Chapter 1: Scooty Booty

Scooty Booty

Rainbow Dash inhaled the crisp Autumn air. It was lightly scented with grass that was recently mowed and cupcakes, being that she was in proximity of Sugar Cube Corner. She shot a glance at a cloud directly above her. Her relaxed mood turned into a devious one as she unfolded her wings faster than anypony could and literally bolted to it. Using her body as a projectile, she folded her limbs to her sides, wings still rippling the air around her. She penetrated the cloud with ease, being it only constructed of vapor from recently collected water.

She landed with a smile stretched across her maw. Disrupting clouds was still fun. Despite continuing that sort of practice since she was, well, Scootaloo's age, she still had tons of fun doing it. Speaking of Scootaloo, the little orange mare was applauding her. She stared at Rainbow with loving eyes, the memory of the night she was taken in by Rainbow as her sister still embedded in her mind.

Rainbow Dash trotted over to Scootaloo. "So what'd you think of that Scoots?"

As she expected, Scootaloo gave a little "Epic!" causing Rainbow to laugh.

"Glad you enjoyed it." She told her as she walked in the general direction of Sugar Cube Corner. "You comin'?"

Scootaloo stared at her, in a moment of confusion before she caught on and hopped up. "Yeah!"

The two matched their strides and talked about their usual topics. You know, flying techniques, their favorite foods, and Scootaloo's favorite subject, how awesome her adopted big sister was. This continued until they reached Sugar Cube Corner, where they were greeted with their ADD encased friend Pinkie Pie. After going on about how she thinks a bass cannon and a cello should be combined and used as a real instrument, she finally stuck them in a booth cozily place in the corner where the wall and the shop's front window connected.

"So, how's school?" Rainbow asked casually.

"Oh! It's cool as usual..." Scootaloo replied, playing with the salt shaker that was neatly placed in the center of the table.

"That's cool..." Rainbow commented nonchalantly.

The two sat in silence until Pinkie came back, ripping through the field of quiet with her loud mouth and laughter. She gave them a cupcake each, then continued to blabber on about the "Bello" or "Cello Cannon" idea she came up with.

By the time they finished, the sun was touching the horizon, causing it to splash warm colors on the picturesque town. Rainbow walked Scootaloo home, like she did every night when they hung out. They stopped by the door that lead to the depths of her abode and chatted a bit.

"Fun day, eh kid?" She said, smiling.

"eheh, yeah." She agreed, bummed that she would have to enter the empty house once agian.

Rainbow glanced around to find no one was around. She smiled and nuzzled Scoots. Scootaloo smiled and took part in it. When it was over, Rainbow leaned in to kiss her forehead and tell her goodnight, but a loose piece of cobblestone removed all friction in her stance and she missed her original target.

She now locked lips with the foal she called her sister. She pulled away immediately, an intense blush painted her cheeks. Scootaloo stood there, shocked and confused by what had just occurred. When everything registered, blood rushed to her cheeks and stained them with nearly the same shade that Rainbow Dash endured.

They stared at each other just for a moment before both screamed "I GOTTA GO!" in unity. Scootaloo bolted into her house, and like before, literally bolted, while Rainbow Dash still stood on her porch awkwardly. Though she knows what just happened, two things rushed through her mind. The first was how badly she scarred the little filly that looked at her like her hero, and two.... Scootaloo was her first kiss.

Those words shot around her skull, the more they bounced, the more it frustrated her. She wasn't angry, but she didn't exactly want to her first kiss to be planted on someone half her age!

Like you would expect, she had trouble sleeping that night. The thought of her lips locking with Scootaloo's only made her blush and feel disgusted that she even did so much as that! This thought flooded her dreams the entire night.

The next morning, late and groggy, she emerged from her bed. She did her daily morning rituals. Shower, eat breakfast, brush her teeth, and comb her mane. After this was completed she left her cloud haven lacking memory of what went on the previous day. She thought another day with Scootaloo wouldn't hurt as long as she had nothing planned, which in this case, she did not. She waltzed over to Scootaloo's house, and followed the cobblestone path to her front door when she kicked a stone. She looked down at it and the memory of what happened last night flooded back.

Summoning up courage, she put on a sheepish grin and knocked on the door. After twenty seconds or so, the orange filly opened the door and peeked through the door.

"O-oh! Hi Rainbow Dash..." she greeted, her voice shaking.

"Hi Scootaloo, I just wanted to tell you that what happened yesterday was an accident, so uh.... yeah..." Rainbow told her.

Scootaloo opened the door, revealing herself fully. She had a messy mane and dark circles under her eyes. "Yeah... I understand..." She told her.

Rainbow chuckled and kissed her on her forehead. This surprised Scootaloo.

"That was what I meant to do." She said, smiling.

Scootaloo smiled back and invited her in for some tea, Rainbow debated on the subject before accepting and walking in.

Rainbow stopped before entering the house fully. "Just uh... don't tell anyone about this incident, 'kay sport?" She asked, Scootaloo agreed with a nod.

Feather Weight removed his film from his camera, and flipped through it. THIS was gold!
