Time was moving by fairly quick for the residents of Ponyville and Canterlot. The wedding was set for Heart's and Hooves day only two days from today. But that wasn't what was making Midnight nervous. He knew that everything was set and nothing would go wrong to disrupt the wedding. No, it was what was going to happen later today that really made him nervous.

"I can't believe I asked Discord to organize the bachelor party. For all I know he is going to bring fifty women there to strip for us........... Wait, there aren't any sentient species on this planet that wear clothing. So what the hell do they do then?" Midnight spoke idly to himself as he paced back and forth in Celestia's quarters, Starlight playing quietly with Marina over next to the door to the balcony. The sunlight from outside shining in onto the two foals.

"Daddy, why are you so nervous?" Marina spoke up as she looked over to him, her little brother placing another block onto the stack that already stood almost as tall as the both of them.

Midnight paused for a moment as he came over to his two foals, sitting down onto his haunches while crossing his forelegs in front of him. Star smiling up to him while Marina just gave him a puzzled look.

"Honey, It's nothing really, just something that I asked Discord to do for me. Knowing him though, it means that his little surprises could get out of hoof. I just hope he doesn't go overboard on anything. That's the last thing I need right now."

Starlight, while listening to the tone of his fathers voice as he spoke, got up from his spot and trotted over to in front of him and sat down on his haunches, Midnight laying his head down onto the floor and looking up to his son and daughter. Star gave him a smile as he pulled a hoof up and gently patted his fathers nose while speaking.

"Don't worry daddy, you be ok." Starlight smiled to his father before wrapping his hooves around his snout and giving him a hug. Midnight giving a contented smile before blowing bubbles onto the foals belly, making him squeal out and bounce away.

"I'm not worried, because I have you two to make me smile even on my worst day." He said as he playfully chased after them, both squealing loudly as the raced around the room.

"My goodness, what is all this commotion about?" Celestia spoke up as she came into the room.

"MOMMY!" The two foals shouted in glee as they both raced over to her.

"TIA!" Midnight shouted as he bolted over and playfully tackled her to the floor with the two giggling foals as well. All of them laughing loudly before untangling themselves and standing once more.

"I see that you're in rather high spirits today dear." Celestia giggled as she gave her stallion a nuzzle.

"It's because we have such wonderful little foals to help keep them high." Midnight chuckled as he nosed Star, making him giggle out.

"True, but I am afraid I must inform you that your presence has been requested in the throne room. You have a rather...... unusual visitor waiting for you." Celestia smiled to him causing him to cock a brow.

"Alright then, but watch these two, I think they were attempting to build a fort out of blocks so they could battle those fluffy pillows on your bed." Midnight chuckled seeing them smile widely before bolting back over to the pile of blocks to continue building. Celestia letting out a giggle seeing them quickly placing blocks up and around them. "I'll be back shortly." He smiled before taking off.

After a few minutes of walking along he had finally arrive into the throne room, looking around he didn't notice anypony, but there was a young human female standing near the staircase to the throne.

"Samantha?" Midnight spoke out quickly in somewhat of a shock. The young lady turning her head and giving a smile as she noticed the dark Alicorn.

"Well now, it has been a while since I've seen that ugly mug." She chuckled as she walked over but stopped as Midnight's horn lit up, a beam of magic washing over her for just a moment before the magic faded from it. "O.......kay?"

"Sorry, but I am sure that you're aware that we are at war with Screwball and a band of elemental ponies, all of which were your previous co-workers." Midnight stated as he trotted up to her.

"Yes, and that's why I am here, to give you this." Samantha stated as she pulled out a small booklet, Midnight quickly taking up in his magic as he flipped it open to read it.

"These are all of the notes that I could gather about the spells and potential weaknesses regarding the ponies that would bare the element that they had been given. I'm not sure if it will be of any use, but you should be the one to have them, just in case." She said as the book left her hands as Midnight began to skim over a few pages to check out the notes.

"Thank you Sam, this will indeed be a helpful tool in the coming war. But I have a feeling that this is not the only reason that you came by Canterlot." He smirked seeing her rubbing the back of her neck sheepishly.

"To be honest, no, it isn't. I've been worrying about Kindle for a while now and have been going over what notes were left in the labs. It seems that the only reason that we were doing those tests were because they wanted to add a mind control serum to the spell but couldn't figure out how to since each spell was different. I actually saw Kindle and Steel doing that spell on herself before I left the building and went home. I knew something was up after seeing them like that and talking like they were mad, but I never thought they would be the subject of the war that Equestria is preparing for." She said as she shuffled slightly back and forth, worry evident on her face.

"You said you saw them do the spell? But, didn't you say that there was a mind control serum that was to be added to the spell? What was it for other than the obvious?"

"I went back to the labs later that night to gather samples from all of the lab tests, the ones that were complete anyway. The only ones that I could get were for Kindle, Glacia, and Orion."

"Wonderful! I take it those were the few items that I scanned from my spell just a few moments ago?" He asked as he nodded to her pocket.

"Yes, they are. You're free to keep them because I won't be going anywhere near that facility anytime soon." Sam stated as she gave a shudder. "I hate that Kindle got involved with this whole thing. She was such a good kid, one of the few ponies that befriended me without prejudice unlike some of the others." She sighed while rubbing the bridge of her nose.

"Don't worry yourself, Kindle was talking to me before Steel and Screwball showed up to pony nap her. She was saying that she didn't really want to do any of the stuff she had planned to since she got to experience it firsthand. I'm sure that with these notes you've gathered, we may have a chance to return her to normal, if not, give her back her free will."

Samantha gave a saddened smile before wrapping her arms around the dark Alicorn. "I just hope that we can find a cure for her elemental spell before she goes insane."

"That will be taken care of as soon as she is within our grasp." Midnight smiled to her causing her to cock a brow slightly.

"Really? But I thought that specific spell didn't have a counter spell to return a pony to normal." She said as she pulled back from Midnight.

"That is the beauty of being me. Having the ability to make a spell at the very thought of it is within my grasp, however there is a problem with it." He stated as his expression turned to concentration. "I will need to use a scan spell on her before I can make the spell. This will ensure that it can be cast on her without her having any serious side effects."

"Such as?" Samantha asked as she waved her hand out in a flourish.

"Death, coma, being placed into a permanent vegetable state? The list goes on sadly." He sighed as he lowered his head.

"I......... see." Sam said as she lowered her vision to the floor.

"Alright, time for a change of subject." Midnight stated as he spoke up in a more chipper tone.

"I do say that you are correct my dear friend." Disocrd spoke up as he appeared in the blink of an eye next to them, Samantha pulling back in slight shock upon seeing the draconequus. "Ah, and we have another human in our midst. Please, let me introduce myself." Discord chuckled as he did a little bow, sweeping his arms in front of him and to the side. "Discord, God of Chaos." He said as he raise his vision to meet Samantha's, a smile creeping across his face as he noticed her staring at him in shock.

"Uh........" She trailed off looking from Discord back to Midnight and then back once again.

"Don't worry about Captain Disco, he is a friend, albeit a strange one." Midnight smirked before giving the draconequus a playful nudge.

Discord grinned as he manifested a large disco ball, lights, music, and a completely accurate white disco outfit with matching purple undershirt made of silk onto himself before pulling Samantha to him and doing a little jig with her.

Midnight chuckled as he watched them dance for a moment, Samantha more unwilling than willing. Just as Discord spun her around once and let her fall into his bear arm he smiled down to her wiggling his eyebrows for a moment before his face contorted into that of pain. When he opened his eyes he was looking up toward the disco ball spinning on the ceiling. Samantha standing over him with a smirk spread across her face. Midnight just standing to the side with a shock expression across his face.

"Next time, ask a lady before you go into a full disco dance and dragging her into it, and keep those hands off my ass." She snapped as she pointed to the draconequus lying on the floor before walking back over to Midnight as he continued to gawk at her.

"Third degree black belt. I've surprised quite a few low lifes that had roaming hands before." She smirked looking back to Discord who had raised his head to stare unblinking at the human female. "I'll be around the castle for the day, I'll fill you in on my other plans later on, as long as this one decides to play nice and keep his grubby paws to himself." She smirked again looking to Discord before giving him a wink and walking away.

Midnight trotted over to the draconequus lying on the floor still and looked down to his smiling face in confusion.
"Dude, you just got kicked in the groin, and then slammed into the floor. Why in the hell are you smiling?"

"Wow, I think I'm in love." He chuckled only to cause Midnight to groan, facehoofing.
