Lyra was just an ordinary unicorn mare who attended CMA (Canterlot Magic Academy). On the day of the finals for the Sophomore Year, all unicorns were to summon their own familiars, who would aid them the rest of their lives.

When Lyra ended up summoning a human from another world, however, things quickly got out of hoof, as they would say. To top it all off, her former obsessions with humans already left her with a bad reputation, which only worsened when she realized that the human had no special talents, unlike what her books claimed.

Justin was a simple jobless man in America, who often had, what one would call, "relationship troubles". Now, after being dragged into a world filled with anthropomorphic ponies and other mythological creatures, how can he cope with the fact that he is no longer able to return to his home world? And with a mare who treats him like dirt, how will he be able to defend himself or her, when he happens to be weaker than even the children of this world?

And for so long, I haven't even realized that I forgot to put in the credits!

This story is highly inspired by the Anime Series, "Zero no Tsukaima" (A.K.A., "The Familiar of Zero"), which is a product of "Media Factory", written by Noboru Yamaguchi, and illustrated by "Eiji Usatsuka". It was also temporarily translated in English by "Seven Seas Entertainment", but only up to the end of Season 1, and a small portion of Season 2.

Due to the closeness of the anime, I've also added the "Crossover" tag.

As a quick reminder, I've put this story on TEMPORARY hiatus, until I've cleaned my plate of stories I'm working on. Note that it will still receive chapters, but only occasionally, until I can safely update frequently.

In the mean time, my primary targeted stories to update will be "Journey to Equestria: Homeward Bound", "Journey of the Breeze", and "From Beyond the Badlands: Tales of a Monster Hunter". If you are into adventures, I would recommend the three of them! If you're a fan of Zelda, I'd recommend "Journey of the Breeze". If you're a fan of "Monster Hunter", I'm sure you can figure out which one I'd recommend!
