It's been seven years since the death of the Element of Kindness, and although life continues as normal for most, there is always the underlying fear. The fear of what might happen if a new enemy rose that was too powerful for conventional methods to work. Some would call the scared populace paranoid, but in this case, their terror is not misplaced. A new adversary starts to rise from the darkest pits of the Everfree Forest, and is bent on getting his revenge against somepony that everypony assumed was dead.
