Chapter 116: 116. Being a mare ain't easy (part 2)

Previous Chapter Next Chapter

Although it had only been a few hours since her transformation, Night Wind was already regretting it with vigor as she strolled quietly through town. She would avert her gaze quite often when coming upon any stallion that happened by. Though that did nothing when she was suddenly stopped by one of them for a chat. She was just lucky her coat was solid black or she would be having a serious problem on her hooves.

The girls on the other hoof had been spying on her the entire time, Twilight having placed an invisibility spell onto all three of them so they could follow her without being seen.

"I can't believe how well Night is taking all'this. It's like it ain't bothering'im at all." AJ sighed as she continued watching the stallion turned mare as she continued down the street.

"Oh don't worry about that, I made sure to cast an extra special spell on him just to be sure he would regret ever taking this bet." Twilight grinned evilly.

"Twilight? What do you mean 'extra special' spell?" Rarity asked cocking a brow.

"Oh nothing, I just manipulated the heat spell to grow stronger as time passed." She giggled as they all continued watching the pony.

"Exactly ow'bad is it gonna get sugarcube?" AJ asked giving a smirk.

"You remember that magical heat that swept across Equestria not to long ago?"

Both of the girls nodded.

"It will be ten times as strong as that once the week comes to an end, and with his sex drive already high enough, I won't be surprised if he comes to us begging to have the spell removed." Twilight grinned.

"Twi, has anypony ever told ya how evil you can be at'times?" AJ chuckled.

"Midnight has on more than one occasion, yet another reason to troll his sorry flank." She grinned once more seeing Night stop to talk to yet another stallion.

Night had slowly but surely made her way through town, stopping ever so often to chat with one of the locals, and in several instances been asked out by a few stallions, and even another mare. Although reluctant at the moment, she refused the dates saying she would only be in town for a week before moving on to another location. A short time would pass before she made it to the library, heading inside only to see Spike giving her an odd look.

"Hi...... uh..... can I help you with anything miss?" Spike asked as he grabbed a couple books, tossing them at a small glowing orb which sent them flying toward and onto a bookshelf.

"Hey Spike, nah I'm good." She sighed. "Just need to take a VERY cold shower." She chuckled.

"This is a library miss, the spa is further into town." He said while cocking a brow.

"Heh, it's me Spike, Midnight." He chuckled.

"Midnight? But..... your a mare?! Wha......how?" He stammered while scratching his head in disbelief.

"Two words Spike, Twilight, and Bet." He sighed in annoyance.

"Ah, that explains the smell as well." He sighed, flaring his nostrils.

"Smell?"

"Yea, It smells like your in season. I take it that was part of the bet." Spike chuckled.

Night stood there for a moment taking in a few deep breaths to see if she could smell the fragrance of a mare in season but couldn't. "I guess I can't smell myself being in heat." She sighed. "But that's a good thing since it won't rile me up anymore than I already am." She chuckled before heading toward the bathroom.

After a good twenty minutes Night stepped from the bathroom giving a contented sigh before heading to the exit.

"Hey Midnight." Spike began.

"Just Night for now Spike, while I'm a mare anyway." He smiled.

"Ok then, A couple stallions stopped by a few minutes ago asking for you. I told them you weren't available at the moment but I could relay a message."

"Oh good grief." She sighed while placing a hoof onto her face. "What did they want?" He asked looking to Spike.

"They both wanted to know if you were single and if you would go out with them this weekend." He chuckled covering his mouth with his claws.

"And who were these two ponies?" Night asked cocking a brow.

"I'm not sure, they seemed to be new in town and saw you come in here. One was an earth pony, his name was Golden Boulder, he has a bright gold coat and a rust brown mane. The other was a unicorn, Emerald Fire. He had a deep green coat and a bright red mane."

Night stood there for a moment as she imagined the two stallions. Spike watched her as a dopey grin slowly spread across her face and a girlish giggle began to escape her.

"I am never going to understand mares." He groaned as he headed into the kitchen.

Night left the library heading back into town. The heat she was experiencing only got worse if she stood still for longer than a few minutes. Even during the shower she couldn't help but cop a feel of herself.

*A few minutes back as Night entered the library*

"Alright girls, time for plan A, are you ready?" Twilight grinned.

"Are you sure about this darling? Isn't this a little underhoofed?" Rarity asked giving an unsure look toward Twilight.

"He agreed to the rules set, interfearance is permitted. Besides, don't you two want to win?" Twilight asked cocking a brow.
AJ and Rarity just looked at each other with a silly grin causing Twilight to groan.

"Seriously?" Twilight looked at them in disbelief. "Well then think of this. Would you rather have us do his bidding, or him doing everything we want?" She grinned causing them to grin evilly.

"Let's do this!" They spoke in unison as Twilight's horn lit up, a beam of magic hitting the two and turning them into stallions each.

"Wow, this feels a mite strange." AJ spoke in a husky stallions voice similar to a deeper version of Braeburn's.

"I agree, OH! Listen to me, my voice is simply to die for." Rarity giggled at her new voice, it sounding sophisticated yet rough. Like a mix between Big Macintosh and Prince BlueBlood.

"One other thing you two, don't act like yourselves. That is a dead give away of who you are, and also don't forget to pick out a new name." Twilight said in a teacher-esque tone.

"Ah think Golden Boulder's a good name." AJ said as he looked himself over.

"I shall be Emerald Fire. It matches my coat and mane perfectly." Rarity smiled looking himself over.

"Alright then, now for your new cutiemarks." Twilight spoke as her horn lit up once again casting an illusion spell that would overlay their current cutiemarks with another. AJ's appeared as a large golden colored rock with little twinkle stars around it, while Rarity's an Emerald with a cloak of fire around it.

"Oh I do believe I am going to have fun like this." Emerald chuckled.

"Dern tootin." Golden smirked.

*Back to the present*

"I really am going to regret this week. I can't believe I fell into this stupid bet willingly." Night sighed as she trotted along not paying attention to where she was going.

*OOF*

Night stumbled forward tripping and falling onto the pony that she had just bumped into.

"Oh I am so sorry, are you ......... alright?" Night said as she shook herself to her senses before staring at the beefiest looking stallion she had ever seen right below her.

"Sure am, but if we stay like this then a few ponies might think differently." Golden chuckled looking up to Night and then to the small crowd of ponies that stopped to look at the two.

Night gave a surprised yelp before bolting upright with a quick flap of her wings. Golden quickly getting to his hooves as well.

"Ah told that lil dragon fella teh give ya a message, didn't think ya would find me an bowl me over just teh get a date." He chuckled causing the mare before him to circle the ground with her hoof nervously.

"No, I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention to where I was going. Wait, you said you gave a dragon a message to give to me? Then you must be........ Golden Boulder? If I recall correctly from Spike's description."

"Bingo, and you might be...." He smiled to her.

"Night Wind." She smiled back nervously.

"Lovely name for a lovely mare." Golden smiled leaning in closer causing Night's heart to pound, her wings slowly begining to unfurl but stopped as she shook herself from her stupor.

"I......... better be going." She spoke as she began to turn away from the burly stallion.

"Hey now, what's the rush? Did I say something to offend ya?" He spoke out causing her to stop as she looked back.

"No, sorry. I'm just having an off day today is all." She sighed lowering her head.

"Well then how about we have a chat about it? I don't have any plans fer the day, how'bout yerself?"

"No..... but I......" She was cut short as Golden gave her a playful nudge.

"Then come on missy, lets take a trot to the local diner and have a chat over a hot meal, I'm buying." He smiled giving her a wink.

Now at this point Night was beginning to become very conflicted with herself. She knew that this was only a bet, and this stallion was probably just out to get a piece of tail by being chivalrous and offering to talk to her of dinner. However, the heat was starting to cloud her judgement causing her to believe that this was all just him being kind hearted to her. From all of her experience in picking up women and mares alike, from all the lines she had laid out spoken to gain their trust, She was never prepared to have the tables turned on her.

In the shadows Twilight and Emerald were watching the two, giggling silently to themselves as Night had been picked up rather easily, and on the first try no less.

"I do believe that Applejack is going to win this bet for us darling." Emerald giggled as the two ponies walked into the diner taking a seat.

"I'm beginning to think so as well." Twilight smirked as she watched them from a distance.

"Wait, it looks like their arguing now." Emerald spoke up just before Golden was sent flying through the window of the diner and onto the ground by a hard buck. Night Wind jumping through the shattered remains and taking flight away from the area.

Twilight and Emerald bolted to the fallen pony as a loud groan escaped him.

"Dang that pony can buck." He groaned as he began to raise up onto his hooves.

"What in the world did you say to her?" Twilight asked giving a shocked expression.

*two minutes prior*

"So what's a pretty mare like you doing running around here?" Golden smiled.

"Not much really, just visiting the town for a bit to see some friends before I head home at the end of the week." She smiled back sheepishly.

"Then how about we have a drink, to making new friends and possible lovers." He chuckled giving a smirk.

"Ahem, I'm not interested in finding a lover." Night spoke out in a rather annoyed tone.

"Oh come on now missy, ah saw the way ya was looking at me when ya bowled me over earlier. Ya cain't say ya ain't interested." He laughed as he wiggled his eyebrows only to make Night's eye twitch slightly.

"I think this conversation is over, it's obvious you didn't want to just have a chat." Night snorted as she stood up heading toward the door of the diner.

"Now hang on just a sec sugar." He spoke up reaching out a hoof and accidentily hitting her flank instead of grabbing her gently to stop her escape. Night gave a loud snort as her face contorted into that of anger before two well placed hooves connected with the stallion sending him through the window that was next to their booth.

*back to the present*

"Ah think ah'm gonna call it quits." Golden spoke out as he tried to shake the stars from spinning around his head.

"Well I'm not going to give up so easily." Emerald smirked as he took chase.

"I sure hope Rarity has better luck then you did AJ." Twilight giggled seeing the daze earth pony.
