh, do you copy, Delta? What is your status update?"

"I left the area where I was assigned to in fright Alpha, I-I-I-I-I saw a human turn into a she-demon and get hit by some Rainbow and some human with cat like eyes attacked the she-demon also. I fled for safety of my life."

"Okay, calm down, just return to HQ. I know you fear death but I just found three girls with some sort of Dark Magic, and they saw what you saw."

At that point, he heard Delta gasp. "Dark Magic? ....Alpha, we need to return to HQ fast, we need to report this to boss."

"Roger. Meet you back at base."

At that point, the mystery human disappeared in a flash. At that moment, Adagio, Sonata, and Aria then began to head back to where they reside. They are going to find the source of the dark magic.

Few days after the war of Zelarfar, Nyx and Dark Nyx were in their room of their new home, Twilight's Palace. During the time, Nyx was sharing a story with Dark Nyx, after finding a image of the cmc, which looked to be as a different species. Through Nyx's story, she was telling the story about how She, Twilight, and Spike went to the human world to retrieve the tiara of magic.

Nyx began with how it all started, with Sunset Shimmer coming and stealing the crown and going through the magic mirror. Next she told what the human world is like. Dark Nyx found it cool that their counterparts are humans instead of ponies. Nyx then mentioned about what the mane 5 are like.

As the story went on, Dark Nyx was feeling mad that Sunset was doing a lot of horrible and unspeakable things. It reminded her of Diamond Tiara, and how much of a bully she is. But she felt bad at the end that the reason why Sunset was doing it, is because she didn't understand friendship. As Nyx concluded the story, Tex looked at her. "So, let me get this straight, you and our friends aren't ponies in that world, but are humans, and creatures like, Dragons, Phoenixes, and Centaurs don't exist?"

"Bingo."

"Someday, I will like to visit that world."

Nyx then sighed. "We can't, the portal to their world is closed for 30 moons, my guess, we only have 26-24 moons left until it reopens again."

At that point, Nyx and Dark Nyx were called down for lunch, without further ado, they decided to go eat.

At an apartment, the three girls were looking at a map they got. During their encounter with a strange magic one year ago, Adagio, Sonata, and Aria were desperate to find the source and it's location. Even though they deducted that the magic is Equestrian Magic from Equestria, they haven't seen signs of it at all the past year. As they were looking at the map, Aria let out a groan. "Ugh, this is hopeless Adagio, the Equestria Magic is gone now. It's only been a year since we saw it, and we haven't seen the location of its source since. I mean, the only magic we could find is that phony magic." Aria complained.

"There is a high chance that the magic still exist here. Even though those phonies tricked us with their magic that one time, but we have to keep looking."

Sonata rolled her eyes. "It's not like something, or someone would help us."

At that point, a vortex on the ceiling opened up, startling the three. When it opened, they thought a portal was opening up for them to return to their former home, however, it was like it was delivering something. The map was flying in the air, the three were covering themselves from the strong wind like force. "Wh-what's going on, Adagio?" Aria asked.

"I don't know."

At that moment, a relic dropped on the ground, along with a note, and the map, which now had a circle on it in one area. As the vortex closed, the three walked up to the little relic, and the note, on the note it said, ‘Looking for magic to steal? Join the League of Insanity, just press the button on the relic’. Knowing that something was up, Adagio pressed the button and the relic started to turn on, and a hologram came up of a pony wearing a mask. He then looked at them. "Well, it looks like my Holographic communicator got to you three? Name's Handsome Plaided, the leader of The League of Insanity. Who are you three?" Plaided asked.

"I am Adagio Dazzle, this here is Sonata Dusk, and this is Aria Blaze."

"Ah, so you are the three that my spy said that are hunting magic, even though you are banished from Equestria."

At this point, the three looked dumbfounded. He had a spy sent to look after them? They began to wonder if there was more Equestrian Magic in the world they are in than they thought. However, Plaided said he had a secret way into the world, even though the portal is closed for a long while. "Now, if you are wondering where that magic you saw came from, go to Canterlot High. Apparently, that is the source, however, the spy there fled in fear of his own life after seeing a being turn into a she-demon."

Sonata then looked at him "What if the magic already left when whoever came here that had that magic left this world?"

"Magic can be spread, like a plague spreading from one pony to the next, or, in this case, one human, to the other human."

At that point, Adagio made a grin. She now knows where the magic came from. As they continued their conversation, Adagio came with a plan. Just then, they saluted to Plaided. Plaided then allowed them into the League and the holographic turned off. They had to keep it to contact him. "Girls, pack your bags, we are going to school." Adagio said evilly

It was a sunny day at Canterlot High. Many students were wandering the halls, talking to one another, some carrying boxes, some going to their classes, so forth. However, all the students still remember what happened that one year where "that" happened. In the auditorium many students were working on what seemed to be posters for what was a upcoming event. Luckily, Coach Tirek, the head coach of all sports and the gym teacher, was there to keep an eye on them, for what Principal Celestia said, "for Sunset Shimmer's protection", due to what happened last year.

Sunset Shimmer was offering to help some of the students. Some said no, some asked her to go away, some denied, and some asked her to give them time. However, Sunset was feeling grief. She was feeling like the students wanted her out of the school due to what she did. However, eight students forgave her. As she went to ask her formal friends, Snips and Snails if they wanted help, they were very polite and asked her to not bother them, due them being used by her. Sunset Shimmer sighed. Ugh, why did this need to happen to me? Sunset thought, only to be broken out of the thought. "SUNSET SHIMMER, OVER HERE!" Pinkie shouted to her friend.

When hearing this, she saw her eight friends over by the door. Since last year, thanks to Twilight, and her daughter Nyx for making her learn about friendship, the eight girls were proud to call her their friend. As Sunset was walking to them, she heard the students, yet again, talk about her. Sunset then sighed as she walked over to the eight of them. "I had no idea the whole School would be here." Sunset sighed.

Applebloom then looked at her "Well, ah did send you a text warning you about it, and coach Tirek did warn you."

Tirek then nodded. "I did warn you. It seemed what happened at the fall formal, the students didn't forget." 

At that point, Pinkie then showed Sunset the poster they made. "Quite the eye-catching advertisement, if I do say myself." Rarity said.

"And it smells like cake."

Fluttershy then looked at Pinkie. "It does?" She asked. 

At that point, Pinkie bought it close to Fluttershy for her to smell it. As she was smelling it, Pinkie accidently bought it to close to her face, and moved it. Just then, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo began to snicker, while Tirek began to chuckle. "I used frosting instead of paste."

"Uh, Fluttershy, you've got a little somethin', uh.."

At that point, Fluttershy began to wipe her face, and looked at them. "Did I get it?"

"Heh, not exactly."

When Sunset wiped off the cake off Fluttershys face, Celestia, and Luna came into the auditorium and got the students attention. During previous months, most of the students knew that Vice Principal Luna was out of school for a couple months after hearing news that her son had entered a five month coma. But they heard recently that her son reawoken and is in rehab as they been told, however, when he was release, he rarely came to visit. "Good afternoon, students. I just wanted to tell you all how pleased I am that so many of you are going to participate in the first ever Canterlot High School Musical Showcase!" Principal Celestia announced, while the students cheered.

Just then, Scootaloo then looked at her friends. "Let's just hope she doesn't mention the Fall Formal." Scootaloo whispered.

"I just hope she doesn't." Sunset Shimmer whispered.

At that moment, Celestia then continued as the students quieted down. "This is a wonderful opportunity to raise money for all our after-school programs here at CHS. So keep working on those signs and posters. I think it's going to be one of the most exciting events we've had at CHS since the Fall Formal."

At this point, Sunset gasped, and all the students then glared at her. As they glared, Sunset Shimmer put her head in her hands and slid down to the ground. Tirek then noticed it and he wasn't happy that the students always glare at her whenever mentioning the fall formal. Tirek heard about the fall formal incident from Celestia, and he made a promise that he would make sure the students will stop. Tirek then glared at them "Stop glaring at Sunset Shimmer like that. If I catch you all doing that again, I will make you run 20 laps around the track in the field house!" Tirek told them.

When Tirek came to the school for the first time, he was known to be a great gym teacher and coach. He always helped students during gym. Whenever someone mentions the fall formal and students start to glare at Sunset, he was known to become assertive and make students do extra laps in the field house for doing such a thing. At that point, he looked at the nine of them. "I suggest you go someplace else right now. Just for Sunset Shimmer." he said to them.

They all nodded and decided to head to the music room. At that moment, Spell Nexus came in. "Celestia, the new students just arrived. They are waiting in the office. Man they got good singing voices, but it was kinda distracting a little."

"Coming. Come, sis."

With that, the two principals then began to head to Celestia's office. However, they didn't know, that a new chain of events were going to happen.

In Equestria, at a hidden fortress. Plaided was seen in his office talking to three ponies wearing masks. He was giving orders to them. It seemed like he was up to something. As they left through a portal. Plaided removed his mask to take a quick drink of his favorite drink. Usually, he doesn't reveal his actual face to anypony due to what happened to him during that one event. As he finished his drink, the holographic communicators call light was blinking. He then sighed. "Ugh, who is calling me now?" Plaided grumbled  as he turned on the communicator, only to see Aria, Sonata, and Adagio. "Ah, you girls. What do you need?" Plaided asked.

"We enrolled in the school you mentioned, today is our first day. We are gonna try to come with a plan to find the magic and make the whole school adore us."

"Excellent you three. Now, you may need to use your "dark magic" to find out who are the ones with the magic. Try to find the humans who have the magic in them. Remember, don't let your guard down. You can't raise any Suspicion."

"Got it, sir. We will contact you when we find them."

"Okay. Get going."

After the call, the communication device ended it's contact.  Plaided then began to grin. They made it to the school. However, his concern was that the portal by the school might reopen, however it wasn't time. He then send his two best spies to the human world, just incase something bad happens.  As they left, one member came in. Shee had an anger look on her face. "SIR! WHY DID YOU SEND DUST STORM AND STRONG HOOF?!" The member said

"Watch your mouth, Star Storm. I am your boss, you don't speak to me like that, secondly, you screwed up last time on YOUR objective. Now be quiet and leave my office."

"Why? Just because you hide your face behind that mask doesn't mean that I...ACK!"

At that moment, Plaided shot magic at her causing her to jump. From what the league of Insanity knows, they do know they do not ever talk about Plaided's face. If one did, they will be sorry. "DON'T YOU DARE SPEAK TO ME LIKE THAT!!!" Plaided shouted.

At that point, Star Storm fled in terror and Plaided began to calm down. He knew that Star was determined to redeem herself, but do to her previous objective, she wasn't ready. As Plaided was reading about Adagio Dazzle's history, he was getting a better understanding of her, and her friends background. However, one thing was shown in her bio. In one part, it showed she had a best friend she friended. It was a pony, As he read, he began to learn more about Adagio and this pony. However, he then saw that this pony and another pony that is well known in Equestria's past banished her and the others.

As he finished, Plaided knew that the one banisher was deceased, while the other was somehow alive, which he heard after numerous reports dealing with a group of ponies. Soon, Plaided began to fear, that something was going to happen, and was going to mess with the Dazzlings' plan.
