The element bearers had landed about ten yards from Screwball, Steel, and Midnight who was still in his trance like state. Applejack, Twilight, and Rarity noticing his lax state and quickly bolting to his side with the others, standing guard in front of him.

"Girls, shield stance." Twilight spoke out as the others stood in a pentagon pattern around the Alicorn, quickly powering their elements up and raising a shield that surrounded the Alicorn and themselves. Twilight went over to check on Midnight but was quickly repelled backwards from the invisible shield that surrounded him. She backed up, stunned for a brief moment before raising a hoof and tapping it against the shield, a small ripple emanating from the soft impact and moving outward into the air around him.

"A shield?" She stated in confusion as she looked at the Alicorn.

"That's right, and nothing can break through it. I made sure of that." Screwball grinned evilly toward the purple unicorn. Twilight turning back to the Chaos pony as she began.

"What are you doing to him? Why is he crying?" She snorted out.

"I am carrying out my revenge on him for turning my father to stone." She chuckled. "He will live the rest of his life in that dreamlike state, watching helplessly as those he loved die before his very eyes, over and over again. A never ending cycle that will in time break his very mind and leave him an emotionless husk to die as he is still forced to watch on." Screwball began to giggle softly as it turned into a maniacal laugh. Causing Twilight to bolt forward out of the protective shield, charging toward Screwball in a fit of rage.

"Ah ah aaaaah." Steel spoke out as he stepped between the two ponies quickly, taking the full impact of Twilight's charge only to make her dead stop upon impact. She staggered for a moment as the wind was knocked from her. Steel smiling as he quickly turned around and bucked her hard, sending her flying backwards through the elements shield and bouncing off of the one shield surround Midnight before being sent into the dirt.

"Sorry about that, guess I don't know my own strength." Steel chuckled as he watch the others glare at him as he brushed a hoof on his chest.

Twilight lay on the ground shaking as she tried to stand. Using every bit of strength she could muster to force herself up and onto her legs.

"You won't get away with this." She spoke out in a shuddering breath.

"But we already have.......... Can't you see that your precious Alicorn is trapped in a never ending spell of torment. He can no longer help you or even himself. And since he is out of the way, killing you will be that much easier." Screwball cackled as she bolted forward, hitting the shield the elements had made around the Alicorn with everything she had.

The shield rippled in a spectacle of light upon the impact, sending a loud shock wave in all directions. Screwball continued cackling madly as she kept hitting the shield with everything she had. Blow after blow causing it to ripple and scream out as it was forced to hold strong against the blows.

*Cr-crack*

*RUMBLE*

Discord's stone prison had begun to crack much faster now, the cracks reaching all over his stone body, softly glowing as his power continued to climb. The stone encasing him slowly falling off as it revealed his talon hand which slowly began to close up and form a fist.

"MIDNIGHT! WAKE UP! YOUR UNDER A SPELL!" Twilight shouted toward the Alicorn as she attempted to break through the barrier of his mind and the spell holding him hostage.

In midnight's mind however, he didn't hear her yelling for him to wake up. All he could hear was her screaming in agony, asking him for help as she was being stomped to death over and over by Celestia before seeing his foal being ripped apart and tossed at him in disgust before the events started over again. This had been going on for over an hour now, and the tears had stopped a short time ago as he watched helplessly. The sadness and torment he was enduring, slowly being turned to anger and spite as his mind broke through the first barrier of the spell. He could now tell that the event's were being replayed in front of him, and this alone angered him to no ends.

*c-crack*

The element bearers gave a gasp as they saw a crack form in the shield surrounding them. Fluttershy recoiling in fear and causing the shield to waver for just a second as Screwball landed another blow causing a small hole to appear where her hoof had penetrated it. She pulled the hoof back as she smiled evilly through the barrier toward them.

"It's only a matter of time before I kill you all, then take over this pathetic world for daddy!" She cackled on as she pulled out a giant mallet and began to smash it into the shield, causing it to crack further upon each hit.

*RUUUUUMMMMMMBBBBBBLLLLLLLEEEEEEEE*

*CRACK*
*SNAP*

*CRACKLE*

Discord's stone prison began to crack further and further, each cracked line of the stone glowing brighter and bright as he continued to try and break free. One arm was now completely void of stone as it lowered to his side, waiting for the rest of his body to become free so that chaos could rule.

The shield surrounding the element bearers began to break further now with each blow. Pieces falling from it left and right like broken glass as Screwball hammered away at it with her mallet. She let out a loud war cry as she spun around several times to gain momentum before slamming the mallet one final time into the shield, making it shatter and fall into a million pieces around the elements and Midnight. They all staggered for a moment as the shield fell to the ground. That was all that was needed as Screwball quickly placed shields around all of them individually and pulled them to in front of her.

"My my myyyyyyyyyyyyy..................... Looky at what I have. A gaggle of mares that can't keep a shield up to protect themselves, and a foalish Alicorn who fell into an easy trap. I do think now that my father would be ecstatic to see this." She chuckled for a moment as she watched them all glare at her.

"You won't get away with this. Midnight will fight your spell and return to save this world once again." Rarity shouted toward the chaos pony only to make her snarl as she pulled the trapped ivory pony to within inches of her face.

"Shut your trap! I hold all the cards here, and I have you all beaten! There is absolutely nothing that can stop me now!" She grinned for a moment before stopping as a voice spoke up.

"Think again demon!" Came the icy words of the dark Alicorn from behind them.

Screwball moved the element bearers to the side as they all turned to the Alicorn still held within the shield she had made. But something was different that caused them all to slightly recoil in fear. Midnight's mane and tail were now a solid black flame, looking to be an extension of his coat. His expression that of rage and hate as he grinned evilly at her. His teeth no longer the normal molars that everypony had, but fangs that increased his ability to bring fear into their hearts. But what really caused them fear wasn't those details, it was his eyes.

Midnight's iris' had turned in a solid red while the whites had turned a bright green. A deep purple mist slowly rising from the outer rims of his eyes as he stared a hole through the slightly cowering Screwball.

"THAT'S NOT POSSIBLE! DOW DID YOU BREAK FREE FROM MY SPELL!" Screwball shouted toward the Alicorn as he took a step forward and stopped as his horn scraped the shield surrounding him, sparks flying off as he continued to pressed into it.

"You forgot one thing about me moron." Midnight grinned again as he ran his tongue over his sharp teeth. "I may be a pony now, but my very nature is human, and that alone is what I used to break that spell. It's fueling me right now to capture you and whisk you away into a far off place so that I can torture you, maim you, rape and beat you, hurt you emotionally, physically and mentally. Oh we are going to have so much fun when I get ahold of you. I doubt anything could stop me now." Midnight continued to grin seeing not only Screwballs face of fear and horror, but also the element's faces of confusion and fear as to what they had just heard.

*CRACK SNAP*

Discords stone prison had finally fell as he vanished from sight before the final piece of stone had even met the ground.

Midnight smiled wickedly as his horn scrapped the shield surround himself, he pressed forward as the hunger on his face grew even more intense. His craving and blood lust growing as his body was now being consumed in the licking black flame.

*Crack*

The shield surrounding Midnight cracked at the point where his horn began to press through the shield. He smiled seeing the expression of horror and fear spread further onto Screwballs face. After pulling back he rammed forward driving his horn further through the shield, it starting to glow as he forced power into it and causing his own shield to press outward from his horn to further break the shield.

"Thats not possible!" Screwball squeaked out in fear as she began to pull back in fear, her shield surrounding the element bearers faltering enough for them to break free and quickly move to behind Midnight as he let out a scream of bloodlust. The shield surrounding him shattering and falling to the ground. Screwball watched in complete horror as Midnight's wings opened, sending a cascade of black flames outward as he launched himself toward her, his mouth open as he turned his head sideways, ready to bite into her neck and end her pitiful life.

*flash*

Screwball blinked as she was coiled up into a floating fetal position, looking forward to where her attacker should be, but only saw brown fur. She gave a small gasp as she looked up to see Discord with a look of pain across his face. She manage to look around him slightly as she saw Midnight floating there, his mouth clamped onto the draconequus' taloned foreleg and bleeding badly.

Midnight, upon seeing Screwball peeking around Discord flew into a further fit of rage as his mouth clamped down, separating Discord's taloned arm from his body. Discord let out a howl of pain as he kicked out with both back legs, flinging each of them apart in a flash of speed.

"I'll kill you Screwball, and I'm going to enjoy it. I'll never enjoy anything so much for the rest of my life as I watch your very soul scream as I tear it from your dieing corpse." Midnight cackled madly as he was now lost in his blood lust.

"Time to go........." Discord spoke as he pulled Screwball to him with his bear arm and vanished in a flash of bright light causing Midnight to blink before letting out a roar of complete rage, the sound wave spreading across the land like a sonic boom tens times over.

"Midnight!" Shouted Twilight from behind him causing him to whip around and glare at the bearers for a moment before his expression softened slightly.

"T-Twilight?!" He spoke in shock as he finally noticed her and the others for what seemed like the first time.

Twilight and the other took a step closer to him causing him to visibly step back in a panic.

"NO! Stay away! This is another one of those tricks Screwball is playing with my mind!" He spoke as the rage left his eyes for a moment as they returned back to their normal green iris'.

"Midnight, it's us. We're the real versions of what you thought was real while under her spell. Don't be afraid, we're all safe now." Twilight spoke out in a soothing voice as she took another step closer. Midnight's mane and tail slowly returning to a normal shade of color as he was frozen in his stance for just a moment. His breaths suddenly becoming ragged as he staggered for a moment, his eyes clenching shut as he struggled to breath before falling to the ground in a heap, his body shaking as he let out a howl that seemed like a dieing scream of pain.

"What's going on?! What's wrong with him?!" Twilight shouted as they all rushed up to him but stayed just out of his reach as a bright flash erupted from next to him.

"It's from something he took a short time ago." Luna stated as she enveloped the dark Alicorn in her magic as Celestia stood next to her, her horn glowing brightly as the sun began to crest over the horizon.

"What do you mean its something he took?" Rarity asked as she looked at the writing Alicorn.

"It appears he has obtained an extremely rare form of saliva from Zecora. She mistakenly gave him the wrong vial of Worg saliva that had been tainted with that of one of the few alpha were's that inhabited the ancient lands of the worgs before our arrival on this world." Celestia stated. "She managed to locate a pegasus shortly after Midnight arrived in her hut to request the saliva. It took just under an hour for the pegasus to reach us and tell us about what had happened. We are just lucky enough to have reached him in time to see the effects were off for the time being."

"What do you mean the time being princess?" Dash asked while staring at Midnight in worry.

"I am afraid that during the final phase of the moon each month, he will turn into a were until sunrise. During this time he will evoke a form of rage called berserker. His normal feelings toward killing or hurting anything will be completely reversed from what he lives by. I am afraid that his rage will be beyond control during this time.

"Isn't there a way to cure it?!" Twilight asked as she looked to him in worry as he finally quite writing in pain and began to breath normally as he slept.

"I am afraid not. An alpha were form cannot be cured through conventional means." Celestia sighed as she looked to Midnight.

"Then what can we do?" Fluttershy asked in sorrow.

"I am afraid that there is nothing we can do at this time." Luna sighed as they looked to the sleeping Alicorn still in her magical grasp.
