It was still early in the morning when Midnight had made his way to the library from the boutique. Although it was his turn to spend time with Rarity, she had asked him to go ahead and spend the day with Twilight. Not entirely from her generosity, but to keep him out of her mane as she tried to work.

He had arrived at the library rather quickly compared to other times. For some reason he just felt a little more excited to spend time with Twilight that day. Be it from what he had planned, or any other various reason. It just made him that much more excited.

"Twi, you up yet?" He shouted as he came in the front door of the library.

"Yes Night, and I'm with a customer." She spoke up from one of the far rooms.

'A customer? Can you really call someone checking out a book a customer?' He thought to himself as he trotted toward the back room.

As Midnight entered the back room he saw the so called customer. His expression getting a little happier.

"Hey Vinyl, long time no see." He spoke up as he looked to the DJ pony who was looking over a couple of books that Twilight had given her.

"Hey big guy, been a while." She smirked, nodding to the Alicorn. "When you gonna have another concert? My turntables are gettin dusty."

"I actually have on planned not to long from now. I was hoping to have it after winter wrap up. You free then? I've got quite a few songs lined up this time unlike our last performance, and don't worry, Sapphire Shores won't be attending this one either." He laughed.

"Yea, that blowhard cancels a lot of her shows. Probably why she keeps loosing popularity. I mean seriously, you can't expect everypony to just fall at your hooves if you keep canceling tour dates. Never good for business." She chuckled. "Anyway, I just came by to see if Twilight had any new magazines or books on new popular music styles."

"Plus you keep asking if that one magazine finally came in with you on the cover." Twilight smirked causing Vinyl to blush.

"Yea, that too. But hey, give me a break. Yer stallion here is the one who made my dream a reality." She smirked up to the Alicorn. "He shared his music with me. I've already made a few CD's and published them. Most of that music is just sick, and the world knows it."

"Glad I could help, but don't forget to save me some of them. I do plan to have around six songs for the next concert." He chuckled. "And of course your invited as well. I have a couple of songs I'd like to do a duet with you on."

"Seriously? I'm usually a solo act bro, but if yer that desperate for a star, I guess I could pencil you in." She smirked before giving Midnight a playful nudge.

"Keep that up and your head might explode. Feeding your ego like that could be dangerous for everypony around you." Midnight smirked, giving a nudge back.

""Yea yea, I'll keep that in mind when I release my next album." She grinned. "Until then though, come by my shop, We'll see what those duet songs you've planned sound like." Vinyl gave a smile before heading toward the door, looking back to the Alicorn. "See you two later."

Midnight gave a chuckle before turning back to Twilight as Vinyl left the library with a magazine and book in tow.

"Hey doll, you free for the day or are you going to be buried in books again?" He asked as he trotted up to her as she was placing a few books back onto the shelves.

"I've got plenty of time today. I'm ahead on my studies thanks to your scan spell, so I have plenty of free time." She beamed at him. "Why? I thought you were going to spend some time with Rarity." She said as she cocked her head slightly.

"Yea, she said she had a lot to do today and sent me out, making a point that I should spend my time today with you since we missed our days this week."

"Awwww, I'll have to thank her, but first we need some plans for today." Twilight smiled as she began to pull out a scroll and quill, but stopped as Midnight grabbed them with his own magic and returned them to her desk.

"How about we wing it today? Just go out and do things at random." He smiled as he snatched Twilight up and a full body hug. She giggling as he nuzzled the side of her face.

"I guess we could, but I think it would be better to plan things out first." She gave a sideways smirk to him laughing.

"Naaaaaaah, Randomness is way more fun. Planning things out is just boring at times because you know what you're going to do. Have a little fun and decide on the fly." He chuckled before nibbling her neck playfully, making her squirm and giggle.

"ALRIGHT! Alright, random it is you crazy Alicorn." She laughed before teleporting from his grasp to his side.

"You really need to let me torment you more often doll. You look so cute when your flustered." Midnight laughed seeing her turn a crimson red.

"Stop that. You know I'm easily embarrassed. Anyway, Let's get going, I'm sure you have something planned for the day with me. If not, I would be really surprised." She smirked as she walked toward the door but stopped as she was suddenly picked up and placed onto Midnight's back before being blinded by a bright flash. Then wind, cold cold wind.

Twilight opened her eyes to see nothing but clouds all around her as she lay on her stallions back. The cold wind was suddenly replaced by warmth as she was surrounded by a magical aura.

"MIDNIGHT!?" She shouted as she realized where she was. The two had teleported into the sky high above Ponyville.

"Yes dear?" She grinned back.

"You know I hate heights! What in tartarus is wrong with you?!" She continued shouting as she wrapped her hooves around his neck.

"Oh quit being such a baby. We're only 800 feet above the town." He laughed. I can go higher though if you want." He began to chuckle as his wings bent at more of an angle to make him ascend. Until Twilight smacked him upside the head of course.

"NO! Not higher, go lower." She yelled into his ear.

"That's what she said." Midnight grinned back to her as he watched realization of what was said cause a mixture of emotions on her face.

First, confusion, then realization, then embarrassment. It was a sight to behold.

"You pervert, you know what I meant." She shouted again.

"Fine, you big baby. You didn't seem to have any fear when I gave you wings that one time."

"That was different, When I lost the wings during flight, it made things rather scary." She grumped.

"Well then. how about this?" He smiled as his horn glowed brightly. A flash of light erupting from him as he disappeared and reappeared as armor and a set of drake wings onto Twilight. She rubbed her eyes for a moment as she realized what had just happened.

"Better?" Midnight spoke up as Twilight's armor.

"Ugh, did you really have to do that?" Twilight groaned as she hovered on the spot. "And where is my Scythe? I though you would be the weapon as well."

"Well, I can make the weapon disappear to become a higher grade set of armor. I thought you knew that." Midnight said as Twilight placed a hoof onto her chin in thought.

"Hmmmm, Now that you mention it, I do feel a little bulkier without a weapon, but it doesn't take away from my movement. Maybe............" She trailed off.

"Bit for your thoughts." Midnight chuckled.

"I was just thinking. You shared your spell list with me before, remember?"

"Yea, so?"

"Well, that means I have your armor spell as well." She smirked as she could feel Midnight realize what she was thinking.

"HOLY CRAP! You so have to do that spell on me!" He shouted just before returning to normal and letting Twilight stay on his back.

"Are you sure?" She grinned evilly.

"YES YES! Don't torment me woman!" He squealed out in glee.

"Alright, fair warning though. Don't do anything stupid." She smirked as her horn began to glow, he body disappearing as it slowly enveloped the Alicorn below her.

After a few seconds, the light around Midnight vanished, being replaced by an awe inspiring set of purple armor. He had purple shoes similar to his regalia, a chest plate, flank guards, wither and neck guards, but what really made things interesting was the fact that his wings had disappeared and were replaced by a set of ethereal wings made from a purple wisp of smoke. His fire mane and tail mixing along with them to give an eery show of purple fire. Midnight looked himself over for a minute to check out the visuals.

"Very nice Twi. But there is a definite lack of armor and weapons, I'm taking a guess that your own abilities have multiplied my own." He spoke out in thought.

"Only one way to find out, cast a spell." She laughed.

Midnight thought for a moment about what spell to cast, giving a devious grin his horn lit up as a beam of light engulfed him.

"So Twi, ever broke the sound barrier?" He asked before vanishing from sight.

*BOOOOOOOOOOM*

"This is incredible!" Midnight shouted over the sound of the wind as he bolted through the sky. It had only taken him a few seconds to reach mach ten. Behind him lay a wide trailed of purple fire through the sky.

"Yes it is, think we could go faster?" Twilight shouted as adrenaline rushed through her.

"Only one way to find out." Midnight laughed as he pushed more magic through his body and into his wings. The ethereal glow of them brightening as the world became a total blur. He looked down to see Canterlot passing by every few seconds as night turned to day and then back again.

"Are we?" Twilight began but stopped as Midnight finished.

"Circling the globe? Eeyup." He laughed as they began to slow down. After a minute they came to a halt just above Ponyville, landing onto a cloud and returning to normal. Twilight taking up her position on her stallions back once again.

"That, was intense." Midnight laughed as he caught his breath.

"Wow, I never thought that becoming armor like that could be so............ thrilling." She beamed.

"Oh crap!" Midnight spoke up catching his unicorn's attention. "I shared my list with Trixie and Tia as well." He began to grin.

"Not today, your spending time with me remember?" She spoke out as she bit down on his ear and giving a playful tug.

"Ow ow ow, hey now mistress of pain, I know, I know." He laughed as he tried to tug away but only felt her bite down a little harder. He stopped pulling as he felt her warm breath escaping softly into his ear, in turn causing him to look back at her with a cocked brow.

Twilight grinned at him with a sultry gaze before moving closer and kissing him roughly. After a minute the separated, looking into each others eyes.

"Well now, had I known that becoming armor would get you this riled up, I would have MMMF!" He was quickly silenced by a hoof pressed into his mouth.

"Shut up and kiss me you idiot." Twilight laughed.

"Yes ma'am." He grinned.

"Seeya Dash, good practice today." Spitfire spoke up as she nodded to the rainbow pegasus before breaking off and flying away toward her own destination.

"Later." Dash spoke up as she gave a friendly nod back and broke off her flight path, heading toward Ponnyville. "Dang that practice today was brutal, and I thought my practice sessions were tough." She giggled. "Ah well, nothing like practicing with the Wonderbolt's to really get the blood flowing." She said as a determined smirk flash across her face. "Now its time for some............." She trailed off as a flash of black caught her eye from a cloud nearby. "What was that?" She asked herself as she landed on a cloud, looking off toward the black spec laying on a cloud.

After training her eyes onto the target in question she gave a smirk. "What's Midnight doing out here?" She asked herself as a grin spread across her face. "Aw yea, time to prank a pony." She giggled quietly as she dug herself into the cloud, hiding her presences as she spread her wings out of the sides of it and giving a few gentle flaps to propel her toward her target.

As she got closer though she listened over the sound of the wind as soft moaning could be heard.

"What in the hay?" She thought to herself as she gently spread the cloud in front of her face to try and see what was going on. Once her eyes had witnessed what was going on however she seized up, her body turning a crimson red.

"OMIGOSH! Twi and Night are rutting up here?! Don't they know pegasi could catch them doing this?" She thought to herself. "Well, better me than anypony else. I guess I'd better............. let............them..........." She trailed off as she cocked her head slightly from watching the two. "Dang, Night never did that to me before.......... or that............. GEEZ! Ok time to go." She said as a trickle of blood oozed from her nose at seeing what was going on. She slowly managed to make the cloud descend just enough so that she was out of sight before pulling out of the cloud and flying off to Ponyville.

"Hoo boy, I am so going to get onto Night for rutting out in the open like that." She giggled to herself. "And then I'm going to do the same thing." She gave a devious grin as her cheeks flushed a bright red.
